****UPDATE**** Reaching out to "make it right" seems to mean emailing and making excuses for why they "bait and switch". Or a quick run around trying to confuse the situation and make you think something else happened. Bottom line is they did a quick bait and switch hoping that I would still have my truck fixed there for almost double the cost as several other shops. Telling someone that they have a non existent recall to get them into your shop is a horrible way to do business, what a massive waste of time and lowest of the low, it isn't a surprise car dealers have the reputation they do. I was calling around to get a quote for a repair on my Ford F350 diesel. I was super fortunate I thought when the service advisor informed me that there was a recall on the part I needed replaced. I was aware of an extension to the warranty on it, but it had expired on 12/31/2018. Bad luck for me since it is February, but that's how warranties go. I thought it was awesome then to find out there was a recall. The advisor told me it was vin specific and asked me to give him the vin, so I went outside and got it off my truck , I was in luck...I qualified. After asking how many miles I have on my truck, which I informed him was a little over 150,000, I made an appointment for Monday morning. Around noon time I was texted, not sure why a phone call wasn't appropriate, since the advisor informed me that I needed to replace the exhaust sending unit for a cost of $900 and change, I had made an appointment to have the reductant heater replaced, which was similarly priced. The advisor informed me that the exhaust sending unit was not recalled, so I would have to pay. I told them not to fix it since I would like to get other quotes. 3 hours later I realized I might have been confused and called to clarify about the repair, again I'm not sure why a dealership that says "we hear you" can't call so that it is clear. Anyway she informs me that those parts are referred to 2 different ways, exhaust sender and reductant heater, which is odd because when I google exhaust sending unit for my truck every post is about the reductant heater NO ONE refers to it as exhaust sending unit. Bottom line as it turns out, the recall I spent 15 mins on the phone speaking to an advisor didn't exist or was expired, so if I want it fixed, I've got to pay, which under normal circumstances would be fine. But to misinform, lie or be dishonest, how ever you want to look at it, makes me not deal with companies. I had always thought that Ken Garff had exceptional service, super disappointing to find out they are like every other car dealer.

We got the impression that they were trying to help us get a good deal and weren't just trying to squeeze dollars out of us. We traded in our truck for a new one, got pulled over after we left & the truck was illegal to drive due to it not having mud flaps.... Sooo they sold me a truck that was illegal and requires me to add Mud flaps to make it legal. You'd think that they would be selling cars/trucks that were legal to drive. Our truck came lifted & on custom wheels that they installed there. The trade in they gave us on our truck we traded in was pretty low. But other then that the buying experience was great. Just upset that our truck is illegal to drive after we spent 80k+ said and done out the door.

The place was very clean and the staff was friendly. However, the service was lacking. My husband took his car in for regular service (oil change, etc.) as well as a fix for the passenger side mirror and an additional key fob. He made an appointment for all of this. It took about 6 hours for everything. They paid for an uber to send us home, but when they requested it to bring us back, they put their address as the pick up rather than our home. They didn't have the mirror in stock and had to order it. They ordered it, and it was the wrong mirror. We had to wait another week for the proper mirror to come in. I understand that businesses get busy. The wait time seems more than a little ridiculous for someone with an appointment though. Plus the whole deal with the mirror made us not want to come here again.

I have not had good luck with dealerships lately, but Ken Garff Ford in American Fork has turned that around. I was dealing with Larry H Miller dealerships but finally had enough of them after countless bad experiences. I gave Ken Garff a try and will continue coming back. The receptionist in the service department was friendly and funny and my service writer, Pat, was so nice and personable. My taillight had been filling up with water and stopped working. When I originally took it to LHM, they kept it for 3 days and managed to only take a picture of the issue. Then never called me back to say Ford had given them approval to replace the parts. This was well over a month ago. When I came into Ken Garff today, Pat and another rep got a picture, called Ford, and managed to get the approval all within 20 minutes. The receptionist then got me an uber to my house and another back to the dealership when the work was done. They had my truck all good to go and cleaned by the time I got there. Yes it was minor work and did take quite a bit longer than anticipated, but I hope to continue having good experiences here in the future.

Just found out the cat they sold me was not in fact all wheel drive but front wheel. I was told the car was automatically 4 wheel drive and I did not need to worry about it. They offered me $6,000 less then the other ford dealership when quoting out my trade in. Ken Garff is just that way. It’s amazing someone would ever trade a car in there. They want to make 7-10,000 off a trade in. I don’t think they will last long. The salesman was nice but embarrassed even telling me that. It’s too bad I was going to buy a truck. The Draper ford dealership just got me a lower price.

I purchased a brand new 2018 Ford F-150 and love the truck. However I can’t say the same about the salesman and sales managers. I came in after 6 to negotiate a deal on the truck, during the negotiations they told me that as a loyal Ken Garff customer that I would be getting cost on any parts that I needed for my new truck. The next day I called and tried to order some Falcon shocks that retail for $1559, bill in parts came back with a price of $1518.... pretty sure a dealership has more than a 2% markup.. anyway, about a moth after having my truck I get a voicemail from My salesman asking that I pay an additional $240 dollars because they didn’t pay my Car off in its entirety.. I spoke the sales manager Jim about the amount owed and essentially put the blame on me, stating that it’s the buyers responsibility to ensure the car gets paid off... not sure how Ken Garff operates, but in purchasing cars in the past, the dealership always calls to confirm the payoff amount and handles it from there. The $240 is not the issue. integrity is always why I’ll be a repeat customer, and they have completely lost my trust. Just got off the phone with Ford credit and looks like they didn’t payoff the car in the allotted 10 day, so that’s why there is the additional money owed.

Bought my car here and got the "5 yr bumper to bumper extended warranty" for a few thousand $ more. I feel they were extremely dishonest about this so called warranty. The first time I take the car in for a repair the almost $400 part and service was not covered. The car wouldn't run. What good was this warranty if it doesn't cover the repairs? I would understand if it was normal wear and tear, but it was not that at all. Also for this so called "warranty" I can only take it to this dealership. My car broke down in Bountiful and they don't even cover the the full cost of towing to get it there. Lesson learned. I feel they stole that "warranty" $ and that they're dishonest. When they called to see "how satisfied I was with the service" I expressed this frustration. They told me they would have someone call me. No call. Not surprised. I Will never buy from here again!!! If you do buy from here don't get scammed out of thousands for their so called coverage it's a lie. Would be better to save that $ and pay for repairs yourself cause they wont. What a joke!

I had some tough requests of them and they were happy to comply, and by the way, the price of the car was below other private party sellers of similar make-model-miles, even with the "doc fee", so I wouldn't let that stand in your way.

I purchased a Yukon from this dealership less than a month ago. They assured us that the car was in great condition, when we test drove it the check engine light came on, they assured us they would fix it. They replaced one part but afterwards the car shifted really hard. They said it was Normal and wouldn’t look into it. We took the vehicle on vacation and turned out the struts were bad, we had specifically asked if the car needed any additional work when we bought it, they assured us that with there 250 point inspection found everything that was a problem had and it been fixed, even when we asked them about how the vehicle was sitting low in the front ! They even assured us that the vehicle was still covered under warranty, another lie! Now we are 1600 miles from home and the car has no suspension! When we took it in to another dealership we discovered that the under car protection we purchased it with was missing (apparently they didn’t put it back on when they did the transmission repair) We had to waste 2 days of our vacation and over $1500 fixing badly damaged struts and accompanying parts! Don’t trust anything they tell you! and make sure you get everything when you pick up your vehicle! (They also overcharged us by $200 for the vehicle when we went in to sign papers and finance told us there was nothing they could do about it)

I do not live in Utah and was on my way to Lake Powell for vacation with my family. Late Saturday afternoon my Dads truck broke down on I-15 and they were the only dealership in all of Utah (all other parts departments were closed, pretty sure theirs was too) that I was able to get a hold of that was willing to help us out. The guys I worked with, Cliff and Rodney, were awesome and got my family back on the road so we could get to the lake early the next day. If it were not for them we would have had to stay in central Utah until dealerships opened up Monday morning. Thanks again for the help!

You won't find a more straightforward car buying experience. This is my 3rd vehicle purchase from these folks, and the experience was everything I have come to expect from a Ken Garff dealer. My needs were more specific than usual this time around, and I couldn't find anything in the Ken Garff inventory that fit the bill. I spent a day at Tim Dahle Nissan getting jerked around and decided to venture down here to see what they could do for me knowing full well they had nothing on their lot that was within my parameters. Test drove a couple potential vehicles and ended up resorting to looking at the entire Ken Garff inventory. They found me a car in Riverdale and promptly sent a runner to drive the Vehicle down so I could test drive it. Long story short, I am in with my new vehicle right now getting initial service done and could not be happier. Car buying is not a fun process based on the fact that it is a huge commitment alone. These folks take a great deal of the sting out of the process by being as transparent and straightforward as possible. The other reviews and star ratings of this place speak for themselves. Salesmen I delt with were Edison and Brady. Sales Managers were Danny and Dave. Financing with Deb. Thank you all for another great car buying experience. I will absolutely be back.

Great experience working with Kenyon via the internet and phone. We discussed the vehicle, he took the time to video the car and send to me and share all the details I was interested in. We negotiated via text for most of the deal and I was thoroughly satisfied with the deal including negotiating my trade in via photos as well. I drove 850 miles so I could trade in and make the deal. Lady had nothing but excuses. Also, when I tried to call for an apology they called back later and she tried to get my credit card information. I bought my car here with the warranty that included fixing dents smaller than a silver dollar. I've tried three times (strike out) and still no scheduled repair in sight. The staff are friendly, and nice, but there is a MAJOR MISCOMMUNICATION on WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR INITIATING COVERAGE OF SAID WARRANTY... THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I'VE TRIED GETTING MY CAR FIXED. The first times were on the phone where I played phone tag between Ken Garff Ford and the body shop ACROSS THE ROAD. The second time I was even pushed up to a "higher representative", who apologized, said they would do research and call me back. They never did. I called back. THEY STILL DIDN'T KNOW. I drove to the dealership in person today hoping to get someone to look at it today, validate my warranty, and issue me papers to get it fixed. I WAS TOLD TO GO TO THE REPAIR SHOP. I drove to the repair shop. THEY TOLD ME TO GO BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND GET A P.O. I'm done with this treatment. I hope they read their reviews and get back to me a.s.a.p. I'm not here to fix their internal business warranty inadequacies and inane misunderstanding of their customer service when based on warranties. I was hoping someone would pick up a G*D D(*&MN PHONE and get a hold of someone immediately that mattered. I've made a large purchase. Don't let it haunt me and others I talk to. FIX THIS NOW PLEASE!

I gave them two stars because I feel that buying our two vehicles was a good experience. If I were to just rate the service department I would only be able to give them a negative star rating. I have been taking our vehicles here for many years now and never had a very awesome experience. But today was the last straw. I picked up one and dropped one off. When I went to pick up the second vehicle it was parked out in the west forty next to the freeway, parked over the curb in 4 wheel drive. Backing my truck out I thought I was going to bottom out. I also had to gun the heck out of it to get it up and over the curb. When I went in and toughly expressed my self they looked at me like I was smoking crack. And could care less. Not a we are sorry not a thing. I’m not one that looks for compensation or stupid things like this. But a simple we are sorry would have been great. I will never buy a vehicle here again just because of the service department and their lack of care for our vehicles. To add insults to injury they think it’s ok to change the radio station in a vehicle that doesn’t belong to them. If I were in the customer service industry and counted on repeat business. I would treat every thing and everyone with the upmost respect. Now I know not everyone can be pleased but you should attempt it.

If you take a vehicle in for a recall, go to a different ford location. They lie about the timeline for the repair (quoted 1/2 day and its now going to be 3 full days+), they have poor communication and when called to check in on the vehicle status and they told us they would call us back and they never did. All they care about are new customers instead of their existing ones. The employees we worked with were John and Karen. I’d try and avoid them and this location for anyone reading this. We will definitely be moving away from Ford for all future vehicle purchases.

Good experience but I was quoted the wrong price before coming in, wasn't told how long it would take to make it, and once I received the new key we had an issue with the old fob. I would go again and knowing these things I would ask more questions before popping in.

I am giving ken Garff Ford America one star review because I had the worst experience with the financial and salesman. I was trying to purchase a vehicle from them and they were very helpful and would communicate and even said I was approved and I even put a down payment. But after I signed the paperwork and then they completely changed. When I would call them to get a status on when I could pick up the vehicle all I got in response is a I’ll call you back in 5 minutes but they never return my calls. For like 4 days. I could not get a straight answer. So finally I got so frustrated I drove to the dealer and apparently they never got me approved. Witch I’m not mad about ,I know they cannot help that. But at least Return my calls. So I can know. And so they said they would send me the down payment in the mail. So I’m cool with that. So a week goes by and no check shows so of course calling them is so helpful I didn’t even bother with that I just drove to the dealership again and of course they forgot to send it. So I wait there until they finally bring me my check. Ps I noticed that all the ken Garff Ford adds say “we hear you”. But from my experience they hear you but don’t do dam thing about it.

My transaction was a very cut and dried set up. I had pre-arranged the truck that I wanted with extras done in the shop. I had two issues that I think could be resolved pretty easily. The first is that Ken Garf had my truck for a week, when I went to pick it up I had to wait a full hour for them to gas it up and clean it up and get it ready for me. I had arranged the schedule and it was not ready, the other issue is working with the accessories apartment Bill. He is a typical used car salesman type attitude toward people. Didn’t like my interactions with him.

I have NEVER been so frustrated with a service department. I bought a service package with my last vehicle from Ken Garff. I've tried to book an oil change with them 3 times in the past two weeks. Each time, they've called me two days before the scheduled time to reschedule me because they've "overbooked" or had a scheduling conflict. They never offer any sort of solution except another appointment that's weeks away or to "walk-in, which may take more than 45 minutes." For a company that is constantly saying that they "hear you," they definitely haven't tried very hard to hear me. SO frustrated.

I feel cheated and lied to. The truck I purchased was advertised as a clean one owner. Non-smoker. Less than 24 hours after purchasing the vehicle in found out the one owner was a rental company and there is a faint smell of tobacco smoke. I paid $2,000 more than a similar vehicle with 6,000 few miles, because this was a “clean one owner”.

I have had a 2016 Ford F-150 Platinum for a couple years now. Bought it used from another dealer with low miles and one owner. Great condition no problems I even took it to a mechanic! I overheated once about a year ago while still under warranty and took it to the ford dealer in Page, Arizona where I was. They told me I had a misfire and replaced a spark plug. Told me I would be good from then on. Drove back to American Fork area and on the way back the temps were very high (never hot enough to turn the check engine light on, but still ran hot). I talked to Ford American Fork everytime I went in for oil changes and service which were done at the Ford dealer while I owned it. Whenever I talked to them about it overheating they would tell me they didn't know why, but thats ok. A few months ago I even mentioned how it felt like it would not get gas and then get gas making it a little jumpy. I was told they couldn't get it to do that. Well nobody ever checked and a few weeks ago I found I had a cracked head gasket. I went into Ford and talked to everyone I could find about it and asked what to do. I was at 62k miles 2k over the warranty. Not a single person could help me or even talk to Ford about a solution on a $60k truck that's broken with 62k miles on it and I tow a 6500 pound boat 2x a year. This truck should easily handle this load. I was so disappointed that they just looked dumbfounded on what to do or how to help. I thought FORD would stand behind their trucks which are pitched as the best trucks on the road. They didn't do anything except tell me they could give me a really low offer on it. I loved my F-150, but this has put a sour taste in my mouth for a long time.

I had a terrible experience with John, the service advisor. My car is under warranty and I brought it in for service after having trouble with the transmission. After waiting patiently for over an hour, John at the service desk told me that they could not "duplicate" the problem, and so they could not run a diagnostic or help me in anyway. When I asked him to look up a previous problem I had in the ford system, he told me he didn't have access. I took my car to another ford dealer. They immediately looked up the previous problem without me asking. They called me the next day explaining that they ran diagnostics and saw error codes, meaning there could be a problem with the sensor. John treated me like I was stupid, made me wait around, and offered no help in any way. I do not recommend this for location for service.

While the purchase of my truck was very smooth and painless, it has cost me ever since. In the first month I had my truck, I had to make about 5 trips to the dealership and was without my truck most of that month. The service department was not competent enough to fix the truck they had just sold me. I finally had to take my truck elsewhere to finish the repair. the salesmen that sold me the truck and warranty were nowhere to be found after the sale was made. The only thing more frustrating than Ken Garff is their Kornerstone warranty. I purchased a "comprehensive" warranty, only to find out that they will deny coverage on just about anything. My personal favorite was a failed part that was not covered because I stated that I could hear it rattle. They said that "rattles" are not covered. They were not concerned with the fact that that the service tech found it coming apart. When I tried to address the reason it was rattling, that was not important to them. Their only concern was that rattles are not covered and so they did not have to pay for the repair. They also told me that I needed to wait for it to completely fail before I could get coverage. That because I caught the problem before it completely failed, they did not have to cover it. These are actual responses from Kornerstone. Unfortunately for Ken Garff and Kornerstone, they have since lost the sale of at least 10 trucks because of the way they handled these issues. Hopefully you are able to avoid these problems too by avoiding Ken Garff

I’m super impressed with the great service I received. Everyone from the receptionist to the service advisors were friendly, helpful and simply awesome. In particular I want to give a shout out to the service advisor Nate for going above and beyond to turn a bad situation into a positive experience. I can be a hard critic. Yesterday we were on our way to go boating for my wife’s birthday. We had the boat hooked up to the truck and were just pulling out of the gas station when the power steering went out. I called Larry H Miller Ford first because they were closer and explained the situation, and the person I talked to had no compassion and would not do anything more than telling me I needed to schedule an appointment to talk with a service advisor. I then called Ken Garff. They immediately expressed empathy for our situation and found an advisor who could immediately help us. Nate, our advisor was super helpful. He took our information and said he would look into our options and call me right back, which he did. He then helped me arrange a tow truck. When they got the truck back to the dealership Nate called and explained that he could arrange a rental. He took great care of us, but the thing that is the most impressive is that he immediately got service working on the repair. The next day (today) I got a call that my truck was fixed and ready for pickup. I was shocked because it was a pretty major repair (steering rack and pinion). They just got it done, washed the truck, did a warranty repair, and we are good to go. When we picked the truck up they asked my wife how her birthday turned out. Impressive. I really appreciate this level of professionalism!

I’ve been to a lot of repair shops and NEVER have been screwed over like I was here. Charged me $75 to loosen two screws to take the back row of seats out. Charged me $187.50 to replace the latch of the sliding door (and I provided the part). I thought (stupid of me), that they would do these things as a courtesy as I was getting my oil changed and breaks switched out. I will NEVER come here again, and neither should you. Oh, and they left their greasy finger prints all over my doors.

I took my car in recently to have a steering gear fixed that went out on my fusion, which ended up being a pretty expensive fix which I was okay with. Two days later the same problem happened and I had to take it back in and they said the new part they put in was faulty as well so they had to change it. Now fast forward two more days and it has now happened again after a supposed fix. I am tired of having to miss work to bring my car if for something that was supposedly fixed the first time.

This is for Ford Service not sales. I actually like the sales guys there. That's how bad their service department is. I initially scheduled time with Ford online to have two issues resolved. The vacuum pump (power brakes) and transmission speed sensor programming. Both were under extended warranty and it wasn't causing any real issues... just the brakes were a little hard from time to time. I understood initially why that was rejected. The programming of the speed sensor if that didn't work the issue would result in the transmission lead frame replacement. Well, the speed sensor programming caused the transmission to shift so hard that I thought for sure I had been hit. It happened on the freeway, pulling out of parking lots, slowing down, really any time the transmission downshifted or moved from first through third gear. I called and was told give the programming a chance to catch up and figure out how you drive. Drive it a few hundred miles they said. I was ok with that answer. Everything is computer operated and learning is required sometimes so I drove it a few hundred miles. I called again and said the issue is better but, it still persists at slower speeds. Think pulling through a parking lot and having your transmission shift so hard you think were just rear ended. That's what it was like. I call a few more times and the answer was always drive it out. I figured I was stuck with it and I needed my truck to get to and from work so I drove it out. I drove it a lot to be honest with you. By the third time they told me to drive it out I only had 40-50 miles left on the extended warranty and I drove. I brought my truck in on 8/1/2019 and was way over. I thought I'd ask if the warranty would be extended and I suspected it wouldn't be and I was right. I wasn't so bothered by that. The brake issue was consistently an issue with hard brakes at start up and randomly throughout the day. The transmission was shifting hard still while moving around parking lots. The bill for the transmission fix was roughly 708 dollars and the vacuum pump fix was 753 ish dollars. I found this out through my wife. I'd call the service writer and out of 7 or 8 calls I had 1 answered. The way it worked for me is I would call, leave a message with name and phone number asking for a call back and because my wifes car was also on file she would get the call. So I'd get a text saying John with Ken Garff called here's the situation. I'd call back to make arrangements, ask questions, or find out how things were diagnosed and go to voice mail where I would again leave my name and phone number for a call back. This went on for days. Long story short I couldn't get any answers for how things were diagnosed or why things needed to be replaced for so much money unless I prepared a list of questions and expected answers for my wife to ask while they were talking... I just couldn't get a call back. I hooked my scanner tool up to the truck and had 0 codes thrown so I was really curious how they diagnosed the problems. When I was told about the 1500 dollar price tag for repairs I was less than pleased and because I could never get through to John I said I would pick up my truck for a second opinion. Again because I couldn't get through to John and John would only call my wife I was told the 80 dollar diagnostic fee applied even though I told them what I thought was wrong and they wrote it up based on my assumptions. the 80 dollar fee was waived and I am happy about that. That's the one star they earned... (Plus google doesn't let you do half stars) I was dead wrong on the transmission and I fixed the vacuum pump issue myself in less than 45 minutes (250 dollars in labor saved there). I took the truck to a transmission shop and they confirmed what I knew about no codes being thrown and they actually dropped the pan to confirm there wasn't any metal in the pan. It was amazing. This other company did actual diagnosis. Ford didn't and wanted my 1500 dollar check.

Bought a vehicle from the dealer on 1/5/2019, by the 9th I found the vehicle had a burned out tail light, the driver side window controls couldn't roll up the passenger window and the sunroof couldn't be closed if it were opened as well as paint issues that were hidden by the vehicle being washed/wet when they showed it to me. I've tried for weeks to get with someone and have them fix the sunroof and door switch as I did just spend 18k dollars and have been given the run around by many different people. Will never work with this dealer again. Unsure of how these things were missed in a basic inspection.

Bad service department! We dropped off my 2012 Ford Focus at 7 AM to look at a shifting issue, they never even looked at it for 5 1/2 hours and they never called me about not being able to look at it. Wasted an entire day. I called 3 separate times between 10 AM and noon, said they would have someone call me back but they never even did that. I had to keep calling. I made the appointment 2 weeks before I dropped it off and they still did not have anyone look at it. DO NOT get your vehicle serviced at this dealership!!! And if you plan on buying a car from them realize this is the type of service department you will deal with.

We purchased a used 2017 Expedition two months ago. We came home with a car covered in water spots even though they told us they would clean them off before we took it. The back seat had a rip in it and they assured us that they would fix it as well as a few other things. Two months later and they still have not fixed it even though we signed a contract saying they would fix it. Every time we call to ask when the parts will be ready they say they will call us back in 10 minutes and we don't hear back from them for an hour and have to call them back. This has been going on for weeks. Today my husband took the car in for our scheduled appointment to put the parts in and they told him they had actually not arrived and would be in in 10 days! That is what they told me 2 weeks ago! That the parts would be in in 10 days. It seems to me they didn't even order them in the first place. I am so fed up with them and will never buy a car from Ken Garff American Fork Ford again!

I’ve purchased from this store before, but this time things were different. Spent two different days here trying to make something happen. Brady was great and the most consistently positive car salesman I’ve dealt with. I really wanted to work with him as my salesperson. However two separate managers including the floor manager and the GSM both ended up really rubbing me wrong. Started out good but once they realized my budget didn’t match up to the truck and that I was going to increase my budget by $200plus/month, the one manager tried to make me feel stupid. The second manager did something else that I felt was very unbecoming and could hurt relationships. I wish this would have been a more positive review because initially it felt like they really were doing all they could to earn my business. If it wasn’t for Brady this would be a 1 Star.

Shady Shady Shady, just look at all of the bad reviews. They were so dishonest. They quoted my repair at over 900 dollars when it really only cost me 300 after asking for a lower price. They also quoted me 800 for a part that only cost me 75 bucks on eBay. When I went to pick up my car they tacked on an additional 300 in fees. I called them out, and they begrudgingly changed the price back to the agreed price. Don't get taken advantage of, it's worth just going somewhere else. They have lost my business forever.

I won’t sugar coat it, buying a new car can be a brutal experience. And even under the best of circumstances, it is a stressful and annoying. The team at Ken Garff Ford in American Fork did a great job of dealing with that. Dustin Warner helped me choose a vehicle, and he was great. If you are going to test drive a truck there, ask for him. He is a different kind of salesperson who is much more effective than the traditional car salesman. Kris Talbot also helped me finalize the sale and he was great and willing to stay late to take care of me. Debbie Olsen was the finance manager when I was there and she was much better than the usual finance person. Usually, dealer finance people pressure you like crazy and make you feel stupid. But Debbie wasn’t like that. She was awesome. She also stayed late to help me out. The Ken Garff dealerships have taken great care of me more than once, and my experience with them was vastly better than their main (movie-specialist) competitor that I won’t name.

I took my 2014 Ford Escape to this location because my ABS light, Brake light and traction control light suddenly came on and would not shut off, my speedometers stopped working and my steering was very tight. They called with the diagnosis that it was my ABS module and Body harness, just that they were not computing correctly. I had them call my warranty company and they told them they failed because of water and corrosion. Surprise surprise warranty company does not waver corrosion or water damage. I was told it would be over 4 grand to get these fixed. I asked them are you sure it is due to water? The guy went and spoke to the mechanic and when he returned he told me it COULD be from water or battery acid. (you can not tell the difference)I hung up and immediately called my warranty company to make sure it was alright to get a second opinion seeing how they kept saying it COULD be from this but not that is was positively from water/battery acid (and the fact they can not tell the difference had me worried) I took my car to my regular mechanic, he pulled the code and it was a speed sensor, that is it! He did test for any water but alas there was none! the sensor was just working properly, it did not even need to be changed, all they did was reset the codes and my car was good to go. I would think you should start with the simplest problem and work your way up to the more serious issues instead of being greedy and trying to get the big bucks right off. I think it was very dishonest.

I prepaid for a package of 3 oil changes and tire rotations. When I purchased this package I was never told about an amount of time that was needed to use what I had already paid for. When I called to set up my third oil change I was told it had expired and even though I had already paid I could not use the oil change/tire rotation. It's not a lot of money, but to take my money, not explain a time frame to use it and then just basically tell me tough, there is nothing we can do about it feels a bit like theft. As trivial as it may seem, I feel like I was tricked into prepaying for service without proper explanation and over an oil change and tire rotation all Ken Garff dealerships will never have my business and I will be sure to share my experience with as many as possible.

I don't think I've ever left their service department feeling like a job was done well, quickly and at a good price. Had the tires inspected and rotated and was told they were all good. Brought it back in after noticing tire road noise and suddenly they all needed to be replaced. Had oil changes take hours even though I had an appointment. Had to pay $90 labor to get a new key fob paired to the vehicle despite the parts guy who sold me the fob saying it would be $65. Service managers are generally friendly, but don't respond to texts or emails.

Always a great experience, best Ford dealer in the SLC area. Their service department is quick, friendly, and knowledgeable. Most service departments seem to have the attitude that they’re doing you a favor. Not so here. I have not had the pleasure of purchasing from them, but I wouldn’t hesitate.

My Ford Musty 2007 has been running smoothly for almost two years, since I got it from them. Well, not exactly. It was dirtier that I'd like, and it took me a while to clean it all completely out and I ended up replacing all carpeting because the old was just filthy. But for car with 80K miles it was pretty good. Now at 100k miles, it looks brand new. It just takes work. Then I had a nice gushing coolant fountain, it took me a while to figure it out, where the hole was and what part needed replacing, so I just was buying gallons of coolant while I was fixing it. Then alternator broke, had to replace that. Stranded me in a parking lot. Had it fixed next morning with autozone parts. Now I have another problem still haven't figured it out, but I'll get to it. Just a check engine light, some glitched sensor, but it drives alright. The most annoying problem I had with this car was broken power seat. And that is kind of my fault, I had to take out seats to install carpet, it gave a ghost after that. Let me tell you replacing a seat track is a pain in every part of the body. Plus I had to paint it too, because it was from a rusty salvage car. Cost me only 100$ in part, but so much work. I'd rather have manual seats, less useless junk to break. As far as buying experience. They are good at communicating through the purchasing process. The downside they are a little sneaky, and somehow managed to wedge in a 300$ fee into my contract along with 150$ worth of overpriced oil changes. At least oil changes I used and they do have a good service center. The 300$ fee was basically for a tracking number to be engraved into a glass. I don't even know where it is supposedly engraved on my car. Just pay attention to all the fees and take your time to read through and you won't fall into the same trap. They are salesman after all. Came here on a Friday afternoon, wanted to check out a raptor, the guy told me that I couldn’t even test drive it because they didn’t want to put miles on the car. If this was a lambo or Ferrari I wold understand but it’s a raptor. I guess I’ll take my money to a different ford dealership

We knew exactly the car we wanted. Sales guy was great. Already had our financing secured through America First. Finance guy said we could do all the paperwork through him and would be the same application we already had. Gave him AF contact and reference number. Liar liar pants on fire. He did a whole new application and ran it. Our contact at AF didn't get her credit for the pre-approved loan we already had. Never trust ANY finance guy at these dealerships!!
