Nowadays the firm has a score of 4.4 stars out of 5 and that rating is based on 519 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an reviews average is positive, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may conclude that the rating is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to give their opinion when they've done well with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to set tatings when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Bakery belongs to the category of Asian fusion restaurant.
When your friends say Rye? You should say Rye not??? This place has it all; and by all I mean breakfast AND lunch. They have the classics like eggs and bacon, but then they get a bit crazy and say "what if we took a thicker cut of bacon and slapped it between two buns" - that's where the pork belly sandwich comes in. I had this bad boy and it was great! The bread was crispity crunchy and the pork belly was soft and succulent. The fries topped it off on the side with shoe string cut that were delightful. The atmosphere can't get too much more hipster or else you'd be in San Francisco, but it's nice and clean. Makes you feel at home in a barn. Like not a real barn, but you know how some people have a lot of rustic in their home? Maybe a sliding door that's a "sliding barn door" - that's what I mean. Come here for the good food and they do something next door for music or something, I don't remember. I was too much into the food.
Wow! This place was delicious! Love their house potatoes! Will definitely return#
Rye is a great place for breakfast. Beyond everything I've tried being delicious, Rye has multiple vegetarian options. I don't love their hosts (every time I've been, there were people waiting in their entrance, and the hosts are almost never loud enough), but the service is good overall. There is a parking lot behind the building, which is a great benefit for a place near downtown.
Great atmosphere and food. It was busy when we went, but staff was polite and got us in quickly.
Kitschy downtown diner. Food was above average and on the unique side, lovely linens and glassware. I ordered the mushroom toast and a gin. Went here for the entertainment, they were amazing. Great space for live music. Support local talent! The service is why it has 4 stars, wish I could give this cute place 5 but the service was pretty slow (I think she forgot about us cause she took forever to get our order). Don't worry though, I'll come back someday and give it another shot.
Great place for a tasty meal with good service and you get seated quickly, even on weekends!
Amazing breakfast place! Loved it!
Great vibe and great food!
Great coffee and excellent breakfast sandwich.
Absolutely delicious! My wife and I are almost regulars, and they never disappoint! We order the same thing every time- Breakfast Bowl over brown rice. It is always so consistent, and the staff is very kind and knowledgeable. I'd also like to give recognition to Alex! We went in on a busy day and he was killin' it!
Met a good friend for brunch, but I'm allergic to eggs (never fun at any breakfast spot) - so, I ended up ordering the Vegan Hash. I'm not a vegan, so I did not have high expectations.... Wrong. It was delicious! Lots of garlic and flavor and it was all cooked perfectly. Nice vibe, pleasant waitress. Next time I'll see if they can throw sausage in it...
We enjoyed the urban loft/ industrial feel. The food was well presented and we enjoyed it. We had the French toast, whisky waffle (with egg and pork belly) and the duck breakfast bowl. It all went well with the drip coffee and kombucha.
Ambience and service get five stars. The menu also gets five stars, but the final taste is more like three and a half. Interesting flavors. Dinner and brunch both sounded amazing and tasted pretty good.
Food is good and customer service is great!
Food is good, drinks are great! Service is maybe too good. I definitely think there is a balance between checking in to see if I need anything, and not leaving me alone to the point that it's aggravating.
Live music and delicious food , especially the chocolate dessert!!! Great atmosphere and friendly people too!
Fun and trendy place for dinner. Relaxed staff and good ambiance. The "Rye Burger" was a bit above average, complimented fantasticly by the garlic fries. Excited to come back for breakfast!
Atmosphere is the reason I can’t quit this place, it just feels good to be here! And the food is always satisfying. Great drinks, appetizers and meals. I love sitting at the bar and enjoying a slow meal alone. Fun to go here before a show at Urban Lounge. One of the most popular brunches in the city, especially for the trendy set.
Love the brunch! Love the breakfast! Hipster wait staff can be a little complacent but the food makes up for it.
Nice place, if a bit hipster-esque. Did not care for the coffee, though... it tasted like they had not cleaned the pot.
Has lost some of its luster over the years. Needs a menu update. Food is small portioned for what you pay, but the flavor is good. I highly recommend the pork belly as an added side to anything you get! Nice little bistro environment, and if you're lucky enough to go by when there's something playing at the Urban Lounge, then they will most likely show it on their TV's throughout the place. Free parking in the back, just drive through the alleyway on the north side to find it.
Pretty good food, good service, not so crowded. What brunch should be.
Fantastic, the best ingredients, prepared delightfully!! Service is awesome! Definitely one of my favorites here in Salt Lake City!!
Excellent food here! Excellent service! Love their veggie bowl! The eggs cooked perfectly! And my dirty chai latte excellent!!!
Fantastic find! Delicious innovative menu that had me coming back 4 times in 3 days!! Thanks to Alex, Adam, Alexis & everyone at Rye for the great service, drinks & food while visiting SLC!
Food and service were great!
Great food with fresh tastes. Brunch and dinner menus don’t disappoint. Try the earl grey iced tea - it’s amazing.
If you came here looking for an amazing review, reassuring your decision to eat at Rye... You wont find it. I have never gone out of my way to leave a poor review but here we are... After waiting for nearly 40 minutes for what seemed like an already open table we were seated and forgotten about for another 15 minutes. After our drink order was taken they returned with 1 drink being incorrect, 1 drink completely forgotten about until an hour later and none of the drinks given to the correct person who ordered. Side note, The beer is advertised as 12oz and I can assure you that it is not a full 12oz glass. Next we ordered food. Bad decision by us seeing as how not a single person at the table ended up with the meal that they actually wanted. The bonus was that all 6 meals were sent back for being cold. Not just "warm" But fresh out of the fridge cold. The "breakfast bowl" is essentially just a freeze dried pho bowl where you replace the broth and noodles with cold brown rice. Didn't eat it. The "porkbelly" was rock-hard and had to have been at least a week old. At this point everyone was pretty upset and although we kept it cordial and polite not a person at the table was please d about a single element of the experience. The checks came and we were overcharged for an extra drink we never ordered and never received. After all this I still ended up with a $40 bill before tip (1 drink & 2 breakfast meals). I'm writing this hoping to save other honest people from being scammed out of their time and money. If this place is still profitable in another year I would be shocked.
Great service. Delicious food. Pretty pricey. The salmon bowl was excellent. My server was prompt cheerful and didn't mind giving me advice about condiments. The atmosphere is vibrant and aesthetically pleasing. The one drawback is the price. While the food is clearly of good quality and well-prepared, it was a bit steep for what I got.
Unique food tastes great
Great food, fun atmosphere, awesome local music!
Had a blast at red wanting blue great food and atmosphere friendly staff
Love that they offer vegan options. I had the Vegan hash it was absolutely delicious. My friend had one of the soft egg scrambles an fully enjoyed it as well. Small parking area located in the front and back make it easily accessible. The food is higher in price but definitely worth it.
This place is the best. I have had most things on the menu and have never been unsatisfied and it's just the right amount not to feel stuffed. The people are also great. Very great service. Very good vibes.
I really enjoy the atmosphere and the food at this restaurant. However sometimes they over salt the food a bit too much.
Best chai in the valley and everything on the breakfast menu is delicious
I definitely would recommend it to all my friends. They have great portion sizes for their food but it was a little loud and hard to hear my friend at times
All the servers seem stoned. Our waitress didnt refill our water once, she was in the back massaging the cooks. Food is good tho!
Ate here on a Saturday morning around 1030am. There were 2 of us and we got seated immediately but around 11 it started to get busier. The coffee was great. The food was delicious. My husband got the peking duck bowl and said it was amazing. I got the smoked salmon bowl and it was delicious but did need a little salt and hot sauce because there wasn't a sauce on the rice and quinoa so I felt it just needed a little more flavor. Overall great time and we would definitely come again. They have parking in the front and also the back of the restaurant.
I was really excited to go here. Really liked it when we got there. Even though food was good. Waitress was a bit grumpy to all, but we shrugged it off as she was just having a bad day or something. And still tipped her well. But then at the end there was a certain incident with the waitress. We will not be back if she's working there. I will not subject my friends to that kind of disrespect again.
Amazing service, great food that caters to different diet choices
That was a great breakfast bowl!
The fried chicken and biscuits was amazing
Ryan took care of us and the food was impeccable!
Delicious food. Our server Amanda was absolutely fantastic.
I got the tuna melt. The bread was so good! They claim to use albacore, but it seemed like regular, canned tuna, except pureed - I wouldn't recommend. My husband's grilled cheese was amazing. The tomato soup was pretty good. Service was a little slow considering it was lunch, but maybe that's just what it takes. I'll definitely be back to try other offerings.
Food was good - service was lacking
One of our favorite Salt Lake brunches. Sunday morning wait typically 10-15 minutes. Service is friendly. A little loud, but nice room
It is a hip place. The food is good. It is popular so it can yake a few minutes to be seated durring bury times. The menu is simple which is great if you are easily overwhelmed with a lot of choices like I am.
This place is amazing. We came late on a Friday night, their menu was really well priced and the food was amazing. The portions were perfect for a late night dinner and the braised short rib tacos were the best thing I’ve eaten for a while. The staff was friendly but not in your face.
Delicious breakfast, lots of options for a vegetarian meal. Coffee with cream comes out with a cute lil milk jar!
I love to come here on Wednesdays as they give some if their proceeds to a local charity. Amazing food! Ordered the brussel sprouts, they were tangy and tasty. Kim chi queso (pictured) was amazing, my new favorite app, it also came with home made chips, it's a must try. Entrees were the califlower tacos and duck tacos the tacos were so delicious and filling! Service was top notch! Nice vibe and great layout.
Most of the portions were big. All the food was great. Chicken and waffles was delish
Best Black Bean Burger. Reasonably priced, excellent service, and cool atmosphere. Good place to take clients for lunch, simple menu with really great selection. Cool powdered soap in the bathroom too:)
The food was very healthy and the price reasonable. Just as I like it!
The Rye is one of our favorite spots in downtown! Thefood is good. The interior is well-designed. The place is clean (esp the restroom). And most of all, they have great customer service. There's a few parking spots infornt of the resto but you can also park on the side street for access and just walk a bit. They also have a "You are safe here" sign on their window which I absolutely love!
Very good, hip and eclectic restaurant
Great jalapeno grits
Brioche French Toast was amazing. Great service too!
Nice people great food
One of my favorite brunch spot! Hip and trendy yet delicious! I recommend breakfast bowl, smoke salmon bowl and the French toast!
Great place, great food and service. Special fusion tastes with quality ingredients.
For the price it’s very much not worth it. Rice bowls were incredibly bland. The French toast was good however. Service was horrible. Server was extremely inadequate. Didn’t check on us after the food was dropped. My steak was over cooked and tough.
Love this place. The food is always great. I love the chicken and biscuits. This place does biscuits and gravy VERY well!
Service was good on weekend afternoon, tables were not packed. Unfortunately food arrived barely warm, flavor was great tho- good enough to not bother remaking, which was kindly offered. Mgmt generously gave us a credit come back.
Awesome food and fun, friendly staff.
This place has such a cozy feel. The interior decoration is hip and industrial. The food was very flavorful and their menu is packed with so many delicious sounding dishes. The bloody Marys were small but strong, with a spicy flavor . All good was reasonably priced! Will definitely be coming back!
One of my favorite brunch places, especially if you like breakfast bowls. Good drink selection and always excellent food. Be prepared to wait, but I promise it's worth it.
Busy Sunday brunch with my daughter. Food was fantastic and I felt like I was in a welcoming atmosphere. Waiter was great, I didn't catch his name. Thanks.
Good food, fast and friendly service, but a littllee overpriced :/
Delicious food and great service
Fantastic breakfast once again. The Vegan Hash was delicious along with the decadent French Toast. After having a few outstanding dinners there it was nice to know the breakfast game is still on point. The menu has something for everyone.
Always good food, fast service, and amazing quality for the price
Great drinks. Generous portion sizes. Reccomend the breakfast burrito.
Yum. Friendly place full for brunch on weekends, lots of college kids and Utah hipsters. Egg and pancake fare breakfast with nice touches of local sourced produce. Full bar cocktails beer and wine. Espresso drinks.
Very flavorful and delicious!
Great place for tasty vegan and vegetarian brunch. They have some great gluten free selections as well!
Tasty food, and a variety of it. Service was never annoying. Crowded for brunch but didn't feel crowded.
I feel like I may be giving them the benefit of the doubt by giving them a 2 star. My girlfriend said I can’t give them a 1. But we were pretty much the first people in right when they opened this morning. Ordered simple breakfast dishes and waited about 30-45 minutes only for them to bring us cold dishes. Many others that had came in after us got their meals before we had. We refused to eat our cold meals and they took them back to make us new ones. We will see how they come out. I’ll write another review afterwards.. maybe. On a second note, I had to adjust to a one star on my own time away from my girlfriend. They brought us back our dishes about 10 minutes later which had been microwaved, still charged us full price. Not entirely the waitresses fault. But someone should make this right. Owner, manager, reach out holla
Fresh, organic food. Breakfast through lunch hours. Fish and chips with salmon fillets. Waffles and whiskey.
Fun little brunch spot a few blocks from downtown. Great atmosphere, service, and food.
Went for brunch. Such good, unique options. Try their mimosa with apple cider . . . Delicious!
This is my regular brunch joint. I love everything I've had on their menu; they also have tasty drinks and decent vegan options. If there is no parking available out front, they have a spacious lot behind (to the East) of the building.
The first time we went to Rye it was amazing. Inventive menu, hot and well thought out food, and a great atmosphere. This past time we went, incredibly disappointing. Our Saturday lunch was cold. Way too much whiskey in the waffles, and the chicken was cold, fatty and greasy. The service time was very slow (our server was going to bring us a plate and went to another table for a 10 minute visit), with very few diners, which made it confusing as the food should come out hot. But no. Cold and yucky. After one bite we were done. I think you lost us Rye. We won't be coming back.
Menu was concise but still had great options for different diets. The food + staff were both excellent (great sweet potato gnocchi - just the right amount of fluffy/pillowy deliciousness). Bartender Ian was lovely and knowledgeable.
Amazing food with amzing drinks. Great atmosphere
Great place for brunch! I like that they have something for everybody. I had waffles, pancakes, and french toast and I loved all of them (even if my favorites were the waffles)! My husband had different breakfast bowls and he really liked those too. Everything is really filling and the service is amazing! It's fast even on Saturday/Sunday morning!
Really yummy brunch! First time here and really enjoyed it
Lovely and quiet place!!i Really liked the tomatillo sauce!!
Amazing food! So classy but still great prices. Favorites were the brioche French toast, keifer pancakes, pork belly sandwich, salmon, and the pomegranate panna cotta. Can't wait to go again! Great restaurant that is really involved with the community.
Great food, great cocktails!
Food was fantastic, service was good. I would recommend this for a good whole food meal. Great place for a vegetarian meal.
Very unique. I highly recommend spending some time here.
The moment I entered the door, I was swooning over the decor and atmosphere. Mind you, it's nothing to boast about but it looked like a place that would appeal to foodies. I went for brunch and was seated towards the back of the restaurant where the bar and the somewhat open kitchen was located. Their menu had good amount of options but definitely not overwhelming and I was delighted to find they serve local kombucha. I opted for the duck bowl (cannot rememeber the actual name but pretty sure it's the only duck item) and enjoyed how the the different flavors came together. I do want to point out that parking is not necessarily prime. Not a deal breaker at all though. There's a few spots in front of the restaurant or there's street parking.
The veggie breakfast bowl is worth having again and again
Can't beat duck and pork belly for breakfast. Unassuming facade. Cool digs inside. Definitely recommended.
Brunch was amazing! Best scrambled eggs I have had at a restaurant in my three decades of living! Super soft and flavorful. Excellent and fast service as well.
I had brunch here a couple times. The staff is really friendly and funny. They were willing to accommodate any and all weird requests that I had for my food. The food feels healthy, but also tastes really great. Their bacon is delicious, it's a lot thicker than most places which some people like and some people hate, but I feel like you can never get too much bacon.
I use to love this place. But they changed their menu and prices. Trying to make the menu too fancy. Sooooooooo unbelievably disappointed!
Breakfast bowl is always my go-to. Typically service is good but on this occasion, our server only checked up on us once. Another server in a near by section was more attentive to us than ours.
I came here for brunch for the first time. I ordered the vegan hash which I was really excited about because it had peppers, onions, butternut squash, sweet potato, mushrooms, etc. I ended up being disappointed because it was cooked in a soy sauce tasting sauce. I was surprised by this because I don't remember the menu saying anything about the sauce. I was thinking expecting more of a traditional hash cooked with salt and pepper. It kind of felt more like a dinner dish to me. I am giving this place 4 stars instead of 3 because everyone else's food was really yummy, the coffee was good, good service, nice ambiance. I think I just ordered the wrong dish for me and would definitely come here again and order something different.
Delicious brunch, excellent service
This was my second lunch at RYE and I was completely dissatisfied and will not return. They seated my party quickly but that was about it for a good experience. We ordered iced tea and it took more than 15 minutes to brew and get to our table. The wait staff seemed like they were overwhelmed but only 1/3 of the restaurant was full. Finally when the food arrived it was bland and tasteless. I am very disappointed because the space is cute and in a great location but there are so many other great spots downtown. Save your time!
My first time at Rye was for breakfast. I went pretty basic and got the eggs, bacon and toast. There was an option for avocado instead of bacon as well as other plant-based options for other options on the menu. I’ll get more adventurous next time. The OJ was incredibly tiny, so I don’t recommend that but if that’s my only complaint, that’s not bad. The vibe in Rye was pretty cool and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to eat there again. The waitstaff was attentive and efficient.
Interesting twist on brunch. Kimchi and seaweed breakfast bowls, great cocktails, great atmosphere
Absoluetly INCREDIBLE!!!!!! We will def be going back!!!!
Limited range of the menu, especially the small plates. Uninterested staff and attitude. Nice setting but...
I was so happy I went to Rye for brunch. I was drawn to them by their creative and ecelctic menu and overall cool vibe. The food met all my expectations. Their french toast with lemon curd was out of this world. I got a side of pork belly to go along with it and it was a perfect match. I wish I could have had another stomach to have the duck bowl which looked increible. Highly recommend Rye.
Tuna sandwich is really good.
Everyone got their food way before me and one other person at our table. One person at our table had hair in her food. No ice in our water and the cups smelled like dog water. When we finally got our food it was cold... We both had Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. The bread was soggy with grease. The waitress didn't seem to like her job and wasn't very nice when we asked questions about the menu. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back.
Breakfast burrito pretty good. Great coffee
Amazing breakfast! You have to try the french toast and the burrito.
It's my new favorite breakfast place
So if you haven't gotten the $5 breakfast that they do Monday through Friday from 9 to 11 the early bird you're out of your freaking mind it's so good and the rest of the menu is awesome and the staff is so nice and the digs is really swell as well and the one thing that I absolutely love about this place more than anything else in the world if they don't put ice in the water too big deal to me.
I was really not impressed with this place. My partner got the chicken and waffles which was good and why I still would give Rye 3 stars, but I made the mistake of ordering the breakfast sandwich. This sandwich was 75% bread and the other 25% was completely tasteless. I'm not even sure why it was on the menu if it was going to be so bad.
Great mushroom toast friendly staff, lean and cool design
Good experiance, food was great i would suggest the french toast they are very good.
Love love love this place!! Great food super cute on the inside. Awesome Staff
Went for breakfast. All of the in-house food was perfect. Great chicken, waffles, sausage gravy, biscuits, pork belly, whiskey syrup, hot drinks, etc. Staff was friendly and attentive, atmosphere & decor are nice. Minor critcisms: 1) the house potatoes seemed to be a pre-made frozen variety. when you're priding yourself on artisan foods, there's no excuse not to have awesome potatoes. potatoes are cheap and super easy to do well. 2) the scrambled eggs seemed to come from a mix. the fried eggs to order in our group looked perfect, but the scrambled were disappointing. from a place like this, a scrambled egg should be scrambled on the grill fresh from the shell with a bit of butter. again, eggs are cheap, this place is billed as slow-food; slow down, don't cut corners on basics.
Need Thomas back.
Cauliflower tacos and loaded Mac!
Excellent band tonight. Red Wanting Blue. Would be a 5, but spoty service. Good food, great cocktails.
Great place for brunch!
Salad was ok. Service was fine. A friend got the BLT with sweet potato fries and they were really good.
Me and my wife had wanted to try Rye for a while. We want in Saturday morning for brunch and were seated right away. I had the Waffle with an egg and pork belly. My wife had the Chorizo Scramble. For drinks we both had coffee and a cocktail. I had the Foreshadowed and my wife had the Elbow Patch. Everything was delicious. The whiskey syrup with the pork belly was fantastic. The flavors went together very with the coffee and anise of The Foreshadowed. The Chorizo Scramble was great. We got the "tostada" instead of toast, that was the one down side. It was good but they were essentially just over cooked tortillas and we wish we had gotten toast instead. The Elbow Patch tasted like a grown up Orange Julius with a little spice to it. It is one of the best brunch cocktails I've had. Overall it was a great experience and we will definitely be back.
Great brunch, pancakes were awesome and the vegan hash was great.
The food was really good, it was a bit pricey. The aesthetic is really fun.
Asian food, yeah, quality stuff. nice location to meet with family. the service here is outstanding.
Delicious! Several vegan & vegetarian options for brunch. This was our favorite place to dine on our visit to the SLC area.
One of my favorite brunch places in the slc
Good food, good atmosphere and good prices.
I love the food selection for both brunch and dinner so much, and the rotating drink menu always has delicious new things to try. The wait staff are always kind. Tonight, we didn't see the sign on the door that they were closing early for a private event (until we were leaving), but our waitress didn't put any pressure on us to get going. I so appreciate it! We had such a nice time.
Rye is one of my favorite downtown Salt Lake City restaurants. The prices are so low for how high the quality food that you get. It's stylish, delicious, and interesting.
Asian food, super yummy. The service was very welcoming and observant. Ambience is similar to Fresno's scene.
We try to make it here once a month to visit superstar server Ryan and eat some delicious waffles and whisky. Their homemade whisky syrup is amazing. I get it with pork belly, or split with fried chicken.
Delicious vegan burger!! And great ambience
I really enjoy the egg and cheese sandwich, and could drink the House Mary all day.
Special was seafood ciopinno seafood with clams, muscles and sand. Lots of sand. Cauliflower appetizer was bland, 10oz beer for $5 wasn't ideal either
