Decided at the last minute on a Friday to order a cake for my grandmas 70th birthday. Needed it in like 4 hours. It was ready when I got there and it was the best chocolate cake I ever had in my life, and I don’t even like chocolate cake. Gus’s Goodies has made my own bday cakes as well as my sons bday cakes since he was born. I can’t wait to have them make my wedding cake next September. Wouldn’t get one anywhere else, it’s just not worth missing out on that frosting lol.

Ordered a cake for my wedding. What they promised and what showed up were totally different. High price for one layer cake. Promised three layers. Suppose to be chocolate but was vanilla. Don't get scammed

The Cakes and donuts I have tried are very yummy 5 start for that but i tried a mixed variety of cookies and they was Dry and tast funky.Not good quality cookies...

I have been buying birthday cakes at Guss Goodies for over 30 years. My whole family is excited every year when they get their cake. This includes my wife,2 children and 5 grandchildren. We are a Mingo Junction Ohio resident. Many Thanks to Guss and all his employees.

Ordered a cake for my daughters first birthday and when I got home the icing was all melted off of it. When I called to tell them what happened they told me that once the cake left the store it wasnt their problem with what happened to it

Ordered a cake for a surprise party and the icing was horrible. Took the cake back and they pretty much said there was nothing they could do about it.. I will never do business with them again.

What kind of bakery doesn't sell BREAD??? I asked for Italian bread and they just laughed and said they don't sell bread???? If you are a "bakery" shouldn't you sell some bread??? Really Really expensive!!! Totally not worth the price for their cookies!!! Cookies were dry too.

Terrible!! Store has gone downhill with poor quality and crappy customer service. I only rate with one star as I need to in order to post a review. Otherwise it totally sucked!! I would post a negative number if it were possible. I arrived at the store to get some cut sugar cookies for the Holiday. They were out of sugar cookies at 9AM !! How is that possible?? (Ummm... maybe we need to plan ahead for some increased sales.) I was waited on by a very rude "20-something" who acted like my order was disrupting her cell phone time. I was able to select a few of the items I needed. VERY OVERPRICED mediocre (at best) pastries. Very disappointed overall. My cookies were dry and stale, and clearly not made same day. Some were under cooked. Obviously thrown together with no concern for quality. Shame on you Gus's Goodies !! I will look elsewhere for my bakery needs in the future!! PS - I'll be checking back to see how soon my review gets deleted, since you won't allow any negative reviews on here

Must have been here a LONG time. Bc it is SUBSTANDARD at best. Crowded & chaotic, no structure in order, people who were just walking in were helped before the 2 families there b4 me. We travel ALL over the country, so trust me when I say keep going.... Your not missing anything at this place.

Best homemade donuts around! Take them over dunkin any old day. Had a free sample of a sort of lemon cake which was incredible moist and soft like you'd never find elsewhere in a cake. Pricey, but definitely worth it.

We got four donuts. The glazed raised were basic grocery store or Dunkin Donuts quality donuts. The white frosting filled donut was mediocre and had too much dough. We also got a cake doughnut with chocolate on it which was absolutely disgusting. That is the worst cake donut I have had ever. My boyfriend picked it out for himself and wouldn't touch it again after one bite so I tried it and he was right. Terrible. It tasted like nutmeg, too. Why would you do that to a donut? But that isn't what made it so bad. It would have been just as bad without the nutmeg. They need to change their cake doughnut recipe. I looked at the cookies in their case and they all looked bad and cheap quality so I didn't buy any. After trying their donuts, I think that was a good decision. The universe compensated us because the next day we drove through Washington, PA and caught the Krispy Kreme while their hot donuts light was on.

Gus’s goodies have the best cakes!! My cousin would always buy them for Birthday’s and last week she bought my Aunt the frosted angelfood cake and it was amazing!!! For Christmas she bought the angelfood cake with chocolate and one with strawberry filling and they were both delicious!!! I’m glad I don’t know where you are located because I would be there everyday!!! I love your products!! ❤️❤️❤️

I have been going to Gus's since I was a little girl. I was so happy when he brought back the doughnuts! My family purchases all of our cakes for celebrations from Gus. The staff is fantastic and always friendly.

The angel food cake with nuts is my most favorite cake of all time! The donuts and cookies are amazing as well. Also, just a heads up, don't go on mondays if you are going for a specific item. They do not bake that day and there is not much in the way of choices. The plus side is, whatever is leftover from the week is 1/2 off! :)

This is the only Bakery my family will order Birthday Cakes from. Their Donuts are also the best. Have no idea what some of these reviewers are talking about. In fact, I was so curious, I looked at one reviewers "reviews" of other places, and that person only gave a review when she/he wasn't satisfied with her product/service. So do not go by her review of Gus'. I'm telling you , if i even bring home another Birthday cake for my wife, it would ruin her day. Case in point: Her Birthday is today, I called Gus's forgetting that its Monday and they do not bake today. Guess what? We are waiting till tomorrow to celebrate it. This place is that good.
