There are two rush times for the Bread Basket. Once in the morning when people are coming to get pastries for work, and then for lunch when people are getting well, Lunch. You can't go wrong for either choice, but alas I mainly go for Lunch. You will find that as soon as you walk in the door there will be a line where people decide on the type of sandwich they want, if they want soup/chili and the type of desert they want. The cool think about the bread basket is that you can chose the type of delicious bread you want as well. So not only do you have to try and figure out what you want for the sandwich you have to figure out what you want for the bread as well. For me, my staple has been jalapeño cheddar bread with chicken salad, which a cookie. I can't ever go wrong with that.

Today was my first experience and I so enjoyed it. The best sandwich I had in a long time everything was fresh and a lot of meat they don't hold back. Love that they offer spouts and that the bread was freshly baked. The soup was the bomb made that morning. The staff is friendly and very helpful. Sandwiches made to order, great soups and of course the homemade breads. Limited seating so it may a little difficult to find a place to sit as they seem to always be busy. Great mom n pop stop. Pastries, cookies, cupcakes, and cake all made from scratch. You can build your own sandwich and they have hot specialties like sloppy joe's. I've actually used them for packaged catering for a group of about 25 people and everyone was extremely pleased with the meals! My mom grew up eating their wide selection of breads, and always treats me to their homemade granola when she gets the chance. The ambiance is that of a small town lunch spot. It's not large, but they do have a few tables outside in the summer. I'd pick this place over subway or Jimmy Johns any day!

Very impressive selection for such a modest sized establishment. All pastries, cookies, cakes, pies and bread are made fresh in store. The menu includes sandwiches, soups, sloppy Joe's, sodas, and even some things that DON'T start with S. Also available, locally made honey, salsa, jam, granola mixes and more. Just be sure to bring a fully loaded wallet, as these items can potentially run near $20 EACH. I may very well be giving The Bread Basket 5 stars, were it not for the time of day that I came in. When I return, I'll have to come in early, because the cream cheese Danish I had at 1 pm today must taste PHENOMENAL when it's fresh.

Giving 3 stars and not 4 due to customer service. The food is wonderful but the customer service leaves much to be desired. They are never friendly when you walk in and seem annoyed to take an order. I don't imagine that getting up at the crack of dawn to bake stuff all day is overly glorious but when you're in the service industry you SMILE and help the customer no matter what, after all they have a choice on whether or not to spend their money with you. I stopped going so often because I got tired of feeling like I was inconveniencing them with a simple order. I'll spend my money at Great Harvest and get better service with similar quality food.

Stopped here with family on road trip. Sandwiches were all great, as was the white chilli soup. The ladies running the place are really nice, and they gave us some extra soup for free. Tried a variety of the cookies. The ginger snap was the best. Wish this place was in Texas. Prices were about what I would expect for the food - all four of us had a full sandwich, soup, and a cookie for about $44.

The Bread Basket Bakery is a Cheyenne must. I highly recommend their home made granolas. They have a bit more honey in them than I expected which makes it a little more chewy than crunchy but all the same, they are delicious. I pick up sticky buns for a friend's birthday each year here. When asked, it is all he wants. A good tip as well, they make fresh challah bread on Fridays, they tend to sell out so get it early but it alone is possibly the most wonderful bread they sell. Stop in for a lunch time sandwich, grab some bread for home and some treats for that work event!

First, let me say that I have always loved this place. Everything I've ever purchased has been 'like Grandma used to make", until today. I purchased two Cream Puffs and a loaf of Lemon Poppy Seed Pound Cake that were simply awful. The Cream Puff was stale, hard and heavy, not the usual flakey pastry I'm used to getting, and the Lemon Poppy Seed Pound cake was dry and tasteless. What's going on?

Excellent small, family run bakery. Bread is their main seller, but they also have cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and sell made to order lunches too. They have breakfast burritos ready to go if you're in a hurry.
