REVIEWS OF Stowe Bee Bakery & Cafe IN Vermont

Theresa Boccia Kennedy

Great food and super friendly.

Yvonne Price

Bee bakery has numerous choices of cookies, brownies, cakes and all are delicious. The area where the orders are taken is small and crowds very easily. The prices are a bit higher than I'm used to paying but the sizes are large. They also serve smoothies and coffee and have a nice sitting area.

Aislinn R

Everything tastes as good as it looks! The interior is charming, the staff are friendly and helpful and, most importantly, the treats are delicious. Highly recommend the savory rolls and the raspberry almond tart, especially.

Damon Brink

Stowe Bee is a great bakery. Friendly, very tasty treats and many options from chocolate creme brulee to Maple shortbread and everything in between. An added bonus is that they serve really good and bountiful bowls of chili with garlic butter toasted sourdough. Don't miss it.

Tasty quality foods and beverages. I was pleasantly surprised at the lunch menu, the interesting coffee options, and the very tasty cookies. I also enjoyed the subdued and casual atmosphere of the dine-in area. The cooks and staff were friendly and unhurried, which I appreciated. I would definitely recommend both their lunch items and their baked goods.

The coffee and cappuccinos are always amazing. Lane and Leanne make them to perfection. They are never too hot. They are always the perfect temperature to drink. Would highly recommend them to anyone anytime.

Best place in Stowe for a coffee and/or lunch. Within a week, We visited 5 times.

My wife and mother in law think that this place is great, but I loathe it. Alright, I'll happily admit that the baked goods are pretty tasty, but it's far too precious for its own good. Trying to order is a ordeal of rude people pushing and shoving and then add to that nonsense like: "we don't make paninis on Mondays," tepid lentil soup, and we're far too ernest to sell freaking Cokes.

Nice friendly staff, excellent food, I had the best"Cobano" sandwich I've ever had.....literally gigantic. Half was plenty for lunch..savedcthe rest for later.

Pricey, but delicious! An excellent variety of good gluten free options (better than most chain restaurants - I was able to actually sample everything my mom ordered without fear of An Incident) Cute theme and vibe, the bee motifs are a nice touch and the aesthetic is very Vermont while still feeling like a coffee shop. Would definitely come back!

Lots of promise, but never really delivers for us. We're always bit disappointed after a visit. It's been three times, so they're out for us. There's far better coffee at several nearby venues. And twice when we were there for lunch they were unable to serve it (once they were missing staff, and can't remember the other reason.) Ordering is a real phaff... The door is to the left of the counter where the order line forms, and the menu is to the far right of the register so you may not know what you want until you are at the front of the line, which slows things up. Then once you order, you have to fight your way back through the line to get to the door. Just not well set up. On the plus side, the baked goods are quite good, so if that's all you want then have at.

Awesome breakfast stop on the way from Stowe to Mansfield. The baked goods and pastries are delicious and home made. Popover is a must have - they are gigantic enough for two to share, with strawberry or honey butter. We liked the weekender breakfast sandwich (egg white , cheddar and spinach on enough muffin). They also have a roomy cafe with free Wifi for working.

Stefano Di Lollo

I quickly made this quaint little place my go-to pit stop for some great coffee and/or smoothies. Love that this place was nearby so I could easily walk there.

Christine Dorward

We stopped in the bakery on our way out of Stowe. Incredible breakfast sandwich on their "buttery, flaky biscuit." Also, the popovers were huge and their butter selection was vast. It was very hard to make a decision on what to get. Wish we had this bakery in Rochester!

The buzz around town is that this is the place to bee. Tried three bakery delights, each mouth watering and to die for. There’s something wonderful about walking into a bakery and smelling fresh baked goods. Extremely cute place with a lovely bee motif.

LOVE the Bee!! Ate breakfast with our ski buddies 3 times this past weekend. Everything is made from scratch, and the caramel latte is the BEST latte I've ever had - blows Starbucks out of the water. The Bee is so quaint - the perfect Vermont touch. A must for a quick bite whilst in Stowe. Keep up the hard work, Bee!

The newest bakery in town, and I LIKE it! The staff treat you like family (think "The Waltons" and not "The Simpsons"); the goods are fantastic; the prices are fair. There's a nice ambiance to the place, and it's a great place to just hang and linger over one of the many coffee selections. Downsides are few: I was a little surprised that a place self-named "Bakery" doesn't have bread, but I guess that's not enough of a surprise to ding them a star. I've never had an thing here that I didn't think was among the best I'd ever had. Highly recommended. (Wish they had bread, though... I'd never have to darken the door of Harvest Market across the street again!)

Wide assortment of delicious baked goods. Tried several and loved them all. Their breakfast biscuits are rich and satisfying.

Sweet Staff and provides both soy and almond milk options for drinks! I will say I was slightly disappointed by how small their drink menu was, as it seemed more heavily catered towards snacks/breakfast food than actual drinks. Nevertheless, my wife and I were just happy to find a place that could provide something with her coffee aside from lactose!

Jack Lazeur

Cara Battersby

Phenomenal baked goods, very friendly staff, and a great place to sit and chat. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious, cheerful staff, comfortable atmosphere!

Aaron Lyon

We had some super cookies! Some of the other options also looked great!

bruno korbar

Good selection of baked goods of above average quality. Small letdown of a place is an underwhelming coffee, which is considering the La Marzzoco espresso machine and close proximity to generally amazing Vermont Artisan coffee roasters.

Wonderful bakery. You feel like you stepped into France.

Great place for coffee and breakfast. It’s not one of those shops that has plastic wrapped baked goods- they have legitimately good home cooked breakfast options. It’s an excellent place to go. Strongly recommend the egg and cheese sandwiches on biscuit. A++

Mike Lovering

Great place to stop and get a coffee, and enjoy breakfast! A small counter service cafe, with very friendly staff. Fresh baked goods and breakfast sandwiches available. There is additional seating with plenty of room for families or groups of friends.

Csilla Zsuzsa

Cute place, but the cupcakes left something to be desired. I got the raspberry lemonade ones which were offered as two for the price of one and other than the colorful buttercream, it was only sweet and tasted like neither lemon nor raspberry. I also ordered a cappuccino and there wasn’t a pretty design, the foam was just dumped in. For the price I paid, I expected more. Hopefully the other pastries are tastier.

Iz Wak

I stopped by this bakery for a cup of coffee during a famous bake path in Stowe. It's nice to have a table even just for a coffee and coockies. They offer free Wifi! People work there are very frienfly!

The place is cute and thought we would get something a little special. The sandwich was nothing but normal and the wait was terrible. It’s a very small place but we had to ask for our lunch after waiting a 1/2 hour. They did apologize and gave us some sweets for having to wait so long.

Pete Bruhn

I gave Stowe Bee Cafe a rating of three stars only because the woman behind the counter was so nice. I really liked her, she is so appropriate and kind. However, the product itself is so amateur. I tried three different items and they were all Third Rate products. The coffee was acceptable, the Americano was alright, but the European style latte was better. The caramel latte was not good. It is my opinion that this Cafe will be closed within a year. Partly to do with its location and the fact it has nothing special in the way of product to draw the crowd. The prices for the pastries are acceptable, but the coffee is slightly overpriced and it's not so good. The coffee product per say, is not the problem, it's how they are preparing it. The owners also don't really understand what it means to use quality or local ingredients. That can be a problem for vermonters. But I wish them well.

Cool new place in town to get quick bites and good coffee! They brew Vermont local Backcountry Coffee. Delish looking baked goods. Nice seating area. Only negative was the obvious first month of opening jitters, but I'm sure they'll get through that!

Lauren Rodych-Eberle

So cute!! Food was great - felt like a cozy, home-cooked meal. And the staff was super accommodating. Perfect for a quick breakfast, lunch, or a coffee/tea break!

Beautiful new bakery and cafe. I stopped in for a veggie wrap I saw featured on Instagram and was rewarded with a tasty lunch large enough to share with a friend. Great place to bring little ones to watch the sweets being decorated. A nice addition to Stowe.

Excellent breakfast sandwich, amazing popover, and super accommodating of allergies. Make sure you get some of the special flavored butters. The maple one is fantastic and melts wonderfully on the popover. Lots of indoor seating but this place fills up! Good coffee too.

Jessica Longe

While in the area, we decided to stop by a place we had never before frequented. In more than a few words- exemplary example of local, fairly priced, thoughtful and caring. The pastry was well past good, they were delicious. Approaching magical. It was everything I love about breakfast in a sandwich, including the happy "good morning!" I received. The blueberry/vanilla almond muffin was rapturous in its decadence without being dense- or to airy and crumbly like the scones that I didn't quite have enough appetite for. A true treat! The "back of house" and "front of house" interacted with courtesy and dignity- neither of which were forced. Each acting in concert to serve the bakery team, which serves the customer well. We were served by a younger member of the community who was ensconced in laser-like focus as she crafted our drinks. Both were simple, but she made accommodation to our requests as though it were nothing but the ordinary, while taking all the care to create a pleasing experience. I wish that more young people could spend time in your shop- not to simply eat, but to see how such a simple service can be attended with care! Well done! If you have occasion, take the time to stop and see the fine folks at the Stowe Bee Bakery- you will not be disappointed.

Tasty pastries and coffee. Loved the German chocolate bar.

Dave Stuber

Everything was great except for not having the menu item I selected.

Hui Chieh Hsiang Jackson

We decided to try this place out for breakfast. My husband got a large coffee and I got a large maple latte. We got a few different things to share with our son... a chocolate chip muffin, maple apple muffin, strawberry brie scone and a egg muffin with meat, veggie and cheese. Our toddler enjoyed the chocolate chip muffin. We split everything else. The food and drinks were very delicious. We will definitely go back again for breakfast.

D.J Esemplare

This place could get 5 stars if they knew how to serve customers without an intolerable wait with just a few customers in the bakery. Coffee is excellent and baked goods are outstanding but if I peek into the shop and there are more than 3 people at the counter I go home.

Stopped for coffee during our walk on the Stowe Rec Path. Shop is conveniently located, coffee was good and the people were very friendly. Lot of honey, pastries and local treats available (which all looked good), but some fairly steep prices on those items. Coffee was reasonably priced for the area/convenience. Clean bathroom, which is always a plus on a long walk.

contrast009

Amazing fresh made pastries and sandwiches!

Jeff Soley

Lots of breakfast options. Gluten free available. Had a gluten free (almond flour) muffin and americano coffee: both delicious. Looking forward to sampling the breakfast sandwiches, breakfast cups, and frittata on future visits.

Robert Richard

Perfect spot for lunch with a special treat for dessert. Too many to choose from, all are delicious.

smrati hans

Anyone who is interested in trying how local tastes are, should definitely visit the place. The staff is really friendly. We order coffee cheese cake and chai tea latte and it was amazing! They also have classic mugs nd local maple syrup which is amazing!

Wednesday Adams

To die for homemade bosquit breakfast sandwiches! Delicious pastries, the apricots gone and chocolate scone was some of our favorites. And the coffee is organic and absolutely delicious!

From the day "The Bee" opened it was clear this was a REAL bakery. You can immediately tell Lisa and Dan, husband and wife, love what they do and truly care about creating a wonderful experience for the guest. It's refreshing to walk into a business, be greeted warmly, knowing they care about their guests. The quality of the baked goods is second to none. You can taste the quality and the love in all their baked goods, panini's, quiches, coffee drinks both hot and frozen and more...All around one of the finest bakeries, cafe's and food services establishments I've had the pleasure of visiting. The only downside...They don't have black and white cookies, perhaps one of the most delicious confections on the planet!
