Super cute local care with excellent pastries. A good place to meet a friend.

I would highly recommend this place. We lived in Europe for several years and this is one of the best in Seattle. Good coffee as well! Looks small but ample seating.

Excellent coffee, fantastic pastries. Busy, popular neighborhood bakery. Parking can be a problem, but it's worth it!

After my latest visit to S. Korea, I was craving "Paris Croissant"' style fresh baked croissant . So I googled, and found Coyle. Big mistakes!!!! I was greeted, ...wait, no greet, by non smiling, non welcoming staff whose attitude was like "what are you doing here?" I felt more chills inside than outside temperature. Their o.k. coffee & pastries didn't matter any more.

Chopped Coley

Fresh and friendly

Palvali Teja

Very good desserts. Cheese roll and pizza are also really yummy.

D Reardon

Absolutely delicious, but pretty costly. Over $11 for two items.

jeremy davison

Cretzel, get one, enough said. Quiche is pretty amazing too. And get there early, they do sell out because it's so good.

Laura Gifford

Delish crossiants and I had their seasonal Italian soda (black currant) with house made whip cream and it was perfection in a cup. The staff is very friendly and kind as well. Would highly recommend!

Elizabeth McMahon

Mason Lim

Yummy fresh coffee and pastries.

Charming bakery with great flaky croissants and sandwiches made with wedges of a fabulously chewy, crusty foccacia. Great cappuccino. Like a quick visit to a European Cafe.

James Hertan

Great coffee, great pastries. Stop in if you get a chance.

Dangerously close walk from my house, so I am frequent patron. My faves are currant scones, filled focaccia, and winter soups; great lattes.

Rob

Great coffee and great pastries. Definitely a step above the average shop in Seattle.

Daniela Dimitrova

The passion fruit curd is amazing!

Kelsey Malone

Good selection of really fresh pastries & good coffee. Last time I came here for a coffee date with a friend there were two employees pounding butter with huge rolling pins almost the entire time...quite distracting & loud but I guess that's all part of the process...

Adrian Maziak

Hit and miss on staff friendliness

Roja Kwon

Great selections of pastries, sweets, and sandwiches!!

Tom Spellman

Everything was good. Good coffee and lemonade. Had a savory scone and a croissant with a bowl of tomato soup. Soup was a little spicy; a shot of half and half solved that along with a dash of salt. Spendy for us. First visit.

Robert Mumme

All I can say is that I'm glad I don't live anywhere near here because the food is so good, I'd have to eat here breakfast lunch and dinner 24x7. I had the quiche which was the best I've had anywhere. So for sure, I'll be making pilgrimages here as often as possible. It's just amazing how kind and friendly the staff are even though they are very busy. This is an incredibly delectable place you must visit.

Jasmin McNear

Decided to go on a local bakery tour with my sister and Coyle's was first on the list. It was a great way to kick off our quest for good Seattle bakeries. Everything was delicious and the environment was welcoming. I recommend the carrot cake and if you don't like carrots, try it anyway! We'll definitely go back for more!

Nikki Gibson

Delicious pastries and tea.

Matthew Seppi

I don't understand how food can be this good.

Denise M

I had the ham and gruyere sandwich which was good I was hoping there would be more dessert choices. I think maybe I came a little too late in the day.

Hans Hurn

Everything I try here is pure magic.

Philip Leder

Great coffee for Saturday morning.

Frankie Phan

great quality pastries wonderful seasonal options

Alison Roberts

This is our favorite cafe! I find that somethig about the place also attracts very friendly customers. Lots of nice couples and families every time we go. They make their own syrups, jams, juice, use high quality milk--and serve Kusmi teas. One of the only places in town I can find it. They also make their own marshmallows to sell packaged "to go"-- they are large and make perfect roasters so we swing by before every camping trip.

Lauren Terzenbach

This coffee house/bakery has delicious baked goods and a nice selection of teas as well as coffee choices. Highly recommend, although on the slightly pricey side.

Chris Cantrell

Somewhat more expensive but higher quality

Chris Bauman

Great baked goods; poor espresso drink.

Katrina Lehto

The baked goods here are phenomenal. I love the cretzles.

sandra hinojosa

The best carrot cake I have ever had is served here! Seriously! Holy grail carrot cake!

Martin Dickey

Popular neighborhood spot with some of the yummiest pastries around, baked on-site. Try a mini kouign amann - hard to find elsewhere in Seattle.

Alicia Herman

Delicious seasonal desserts and pastries

Mikaela W-P

Greenwood needed a proper bakery/patisserie, and this is it! It's a bit spendy, but you get what you pay for. Try their homemade chai and cold brew coffee too!

Noel Shepard

Good food but really slow on making drinks!

Andrew Dixon

Great pasteries and I'm also told the coffee is good. Fun atmosphere.

Greg Drohan

Good coffee. best quiche ive had aside from le pichet.

Nicole McVarish

Mmmmm.... Great coffee, baked goods and atmosphere!! I enjoyed watching the bakery in action.

Nathan Kessler-Jeffrey

Wonderful pastries and great service in a charming neighborhood bakery.

Tiffany Pitts

Merengues the size of your head.

Bradley Dobbs

Excellent pastries and tea/coffee. A great place for a Saturday AM quiche run with a cold brew.

Joel Walters

Best croissants. Try them, you won't be sorry!

Erik Thauvin

Overpriced and a bit overrated. Good coffee, small pricey pasties that look good but mostly fall flat taste-wise.

Jo Ann Adiele

My daughter and grandaughter went for lunch today. Service was fun and attentive and friendly. We ordered sandwiches and soup. The soup was hot just like I love! Flavorful and naturally fresh for tomatoe soup! The sandwich was fresh and light and very savory sweet tied up in white paper and red and white string, French style. Quite enjoyable! After we bought a nice selection of baked goods and a whole apple galette to bring home to my Adult Family Home afternoon tea. What a success! Not overly sweet, light and buttery, I just can’t say enough about it! If you ever walk on Greenwood Ave don’t forget to stop in for a light meal, or coffee and a treat! You will not regret it! My old neighborhood of Greenwood has changed a lot since the 60s and 70s but this establishment feels like it’s been there since the beginning.

Dan Cumberland

Great baked goods in a fun and hip space. The coffee is alright, but the croissants are amazing

Peter Nave

Good coffee. Food was ok. Nice that you can sit outside

Dawoomi Hong

오랜만에 만난 제대로된 카푸치노. 그리고 맛있는 디저트들.

Alexandria Skrivanich

Perfect stop for coffee or tea and a small dessert. Usually filled with locals. You'll find they also serve a couple of light sandwiches that are really well made and excellent strawberry lemonade. I like sitting outside one of at the small bistro tables with my dog on a sunny day.

daniel jordan

Wow! I went here based on the high star rating and it did not disappoint. Maybe the best baked goods in Seattle, best I've had. Coffee was also very good.

Margarita Wilde

My all time favorite bakery in Seattle. Everything they make is delicious. The staff is super nice. The coffee is perfect. I attended one of their afternoon tea events and it was definitely worth the price. They do not have WiFi which I appreciate. A great place to come with a book or a friend.

Dale Matheson

Outstanding bakery! Probably the best scone I've ever eaten. The Cretzel is also a very good option.

Timi Fair

Yum! Bostock!

Lina Moreno

This place knows how to bake and people are all so nice.

Marissa Marcelo

LOVE everything these guys make - try them for baked goods and even lunch YUM!

Matthew Gilkey

The Seattle area has a large number of fantastic pastry shops, most of which offer a pretty good pain au chocolat. Coyle's has the best in town. They have a great flaky exterior with delicious chocolate inside.

Jennifer Hanzsek

Jessica Hubacher

I didn't get to eat my pastry from here so I need to go back. Coffee was okay, not very hot but I live in the neighborhood and people rave about it so I'll be stopping by again soon.

RM

Incredible and unique bake goods and delicious coffee. Friendly staff and a welcoming atmosphere. My new favorite coffee shop!

Sharon Delaney

The best croissants and pastries. Wonderful cappuccino!

Adam Clements

Took a bus from downtown Seattle because we heard it was good. Not disappointed.

Jordan Spore

Good pastry options and coffee.

Benjamin Carter

Fantastic coffee and lovely baked goods. The cakes are amazing. And they have the best Italian soda in town. Updated: I really love this place, I've lived in the greenwood area for 3 years now, and the baked goods they serve are fantastic, the seasonal fruit danish is a must have.

Sunnie Larsen

The pastries here are second to none. I recommend the ham and gruyere croissant, the cannele, the Millionaires Shortbread, and the espresso nib brownie particularly, but I've never had a bad thing here.

Julie Ann Igayac

Delicious sandwiches!!!!!

John Thuma

Excellent bakery and very good coffee.

Ivo Andov

Showed up on a Sunday afternoon. Pastries were dry and very average, waitresses were very pretentious, and they have NO WIFI. Oh, and it closes at 4pm on a Sunday... If I could give it 0 stars I would. Never again.

Dan Brackett

Very good pastries could see the kitchen staff doing work and it's really cool to watch somebody beat pastry dough with rolling pin.

Michael van Eckhardt

Get there early on Saturdays to enjoy a cretzel - a cross between a croissant and a pretzel. Worth a stop if you're anywhere near the neighborhood

Frances McDonald

Great little bakery in the neighborhood. The cream puffs, filled to order, were life changing.

Maya Li

The plain croissant was crunchy but not delicate on the outside, bready and chewy on the inside.

Peter Caka

Worth finding! Best chocolate cake not baked at home.

Greg Socha

Cute spot with amazing pastries

Eric P

Stopped by on way to Vancouver. Their sandwiches already wrapped to go were absolutely the most delicious I have had in years. The Ham and Gruyere was fabulous and very flavorful, wrapped in a Foccacia I believe. A scrumptious delight driving down the highway. Their delicious sweet treats were delightful and evaporated quickly from their brown paper bags. Mmmm. Great experience. Don't pass this one up.

Kjell Breiland

If you wanna gain some weight and not care come here, it's amazing

Valerie Burlingame

The best French Bakery in Seattle.

Robert Hart

Best cup of tea in Seattle. The carrot cake was so sweet and moist! Yummy!

ALBAN MORA

bake goods are fantastic

Gregor Matheson

Best pastries I've ever had!

Jasmine C

This place makes delicious bake goods. I lived near by and the other day I locked myself out without my phone or wallet. The friendly staff let me borrow their phone and also let me look up a lock smith. Very much appreciated and so happy to have this delicious place around the neighborhood.

Tenni Wigle

This bakery is one of the best in the city! The currant cream scones are clearly made with fine, fresh cream and full of delicious currants. The cookies, cakes, croissants, and lunch offerings are also excellent. Tastiest of goods, friendly and talented staff, and seasonal offerings. The afternoon tea events are spectacular as well.

Lauren Stensland

Best pastries ever!

Dan Allison

Great little bakery that's making Fremont great again!

Efgan Fahrali

Fine place having the best choices of tea with fine bakeries.

Samuel Haffey

Great bakery and coffee shop. A few seats have power too

Shannon Luchessa

Lovely cozy atmosphere and unique delicious baked goods!

Melissa Lim

Fantastic baked goods, sandwiches and coffee at this Phinney Ridge corner shop. Cute spot!

Matthew Rudge

Great coffee and crisp, buttery croissants. Make sure to try a Cretzel!

Sheena P

Love this bake shop, I come here to spoil myself with a delicious baked good. They dont always have the same things so it is fun to stop in and see whats new!

CRISTINA MARTIN

They have the best pain au chocolate in the city

Judi Warma

Came here for lunch after church last Sunday :) I absolutely loved the environment of this place. It's spacious and decorated quite nicely. I ordered the egg and herb sandwich. And although it was delicious, I did wish they had heated it up or toasted it somehow. But maybe that's just the style of the sandwich. For $8 it was a bit more on the expensive side but it's a small shop so I understand that. It's a good spot to do work in since it's relatively quiet with people reading or working on their laptops. It's also a good place to just catch up with friends :)

Justin Dempsey-Chiam

So expensive, but so good.

Jessica A. Jones

Simply amazing baked goods and delicious coffee with wonderful service to boot. Had a sandwich for the first time today and they are not phoning it in. Yum!

Jessica Lah

Fantastic local bakeshop. A great spot to enjoy a croissant or pick up a baguet. The baked goods are phenomenal, the drip coffee was ok and the cafe seating ambiance is charming. This is a good place to bring family or friends for a quick breakfast. Not a very good place to find peace and quiet to get work done. There is no wifi and the space echoes a bit. A restroom is available in the back that clean and well kept. Your best bet for parking will likely be on the street.

Erin Moehring

Yum!!! The seasonal fruit tarts and croissants are to die for.

Laura Oliver

Awesome Seasonal Fruit Croissant!

Joshua Keys

Best croissants this side of the Atlantic.

Richard Silverstein

Excellent baked goods, beautifully presented in friendly atmosphere

dave crothall

Canele and fruit Danish are the bomb.

Sarah Dillon

Jamie Morse

Great pastries and coffee, this place is my go to in Seattle every time i am around!

Elizabeth Clark

I was in a months-long food funk when I stumbled into Coyle's Bakeshop to grab breakfast-to-go on my way to work one day. For some reason, I decided to get the currant cream scone. I don't often get scones because they can be so blah and dry. Currants don't excite me in general. But I took one bite, and it was shocking how delicious this was. The texture inside was creamy with a firm outside. It literally felt like it was melting in my mouth. I find the same thing with their croissants--the texture is exceptional. The outside is so flaky and the inside is so tender. I assume I can thank butter for this, but I like to think that something in their process is also exceptional. The atmosphere is also nice--light and airy.

Chris Lewis

Great neighborhood bakery! No wifi

Stephen Peake

Lovely place. I had the pumpkin curry soup, savory scone with bacon and their black drip coffee. The soups was very flavorful and pretty. The coffee was better than normal. I’m not a coffee expert, but I enjoyed this coffee more than others. The savory scone was dense and satisfying, great flavor. The staff was also very upbeat and nice. A great spot to sit and take a breath.

Maile Bohlmann

Amazing pastries and unique salads and sandwiches. Sunny corner in Greenwood with friendly staff. A favorite hangout!

Jennifer Thurmond

I always love coming here for a quick break. The baking is consistent and wonderful. The ham and gurre croissant is a perfect morning pick me up. They have some amazing customer service too, the staff as always been friendly and kind. I always walk out with a my day a little brighter.

Carter Belleau

Friendly staff, delicious creations, consistent quality, lovely feel to Coyle's.

Jenny Chiang

Love their cretzels <3

Lucas Duffey

Pastries are really good. One of the best places in Seattle. The Canelle pastry had a crunchy carmalized crust with a vanilla custard interior similar to a soft and creamy bread pudding. Delicious. The seasonal rhubarb croissant was an interesting combination of sweet and sour, also a great choice. Coffee is good, but they don't have any interesting and novel options. Lunch options look pretty good too.

Susan Hausmann

Chocolate croissant warm from the oven. Perfect combination of flaky crispy layers and deep luscious chocolate. Need a bike rack next to shop. Bikers lean bikes on glass front.

Man on the Map

Good. Tasty.

Erika K

Supurb bakery and light lunches. Great tea and coffee also. No Wifi, lots of conversations. Baked on site, local ingredients, seasonal.

Claudia Miro

True artisan bakery!! Every time I walk in I feel inspired by what they create, and blown away by the quality and deliciousness of their goods. My only complaint is that they run out of things too early! :) Their quiche is to die for...

Michael U

Went here yesterday, for the first time. A charming local bakery that seemed to have an avid following. I was there before just before 11:00 am and the place was pretty full, not crowded yet, but as I sat and ate my delicious roasted fennel, red pepper and feta quiche (very delicious), the influx of patrons continued. The latte was tasty, the foam very rich, but perhaps a little cooler than I would have liked. I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in the neighborhood near the beginning of my day. In fact I will say that I will be back if there toward to end of my day as well, to pick up one of the delicious looking sweets that were on display.

Joshua Brown

Like going to a Parisian cafe, but with better coffee. The ham and gruyere croissant and pain au chocolat are two favorite.

Kate R.

Jesse McCoy

Amazing

Maurice Brown

Wyatt Lewin

Amazing pretzel croissants

Matt Emmons

Extraordinary cakes, cookies, scones and light lunch items (get the ham sandwich). No, there is no wifi. Yes, the selection appears scant. To me, this is "Tartine North".

2nd Foundation

Everything is amazing. From day one they open to waiting people. And it is worth it. Treat the office to some pastries!

Joshua Shrode

Beautiful creations that are constantly parading through the display case. Delicious subtle little pieces of art. Great local coffee roasters too!

Lissette Paz

Delicious and savory pastries, never liked scones until I came here.

Craig Citro

my favorite bakery by far; everything is amazing, but don't miss the cretzels.

Jeremy Chess

Smoking awesome doughnuts

Keith McAfee

I don't know how someone made a scone this good, but they did it. Top ten scones of all time. There are zero other scones in the top ten.

Todd Sigley

Fantastic bakery and cafe. Baked goods and coffee drinks are delicious, the space is cozy and modern, and the staff are very friendly. The croissants (and cretzels - a pretzel shaped croissant) are their specialty. Quiche and sandwiches are excellent too. They also offer many other sweet and savory baked goods, salads, and homemade jams and granola. All delicious!

Aastha Dora

This cute little café/bakery has me coming back for more every single time. Their cretzel IS A MUST and the cardamom cookie. Although, they change their menu frequently since everything they bake is super fresh I’d try and catch that whenever possible!! The creativity in flavor combinations and baked goods is unbeatable here. 11/10 would recommend :)

Mo O

Just a warning before you buy a whole rxpensive $63 cake. Ask for serving instructions and thaw timing. Otherwise your party will have to wait 2 hours for a cake, and may not enjoy it before they have to leave. Cold and dry cake is not good if still cold. Definitely disappointed, esp since I have to drive 1 hour round trip to pick it up.

Jimmy Eng

Really nice people, good baked goods and coffee.

L.Bernard Cancino

Good good but early morning pounding dough noise makes it very uncomfortable - pricy

Leif Norcott

Amazing, great coffee and the best bakery stuff in town. Watch out for tea time which is a 20 minute close window at 4pm to 4:20pm.
