So, I'm from Burlington, and in addition to Vermont, I've lived in Arizona, Maine, Wyoming, Canada, Panama, Mexico, France, and I'm currently in South Korea. I've traveled to over 40 countries trying various vegan foods, and the best place I've ever eaten has been here. Do you know that scene in Ratatouille when the critic eats his meal and is transported back in time to his childhood and relives his mom's cooking? I had that same experience when I had one of their cupcakes. Ambrosial, decadent, and as someone who disdains our society's addiction to unnecessarily buying things, I'm more than excited to splurge here when I get home.

Until today, I had only tried the pastries, which are decent. Today, however, I finally tried their breakfast sandwich. It's freaking delicious. Other pluses: WiFi, outlets, and friendly vibe.

Just had the seitan sandwich with sundried tomatoes/cheese. It was so good! Leaving I bought a current scone. Just nibbled and it is so good too! Will be hard to save it for breakfast.

Handcrafted bread and baked goods, And they feature fermented cashews. This visit was my first experience with fermented cashews in the flavored versions. They were delicious. Their commitment to artisan process is impressive. Really nice space with nice light. Get out and support them!

Lovely little cafe with delicious bread, sandwiches and pastries. It's hard to find vegan pastries but Knead had a selection of vegan cookies and croissants. I had a chocolate chip cookie and my partner had a chocolate croissant and they were both very good.

I just can't get enough! Four of us went there for breakfast and sampled all of the breakfast items. They were fantastic. The breakfast sammy is the perfect way to start your day, and the french toast was soft, fluffy, and flavorful. We ended up going back a few days later to grab a couple of the lunch sammies (the tofu cheddar was my favorite!). Also enjoyed some draft Kombucha and Zero Gravity. Definitely check out Knead if you live in Burlington or are passing through!

I heard so many great things about this cute little cafe and pasty that on my most recent visit to Burlington I definitely needed to stop by! Was not disappointed by the coffee or the scones I got the first visit but I was a bit bummed that it took three separate days' visits to finally get a hold of a vegan croissant. It seems like a huge shame they only make five a day. Can you even believe it? I totally get that they're labor-intensive and expensive but then maybe take them off the menu?

Knead Bakery is a great addition to the neighborhood! A friendly and welcoming atmosphere with equally friendly staff. The menu all appeared to be vegan friendly which I am not but still found to be delicious. If you are in for breakfast/ brunch get the challah French toast, you won’t be disappointed and you won’t leave hungry! Coffee was great too. I will definitely be back!

Amazing broad and imaginative all-vegan menu, with great meals, snacks and treats. Nutritious and delicious lunch options, generous portions (my friend and I both kept half our sandwiches for dinner). Tea + coffee were great, with a wide range of plant-based milks to choose from. Convenient location with parking available. Really nice place to hang out with a book, but busy at lunch.

So much more than "great vegan" - as this place is simply great! Soups, sandwiches, bowls, deserts and coffee are all at least good, and many are outstanding. Also, we often get a loaf of bread to take home with us, as that too is top-notch. The Old North End neighborhood is the place to go, with this and other really good places to eat and drink!

Stopped in to check out the newest addition to our neighborhood!! It was a great choice, Knead Bakery is super cute and clean. I got their Challah French Toast-it comes with real VT syrup and fresh blueberry compote. It was super delicious and came out really quick. They have lattes and drip coffee too. The prices can’t be beat when eating out in downtown Burlington, especially given the amount of food in the serving. Definitely will be telling people to come stop in and try it out. I will also definitely be back, I’m excited to have such a delicious bakery a few blocks from home.

It's hard not to be completely in love with this place! And there's seriously no reason not to be either! The only thing that's disappointing is that they're closed on Wednesdays, but then again, that's probably when they do epic baking and prep, so that's extremely forgivable ;)

Vegan heaven for everyone! The lunch food and baked treats are delicious and comforting. I had the spicy tempeh sandwich and tasted my husband's sweet potato sandwich. Both were mmmmm.I usually eat little of bread I'm served, but couldn't get enough of Knead's. I enjoyed my chai latté, too.
