Selection is good, service is quick. If you haven't been to a trader Joe's, I would go just to look around a bit. Almost everything there is of their brand (frozen pizzas, cookies, even pop-tarts). It will probably be more expensive, but it's also significantly better than the usual brands. So don't go to grocery shop. Go if you want something interesting for dinner, or if you are going on a road trip and need car snacks (trader Joe's cat cookies for people all the way). It will be delicious, often all-natural, and interesting.

I have been to this location a few times and have always been happy with the service and product selection. I went tonight to pick up some eggs and a few other odds and ends and was extremely happy with the service I received from my cashier (S, Josephine). She super friendly and even checked my eggs to make sure none of them were broken before I left the store. I was so impressed with her that I couldn’t let her amazing service go unmentioned. This store has such a neighborhood market feel and has all of the staples you will need.

I was treated rudely by a cashier in another lane while trying to keep my autistic little one from making a scene while we were waiting to be checked out. I sent in a complaint to the company and there was a very weak effort made by the manager to follow up (about a month later). This occurred a few months ago. Previous to this experience, we would spend over $100 a week there. Since then, we have spent $0 there. I hope your employees' bad attitude toward me is worth the $5,000 a year of my money that you won't be getting the next 25 years!

We like this location over the one in Fort Union. Even though it seems smaller, the people who shop here and the service is top notch. Prices are low and brands are tremendously diverse. Vegan food section is also extensive if you're feeling kind of lazy and want to pick up a 'meatless' package of food.

Biggest I've been to so far in SLC. Love that it is convenient. Many shops and places to eat and walk nearby if you go for just a snack or even if you buy groceries the staff are always quick to get you rang up and out the door. Very environmentally friendly with paper and reusable bags, I respect that. I go to TJs a lot for organic food for a fair price due to allergies.

Trader Joe's is great fun. Walk in to glorious cut flowers, explore pretty produce, many choices in quick and exotic meals to nuke when you are in a hurry and want a curry. One corner has samples of coffee or other drinks; they have fancy things for your dog and items like rose toner for your skin. But I can rarely afford their prices. Trader Joe's sells produce by the item rather than the pound---$0.19 for a banana. Parking is tough, lines are slow and long. I buy their olive oil, little else---and I make rose toner from scratch (rose petals simmered, reduced, with witch hazel).

What can I say - I'm one of the many people who wrote letters to TJ's headquarters urging then to bring TJ's to SL, and I'm not disappointed. I always leave with more than I came for because they're always adding products that pique my interest. I've heard they are finally making an effort to reduce the amount of packaging they use for their produce, and I look forward to that. I'm there at least once a week for cheese, produce, Italian-made pasta, and a host of other specialty items.

My favorite items are the hummus, pita chips, dried baby pineapple, snack mix, letter cookies, cookie butter, produce and floral pricing, holiday selection, and super friendly team members. They always have at least one free sample item in the back and. Often want to try the same item at home.

I've loved everything I've bought from here! everything is fresh and of great quality. They even have some skin care items but are really good! The new hydrating gel moisturizer is amazing, and only $9! Who knew Trader Joe's would be amazing at more than just food. Also apparently they let you try snacks if you want? I asked a staff member if the gluten free cookies were good and he opened a box right there for me to try one! They're frozen foods are fantastic. I love the Japanese fried rice and spanakopita

Never been to a Trader Joe's, it wasn't the farmers market style, the isles being narrow or products it was the fact it was so busy you couldn't walk through any isle. They were so blocked and cramped with people trying to find their stuffs that you couldn't push yourself down an isle. This was not rush hour, just middle of afternoon. This location is too cramped and packed for downtown Salt Lake.

Great employees but they always seem to sell out of the things I buy most frequently...aloe vera pulp juice and lemon bars to name a few. Also you may just get someone at your car door asking you for money to help buy propane for their tent... When you tell them you don't carry cash they might just wait until you come back thinking you might have something for them now that you went shopping. Not sure propane in a tent is a good idea...nor has this ever happened to me at Harmon's or Smith's...not really sure that's on Trader Joe's but seems to happen in their parking lot quite frequently and while it doesn't particularly bother me, I think it has made my family avoid going.

I hear people saying how TJ's is just another Whole Foods, that it's too expensive, that the stores are too small. To this I say "stop comparing TJ's to Walmart". Sure, it's probably a little more expensive that Walmart, but who isn't? I don't want to shop at Walmart. I want to shop somewhere that there is a possibility that the managers and owners of a store might care about my health and well-being. The prices here are on par with my neighborhood grocery store, but the food is usually at least a little bit more healthy, with less additives and artifical ingredients. I love their selection of frozen dinners.

They often don't have what I'd like to buy. They used to have very good vegan T & J lettered sour gummies. They stopped making them. More recently, I went back for Swedish gummies 1 week later: gone. Ginger paste in a tube: stopped carrying it. The kind in the freezer was snowed in. Although the sourdough bread is very good, the expiration date is only 2-3 days out. I like the Vitamin E oil and cottage cheese very much.

Though smaller than some other TJ's, the staff here works super hard to keep everything stocked and are really friendly and helpful! I like the idea of a smaller store with a much smaller selection of high quality products, some of which are seasonal. It's nice that the price is fairly comparable for many items to a big box retailer. And that when you look at the ingredients list it looks more like a recipe than chemistry homework. The location is really easy to access from the Red Line. It can be really busy on weekends and right before the holidays - and as some things are truly seasonal, they might be out of it - until next year.
