Amazing food and drinks. Quaint place. Original small town feeling. I recommend anyone who comes across it to check it out.
Great store with a little bit of everything! Wonderful selection of natural/organic products. Customer service is amazing! So beautifully organized! We are glad we decided to stop by on our way through town. Check the upstairs area!!!! Only feedback is that the recycling bin is far from where people dispose things and it should be painted in blue so people clearly effortlessly know what it is for.
Glased yeast doughnuts... (mic drop)
On our way through and came across this gem. Had a great sandwich and enjoyed the place. There are whole pies for sale too. I did not see any slices available as I only wanted one slice. I wish that was an option. Good place to go to.
This is one of my favorite bakeries and I like to bake. I recently had the focaccia and it was delicious
Very small friendly and comfortable place. Good bread and good sandwiches.
The bakery goods and the grab and go sandwiches are excellent. Highly recommend the cranberry and white chocolate bars, and the foccacia bread are delicious!
Delicious baked goods
Best ever, laurie the owner is super friendly and her food is awesome!!!!
Friendly service and brilliant coffee, even showing up right before closing.
Nice but not what I expected. Mostly whole pies and cakes. Not many individual snacks to go with the great coffee. It was too late for lunch and too early for dinner.
Absolutely wonderful and cute bakery. Definitely try the chocolate brownie. It's delicious especially if had with coffee. The service is great. Very courteous servers!
Cinnamon roll is to die for. Coffee is smooth. Great place!
Cakes and cookies that are delicious My grandson loves the red truck cookies I do too
Great eats, beautiful location and friendly staff
Nationally recognized bakery.
Wonderful place...a bakery that puts a touch of love in everything they bake. Yummy
I saw the bakery sign while I was on the freeway. It's a little bit of detour when you come off the main road but it's well worth the trip. I had some tea, a scone, and also purchased a loaf of the bread for the house. The staff were great to deal with and the food and drinks were excellent.
Excellent baked goods!
Bought some delicious whole wheat with sunflower seed bread for friends. They loved it They sliced the bread for me. Their coffee is good.
I live in Fredericksburg so when I come here I spend a lot so that I can take it home and freeze it. The lemon cake is the most delicious thing in the entire world. And it freezes so well. My husband loves the cranberry muffins and my daughter loves the brownies. The people here are really sweet also.
Staff is super nice! You can call ahead in the morning and ask them to hold cakes or sandwiches for you. Great seating area and bathrooms are available. They serve coffee (stumptown) and sell other products and foods in the shop. Parking is available right behind the shop.
Best place for a nice coffee and a great muffin
Cozy, comfortable place to hang out...along with Great food!
Best bakery ever! The woman who waited on us had the best attitude, so pleasant and friendly! The food was outstanding! I will defintely be ordering from them online down the road. In store eating was a really neat experience.
Love this place. Great coffee cake and lemon cake
The pastries are amazing! Definitely worth a stop if you’re in town!
Bought an awesome Orange Cake from here, very clean and chic atmosphere, would recommend checking out.
Corinne was absolutely the most delightful individual we have met on our vacation! Her customer service was outstanding!!! Anyone would be lucky to have her as an employee! And the lemon cake would be worth a six hour drive to get!!!!
Always fabulous food. Luxurious portions and great combinations of flavors, like the different mustards on the meatloaf sandwich and the ham and cheese sandwich. Great breakfast scones and muffins!
Excellent croissant with ham and cheese, the granola was the best I've ever had. The blueberry donut had real blueberries! Very welcoming, we were lucky to stumble upon this bakery while driving through!
Love this bakery! Been to the location in Warrenton VA 3 times. This was the first time at this location and it did not disappoint. We ordered the coffee, soup of the day, chocolate croissant, eclair, cupcake, flatbread pizza, and Lemon Chess Pie. Cute intuitive design. Sweet service. If your ever close by you must stop in!
Creative products worth the price but a small selection.
Great service, great food. I just wish they served up slices of the pies and cakes they sell whole!
Always too many good things to choose from!
EVERYTHING is delicious.
Haven't had their sandwiches but all of the bakery goods are to die for and staff is always welcoming and helpful.
Pretty good. Kind of expensive for what it is.
Love this company. This location is aesthetically nicer. They don't serve the same things. No Mini cakes here. They did take the nicer staff too it seems.
Great place nices people
Nice baked goods. Friendly staff
Wonderful customer service!! Love the cranberry muffin.....and it was hand delivered right next door... Thank you Brian!!!
Great Food,Great Service
Worth a shot eating here, just be warned that sometimes the food is out of this world good and sometimes its not. The staff can be charming or rude
we wanted a croissant and some snacks before we went on the rest of our journey. Normally we stop here for pies or cake (delicious). My wife suggested a sandwich. I'm not normally a big fan of pre-made sandwiches as they get can get soggy when sitting around. I must confess, this was an excellent sandwich. I got the Ham and Cheese. It had fresh, soft focaccia, thick ham and cheese as well as the perfect amount of mayo and a sweet/spicy dijon. This was in my top 10 favorite sandwiches of my lifetime. My wife says the chicken salad sandwich was divine.
Seriously, who wants to spend $3 on a mediocre cookie?
Their orange cake and lemon blueberry cake are wonderful.
This place is a must visit for so many reasons! Just love it!
I love everything I've tried from here so far. The latest was a smores muffin. Man, I wish I could eat one every day.
What a major disappointment. After a date on Skyline Drive, my wife and I arrived here at about 4 pm on Saturday for our first visit. Having read all of the rave reviews, we had anticipated something like a brightly lit French patisserie with all kinds of temping offerings. Instead, we found a poorly lit room with display cases containing a few offerings, all of which looked days old, so we walked out. However, there was a happy ending, in that we then discovered the soft-serve custard shop half a mile down the road, where we each enjoyed a delicious hot fudge sundae. As for Red Truck; sorry, we won’t make that mistake again.
Excellent pastries and interesting salsas.
This is a delicious stop!
Such a great little bakery! They've got everything from quick, carryout sandwiches and breads to pies that you can pre-order for the holidays. The ingredients they work with are seasonal and make for some extremely fresh and delicious products. My favorites have been the pumpkin cranberry bread and the pecan pie.
Pretty good. Interesting product, but a little short on bread products--although that may be a function of our getting there rather late in the day after they'd sold out.
Country, friendly, fast servicr. Everything baked on site.
An adorable and renowned bakery with a rustic charm. They're known for their pies and my goodness they look delicious. I enjoyed their Stumptown coffee, a quality brew they can be harder to come by outside urban areas, and an apple donut. Cozy spot for a conversation or some solo work.
Good homemade sweets
These cakes were totally worth the drive from DC
A great little gem in Old Town Warrenton. This was our second visit. It took place in the afternoon, when only four employees and one customer were on hand. It was nice and quiet. Go for both the savory and sweet croissants.
It was slightly overpriced, but good overall.
It was dinner time when I stopped by and it was fairly quiet on a Thursday. The fresh quiche with country ham was delicious and their coffee tastes like gourmet coffee shop speciality coffee The pound cakes looked amazing and I plan to try one next chance I have to visit . I got a few muffins to take home and they were very good variations on traditional flavors in a consistency that i consider perfect, not too dense and not too light but with just enough noistness and a little on the dense side without being heavy. I give extra points for the very friendly staff in traditional dress abd the charm of the place itself as an old school bakery of days gone by. This place is just a fee minutes off I-66 and a short trip from the crowded suburbs of Washington DC.
Best bakery in Warrenton VA
A delicious hometown bakery with all the right style and flavor. This is the second and now main location. Warrenton has the original site. The bakery is spacious and staff is warm and welcoming. The baked goods are tasty to the last crumb. The coffee is the best around; black without fixings has a great flavor profile without heavy acid (bitterness). Try the granola at least once. It is heaven. Usually have breakfast sandwiches for the morning then a simple lunch fare. Always a nice compliment of baked goods that are rotated to keep a great variety. Check this place out, you will be back.
Been here several times, tried many different kinds of sandwiches and baked items, have never been disappointed! Top quality, friendly service, fresh flavors, and good coffee. Repeat customer!
I can't say enough good things about Red Truck, Brian and Brian's Angels. His staff is dedicated to making your food and experience the best it can be. Try the granola and be ready to be hooked. Brian is the definition of a gentleman baker and his recipes reflect that.
Yum!
Always delicious and fresh baked goods and sandwiches.
Pricey but nice
Absolutely delicious baked goods and coffee, with great, kind service!
5 bucks for 2 baked goods and a cup of coffee?? Great! But the chocolate croissant legit tastes like ones in Paris? AWESOME. So glad we stopped in here.
This place is just as good as all the local and national articles have said! The Maple Bacon Muffins are fantastic!
The breakfast sandwiches are so good. Coffee is good. Baked goods are amazing. Open bakery area to watch the bakers make everything. Great place
Everything here is delicious! We love getting some pastries and coffee in the mornings! Everyone is very friendly and I would definitely recommend stopping by for any of your baked goods cravings!
I really like this bakery. Especially their brownies and lemon cake.
OMG. Best bakery I've been to. So delicious. I'm glad it's not close to me however. I'd be 500 pounds if it was.
We had brownies. Cakey, basic. I make better ones from Duncan Hines mixes. They would not give me a slice of pie. So you're not willing to slice a pie when you advertise slices? Oh well. I still want to try the pie.
Great pastries, decent coffee, pleasant atmosphere. BUT....... every time I visit, the hostess and employees seem to be disgruntled and rude. Too many rules. Seems very sterile like an artificial creation of what a perfect bakery should be. Baking good pastries and cakes should start with a happy baker and cheerful folks behind the counter. I suggest an attitude change or drink some more coffee.
I usually go in there to get a slice of bourbon cake and it is delicious
The sweet potato and chipotle soup as well as the sausage and jalapeño muffin were delicious! I wish they served soup in a proper bowl with silverware rather than in a paper to go container with a plastic spoon when you say that you'd eat in.
It was amazing and soooooo good
Best coffee on a morning motorcycle ride
Just ok. Nice ambience and good looking selection. Price is high but there is plenty of seating. Tourists from NOVA make this a tough spot to revisit.
Great cranberry muffin!
Great bakery. Very clean
We've never had cinnamon buns so tasty!! Everyone there is so friendly and helpful - one of our favorite Saturday morning stops!
Outstanding! I had one piece of triple chocolate cake and completely
Got the apple crumble pie and I don't know how you could possibly make it any better.
Wonderful baked goods, sandwiches, soup! This is the place to stop!
Cute place in a cute town, desserts were pretty great
Excellent food products and service. Fairly expensive but you get what you pay for.
The girl who helped us was very friendly. She asked all of our questions and after we outchased all of our stuff, we chatted for a few. We loved the small town feeling she gave us and your store too!!
Great place to get a treat. Hidden jewel in a small town. Loved the donuts
Amazing bakery, worth a side trip for anyone driving through the area or wine touring in the Virginia Peidmont. Sandwiches, pies, cakes are all delicious, and many with local ingredients.
Cookies were stale, so we're the baked goods at the counter. Took cookies home for my hubby and they were stale too. Cute place but counter baked goods could be better. We stopped on our way from DE to NOLA.
May be tasty to others ....
This is where we've come every Saturday for four and a half years to enjoy delicious pastries and fantastic company.
Traveled to the area from Florida and couldn't go back without a meatloaf sandwich. Superb as always.
Cinnamon bun...wow
Love the pies! :)
Great pastry and really good coffee. Not to mention excellent service. All around a great place to stop.
Great bakery products all the time
I was in line next to be served. A customer came though the door and was helped before me. I felt I was discriminated. Owner said they were busy, they were not. We never will do business with this establishment again.
Loved it loved it loved it!! The castaway cookies with lime and coconut or the perfect combination of crispy on the outside moist on the inside. Too many treats to try all at once. I will be back!
They are kind of expensive, but their chicken salad sandwich is very good and therefore probably worth it. Other bakery items are reasonable and very tasty. It's a great little place with lots of repeat customers. The internet is also very fast (in the main room, elsewhere in the cafe, it can be very bad). I still give it 5 stars because it works great for me when I need a place away from the office to work.
You have to call ahead or go to Marshall to get pie.
In a muffin cake bridge by here is going to be the best thing I ever passed your two lips
The best bakery on the east coast
This place is so cute! The coffee was good & strong and their cakes and cookies are cute & delicious!
What a find! Best bakery we've found and we've lived in Alexandria for 30 years! Also, just a fun place to go while walking around Marshall.
Love this place
Delicious pies and cakes!
Simply the best....get off I66 and visit
Great pies, delicious cakes and great service! Lots of other Virginia-made items, plus WiFi for those hangin' out to enjoy the fruits of their labor. Make a point to drive out to Marshall, or Warrenton. It's worth the visit.
Great coffee, really good pie, and friendly staff. I have to say that prices are high, but the cost is worth it and you should give the pie and coffee a try. Just tried a sausage and cheese scone. Loved it! Will try the ham and cheese next time.
Outstanding, look forward to visiting every time from NC mountains.Great everything.
Absolutely love this place! Coffee is wonderful & there selection changes from day to day. Plus they have gluten free options.
Addicting and have only been there once but will change that number especially with the holidays coming.
My five star is for their broccoli soup - soup of the day, and croissant only. So I haven't yet had the opportunity to try their pies, (one day!!!!) but got the broccoli soup, and a chocolate hazel nut croissant, what can I say! The soup was my highlight! delicious and hearty! With a lot of broccoli chunks inside, full of flavor... if something is gonna bring me back it will be their soup. This is the second location they opened, and it looks spacious, with some art on the wall, nice clean bathrooms, in my opinion worth a detour, plus they sell moo thru ice cream.
Great Bakery, great baked goods, coffee, sandwiches and soup. It a drive to get there but well worth. We go every chance we get.
Wide variety of delicious baked goods and also excellent lunch specials. Love the flatbread pizzas!
Had an awesome meatloaf sandwich with a ginger beer. Also got an incredible black and blueberry pie that was great
Fabulous gluten free pastries!
Coffee isn't the best...but the bakery is awesome.
Best coffee in Warrenton. Great staff, friendly.
Always stop at this place when passing thru. Their sandwiches are great but the run out quickly, so get there early. Lots of good things on the menu!
Cute, I had a chicken sandwich on a nut bread. I would have preferred a different bread. A little pricey. Would stop again.
The range if baked good on a Saturday afternoon in the fall was surprising. The Red Truck cookies looked perfect for kids
Beautifully kept bakery. Awesome coffee. Fabulous Pastry options and the cakes are to die for. The place is clean & offers a small dining space, just big enough for about 8-10 tables. You'll love it!
Great bakery with very friendly staff. Go early because items sell out quickly. Comfortable place to enjoy fresh bake foods and relax.
awesome!!
Cute bakery with A+ food and cheap prices. Can't reccomend this place enough!
Great and creative food, but no espresso drinks. Quite a letdown for a bakery to not have an espresso machine
Amazing baked goods and I love that they have gluten free option for my son who struggles with Celiac. I give it 4 stars and not 5 only because I think it is a bit expensive.
Great pie! A good place to have breakfast.
Fantastic small bakery, definitely a destination bakery. Great pies and cakes. But all is good.
Very friendly staff, nice space and delicious treats
Really great coffee and amazing baked goods. So glad there is a second location! I do miss the red truck. But you can get it in a cookie!
Best food anytime of the day.
While traveling through Marshall we stopped at this bakery not knowing anything about it. After reading the many reviews and publications on the wall we decided to try their highly recommended Lemon Blueberry cake. We tried the cake one day later at a dinner party. What a disappointment. Very little blueberries in the cake - in fact there were none in my husband’s slice. The cake was very dry and lacked the lemon flavor we anticipated. Sorry, but this was not worth $26. (I have half remaining and to salvage it I’m going to make a lemon sauce to serve with the cake...not something I should have to do.)
Cranberry orange walnut muffins are the best! Soooo good!!
Excellent assortment of home style food. It's worth the travel.
So delicious - gluten free options
Good, fresh baked coffee cake.
Coffee here is great, one of the best places to grab a cup in Warrenton (especially if you like black coffee). The cakes are delicious and so are the croissants.
Had a delicious breakfast with my husband. The breakfast croissants were scrumptuous complimented by their house coffee.
Food is delicious and staff is super friendly. Place is relaxing, cozy and inviting. Highly recommended!
Wonderful food, coffee, and atmosphere! The Parmesan/leek croissant is to die for.
Small and homie, good alternative to Starbucks.
One of the best bakeries in northern Virginia.
Fantastic breakfast stop. Lots of other goodness too.
I love RTB and want to challenge you to make Keto friendly bread! There will be a lot of people that will thank you!!!
Their almond cake is fantastic!
Oh how I love the cranberry/Orange muffins.
Great service. Pimento cheese on bread....awesome.
Nice selection but be prepared to pay$28 for an apple pie! We also have had their chocolate rum cake which was only so so. If you're hungry try Gentle harvest next door for a sip, snack and groceries.
A must stop in Marshall. Can't describe. Google it and go.
I have come here only a handful of times. I agree with others that this place is way over priced. I only really like the croissants. I was excited to try the pecan pie but they were all out but had apple and mincemeat. Super disappointed one think they would have adequate supply of fall pies. Who wants apple pie for Thanksgiving?? I also wish they would sell different baked goods they always sell the same thing over and over.
First time there, the food was good and the people friendly and a nice atmosphere
Great food!
Good sandwich. Didn't think they had a lot of variety in terms of cookies and muffins, but if you wanted a cake and didn't mind paying significantly for it, this would be the place
What else do I need to say about my favorite place to get the world's best pies! We will easily drive two hours for this awesome place.
Worse food I ever had , left breakfast sandwich on table and walked out , poor service , high prices , NEVER go there again.
Excellent muffins.
Delicious cookies, yummy tea, very cool design and use of this historical space!
Really nice place offering breakfast pastries and very good coffee. What really stood out for me was how clean it was. Very homey where everyone inside seems to know each other. Good atmosphere and friendly staff. Looking to return soon. Thank you Red truck for a nice experience.
Great place for fresh and yummy pastries and warm coffee. Great vibes
Excellent stop for a good cup of coffee and a tasty treat.
Everything I have had here is great. Croissants, Muffins, Soups. Hard to find good bakeries these days. This one is on a gourmet level. Coffee is a special blend from Counter Culture. Dig the High Octane version.
Great bakery. Creative items as well as tried and true items. Particularly love their pimento cheese and their tuna sandwiches. It's pricey but worth it for an occasional splurge
A downhome bakery that is for everyone
Didn't expect to find a nationally known local bakery/cafe in sleepy little Marshall, Virginia. Had a great pumpkin donut and coffee and they get extra points for serving gluten-free baked goods. Quite busy on a Sunday morning. Definitely worth making a detour off 66 if you are in the area.
Fun bakery in a neat town! The brownie I had was pretty good too! The steps up to the shop are pretty steep, and the place feels really big for the selection of baked goods they had in their display. This was a nice place to sit and catch up with family, but I wouldn't consider it a place for daily coffee/baked good needs.
A very wonderful place to eat great coffee great muffins Great Cookie I recommend this to all
Bakery items look great. Sandwiches...meh. Service was great.
Cute as could be and great pastries !
Love this place. That baked goods are incredible and the coffee is just as good. Hard to find stumptown or counter culture coffee this far west of the city. A must visit destination for passers by.
Absolutely a lovely and perfect bakery! They have the BEST shrimp curry soup I have ever tasted...actually, it's probably the best soup I've ever tasted! Their breads are delightful and their dessert so yummy. My mom insists we go here for lunch every time she comes and visits from out of town. Really wonderful place :)
We're really trying to love this place, but several things we've tried are too dense and dry. It may just be our preference being different from others. The shop is nice, and the employees are very pleasant. They only have regular coffee, so no lattes or other styles.
All in all this is a good place to get sandwiches, desserts, ice cream and various other food items. They are a touch pricey but I suppose you pay for see improved quality over most other places.
Very good but also pricy
Muffins melt in your mouth!
Loved this local store. Very welcoming and cozy but foods are a little bit pricey.
Amazing, friendly service and an awesome array of pastries and breakfast options. Whenever I'm out in the country I make an effort to stop by!
Awesome. Fresh bread. Good sandwiches and friendly place.
The Best Bakery in America! Definitely recommend the pies, especially the Apple, Pecan, Key Lime, and Peach :) Also, if available, pick up some Moo Thru ice cream while there. Its the ice cream combined with the best baked good.
Always have great eats here. Triple chocolate cake was awesome. Ham quiche is Devine. Previously had focaccia bread which also rocked. Awesome place to check out. Note their prices may seem a little high but the quality is off the charts.
Immaculately clean! Everything is so fresh and delicious. Parmesan and leek croissant are a must! Cranberry and orange muffins are excellent with coffee and the chocolate cakes are the gift for any birthday celebration.
Any time we are in the vicinity of Marshall, it has become a routine stop for us to visit the Red Truck Rural Bakery. We have never had one bag thing there. Everything is fresh and delicious with minimal ingredients. Anything and everything from the cakes, pies, pastries, etc is always wonderful. On this particular trip, we had a chocolate long john, maple bacon long john, strawberry cream cheese pastry, flat bread with parmesean and ham that was absolutely fantastic, a blueberry donut, and of course the one staple item we always buy no matter what - their olive oil rosemary focaccia bread. Fresh and delicious with their #1 rated coffee!!
Popped in here and left with a pumpkin pie that was seriously good, even by home baking standards. This will be as good as any grandmother's.
Great friendly bakery and lunch spot located in nice down town setting.
Amazing nationally acclaimed bakery
Great Breads and sweets
Stopped by on the way to go leaf peepin'! Charming store front with tasty sandwiches & baked goods. We got the sausage jalepeno muffins, ham sandwich, chicken salad sandwich, sausage foccacia pizza & the pimento dip. So so so so good!
Unique & tasty choices. Beautiful pies & cakes, although quite pricey.
Everything is delicious & the customer service has greatly improved since opening!
Friendly staff, great coffee
I love the coffee, drive there just to buy that. But I have had their muffins which are great and the cakes are delicious! I did buy some sugar cookies which were a little hard...but I prefer soft cookies no matter what kind. Everyone there is really nice and I love the big family table they have where you can sit and enjoy your goods while they bake right next to you.
If you're looking for order flexibility, don't look here. Have ordered my holiday pies here for last four years. This year I ordered an apple pie, then the menu changed and I needed a pumpkin pie. No substitutions, but they were happy to sell me a pumpkin pie in addition to the apple pie. Explanation: substitutions upset our holiday logistics. Real explanation: we want to sell more pies. Was another customer not getting a pumpkin pie? No, they made extra. Could they have sold the apple pie? Maybe. Could they have lost the value of the ingredients and labor in making the pie if it didn't sell? Maybe. Did they lose a customer? Definitely.
Great pastries and coffee with personable and excellent service. Stop by and see the kitchen and how the magic is made, and take home a moonshine cake while you're at it, you won't be disappointed!
Several months ago, we ventured through the town Marshall, VA and found ourselves hungry. We stopped to dine in the rustic Red Truck Bakery per recommendation from friends. It did NOT disappoint. We shared their ham + cheese sandwich made on their fresh sea salt + rosemary focaccia which is to die for. Since that day, we’ve continued to think of the sandwich fondly
Yes they have the best pies and cakes but their dank dark little secret? SANDWICHES MMMM. And if you drop by after 1:30 you'll have likely missed out cause they sell out quick!
On your way to the Shenandoah stop here!! The pies are amazing! Be ready for DC prices though!
Delicious pies. Soup with choice of cornbread or another of your chlice. Coffee excellent
Delicious flaky spinach and feta croissant. I got it to go in Marshall. Not only did they not ask if I wanted it heated, they just didn't do it. Handed it to me in a bag and it was not only not heated, it was cold. It would have been amazing if they heated it up with gooey, melted cheese, but no. And the price of a cup of hot tea, over the top. Especially when the honey dispenser was broken. So good, but missed the mark.
Wow, this is a great bakery! I'd never heard of it before, but apparently it's very highly rated by foodies. I really liked the bourbon cake, which tastes a little like root beer, and the almond cake. They also have a bunch of pies, but I didn't get a chance to try them this time. The store itself is very attractive and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I'll go back this summer and get the blueberry pie.
Delicious baked treats! Gourmet soups & sandwiches. Go early to get best selections.
Racist place. I was standing in front of the casher to be served and the staffs ingored me for good 5 mins while serving people behind me.
The best pie money can buy! They also put their cakes in ice cream from Moo Thru, which is amazing!
Great pies and quick bitrs
Exceptional
THIS PLACE IS AWESOME!!! I WISH I COULD GIVE IT 10 STARS!!! Their round cake donuts, muffins and whole wheat croissants are incredible! If you are in Fauquier County and want some awesome pastries, go to Marshall and go to Red Truck. I highly recommend this place!
Pricey but great food and coffee. Very clean, great staff
Really excellent treats
Good pies and they come with a nice thick pie pan
This bakery is located in the cute little town of Marshall, VA. Because of this bakery, we go to Marshall almost on a weekly basis, just to stop in for their delicious bakes and tasty coffee. No kidding, haven't had a single thing we didn't like from here. It's also got a warm and welcoming southern hospitality vibe. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is one of my favorite bakeries located just outside of the northern Virginia region.
The pies are amazing, the almond cake was so moist and delicious.
Great bakery.
Delicious food
They have good chocolate muffins and cinnamon rolls
Friends and I bought three sandwiches for lunch today 3/16/16, the bread was sliced too thick and was dried out, the filling was dried out in mine and skimpy in theirs. Not great a value for $27. It's a shame because Marshall could use a good sandwich shop.
It's a good bakery. Nothing else. They ran out of sandwiches and were not offering quiche by the slice. Definitely, there is room to improve in customer service.
We stopped by early one morning a whim while passing through and couldn't be more happy we did. What a delightful bakery! We had coffee, breakfast sandwiches, muffin and croissant. Our kids also had a nice selection of organic drinks from the cooler. Very friendly! I enjoyed getting a peek into the working bakery where the magic happens too. Thanks so much, Red Truck!
Excellent coffee cake and sandwiches!!
I brought home the Red Truck lemon chess pie. What an awesome delight. Real lemony and flakey crust. They even make it in real pie tin. This bakery is a must stop in rural Virginia.
Thriving bakery and deli in "downtown" Marshall. Delicious baked goods and sandwiches. I stop there as often as I can. Yum!
More of a coffee shop than a bakery, but their chicken salad sandwich in the fridge was great
Clean; tasty pastry. Warning: coffee is strong! I'm 63, and got the jitters after one cup. Friendly service. Robert de Niro & Oprah have visited here.
What a fun stop! Delightful baked goods, friendly service, and picturesque setting.
