This place is BY FAR one of the cutest and most delicious coffee shops I've ever gone to! We went here every day of vacation we liked it so much! The owner is so nice and both the croissant sandwich and blueberry lemon cake I tried were delicious! I also tried the iced mocha which was amazing...not too sweet and just chocolately enough, but you could still taste the deliciousness of the espresso! She also serves Harvey and Sons tea which is some of the best tea I've had (I've previously had multiple types of their tea and never been disappointed). I would come back to VA Beach just to go to May's again!

We love supporting small businesses whenever possible, and this place is definitely worth it. Staff was friendly and gave the right laid back vibe. The chocolate croissant was probably the best I've ever had. Bacon and cheese sandwich is served on a homemade brioche bun. Skip the touristy places and come here for breakfast or lunch. Cakes and other desserts looked amazing as well.

The place is super crowded and I thought they were gonna have more breakfast options - they only had sweets and coffee and two sandwich options that didn’t really sound appetizing. I went with my sister and she tried to order the valentine’s special that they posted on Instagram but they got her order wrong and said they actually didn’t have the special that they showed on social media. Coffee was alright. Probably not coming back. The vegan bar I had was pretty good.

Every thing its absolutely delicious. The price is worth every single penny. I would go here and eat everything they offer daily of could afford it. The customer service is welcoming and warm. I will be back here with some tax return money the treats are so good!!!

May's Parlor is absolutely amazing! The staff are beyond wonderful; so helpful and sweet. And the food is incredible! I had the BEC with garlic aioli on an everything brioche, and my mom had a slice(chunk) of broccoli cheddar quiche. We were absolutely delighted by our visit! Will definitely be back to try sweets!!

One of my all time favorite pastry spots and now lunch! Rachel and her amazing team never fails to disappoint! The warm cozy atmosphere sets a light airy mood even on the gloomiest of days here at the beach! Everything is honestly so good, my favorite would have to be the pb&j cookies and the amazing croissants ! I have always wanted a little cafe close to home to enjoy some tea and pastries as i did in europe and this is only a bike ride away❤ do yourself a favor and take your tastebuds on a delightful and well deserved trip to Mays parlor!

Came here yesterday and pretty much died over how delicious the chicken salad sandwich was on GF. Also had the delicious GF jam bar. Amazing. So I came back today. My toddler spilled a FULL iced latte on the ground. Not only was the staff incredibly gracious in helping us clean it up, they made another one no questions asked. I’ve probably spent way more money than I should’ve in the past 24 hours on food, drinks, and pastries, but absolutely everything was delicious, affordable, and accommodating for my dietary restrictions. also I definitely thought the coffee was a lot better than some of the alternatives down at the oceanfront. Will be back, probably too often!

I bought a birthday cake for my daughter. I was assured that the cake would be great even though the cake was made on Saturday, purchased on Sunday and picking it up on Tuesday. It was a vanilla bean cake. It was terrible! The cake was dry and tasteless. There was a crust on the cake like the baking pan was not washed after every use. The icing was sweet but expected. Very disappointed.

Owner is very friendly and devoted to her art . After 10 years in the wilderness trying to find a good pastry shop in Virginia Beach we have found it at long last !!! Soup and salad next time yum!!!

Every time I visit May’s Parlor, I leave a happy customer! Any given item on the menu will leave you satisfied. Some personal favorites include croissants (try the everything croissant if you’re feeling adventurous!), cruffin (a croissant and muffin hybrid), and a good ol’ cinnamon bun (although Racheal offers a variety of types). Paying a visit to this bakery/patisserie/cafe is always a requirement whenever I am in the Virginia Beach area. Highly recommend!

This is an adorable and AMAZING cafe. The coffee is great, especially with the house made syrups. The food selection isn't massive, but with as much attention they paid to what they do have on the menu that doesn't matter. The chicken salad sandwich I ordered had dill and lemon in it for an interesting twist on a classic. 100% would recommend to come at least once, but you will probably need more than one trip to sample it all!

The pastries and food here are legit. They had the best coffee espresso I could find near the boardwalk. It's not outstanding espresso, but it is good, and that's after trying about four other coffee shops near by. We could walk there in 5 min, so they became our breakfast and coffee stop. Super cute interior and friendly staff.
