This Bakery is classified in the category of Coffee shop.
Absolutely love this place for coffee and to chill! Good prices, please make sure to tip. BEST COFFEE IN TOWN. my opinion
I can spend hours and hours here. Lovely service, great coffee selections and freshly baked pastries. It is great to see the owners of that place early in the morning helping out their employees. I have met many incredibly talented people. Never feels lonely. Such a wonderful place not only to join your coffee drink but to socialize. Always happy to see Baz and Miles.
Locals enjoy the coffee from this place and although I don't drink coffee I agree with them. I personally love to visit this place for their delicious quiche, eclair and macaroons!!
I have studied here at least every month for the past four years. As someone who has regularly been to almost every coffee shop in the valley, this is one of the best coffee shops in Salt Lake City. Their selection of quality coffee and tea is numerous, and their pastries are always fresh and delicious. They even have gluten-free donuts, which are honestly to-die-for. The atmosphere is rich, cozy, and classy, with beautiful but non-intrusive classical music playing in the background, which makes an ideal study environment. However, the two downsides to the Coffee Garden are the incredibly slow wifi, even on the PWFast wifi, and the frequent lack of seating, as this is an incredibly popular place (not always a bad thing). Despite these downsides, I still give this coffee shop five stars for overall quality.
Wonderful desserts! Coffee is made well and reasonably priced. Staff is always kind and smiling. Its -1 ☆ because it gets crowded and some people stay for hours. The younger crowd can be loud and disruptive so I do not stay to drink/eat. I've tried and the atmosphere both times just does not relax me.
College students oriented. Although, you see all ages there. Late night coffee and treats. That’s the place.
I love the classical music that's always played
really enjoyed this spot, large area for seating indoor and outdoor. great prices and friendly staff. would recommend
I love this place is so comfortable they have really nice costumer service! I recommend this place a 100%
The iced chai wad really yummy. There is plenty of seating inside and out. They allow dogs on the patio.
This is the second time I have been here during my stay and I would have to say it is a staple now when I am in SLC! Great options, friendly staff ji matter what time of day and fantastic atmosphere!
Plenty of room and lots of fun people watching. They have good drinks and some food. Parking is minimal but they have some in the back if you can't find anything on the street.
one of my favorite coffee shops and great coffee, but i can't count on their internet :/
By far my favorite coffee shop in SLC.
Cool environment there's a lot of seating. Coffee is good. They have really good macaroons. A lot of teas also.
Awesome atmosphere, great staff, and good coffee. What more could you ask for?
I love the coffee garden so much!
Amazing coffee with amazing prices! The vibe is what you would expect from most coffee shops these days. Highly recommend grabbing the coffee to go and checking out Cahoots right next door!
Fun atmosphere and good treats. Gets a little crowded sometimes
My favorite coffee place. Friendly staff that remember what you like. High quality beans and coffee.
Some of the best coffee in the valley. Great staff, lots of options, locally owned and operated. What more could you ask for?
I've had a good few lattes here and I really enjoy sitting around. I do wish the seating was a little more comfy, but that is just me and my bad back.
Very well served drip coffee; aromatic and nice after taste.
Great place for a cup of coffee in SLC
I have been going to the Coffee Garden for many years. I always enjoy the ambience, the music, the people and I especially love that they have an 8oz coffee for those who love coffee but don't need and more than that.
Fabulous shot in the dark! If you need
I just love this place, fun environment and if it's warm enough patio seating.
Delicious drinks and cool atmosphere. The store connected to the cafe area is cool, too.
Great staff, nice outdoor seating.
Good, but always crowded... I guess that’s a good sign right? :)
Nice place to grab a coffee or even a bite toeat
High Quality coffee and teas, amazing staff and chill vibes
Good atmosphere, friendly and had good coffee. Great place to hangout with some friends, go on a date and chat, meet up with some buddies to study, or just do some work by yourself and even read a book. Prices were good and the coffee in my opinion is better than Starbucks, but I'm not a huge coffee guy in general so don't take my word for it.
Best coffee in the area. Environment and patrons, not so much. I still go only because no one can duplicate their lattes!
You can’t sign a credit card receipt here without tipping. A little entitled if you ask me. I tip cash but makes me not want to tip at all since it’s expected. I’ll go to amour instead.
Pretty great coffee and in a nice area. Can definitely get busy but it's a fun little coffee shop.
This place is always packed with students & friends hanging out. In the summer people bring their dogs & sit outside. Music can be loud sometimes, but not very distracting to me. Their bakery variety is amazing & all sweets they offer are very tasty. Their coffee is great and they have other hot & cold drinks to select from. Do not be surprised if you go & don’t find a seat available specially inside.
Visiting from Florida. Excellent coffee and a great selection of fresh baked goods. Nice views of the mountains and downtown too!
Love the fast paced energy here and it’s a great location! The wifi is slow and it’s often hard to find a table though.
Staff was not welcoming or friendly, and seemed like they were at the end of a long shift and didn’t care who saw it. Didn’t even say hello. Iced chai was tasty however.
The wifi is so bad I was trying to open a picture and it took 3 minutes, I tried the cappuccino and it had a weird taste in it, I ordered the coffee cake and it tasted like eggs, the only good thing here is the decoration.
A great place to meet friends.
One of the oldest coffee places in town. A cool vibe and location. Always super busy, so give yourself extra time to park and order if you have somewhere else to be.
I ordered a cup of tea to drink along with a caprese which I enjoyed as well. I liked that the cup of tea came with the pot to refill at my convenience. Good atmosphere as well.
An old local favorite still paying attention to detail and quality. Sometimes the line looks a little long, but they’re fast and good at what they do. The tea selection is just big enough to offer a dizzying selection without being overwhelming, and they make maybe the best cappuccino in town.
Love this place! The service, quality of drinks, and desserts are so yummy! It's got a quaint, eclectic, chill vibe...
Good place to chill. I feel like the employees really want to know the customers. Drinks were good.
This review is specifically for the Moka Java drip coffee. At $1.68 for a large own cup, it's the best bang for your coffee buck in SLC. (If I'm missing one, please let me know).
Excellent pecan roll, fast WiFi
Awesome place to hang out or get some work done. Not the best coffee, but they have better hours than most shops in town.
Freaking amazing. Must experience for yourself! Friendly staff and AMAZING coffee♡ LOVE IT
The chai tea and pastries are amazing
Love coming here for a good iced chai latte, although it’s always crowded here.
I drink coffee all day everyday. I just love coffee and this place is such a great atmosphere and such friendly staff i love stopping here. Give yourself a min to be there cause they can be busy but its worth the wait and they make sure you leave with a smile.
Excellent place for coffee. They usually have 3 different types of drip coffee, all from Ibis coffee roasters. Can be tricky to get a seat, since it is usually busy. Good selection of baked goods also. Nice ambience. This place has character.
Coffee garden is one of my favorite places in SLC for coffee / tea / pastries. Everything is delicious, there is a wide selection, the staff are all very helpful and nice, and it’s reasonably priced for a local upscale cafe. My only gripe with coffee garden is that it is a struggle to find seats nearly any time of the day. It’s nice for the people who come to study for 2 hours, but it’s sucks for everyone else, because you either just have to stand or wait for somebody to leave. Seriously I would not hate if they limited most of the dining room to 30m only because it is one of the things that pushes me away from this place. Maybe it’s time they considered another location? Despite the seating issue, it’s still a great atmosphere and the food and drinks themselves are always perfect.
10/10. I come for the coffee but stay for the atmosphere. They have quite a big selection: everything coffee, espresso, teas, desserts, and even small bites to eat. Their coffee is solid, teas are great, and desserts are also pretty good. Location is amazing. A great place to hangout!
Don't expect to find a seat inside. Nice ambiance and food. Nice part of town too.
It’s sooooo good I love their macarons and their iced chais. My favorite drinks in winter is their peppermint hot chocolate and their chai latte
One of the better coffee stops in town. Always good!
It is delicious. Has a great menu. I love the music when I am working. I wish there were more plugs but other than that it is perfect
Found that I could study effectively. Only knock is the lack of healthy snacks.
Great place great food and excellent coffee
My favorite coffee place of all the time. So far in Utah. I love the peppermint mocha and their pastries. Great service too. Great for coffee date, doing homework or assignment.
Very clean and cute little spot! They have a great menu selection and multiple different pastries to go with your coffee!
Overall 5 stars, sometimes 4. I like my recognized baristas, love the (delicious pastry selection), and generally really*really love the taste of my drinks. Usually clean, easy to find (9th&9th), patio Unideal parking situation
It's our go to coffee place. Lots of variety of drinks and pastries. It's just so busy at night most of the times with students occupying most tables.
Great coffee and service, busy, fun atmosphere
Pretty great place. Cheapest cup of actually good black coffee in town as long as you bring your own mug! Give you a free coffee if you buy beans. Workers there are super cool. Love the music, really great selection. Just dont forget to bring your apple computer and beanie (especially in the summer), otherwise people will shoot you dirty looks. ;)
Lovely vibe, rarely a place to sit inside (cause so many love it) and they serve the best coffee ever--Caffe Ibis. The staff is also super friendly and the building inside is GORGEOUS. I love to visit here!! Dogs have to be leashed on the patio and no pets are allowed inside. There are tables as well as seating for people working/studying alone. They're environmentally aware, which I really appreciate, and it's so relaxing to sit and drink outside. :)
I have had nothing but good experiences here. Good cup of coffee Everytime. Very consistent in that aspect which is a huge deal to me. I hate going to a coffee shop regularly and getting inconsistent results. Also, their sugar cookies are some of the best around. Give it a try sometime if you're if the neighborhood.
This has a fabulous assortment of teas and coffee drinks plus delicious pastries. It's a fun environment with small intimate tables. It has the best scones in town!! The main drawback is the crowded conditions during the high traffic moments. The best time to visit is Sunday mornings. However, many of the pastries are gone by mid-morning.
Good food and good service :)
Good selection, but I was looking for Costa Rican. Not in stock, and the guy helping was ambiguous as to whether there would be any coming. Bought Guatemalan. Good flavor.
God vibe, decent coffee, great pastries
Had a realy good coffee.
A hidden gem! Not your ordinary coffee joint. The BEST quiche in the valley. I have tried some of the other delicious baked items and have not been disappointed. The place is always busy despite spacious inside and out seating. Grab a table and then hurry and get in line. The service is fast and friendly. Although I live 20 miles away, I always try to get to this place as often as I can.
It came highly recommend, it was cute in a fun area with a good vibe! Very busy but still had great staff and fast service!
A decades-long favorite coffeehouse. It is known by virtually everybody in the area. If by chance you're not familiar with the coffee garden, I highly recommend to visit. It's sister shop is called cahoots with access through the coffee garden. between the two you'll have a wonderful experience.
Its busy but worth the wait. Great service and snacks. I like their frozen tea and the banana nut bread. The coffee is also amazing. Great blends.
Great coffee and atmosphere. Always friendly.
Always great, friendly staff. Open later, which is nice
Great coffee and pastries and the counter staff has always been nice. It can get really busy there and parking is limited, so be mindful of that.
Nice place! It is like a Starbucks, but with a warmer environment. I went for a meeting there, so I did not try their products, but the environment, the accommodations, and the wi-fi were cool.
Delicious & friendly & a great atmosphere
Cool diverse environment. Good coffee. The quiche is very good.
coffee here is unrivaled, food is good, atmosphere is gross
We spent $40 on 3 drinks and 2 croissants...I got a latte but all it was was milk & so I asked to get a new one with less milk & she charged me another $5
Good price and good tasting coffee but the Wi-Fi sucks
Good coffee good service good atmosphere
my favorite place!
Great service, fantastic coffee, and a good location.
Latte with cream! Delicious!! Dirty chia was amazing, too.
Great coffee and a great tea selection. Even when they seem super busy they’ll get your drinks ready ridiculously quick. I tried a frozen mocha and I loved it. They’ve also got some gluten free macarons which were super tasty.
Good coffee and baked items. The environment is nice, but usually very busy and tough to find a table. Don't bother bringing your laptop as the multiple wifi connections get flooded after more than 3 people connect. Great place to enjoy conversation though.
Extremely classy place to grab a quick bite to eat, enjoy some coffee, and get some work done while listening to classical music. The friendly staff and the amazing coffee selections make it all the better.
I thoroughly enjoyed the original coffee garden. One of the best.
Love this place but always way too busy! Needs more seating. Several times I've come in with friends and we ended up going to another shop due to no available space.
I love studying and or reading here. I recommend the iced chai tea. It tastes amazing.
Friendly staff and prompt service. Bacon and onions quiche was delicious with a side roll. Busy little coffee shop with a great selection of pastries and coffee Very clean bathroom
such a wonderful coffee house
I think it's hilarious how utahrds pronounce "macchiato". It often sounds like "match a Cheeto" or "macha audio". The best is "macaca hiato" which I translated as "taking a monkey break". I thought the dude who said it was smart and funny until I figured out he was stupid and hilarious.
This place is everything. I'm a complete addi----I mean, loyal customer.
The coffee here is amazing and the employees and baristas are always super nice. It is often certain crowded and difficult to a place to sit down, and the WiFi is spotty at best. But if you manage to snag a seat, the atmosphere is awesome.
Great eclectic atmosphere- fabulous fresh baked items. Excellent tea selection. I'm a fan. Free Internet.
I like it because it's next fto Cahoots
Great place for a quick bite. It is pretty popular so always crowded. They have scrummy desserts.
What a great discovery! This place came recommended from a friend who lives locally, and wow was she right! Friendly staff, great coffee and food, and really awesome latte art! It IS pretty crowded but it was a Saturday so I’m sure that’s normal. Best place to park is on the street if you can find a space.
Great place to study, catch up with friends, or just relax and enjoy a nice cup of coffee. I’ve never had something there that I didn’t like! Can’t go wrong. Parking can be tricky at times, but that’s all of 9th&9th, and I love that area!
Only downfall to this place is finding a seat since it’s so loved! Good service, good drinks, great environment for visiting a friend or working on projects
I LOVE coffee garden, guys. I made a terrible mistake and left a terrible review that was meant for GREENHOUSE EFFECT. Have a choice? Come here. Every time.
Great coffee, love the 9th and 9th location, it can be hard to find a place to sit in the winter.
I love coming to the coffee garden for a huge delicious cup of hot cappuccino "for here" to catch up on work. Not quite overpriced, and it's a very relaxed place with plenty of room in the front and back areas to get my own table. Also, every experience I've had with the staff was friendly. Recently I haven't been able to avoid buying a slice of some house-made strawberry hibiscus pie--some of the tastiest pie I have ever tasted.
Big blonde female barista was rude, the coffee was mediocre and considering the beans they use are some of the best anywhere that's pretty poor. Pastry selection and quality definitely five stars.
Love this place joanna is the bomb
I love there pastries and coffee, they also provide great customer service.
Love this place every time I roll into SLC. I find it’s tough to find a good coffee shop in Utah so this is a rare find. Honestly most of the time I bring my own coffee, grinder and aeropress. There is much more specialty coffee in the SLC area but if you get outside of that you may as well count on your caffeine withdrawal starting. This time I bought a short Americano. The beans in the hopper were nice and free of oil which is a great side of not over roasting. One of the other hoppers was oily on the other hand, I’m not sure what they used that dark roast for but the non-oily was used for the espresso. The snickerdoodle was great. Fast service. Nice people. Check it out.
Always Super friendly and the Service has been Great. Most of the time Your Coffees done within a timely manner, but catch yourself at a rush hour and might have to wait a few. Though It's worth It Cause the Coffee is Great and have to mention Their Pastries,Cakes and Desserts are Awesome! If in the area recommend you check it out
Very popular coffee shop
To many people just taking up tables to use wifi
Absolutely love coming here and enjoying a cup of quality coffee! Great atmosphere and I always feel welcomed from the moment I walk through the door!
Always a great experience.
Great selection of quality Teas and coffee. Amazing environment and perfect vibe to study, read, relax or catch up with friends! Highly recommended and everything is fresh and taste great! I will always be coming back.
great coffee and there ginger that works there is smoking hot
Coffee and staff were both great. It's a very comfortable place to hang out--Which exai
Only place I’ll come to and buy Macaroons they change their flavors up during the seasons. Gets pretty busy during the weekend obviously shows how amazing their coffee and food is :)
Decent coffee and good pastries, but seating is an absolute disaster. If you A) view this as a to-go place or B) you don’t mind paying the same as the people who are sitting but standing youtself, it could work- but when the vast majority of the tables have two or three seats and are occupied by on person sitting there for hours in front of their laptop and using the cafe as their office, it ruins it.
Very hip place and some great pastries. A bit crowded before lunch, but seemed to clear out after that. Love the neighborhood too.
This place is wonderful. Best eclairs in salt lake City - by a long shot!
Great little coffee shop relaxing atmosphere.
ALWAYS AMAZING COFFEE... little desserts are yummy too
Great desserts, from the decadent chocolate cake, to the best eclairs in the city. Solid coffees as well. This place has been great for the 20+ years I've been coming here.
Chill place to hang out and get some coffee. Unfortunately, on Sunday, some people who want to work on their screen plays show up for the long haul, and it can be very difficult to find a seat. So definitely don't plan to meet up here and hang out for a bit on Sunday afternoon, or you will be a bit disappointed.
Atmospheric and friendly. Delicious coffee and turnovers. Wish I lived closer!
Fantastic coffee in a really up and coming part of town. The atmosphere was very nice, with enough space to comfortably have conversations without bothering the people around you. There is also space in the back for you to do work or just be more secluded. Another thing I really appreciate was that my drink was served in a mug, not a single use cup. Overall a great place to get coffee and spend some time alone or with friends!
Great cold brew and espresso, plus friendly staff and a great atmosphere!
One of my favorite coffee shops in Salt Lake. Baristas are extremely talented and the coffee is always good. Always has a great atmosphere!
Lovely location, very kind staff and variety of options in menu. Really liked the hot chocolate with cream
Nice little coffee house in the heart of the lgbtq 9th and 9th Street area
Awesome atmosphere, good WiFi, coffee was delicious
Great atmosphere, very friendly staff, only classical music - a great place to work!
Coffee Garden has the best baked goods and coffee and such a cute pleasant place to have a business lunch. Cute location and top notch service make this restaurant a no-brainer to indulge at.
Good music. Nice coffee
I don't honestly know how to rate my visits. In a couple of quick trips to town I enjoyed great quiche here. I love sitting inside, I love sitting outside. It feels like coming home though I am not at all from here. I will walk around the area before or after just to connect even more. SO, on my last visit, I was sitting outside with my husband. I went in to wait for our quiche to be done in the microwave (already, not my thing...I am eating out, shut up right?) As I stand in full view of the place, I see a woman hauling a plastic rug/mat from the kitchen. I turned around for a second and she is now serving our plates. Now, she may have had a moment to wash up before plating the roll and butter, but I tried to not think about it...ugh! Great quiche though
As good as it gets. Stopped in on a visit to the city after being in Seattle and this place was better than anywhere I found in Seattle. Great prices and choices.
Hipster coffee place on sugar House, mostly gay guys
Never any parking, coffee is bitter, and cake is dry. Have been a handful of times, experience never changed
Great pastries!
Perhaps the perfect cafe for people watching, writing, and discreet eavesdropping. Central table for chess players. Delicious food. Expert caffeine injection technology. Wifi. Tip the nice waitstaff, please!
Best priced and most delicious cold brew in town
Really nice coffe shop with yummy goodies
The baristas are always extremely friendly and the environment is really airy, but you can get a lot of work done. Not to mention that it's in an amazing area.
Great coffee, lots of seats, so many people that theres sometimes not enough!
It was a cool place pretty chill atmosphere and prices are okay as well. I didn't like the restrooms they seam to be a little messy idk they put newspaper for you to... Cover the toilet seat? Idk that's quite weird
Perfect neighborhood coffee shop with delicious baked-in-store pastries and food.
Went in here after a long day and realized I brought the wrong wallet that didn’t have my card in it only after I had placed my order for an iced americano. I asked them to cancel my order and I’d go home to get the right card and come back, but they said “No! you NEED your coffee! Come back and pay when you can” and still made my order. Ran home with coffee (the coffee itself was delicious and smooth) in hand and ran back to pay, with a huge tip for their kind and understanding baristas.
I love this place!
