We went there for breakfast and were completely impressed by the place. The service was friendly and efficient, the food was excellent, plentiful, and reasonable, at it had the old style cafe feel. We checked out the lunch buffet before we left and the food looked and smelled delicious. Highly recommend!!!

Love love love love it! Prices are low, bakery is amazing! OMG their pies. I've even taken one piece of cheesecake to go. Buffet is awesome. A lot of options in the salad part and fresh made soups. I loved three types of cakes that were placed in the buffet zone. Thank you so much for such a wonderful place!

Great homemade food, lots of semi truck parking, super friendly faces that get to know you by name. Vicky & Jean are the best servers you could ask for. 4 stars bc the entire lot is so full of potholes. They really have to do something about that bc it's to the point that I disappointedly avoid going in there so I won't break a wheel rim. **Update** Thank you, Exit 45 Restaurant for filling the pot holes! I'm back to getting in there for your amazing food and friendly faces!!! I've changed my initial 4 stars to 5 now.

Very nice place! I stayed here last night in my semi and stopped in for dinner. My waitress named "Jean" was a very friendly lady and was very helpful with any questions I had! The restaurant has that small, family owned, welcoming feel to it that is very nice for truck drivers like myself to unwind with a big meal, and hot cup of coffee after a long day on the road! I had the special which was the chicken & biscuits and I have to say... wow! Portions were huge, and the taste was an easy 5 out of 5 stars! Also had their trucker hash browns on the side that was the biggest plate of delicious hash browns I've ever seen! Highly recommend this place! Nice, clean showers and Cenex gas station attached to it as well!

Food was not as described on menu. Service was lousy. She never came back to see if I wanted more "bottomless" fries or a soda refill. Seemed like I waited forever for her to bring my check. For the time I was there, it was not that busy. Knowing that waitresses don't make good pay and depend on tips, I still left a tip tho it was not deserved.

I have traveled all of the continental U.S. in my truck and as far as I can say, this place has some of the best food in the whole country. Easy to park. Hard to leave. I have been thru many times and I have yet to find one thing that wasn’t delicious. As to the comment about a bad spaghetti experience, I agree with one gentleman’s observation. Don’t get anything with pasta at a truck stop or roadside diner. It’s hard to pull off and the rest of the menu here more than makes up for one dish that’s been forced into most menus it has no place being on. Try this place. You won’t regret it.

This place is TOP NOTCH! Don’t make the mistake of passing this place up. I opted for the dinner buffet expecting it to be just like any other truck stop buffet. I was WRONG. The food was home cooked quality. Everything I tried was excellent. The staff was super friendly and attentive. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Please don’t change for anything. This place is a breath of fresh air.

If you go here and don't grab a bakery item you're missing out. Comfort food all the way around. I've seen a couple posts about the spaghetti not being good. Never get Italian at a roadside diner...bad move in general. I had fried chicken...batter was so light and crispy...sides were good. Service was good...frequent checkins... glass never empty. My only complaint is that it's not well marked. Its in the gas station you see as you turn off. No big sign. But trust me...its there. Grab something from the bakery or you'll be sorry.

Waitress was excellent. It was close to closing and she didn't act tired and didn't rush us. Meatloaf was too done. I would have liked to eat it earlier. My husband liked the chicken fried steak. Green beans were best I've ever had. Great pie selection too.

Just finished the hungry man breakfast with coffee. The food was excellent and the coffee fresh. It is definitely a welcome change from the usual truck stop fare. My waitress Vicki was very friendly and welcoming. I will most assuredly be coming back. Thank you.

1st time that I have been in this restaurant & not felt welcomed. Servers acted as though they did not wish to wait on me-slow to get to table & others that came in after was waited on first. Ordered 1 scrambled egg, received 1 flat egg but oh, well, everyone does not know the meaning of scrambled ( fluffy), potato pancakes that was just in my opinion were no different than hash browns but food was good. Service & food were better the night before. If having breakfast there again, I guess that I might ought to wear something "WHITE" for better & quicker service. Reason no tip was left not because I couldn't not afford it. Money is green but mine is also brown like me

I've through many times for fuel, snacks, and have even parked for the night at times. I saw a sign with that day's dinner which was fish, so I decided to go in and enjoy a plate. When the food finally I thought I was being punked, the portion of fish was so small I thought it was bait. Well I guess they can't all be gems

The food was good. The only problem was the chicken fried steak was undercooked, in the middle, which I prefer mine done. The mashed potatoes were good, but cold. The pancake was good, but you could tell it was sitting on the grill on one side too long, because the one side was crunchy, but it was still good. The waitress seemed kinda depressing! She never refilled the glass of tea, until I got her attention! But all, in all, we would try this place again.

Great little restaurant with a nice variety of food and beer. When we came, the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The pie is excellent here. Truckers: There’s a big lot here but there are many dropped trailers. There’s a Loves next door. Looks like 3 showers and one washer and one dryer (Go through the restaurant toward subway, then shoot left. It’s on the right.) At the time of this review, it costs $1.25 for laundry. Quarters only.

We were not prepared for how amazing this food was. We’re from the Deep South where biscuits and gravy are done well, but these just blew them out of the water. Everything else was top notch as well. We needed our meals to go all of the sudden and the waitress was very nice and accommodating. Wish we lived close by! We’d stop every morning if we could.

American Cafe with a hometown feel , the menu has lots of favorites and comfort foods. It looks like it's just a gas station from the road, the restaurant shares the same building. Don't let that stop you from stopping !

Food was really good, service was fantastic! I had a Reuben, my husband had a skillet full of stuff, not sure what it was called but he loved it. I didn't have a chance to try the pie though it looked delicious. You won't leave this place hungry. My only complaint: cheese curds were crazy salty, as were my fries.

This restaurant is in the gas station at Exit 45 in Menominee WI. It is a family restaurant with good home cooking. The Mexican omelet was served with toast and hashbrowns. Blueberry pancakes (2 filled the plate) had lots of blueberries and ordered a side of bacon which came crispy. Coffee was good, hot and refilled as needed. Cost was very reasonable and the server was very pleasant. They serve till midnight daily. Would recommend stopping if you're looking for a good meal in the area.

Love their pies. They make a fantastic cream cheese pie with a fruit topping. First time I had it with a sweetened cranberry. Awesome. Passing through I ordered cherry and blueberry. Just right. Strawberry rhubarb is great too. Try them all!!!

Originally we were parked across the street at the Love's to get our tire fixed and we found a parking spot for our truck overnight. After dropping off a load nearby, we came back to this Cenex spot to park (I believe the restaurant's called "Exit 45"). A little later my partner came back and told me about this wondrous meal he had at the diner here. I went in and let me tell you... had some of the best pancakes I've ever had! The type that just melt in your mouth!

I have been here three times. First time I had biscuits and gravy. The gravy was burned. Second time I had French toast. The griddle was too hot and the French toast was squishy in the middle. Third time I ordered the French dip sandwich. Another fail as the roast beef was fatty and full of gristle. I won't be back.

It had been years since I ate here. The server was fantastic, Chelsea thanks for the great service. Stopped for breakfast. Had the steak and eggs. Steak was cooked perfectly (hard to come by). Everything else was quite good. The pancakes are small compared to the last time I was here. The portions are much smaller than the last time I was here. That's the only reason for 4 stars.
