DCU is the best bank I have ever used, but there are a couple of down sides that caused me to give them a 3 start rating. The hours of operation are not long enough. There hours of operations is my shift at work making getting there impossible for me. It literally makes me so angry. Especially if I need something that can only be done at a branch. Something that also frustrates me is you can only make so many transfers from your saving accounts on your own. I am not sure if that is their own policy but you only have 6 and once there are used you have to go to a branch to do more for that month. But I can't get there, because their hours of operation are inconvenient for me.

I went in today to sign up for a checking and savings account and to talk about potentially refinancing my 26% interest rate car loan. When I got the loan on the vehicle I had no option but to accept the rate, and not knowing too much about loans I didn't realize I was paying over $6,000 in interest. I planned to just discuss my options with refinancing today as I figured it would be a long, stressful process, but as soon as I told Cindy Lavigne what my interest rate was she said, "ok, yeah we're going to fix this right now." In under an hour she had me signed up with a checking and savings account, and a new car loan with a 2.2% interest. I will now be paying $500 in interest, rather than 12 times that. I was almost in tears honestly. Aside from all that Cindy helped me with, she was also just very pleasant, supportive, and quick! Not to mention that it seems like this bank offers some really great functions on the app, and 0.5% back after you put your first $1,000 in the account. I honestly don't think I'll ever switch from this bank!!

It's a credit union for kids who work at McDonald's and have no money or bills . Max withdrawal is $1000 a day. If you pay your own rent , get another account elsewhere.

This branch has the coin counter, as well as free coffee. DCU isn't perfect, but they are human and know it. They always make things right. I left TD Bank for DCU. Convenience isn't always best. I want to do my banking with people who care and the best way to check that out is by speaking with the employees. I didn't choose to use TD Bank anyway. They bought the bank that bought the bank that bought my neighborhood bank.

They never answer their phones I called 11 times and each time on hold for 20 minutes now my card is stolen and my account has nothing left so thanks so much dcu you guys are the worst bank ever!!!! Learn to answer your phone!!!!! It’s part of your job!

Yesterday, walking into the DCU Manchester branch, I really needed someone's help. The person Michele, (who has been a huge part of my banking success), was not in at the time. I was leaving on a 2 week trip the next day and was told by a auto insurance rep. that the "Rental Agencies" DO NOT accept bank debit cards. I was in panic mold. But, I was seen by Paula in Customer Service and she was able to successfully sign me up for a line of credit on a Visa card. I was floored. Not only did she solved a huge eleventh hour problem, but she did it quickly and professionally. It was like meeting someone for the first time, enjoying the conservation, and quickly resolving my problem. I was so impressed with Paula. This is always the great service I receive here at D.C.U. Thank you Paula for saving my trip and being so kind and professional. The kind of service I've come to expect at D.C.U. Thank you, again.

Banked with Citizens and St. Mary's and had absolutely dreadful experiences with both. DCU is incredible in every way and I can't recommend them enough. I'll never go back to a bank.

Have been using dcu for about 4 years now and have always had an amazing experience with Robyn Vanloo. I have had very few times where I have had to use another representative and everytime I had walked out feeling very dissatisfied. Can't say that when it comes to working with Robyn. She's knows my whole story and even remembers things that have happened months prior. Absolutely fantastic, very personable, just all around amazing customer service. Thank you so much Robyn!

I like them because they're in my backyard pretty much and they always take great care of me when I go there. I do not belong to that credit union but I use them all the time because they have shared banking. I would recommend them to anyone.

While their wait time might be a while, their service, on the other hand, is impeccable! DCU offered everything that I was looking for that the big banks in the city (Bank of America, Citizens Bank, and TD Bank) could not match!

After being denied for lack of credit history, DCU accepted my app and gave me an auto loan. Customer service was extremely helpful and they were very quick with responses to emails, etc. Also, low interest rates and low monthly pays (well, mine are). Definitely recommend them especially if you have been denied by another bank.
