The almond croissant was good and it puffed so nicely but it seemed like they added to much almond paste and dipped it in some kind of candy shell. You could not taste the croissant only the filling and candy coating. Minus that it was good.

Exceptional Cuban meat pie. Not the typical smaller, little amount of meat pastelito type. This one was an award winning version. I am Cuban born and have eaten them in Miami, Greater Los Angeles. The taste, the texture, and size was phenomenal. I'm glad I live in Phoenix and it's far away from me. Otherwise I'd be here way too often. Congratulations!

The attention to detail is absolutely amazing. The owner will come out and meet you, make sure that you are comfortable, and introduce you to his flavors. The level of quality of EVERYTHING is 5 star level. Even the way they package the desserts. Every dessert that we have tried has exploded with flavor. Tried this bakery for the first time today, but it will not be my last. I got four items to share at a party, the dulce de leche churro cruffin, the kouing amann, the strawberry tres leche roll, and the peanut butter scone. The cruffin was good, the cream inside is Rich and smooth, it would be hard to eat the whole thing and not get overwhelmed, but the three bites I had were great. The scone was dark and dense and the peanut butter did not take over like I thought it might. I liked it a lot, best with a glass of milk though. The amann was my favorite. The subtle sweetness, the crisp texture and buttery pastry...yes please. The strawberry roll though was the favorite... everything you love about tres leches but taken up a notch. The server was super nice and everything looked amazing. Can't wait to go back.

The people working in here are so nice! My husband and I got a free macaroon for our first visit! We got a loaf of sourdough bread and they sliced it for me. The bread was delicious! We also got a Pain Au Chocolate (?) Pastry and it was amazing. We visit each week.

This place stole my heart since day one. I remember around 2014 when Chef Adalberto was kind enough to create a delicious and beautiful cake for a special event. Regardless of the last minute call he put a lot of love on that cake and I will never forget it. You have got to try the cuban meat pie (You are welcome). The macaroons are to die for and the desserts speak for themselves. The staff members are friendly and you can tell they are proud of their job.

If there is one thing I’m passionate about it’s passion fruit desserts. This place makes some of the best tasting desserts. My favorites are the Key Lime and Passion Fruit Cheesecakes. Their Guava cake is a close second, or third as the case may be. I could do without the little cookie balls around the perimeter. Aside from that these desserts are perfect. I think they have tried to make their macrons stand out from other bakeries by putting some jelly in the center and I would prefer it without. I’m sure that’s just a matter of personal preference and, if we are being honest, it hasn’t stopped me from eating them. It feels a little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for and these are definitely worth it.

We originally decided to go here because we saw the owner on the food Network and loved him for how happy and sweet he seemed. He was the first person we encountered when we went in. He was so sweet and nice in person too. We got a Cruffin, cheesecake and Macorons. All of them were amazing. I also love that you can see them baking and there isn't a full wall that prevents you from seeing where it's prepared. Great environment, friendly staff and amazing food!

If you're reading this review, stop now and go to filings and emulsions! Best macaroons I've ever had, by a long shot. We got 8 assorted flavors, salted caramel was the best of the ones we tried, pineapple and espresso next. I'll be stopping in again whenever I'm in salt lake city again. Did I mention they have other treats? Mostly pastries and cakes. The croissants are tasty, especially the almond croissants.

I tried a variety of their savory and sweet things, and they were all delicious. I've been to many SLC bakeries, and this one is definitely memorable. You won't be disappointed.

Fillings and Emulsions features carefully curated pastries, cookies, and cakes. Top notch. There is little by way of interior dining space or ambiance, as it is mostly a kitchen with a display case and cash register. Take your macarons and croissants elsewhere to savor.

This is by far the best bakery in Utah, probably the best in the Southwestern states, and perhaps among the best in the country. The customer service is impeccable, and the seating areas are lovely, but the baked goods themselves are something else. They are sublime. They defy description. Definite yes! This place has great desserts. We tried their Scone, Key lime cheesecake, Bourbon pecan tart, pistachio and blueberry macaroons and they all tasted great. And the macaroons are free for first timers, so definitely try out. The staff was real friendly too. But be sure to call them to see if they have a lot of options available, we went in Saturday afternoon and they were out of most stuff.

YUM!!! Everything I have had here has been over the top decadent and delicious. They have this chocolate mint mousse stuff only around the holidays and it is absolutely to die for. The prices are higher, but the quality is evident and I don't have a problem with it.

I love this place, with its French roots and cuban influence its a regular spot for me. when I visit I always get a macaroon no matter what and a cuban coffee, beware the cuban coffee is strong and bitter but good if you have the taste for it,. my favorite thing from there is the crufin, the dulce de leche filled middle and the light flaky pastry is just the perfect combo. I would recommend and re-visit

I’ve been looking for a place that would sell baguettes that are not soggy, not burnt (like the ones at Harmon’s) and not doughy. Fillings & Emulsions makes PERFECT baguettes just like the ones I had at the best bakeries in Paris. Light, airy, with a crust baked to perfection which gives it an amazing flavor. Their desserts look like works of art and they are to die for. My favorite is the key lime cheesecake. Customer service is outstanding. I’ll definitely be back! Worth the trip from Orem.

Went with a friend who wanted to try this bakery. I hand a Chocolate cake that was quite good, they also had complementary berry water.. It's a nice clean location and the staff was quite friendly. It's a bit hard to see from the road if you are approaching from the north as the sign on the building is obscured by a tree.

Everyone needs to go here!!! This is a business is love to see succeed. They were overly kind, and tried to make you feel special. The desserts in the counter were the prettiest, most fancy, reasonably priced desserts I have seen. I am not normally a macaroon kind of a gal, but the vanilla salted caramel was to die for. Please stop dipping the pain au in chocolate on one half. It’s too much chocolate. I crave a traditional pain au chocolat with two rows of chocolate inside and none on the outside. Please. Ordered a box of Chef Al's WONDERFUL Cuban meat pies after seeing them on Food Network Bake You Rich. These are such a great meal for a pair of retirees...quick, delicious, pair with a little salad and I'm a happy Grandma. As a diabetic, I don't eat sweets, or carbs in quantity. I don't know why you want to partner with Buddy the "cake boss" but you must have a reason. Shipping costs on these are WAY over the top. Buddy has shops near me, but they all seem to have very poor customer ratings. Wish they would stock these for local purchase in a frozen state. Meanwhile, thank you, Chef All for these yummy meat pies!

Crazy good taste and friendly staff. As I recall they are only open earlier in the day, but if you get the chance stop by when they are open you will find everything delightful. I also believe they do catering.

Simply put, amazing. Staff is very friendly and genuine, and the food is outstanding. The pasteries are great and the meat pies are insanely good. The only negative thing is their prices are a little on the steep side. However, I feel their service and product quality more than make up for it. I highly recommend checking out Fillings and Emulsions (everything I've had is fantastic, but the meat pies are a must).

Personally to say, I think this is the best bakery in SLC. and it has the best Macaron that I have so far. and the owner of the bakery is very nice! and it has ice cream, Macaron, cakes, and bread. and I think all of those are very good. worth to try!!

The food here is amazing. I highly recommend the baguette with real asiago. The tarts, croisants, macaroons, everything was flavoured well. Alberto is friendly and very skilled at his craft. He also gave some amazing food recommendations for around town. If you are in SLC and you don't eat here, then it is you loss.

I visited F&E for the first time and FINALLY a decent pastry shop in Utah valley! We bought a few desserts: thr cheesecakes are painfully gorgeous. I feel bad eating them they are crafted beautifully. Macarons were gorgeous and they even gave my child a free sample. The pain au chocolate and croissant were delicious and crackly. Bread was good...not quite as porous as Harmons if you are picky. But still tasty. I am just happy that Provo finally has a decent pastry shop. We were lacking.

Ever since we saw Aldaberto on the Food Networks baking challenge we knew we had to try his creations!!! We just happen to make a trip out to Salt Lake City and went here to grab some desserts!!!!! OUT OF THIS WORLD AMAZINGLY FLAVORFUL!!!! We got a strawberry cheesecake, chocolate cake, chocolate pots de creme and a big box of macaroons!! You have to try these desserts!!! The strawberry cheesecake has real strawberry flavoring, not just a strawberry extract! The chocolate pots de creme is so smooth and rich with a lovely raspberry filling on top that just takes the dessert to a whole nother level!!! The macaroons are so light and beautiful in color bursting with flavor!!! The store is tucked in next to another business but you must try these desserts!!! We missed the owner just leaving as we came in so I hope we can catch him tomorrow so my 8 year old and I can meet him!! Hands down must try!!!! Not yo me tion the staff is beyond helpful, patient, and so friendly!!!! Customer service is awesome!!!

I was told about this place during a conference & had to visit after learning they make macrons, which I absolutely LOVE. Upon going in you can see them making some of their beautiful creations in the open bakery and I was quickly greeted at the counter where I was drooling over my choices. The customer service was fabulous! While getting the items I selected, the employee told me they ship them & found out how much it would cost when I inquired. The Chef was also kind enough to indulge my brief fan girl moment when I recognized him. The pumpkin roll was fabulous and I can't wait to delve into the macarons when I get home. Highly recommend!
