Perfect cozy little coffee shop in historic Harper's Ferry. The iced black tea was very tasty, breakfast sandwiches were great. I would recommend their bacon sandwiches. They use the real thick cut bacon. They also sell a bunch of local candles and crafts. A must go to for your early morning coffee.

Shamelessly overpriced tourist trap. Selling lemonade for $9 you can make better for $1 at home. Avoid.

It's a nice place to stop by for a snack or a light breakfast, or a sandwich. Like most of HF, it's relaxed and folksie.

Jeongah Lee

I ordered hot cafe latte. It tasted really bad. I just felt that i had hot milk. If you love latte , go to another shop.

Wonderful place to pick up coffee! I had picked up a quick coffee and scone before our big trip around Harper's Ferry. Wanted to go again to try a meal but the store was closed early. Will probably go again when we're back.

This is a great shop with wonderful coffee, yummy trail mix (lots of food but this is my thing), unique and fun stuff to look at and buy and an impressive mix of locals and visitors.

We were headed out of town on Amtrak and wanted sandwiches for the ride. We pre ordered and picked them up on the way down to the station. Had the Confluence roast beef sandwich and it was quite tasty later in the evening.

Perfect Cappuccino!

Haven't tried their bakery products and ice-cream, but coffee is a huge disappointment... Most expensive and worst Machiatto, I ever had, at the same time :( $6+ for double machiatto??? , made with a home machine, runny, long and foam like warmed milk :( Call yourself bakery, drop coffee from the name!

Felicia kidrick

Best iced coffee and original homemade sandwiches ever, bread is fresh and staff very friendly!!!!

Trail Trade

The BEST breakfast sandwiches! Great service with a smile. Awesome patio area with a view. Decaf Soy Latte was spot on. If in Harpers Ferry, Battle Grounds Bakery is a must!

Best muffins in town! Get the French toast muffin. Also a beautiful deck for outside seating.

Cute place to visit from out of town, great pastries baked fresh, wonderful espresso and sandwiches. They also have a side of the shop with some local crafts. The only drawback was the lack of seating space inside as it would get cramped (especially as moms tended to bring in a pack of small kids who'd take up all the seating), though we learned from the owner that WV code won't allow for more than a few seats with just one bathroom.

Went on a Sunday during a holiday weekend, so perhaps it was busier than usual, but the place was packed at about 2pm. I wonder what it's like at noon! My son and I ordered two sandwiches, which were delicious. It took about 10 min for them to come out to us, but that was to be expected. After eating I went back up and ordered a small drip coffee, which to my amazement, was actually really good. They serve coffee roasted locally, so I was expecting that part would be fine, but normally drip coffee isn't good that far into the afternoon. They clearly cared enough to brew another carafe at some point after lunch. The reason I'm docking them one star is due to the arrangement of their ordering line as well as the placement of their menu. The have only one posted menu before you arrive at the counter and it's really small (and awkwardly placed where people are sitting). They have a large chalk board but it seems to only have coffee choices on it. Perhaps in the morning that's less of a problem because people aren't ordering sandwiches or items to eat as much as coffee? Anyway, it added to the confusion of the ordering line as people had to take a minute to figure out what they wanted, further slowing things down on a busy afternoon. The placement of the ordering line was also an issue. People weren't sure whether the line wrapped around towards the bathroom in the back, or just pointed outward toward the door. At one point two lines started to form which frustrated some patrons. All in all, though, I do highly recommend this place. The food was delicious and the coffee was excellent. The minor inconveniences do not really take much away from the experience. Nice place to relax and have a bite to eat. Oh, and also free wifi.

Can't recommend this cafe enough! Delicious food, helpful staff, and gorgeous views. You have to try the grilled cheese (with ham) or the chickpea salad! You will not regret it! A must for anyone visiting the area to take in the beautiful sights and sounds of Harper's Ferry.

Delicious food and coffee and friendly staff! The cinnamon buns and fresh-baked bread are amazing! Great place to stop in for breakfast or lunch after a day of hiking and exploring Harpers Ferry.

I'll start by saying the coffee was excellent, I got an iced coffee and my wife got a chai tea- both were delicious. The store is also well decorated with lots of little items for sale and is conveniently just up the road from the National Park. Unfortunately, the girl taking our order was downright rude, especially to my wife. I'm not sure if she was having a bad day, but she couldn't have looked more annoyed to take our order or to give my wife napkins (as all of the dispensers were empty). This unfortunately ruined an otherwise five-star experience. Go ahead and give this place a shot, hopefully you'll get better customer service than we received, and you're bound to enjoy the coffee.

John Dell

Great food and friendly staff. specialty coffee drinks were not the best.

Maheswaran Vijayakumar

Chai latte was good!

Richard Weiss

Great coffee and sandwiches, and ice cream too. Nice little shop. Park in lower lot by train station and take steps up right across from the cross walk and you come right out at their door.

Their sandwich is really good. Try the croissant, you won’t regret.

The coffee was some of the best I have tasted for awhile. The breakfast sandwich was great! The young lady serving us was very rude. When I told her how much I enjoyed our coffee and sandwich she just grunted. When serving us she all but dropped the sandwich on the counter. She was too busy on the phone at opening time to greet us. Too bad. Only place open this early for coffee around here so lots of potential being lost. Still great coffee!

ChihMing Huang

Wonderful day and the line was long. Eventually got my latte and it tasted like water.

Yang Wang

Terrible sandwich

Taim Shaikh

Good espresso drinks and huge cinnamon rolls.

Jessica Dorsey

Rain or shine they have the absolute best deserts I've ever had and the sandwiches are huge and tasty. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting and the coffee is delicious.

Tanner Scott

Walked into this shop in the early hours of the day, and the smell if fresh bacon greeted me at the door. After hiking all morning and getting wore out, a hot bacon egg & cheese sandwich sure hit the spot! The food was great, my tea was delicious, and I enjoyed looking around at their small decor section. Overall, this was definitely a coffee shop / bakery I would like to return to.

Ross Johnston

Great BLT & lemonade!

Melinda Donnelly

While waiting for the restaurant next-door to open, my husband and I went into this thinking it was a little shop. To our surprise it had a menu. Everything was so fresh. Chef salad was excellent and my husband could not stop raving about his sandwich (the Mountain Top). That being said, let’s talk about the lemonade. I’ve never tasted such a heavenly drink. It wasn’t too sweet, was mixed perfectly, cold and refreshing! So glad we stumbled into Battle Grounds!

Doug Craze

Friendly service, great coffee, outstanding pastries. Can't wait to try the generous sized sandwiches!

Mike DeLong

Fresh croissants recommending; this was our go-to breakfast during our recent stay in Harper's Ferry.
