I been here 3 times. Two of the visits were great. Great hospitality. Great atmosphere. I m a little disappointed today: Got the breakfast burger without bacon they took the bacon from the sandwich and they left a few pieces. Potatoes were hard seems to sitting somewhere for an hour.

One positive: they do have plenty of seating and space! A lot of cafes are constantly crowded and finding a seat is an ordeal. The food is not bad (but not great, either). The service is what's lacking--it's basically the typical batch of 19-year-olds who are more concerned about socializing with each other than actually working.

Terra Cafe is one of the biggest things I miss about Morgantown. I only ever had breakfast there, but they had my favorite breakfast in town, and I loved their hot chocolate and desserts. Portions are great, and the quality is evident. Great staff and atmosphere, too, and the location is awesome because you can eat a nice meal and then go on a walk right after. Great place!

There was interesting food/atmosphere, but I wouldn't recommend this place if you're vegan and want something more than a salad. I asked if the cole slaw was vegan, was told yes, and then found tiny pieces of what appeared to be roast beef in the cole slaw. I also asked if the house made dressing on the veggy rubin sandwich was vegan, was told no, so I asked if I could put something else on it, and the guy at the register acted like I was a bother for asking and didn't respond to me, but a kinder woman behind him told me I could use the roasted garlic vinaigrette. So I said I would like that, and when I got my sandwich, it had the house made dressing that had mayonnaise in it. So yeah, cool place, delicious food, a few really kind employees, and one who gave off a really bad vibe with a seeming animosity towards vegans. He said that "no dressing" was on the ticket, but I'm more likely to believe that he didn't actually add that note and lied about the cole slaw or wasn't aware about the cole slaw and that the cooks did their job they way they were asked.

There food is really good and very unique sadly when I came here I was not having the best time with my crohns so I had there steamed fish that was unseasoned but I do have to say it was still one of the best pieces of fish I have had at a restaurant. It wasn't over done it was so flaky and delicious. I know some of the stuff the people in my party had looked very good and the staff here was very nice.

We came out for Oktoberfest and it was a complete delight. Tons of wonderful German food and the staff were super attentive to help with anything. Even better they had the WVU game on every tv. My fiancé got a coffee and it was delicious. I took a look at the regular menu and we will be back for sure. I think it’s also great they have a walk thru for everyone walking the trail. Makes it easy to get a drink and keep walking.

Stopped in on Saturday morning for breakfast after move-in day at WVU. I had eggs benedict and my wife had whole grain french toast. Both were excellent and came with a nice serving of fresh fruit. Above and beyond!!! We were passing through on a Sunday afternoon, and stopped for takeout sandwiches. Turns out, they only serve brunch on Sun. BUT the chef kindly made us the roast beef and Thai chicken, which were both delicious. They also provided a double-portion of their signature hummus for dip for the veggies we brought in the car. All were wonderful!!! Please note: the sandwiches are not really designed for eating while driving I-79. But the hummus is! It's nice and thick!

Some of the sandwiches are really good here, two favorites are the Terra Turkey and the Roast Beef Chimichurri. Surprisingly, this place also has possibly my favorite pepperoni roll. The bread and the herbs on top just make it so worth it, although too many pepperonis inside make it too spicy/greasy for my acid reflux, so I always take one or two out (found that 5 is a good pepperoni to bread ratio hahaha). Also, although they have Chai Lattes there, one of the women who works there actually made her own chai latte for me when they ran out of their nornal Chai. I think she mentioned learning from her family. Both are good, but her home made one was clearly better than the normal one, which I believe is just something like Oregon Chai from a box. Managers, see if shed be willing to teach, because I miss a more authentic Masala Chai.

Cool environment with delicious late and good looking chocolate cup cakes. Staff were friendly and efficient. Beautiful people around, really a nice stop in Star City, located by the river. Didn't like the grilled cheese at all, the simplest order one can go for. I would have used less bread and real good cheese! So as a food critic and lover, it was disappointing. This is a nice place for casual eating. They have outside space for the customers. Parking space is adequate, considering Morgantown's notorious parking situation. Foods are ok, no complain. They also have a desert section. Courteous employees, most of whom seem to be high school or undergrad students. A good place to hang out with friends and families.

I went in on a quiet evening at 6pm on September the 9th. I watched the barista burn the shots of espresso and let them sit on the counter letting them turn bitter. It tasted awful. I've been here once before and the espresso was great. Maybe train the baristas consistently.

I liked the veggie reuben and my wife enjoyed her veggie burger. We both shared a cupcake for dessert. A negative worth addressing is their use of an 18% default tip when using a credit card. I like to use the tip jar, but I tip for their particular service, which is taking your order and delivering it to you. Everything else, including busing your own table, is up to you. So, when you pay, look carefully at the tip if you are using a credit card.

THIS PLACE IS DELICIOUS and I can’t wait to go back! Granted I have only been here once since moving to Morgantown, the turkey sandwich was divine, and their dessert display was way too tempting! Major plus in my book: they also sell dog treats and their patio is dog friendly! It’s a popular place so don’t be surprised if it’s busy, but it’s definitely going to be a go-to place for me.

So glad we found this place! We stopped by for the first time for the Sunday brunch. Happily, I was able to put together a plate from the sides menu that ended up being a wonderful breakfast that met all my burdensome dietary restrictions. My husband had the breakfast burger with potatoes and he said it was really good. My plate of sides: the house-made chicken sausage was really tasty (and spicy, which I loved), the potatoes were perfect, the sautéed veggies were nice and fresh, and the eggs were cooked just as I like them and were clearly quality eggs. The coffee was great, too. No need to add anything to it — a nice roast, unembellished. I also had a great chat with some of the staff about their beautiful baked goods, and was able to take home three treats I can eat. I was over the moon! When we visit WV again, we will eat here — and recommend it to our friends as well. Thanks!

Not so happy the last 2x there. Terra cafe use to be a favorite of mine when working in Morgantown. They have healthy options,vegan,and gluten free. Aug 20th I got a Terra turkey and the Turkey was awful. I wasted my $ the habanero coleslaw had moldy looking cabbage. So very dissatisfied and saddened by the sudden change in quality. I am a medical rep and I used to buy food for offices from Terra and I will no longer frequent this establishment.

When I come home to WV I’m always looking for a healthy option for dinner that isn’t one of the million chain restaurants in the area. Stumbled upon this hidden gem while running the rail trail. Odered the turkey sandwich and honey apple pulled pork. Highly recommend both! They also make a delicious Cortado & staff is super friendly/helpful. The baked goods section is out of this world (I was too full to order dessert) & they have numerous local products available for purchase. Can’t wait to go back next time I’m in town.
