Went on a Sunday during a holiday weekend, so perhaps it was busier than usual, but the place was packed at about 2pm. I wonder what it's like at noon! My son and I ordered two sandwiches, which were delicious. It took about 10 min for them to come out to us, but that was to be expected. After eating I went back up and ordered a small drip coffee, which to my amazement, was actually really good. They serve coffee roasted locally, so I was expecting that part would be fine, but normally drip coffee isn't good that far into the afternoon. They clearly cared enough to brew another carafe at some point after lunch.
The reason I'm docking them one star is due to the arrangement of their ordering line as well as the placement of their menu. The have only one posted menu before you arrive at the counter and it's really small (and awkwardly placed where people are sitting). They have a large chalk board but it seems to only have coffee choices on it. Perhaps in the morning that's less of a problem because people aren't ordering sandwiches or items to eat as much as coffee? Anyway, it added to the confusion of the ordering line as people had to take a minute to figure out what they wanted, further slowing things down on a busy afternoon. The placement of the ordering line was also an issue. People weren't sure whether the line wrapped around towards the bathroom in the back, or just pointed outward toward the door. At one point two lines started to form which frustrated some patrons.
All in all, though, I do highly recommend this place. The food was delicious and the coffee was excellent. The minor inconveniences do not really take much away from the experience. Nice place to relax and have a bite to eat. Oh, and also free wifi.
