you guys advertise comchecks over the phone guess what you will sit on hold until you give up i have been on hold on my cell and walked in there to see them doing absolutly nothing but talking about who knows what guys truckers have a time to operate on get on board or get out!

Today @ ten a.m. and as an acc. holder for more than six years , @ a bank you would think I could get quarters... but no, as there was no mgr. there to do it , what gives butt-heads?

No matter what time of the day I go in there there is ALWAYS a line of 10 or more people... I have a 30 minute lunch break and I hate spending it in line and STILL being late back to work. Maybe they need to hire more people... or at least have ore than 2 with tills

I went in to make a withdrawal because online said I had x amount of dollars available. The bank manager was snooty and dismissing and told me that my money was not available until the next day. I inquired as to why it shows it's on my account if it was available now and she moeless got attitudinal and said because it's not. Readers , if you're thinking I misread my account and it said pending money trust me it didn't it said available money. I got out of line put it back up on my phone and got back in line and showed it to the teller. At least he had a professional demeanor although he as well could not explain why online said the money was available when it wasn't. He plainly said he didn't understand it but then later back stepped. He would get five stars from me except for the fact that he tried to cover up for Academy Bank and their bad baking practice. although equally couldn't do it because he was reading the same thing I was. Not to mention I drove 16 miles to get there and had to drive 16 miles to get back. I was not at all happy. I went back the next day and withdrew all my money and closed my account. She came from the back and made very negative body motions and I'm sure she even rolled her eyes at me while she was eating food. Poor customer service, very very poor! I called the 1-800 customer service line and complained. I was supposed to get a call back from them and never did. As far as I'm concerned Academy Bank can go back to where it was - I'll never use them again and definitely won't recommend them!!!

I'm not sure how this bank is still in business. If you have stock in it, I pitty you. DO NOT DEPOSIT CASH INTO THIS BANK! If you do, they will close your account. Odd, but true. I deposited too much cash. Lol. My other banks love my cash deposits.

The people at the branch are great, unlike some of the rude hateful people you speak to when you have to call in for customer service. This is a good bank if you can't get an account elsewhere. They gave me a second chance which I appreciate since I messed up my other accounts, but I moved on to another bank now that my credit is back in shape because I got tired of having to call them repeatedly to get problems fixed which should've been fixed without me asking (problems resulting from them losing a deposit, for example). I also got tired of them trying to sell me something every time I made a deposit, and I got tired of them nickel and diming me with fees for things which should be free (like automatically transferring money from savings to checking when needed). Basically, I just got tired of company policies which send the message that they really don't care whether I keep my money there or not.....so... I moved my money elsewhere. Update: It took several tries to successfully close my accounts. I was repeated told my accounts were marked for deletion and would be deleted at midnight. This turned out to be untrue. Customer service reps are rated on how many accounts they "save" from being closed, so I believe some of them will tell you they've closed your account but then actually leave it open to keep their numbers looking good. Such behavior is par for the course with this company. I have never dealt with - or heard of - such an irresponsible financial instituion.

I have never had an issue with this bank or any of the branches. Direct deposit is great, minimum amount needed to open, loan products and process is easy, and the folks here are always nice and ready to help.

Rude, lazy jerks. One time, a male employee refused to help my husband when he went up to the counter. Dude just sat in a chair, with his feet propped up, giving him a dirty look. Another time, I went to get quarters (cause, apparently, Walmart Money Center won't give you any) and they said they don't do that. What kind of bank is this?

Not sure why I keep coming back to this location I keep going across town to take care of my acct but when I have to come because its closer to home and work I have to all the time ask for managers or all customer service the reps there need more training and sure enough not able to work without a supervisor. Tonight I visit the location and beyond the worst service ever I promise you if academy was not so close for my family and business i would be else where this location is not even worth the time I would prefer to drive to south locations

I am seriously getting sick and tired of the games this bank does . I've been on hold 15 min this time trying to deposit a comchek. PRIOR call to get comchek number took 12 min ... The atm fraud alerts locks me out of most pilots which when you travel for your career and this is your most used facility that is a serious issue .. Prime Drivers go with Bank of America the service here has go to the flusher!!!!

Went in with a cashier's check 15 min before cut off time and the manager walked away to help someone else while he was telling a new employee how to help me so she just stood there and waited for him to come back, which happened to be 2 min after cut off time. (Didnt know it at the time) When he didnt know which #s where the acct # to verify on automated system he told me I had to come back the next day because they couldn't put a hold on the check and he was having trouble verifying check. Rewind a little, when I first went in they told me it wouldn't clear right away and there could be up to a 3 day hold because of amount even though it was a cashiers check. But now they cant take it and put a hold on it. So I asked "why?" He then told me it was because I dont have a bad overdraft history. So basically if I was a bad customer I could of deposited the cashiers check but bc I am a "good one" they cant deposit it until tomorrow and they said the amount wasnt high enough. So too high to clear same day but not high enough to put on hold! Really?!?!? I've never heard such garbage! A bank that wont let you deposit $ into own acct. I didnt want cash back. Never even asked. All I wanted to do was deposit a check into my acct. Hell any other bank a machine would of taken my check. Worst bank ever. Thought convenience would be good as I work right there and always in Walmart and extended hrs but overall those convienceces aren't worth the other sacrafices. This isnt first issue either more like the 4th....I can go on and on!

I’ve been with this bank for over two years. The last three times I’ve gone in the manager was absent, so I couldn’t withdrawal from my account. Also they close early before business hours. I’ve been with other banks and academy is by far the worst bank I have been with. Very dissapointed. Would recommend all people thinking of using this bank to reconsider.
