I have only good things to say about Santander Bank, especially the Waterbury branch on Chase Avenue. First, the financial products are very favorable for customers and consumers. Second, the tellers and representative s are knowledgeable, pleasant and efficient. Thank you Santander!!

I have had nothing but problems with this Bank! I signed up originally online they insisted via mail I never sent in my signature form, I did twice so they locked my account and I had no access to my account. They said I had to go to a local Branch which is over 20 miles away. I got there and was told that they could not do anything either because the back office people went home for the day at 11am, I would have to wait until they unlock my account. I received a promotional letter in the mail saying because I was a new customer I could receive 225.00 if I signed up for direct deposit which I had, I called they said oh no that does not apply to you because you already opened your account that was sent out for customers that want to open a new account, mind you it was addressed to me, not current resident of my address! I recently had fraud activity I immediately changed my password twice, and then I went in and changed my user name made copies of the mobile check deposits, I never withdrew any money on this by the way, I was charged 2 separate fees of 15.00 because of that. I went to go on my account via online to view any additional activity, they locked me out of my account! I called after waiting over 45 minutes for a rep, which is standard, they said call the police file a report but nothing we can do for you, come in to the account to address and the police department is the only one who can credit you account the check fees!!!!!! I said can I close my account they said you have to come in, I asked if any additional funds I have in my account can be transferred into another checking account I have the rep said you can do it over your computer, I said again, I am locked out!!!! I have spoken to 4 not including an Rep at a local branch, and nothing is getting done. I have to get dressed on a Saturday, drive out of my way knowing a snow storm is coming and in New England, it is not good we get a lot of snow, and speak with someone who I know will tell me everything I just told you about just to get my low balance of 15.00 because of all the charges and fees I have left, into another account and close it out. They also charge you an additional 35.00 overdraft fee after 6 days if still not enough funds in the account!!!!! I am happy to say I have signed up with a New Bank and I made sure to research this bank and it is very local and branches everywhere around me and has been around a long time and already has done more for me in a week then they have in months. Use another bank!

My uncle and grandfather had a very awful experience in Santander bank. My uncle went into Santander bank to withdraw money for bills. He is a disabled veteran of 37years. He had government documentation, and clear identification that was notarized. The manager did not accept any of his information and yelled, “I’m not getting fired for this”. He was refused any help, and extremely disrespected. The Hillsboro, NH branch is well known, and very great to my family. This experience is unacceptable and should not be unrecognized.

They have horrible customer service I was 157 miles from home and there was a unauthorized charge to my account that overdrafted the account due to a hotel error the hotel released the money so I called their customer service and they refuse to help me. I had to borrow money from strangers to survive .Its 4 days later and they still refuse to help me . Due yourselves a favor bank somewhere else

MY wife went in today to get ac check for the cash we collected for the national sclerosis society .they waived the bank fees for the check Twas as good as getting another donation.Great bank ,great service.

It's not the branches fault that I gave 1 star they are very good. It's Santander bank I have a loan and I have auto pay the payment is suppose to be taken out on the 8th of every month so far it has not happened they take it out on the 10th 11th 9th and they are charging me interest on the principle until they take it out. Do they think everyone is stupid and if I'm not being charged please so me

This bank is horrible. I only come here to pay my car note and literally I never have a wait time less than 15minutes. They regards for your time and are not very knowledgeable. Do better

Great experience! My husband and I went there today to open up an account. ED, the manager was just absolutely great! He’s extremely nice and is so willing to help. He made this experience for us great! He even held great conversation throughout the waiting time. He went over each step and even helped us set up our apps for the bank. Thank you Ed for your help. Very helpful, always smiling, referred to me by name. The only thing I didn't quite care for, and I am sure it is a company policy; they many times will ask me to get additional Santander services, or switch accounts, etc. Just looking to do my banking, when I need something I will ask. But again, very nice people to work with - best bank experience ever.
