Consistently amazing pastries, cakes and cookies. And then there’s the upscale ‘ring ding’! They also sell pastry dough! That alone is worth the trip.
We decided to have pie at our wedding in lieu of the traditional cake and chose Mirabelles for their wide selection and exceptional pies. We ordered 24 pies of varying types and each one was delicious. Some guests had five or more slices - a testament to how delicious they were. Alison is a true pie master and takes incredible care in her craft and you can taste it in every bite. The crusts were perfect and fillings exceptional. We even went there for lunch a couple days after our reception and ordered another pie! If you love pie, then Mirabelles is your place either for a slice or 24 whole pies.
Love Mirabelles! Always serving wonderful breakfasts and lunches...and the cakes and pastries are elegant, decadently delicious and not to be missed!
Friendly service, amazing pastries, and excellent breakfast. It does get crowded like every other breakfast place around, but come on the early side and you won't be disappointed. (The place is not large- you could get a pastry to go through). The chocolate croissant was divine. The frittata I had came with toast and potatoes; I chose baguette as my toast but there are other options (I might go with that next time, toasted baguette is delicious but kind of hard!) I love how low key this place is. One of our favorites.
We ate here for brunch and everything we had was fantastic. We both ordered the same: Breakfast #2, which is 2 eggs, bacon (or sausage), hash browns, and french toast (or pancakes) for $12. It was the perfect size for brunch to tide us over until dinner. Service was great, the atmosphere was lively and busy even at 11 am, and we would definitely go back if given the chance!
I just bought the Creme Brulee cake today and all I can say is ALL MY GOD!!! It was simply amazing. I shared it with some co-workers and all of them are raving about it too! Nicely done!!!!
Amazing fresh made goodies. Mousse cakes, cheese cakes, exotic foreign treats, to many to list. The best chocolate chip cookies I have ever had.
Best Hash browns.
Your products look delicious, wish I could afford an ocassional somethin somethin! I direct many guests from Hilton Homewood suites when you are open! I think you guys should open a 'last minute' - late night products truck for food cart vending on Church St. or even Arts Riot friday night food truck festival for increased market exposure! Note: to self, that cheesecake and cinnamon rolls look buttery soft and decadent!
I've only ever had cakes from here, but they make a superb cake. Their cakes are also beautiful.
As always, perfect.
Great breakfast in downtown Burlington! Whether just from their bakery section, or a sit-down breakfast this is always wonderful. Lunches are good too, but I'm a sucker for a good breakfast out. Their Chocolate Raspberry Mousse Cake is amazing.
Awesome breakfast! Our waitress was super nice and attentive even though the place was very busy and everything came out great. Popover with egss and smoked salmon was ridiculous and the hash brown slice was a nice touch.
Must try the orange dream :)
Every Sunday Awesome.
Going there for the last 6 years every time we are going to Burlington!
The food was fantastic and the staff was engaging.
Delicious food, slightly pricey
Best french toast I've ever had! The French style hot chocolate is another great winner.
The best cinnamon bun I've ever had came from this bakery. This place is always busy, for good reason. A food hot spot with incredible baked goods as well as more traditional breakfast fare. Go!
Have been there many times in the last 9 years. I guess I should share what I like. The breakfast is always good. The menu is not super special but just matches my appetite. I like their omelette. Many bakeries are very good too, particularly creme brulee cake, spectacular in my opinion.
The macaroons are soooooooooooo good!!!!! That's my favorite thing at mirabellesm
One of my favorite places to eat. I didn't care for what I ordered today, first time i got a meal I didn't care for, but I will go back, they are too good to let one bad meal stop me. Try them you won't be disappointed.
Great breakfast place and the service was fast and friendly
Good coffee. Great pastries. Friendly service.
Amazeballs
Best breakfast and brunch in Vermont!
I love their deserts & they make a great breakfast.
Excellent bakery! Excellent food! Local, friendly and welcoming.
Our wedding cake and 15 years later our macarons...still some of our favorite bites in Vermont.
Good brunch and excellent pastry. A good spot if you're looking for short/no lines and not after a boozy brunch
Many gluten free options (cakes) and coffee. Quick and friendly service.
Love this place
this is for pastry counter. (have not had breakfast) yes its good but PRICY. also took away a star for horrible customer service. this girl was no help at all answering question and really snooty. hate to hold it against an establishment but she got hired.
Cinnamon roll rocks.
This was one of my mother's favorite bakeries, and she knew baking! Also a good place to stop for lunch.
Stopped in here twice during a two-night visit to Savannah, it was great. Quaint, delicious, and comfortable. I really enjoyed the coffee and the waffle!
Good place
Great breakfast place.
should more gluten free choice There is.no WI fi
Incredible food and great service!!!!
This place is great. I always get the number 2 and share it with someone, it's the perfect amount of food for two people. I like the new crispy donuts as well :D
Best macaroons in town! Actually best desserts PERIOD. Chocolate cake is amazing as well. Nice chilled environment for lunch or breakfast with a menu with simple yet well executed options.
We're told it would be a 30-49 minute wait. Came back 20 minutes later and were told they already called our name. They said we would be next. Then called five other people first. Had to wait another 35 minutes!!! I'll never go back!!
All of this bakerys food is just phenomenal. They serve such a wide variety of food, deserts, coffee and other drinks, all so incredibly delicious, and their sweets are to die for!! They have an enormous selection of different types of desserts all of which are so unique and made to perfection. If your looking to try an exquisite place to sit down (or take to go) coffee, breakfast, lunch, or dessert I would absolutely recommend you check out this astonishing place!!
Such a nice place , bright and sunny with the smell of fresh pastrys in the air. The popovers were especially good
Lovely stop looking for a quick meal in the university neighborhood of Burlington. Delicious breakfast on a Sunday afternoon. Good coffee from a roaster in Stowe. I recommend the breakfast burrito.
A very special place for Sunday breakfast!
Try the cinnamon bun! You will not regret.
Consistently good.
Decent lunch food. A little cramped in the seating area. I would have enjoyed my stay a little more if there wasn't a child running recklessly around while her mom gossiped with her girlfriends. Otherwise the food was good. Portion sizes were large. Prices were good for a lunch menu.
Delicious, great atmosphere and busy.
Food is good. Place is small, often crowded, and the service isn't great.
love mimosas and sunday brunch here
Small quiet diner just off the main tourist area. Good food, good service and reasonably priced. Would go back in the future.
Yum!
Popovers were fantastic!
I was for a week in Burlington and just love it...went back almost every day for breakfast. Love everything! The desserts are very good.
Great staff. Great breakfast. Plenty of baked goods to take along for the ride.
I've been to Mirabelles before, and have enjoyed their cakes we have brought into work for parties. They have always been the BEST of any bakery in Burlington. Today, I spotted the Paris Brest fine pastry. Last month in DC, these became my latest favorite. Mirabelles did not disappoint! A hazelnut and chocolate filling combo on the fresh crust, just the right size...I'm in heaven!
Cute and tasty
Good food..
Love to go sit at the bar by the window. People watch the people walking on the sidewalks outside and eat the always fabulous breakfast.
Good menu, more than just coffee and pastries.
Delicious food for a sit-down restaurant experience and a wide selection of pastries in their to-go options! Excellent service as well.
Best for deserts
Best food ever! Chocolate raspberry mousse cake is my favorite
Cookies were great but sadly the counter help wasn't very friendly
This place is so cute, and so good! I went in on a way too empty stomach and left with a huge assortment of baked goods, which were all delicious!
**Holiday Hours** Memorial Day 2018: 8am-2:30pm
Delicious pastries. Good breakfast.
Great flourless cakes.b
Overpriced for what you get. Usually out of what you want. Food is pretty decent. Dont get the "hash browns" unless you want a potato cake.
Ordered Hot chocolate, it was amazing. And the desserts selection is pure bliss... Love this place
Great food, great service! We had breakfast, then of course bought yummy pastries to bring home. We parked in a metered space which allowed cc or coins, we even got change from Mirabelles. Great customer service.
The best breakfast and customer service in Burlington.
First time in, perfect breakfast after a night of fun!
Great food and cooked amazingly well! If I'm ever in Vermont again I'll be stopping by for sure
Always great food and excellent macarons!
The breakfast was really good and so was the service.
Slightly overpriced but can't be beat
I am from Montreal and I visit downtown Burlington frequently ,was looking to have some dessert after lunch and found some good recommendations about this place in yelp. I was not disappointed , I loved the pastries and coffee and they have a nice place to sit!!!! The chocolate glaze doughnut is fresh and yummy .
Always tasty, inventive menu with the basics included. Good coffee, this is very important point. So often the coffee is sunpar at best.
Great spot for lunch, breakfast or bakery treat!
Wonderful. Food was excellent, can't wait to return.
They have a fine selection of pastries, cakes, and chocolate treats. They have good coffee and they also serve sandwiches. Including breakfast sandwiches. Wonderful place. Try their creme brulee cake... Amazing.
Not a sit down and relax kind of place. Ordered a latte and was handed one in a to-go cup. Apparently you need to order food if you want to sit down in there. I was left holding a hot, bland chai to finish before I could find a more comfortable establishment. Not worth the $5.
Rediscovering this place on a rainy day. Reasonable is rare in Burlington. Mirabelles is a unicorn.
Top quality bake shop and a nice breakfast spot.
Local small diner with great breakfast choices.
Great local French pastry shop right around the corner from Church Street. Nice seating area with street view. Pastry and dessert selection is excellent. Also, morning croissants are amazing. They do cakes -- ordering ahead is recommended. Friendly staff. Highly recommended!
This was a recommended breakfast spot on a business trip. Open seating and a simple but solid menu made it easy to order and the service was good. I got the steel cut oats with berry compote. SOOO delicious when I added just a touch of honey. The maple bacon was very good also. Didn't get to try any of the pastries but they all looked amazing!
One of my all time favorite bakeries! Their cakes and pastries are amazing. Highly recommend.
Beautiful pastries, pies, and cakes! Delicious macarons
Delicious bakery items to take out or eat there for breakfast and lunch, in their small cafe.
Love breakfast here! Pastries and coffee are the best around. Our office gets cakes and pie from them every time someone is celebrating something.
Fabulous treats for a work celebration!
Best of Burlington
Great breakfast/brunch. Amazing creme brulee cakes
My favorite place for breakfast in Burlington
Love this place. Consistent great breakfast and lunch. Bakery is awesome.
The deserts are awsome. I also got french toast to go but they forgot my butter and syrup.
Great local bakery.
Amazing! Best bakery in Burlington!
Yummy pastries for a billion dollars
Best breakfast/bakery in Burlington!
Steel cut oatmeal is really good
Part of why I'm kind of annoyed with this place is because of all the hype surrounding it. People insist it's the best breakfast place in town, but I won't go back. The service was just ok, nice and polite, but very slow. The food was really bland and generic and the coffee was honestly terrible. The French desserts are much better than the breakfast food, but they're still kind of overpriced and too rich for me anyway.
The breakfast here is phenomenal. Solid classics along with great stretches, like a popover breakfast with lox. Don't miss out on the bakery items - one of the specials was a coconut lemon scone. So good!
Incredible French macarons! Was on vacation in Burlington this weekend and got an assortment of their macarons which were the best I’ve ever had—their flavors were awesome too (pink grapefruit was my fave!) All wrapped up in a beautiful box we’re bring some home for family also. Highly recommend!
Delicious and fresh food, can be a little noisy and cramped for sit-down service but the quality of service and product cannot be overstated.
If you want some wonderful pastries and/or a great breakfast, this is definitely a place to try. I had the Creme Brule French toast and it was tremendous. Also got a pastry to go, which was also excellent. Wish I were local, as this would become one of my goto places
Amazing food. The creme brulee cake is unbelievable. My staff parties no longer have anything else!
Mirabelle's is awesome. You should go!
Excellent wait staff. Breakfasts are huge. Cakes are yummy.
Best bakery in Vermont.
Had my breakfast twice in a row. Nice and cosy breakfast place. Tasty popover!
Best bakery in town with a cafe. Great cakes and cookies. Serves breakfast and lunch. The confections are a little pricy.
My husband and I received a 6 inch cake from Mirabelles' as part of an elopement package at Hotel Vermont. We chose the creme brûlée flavor and it was absolutely delicious! It was totally different than any other cake we have had and it was incredible. We would definitely order from Mirabelles' again! Thank you so much for being apart of Hotel Vermont's package and allowing us to experience this wonderful cake!
Amazing Food that you would never cook at home but love to eat everyday And the sweets..... "Forget about it"
They rate very high for a reason! Coffee and omelettes were amazing!
My fav place
great bakery on main street. I'd love to get lunch here sometime but I normally only get coffee while I'm getting cakes for birthdays or special occasions. The creme brulee cake is AMAZING
Excellent selection, including gluten free items, and absolutely delicious!
This is a perfect place to bring your date. Consider it! Do a tasting paired with cheese. So good.
I had a salmon salad and biscotti from the bakery, everything I had was delicious. Everything I didnt have looked amazing as well. Some bakery items seemed pricey to me, but all exceptional quality
Their Avocado and Cheddar sandwiches are my absolute favorite!!
Not sure if new owners, or new inexperienced staff but recently had a nightmare with a recent order. I've been ordering Birthday cakes for the past 5yrs, always for the same date. This time I wanted a more custom cake, which I was assured would be very simple - even though it was.a little off the available menu. My original order was too confusing, yet amateur bakers in elementary school understood what I was asking for. Then I placed another order, and two days before it was due - the store called and inquired about my original order. There appears to be no communication at this business anymore between workers, staff talk on the phone and pay no attention to the customer and orders are not acceptable. $60 for a cake and they can't even do the simplest of requests.. Unfortunately, Mirabelles has lost me as a customer. I will not recommend this company, nor seek out orders in the future... Buyers Beware!
Wow, awesome.. Brunch, Bakery, Specialty Pastries....one of the best in Burlington!
Delicious breakfast and friendly staff!
Oh these cute little Tiramisu cups! Probably the best ones I have had till date. They melt in your mouth and are perfect to quench sweet tooth cravings. Not too sweet, yet delectable. Other recommendations would be Lemon Bar, Crème Brulé, Chocolate cake (I don't recall the exact name right now but it has flaky texture on top, will update the name soon). Another one which was recommended by their staff is 'Opera' which is good but not at par with the ones mentioned above.
Best deserts in town
Our go to place for breakfast when in Burlington.
Must try it in order to appreciate it! It is so incredible, worth the price.
Delicious food , great service. Would definitely go back
Good place, good service pis good quality of crispy bacon, but little ex pensive, 33$ for 2...
Had a great brunch
Great place...nice service. Food lovely.
I moved from Burlington a few years ago and this was my favorite bakery. First I found that all my favorites were gone. They had no buttercream so I took what I thought was because of the description a chocolate buttercream. I had just turned down a suggestion if a coconut cake telling them I didn't like who cream icing at all. He put the chocolate cake in a box and of f I went. I got home to find it was a chocolate whip cream pudding tasting icing. Disappointment - yes, waste of money - yes, a feeling of being deceived - you Bet! Will I be back - no way! DoneD be filled by looks.
Staff is pleasant. Rooms are clean
So delicious!!
Mirabelles is the best bakery in Burlington, and has the friendliest staff. We love them and have for many years.!
One of the top bakeries in town. If you are looking for pastries to go, or a great dine in breakfast, there aren't any better options in Burlington. I have patronized this establishment on a semi-regular basis for the past 4 years and have always found the service and quality of products to be consistently to a high level.
Soooo good! words what words?? Friendly staff, top notch baked goods. A worthy stop.
This is one of Burlington's local icons. The food is always good (I loved my Brazilian bean soup) and the staff is about the friendliest in Burlington. Plus, it is a bakery! So you have to indulge, right? This is a place that I always see locals I know, but that I can recommend highly to visitors. Parking can be a challenge, so have quarters and use the blue meters on the end of Church Street.
Great breakfasts. Very helpful and friendly staff
Excellent food, house made chorizo, biscuits, pastries with good coffee and a friendly staff.
The best breakfast and bakery in Burlington.
