Omg, this place is fantastic! A nice, old-fashioned bakery, every product is handmade and looks it. We tried the donuts and were not disappointed. Pillowy-soft and delicious, they tasted exactly the way donuts should taste: like a sweet, yeasty cloud. The eclair and cream-filled donut were loaded with real pastry cream, not just whipped cream, like some places do. The cinnamon rolls are big enough for 2 to share, but so good, you won't want to. I cannot wait to visit Plattsburgh again and go back to Rambach's. If I lived there, I'd be a daily customer!

I've gotten tons of cakes through out my 18 years of going to Rambach's but last year and this year I've noticed a change in the cakes. Last year I got my daughters and husband birthday cakes there and both times they were very, very dry. The cake was falling apart even before it hit the plates and it also tasted funny. I decided to pre-order this year for my daughter birthday. I just thought the previous two times were just bad luck. Unfortunately it was the same thing. Very, very dry. I did mention it to the people but nothing was done to fix my unsatisfied service. Although the staff is very friendly and polite, I feel maybe something should of been done to make up for the cake. I definitely wont be going back for a very long time.

It's a change from you typical Dunkin donuts they are fresh baked goods. I mean it doesn't look like much but they have some good donuts. Also they are very very sweet fair warning!

I love this little home town bakery. All of the donuts I have tried are fantastic. They are light and never overly sweet or oily. And the price is fantastic. But get there early, as they go quick, and you will be found trying something new. And most of all, the Austrian Tea Cake is tremendous. I am not usually Big on cake, but the sweetness is subtle and the frosting is light.

Cakes are good and the bakers are great. The pastries and cookies are good if you've never ventured outside of the USA. The Australian Tea Cake is the greatest thing on the menu. If you haven't tried it...go there just for it. You won't regret it, and you'll wish you bought two.

Recommend using another bakery. This bakery isn’t dependable/reliable. On the day of pickup for my order, it wasn’t ready. To be exact, it wasn’t even prepared. Kudos to the local Walmart for saving the day.

I really like Rambach's. Their new location is much better, easier to get in and out of and you don't have to deal with the traffic of Rt. 3. I always get consistently good bakery items from them. Cannolis are pretty good, so are the baklavas. But by far their best item is the Napoleon- creamy, flaky, just the way it should be.

We bought a 7 inch chocolate birthday cake. The frosting was good...not as gritty and sweet as some American butter creams. But the cake was extremely dry and tasted a little funny, like it was old. The employees were very nice and the price was reasonable.
