My husband and I banked with CBC for years and we were their biggest fans. And loved their personal attention to all their customers and could not have been happier with their amazing customer service. Several years ago they changed... Their service started to go and then they made changes and our FREE checking accounts started getting monthly fees. With multiple accounts with them, this started to add up. We were surprised and asked about why if we had been with them before the fees and they gave us no reason just that all their accounts now have fees. We slowly started closing and moving our accounts out of the bank and never got a call or a care that they were losing our business. We had one final account to close and we had not used it for more than 6 months and all it was doing was incurring the $10 fee. We asked over the phone if we could close it and they said we had to come in... This past month their $10 fee caused the account to be overdrawn and resulted in a $30 overdraft fee. They did nothing to reverse the fee and for more than 6 months they had been collecting $10 for an account that was not being used. Instead of refunding the $30 overdraft fee they made us pay it in order to even get the account closed. SERIOUSLY BAD BUSINESS!!! Please, if you are searching for a bank, save yourself and DO NOT bank at Community Banks of Colorado.
