We visited the bakery with high expectations to get a pastry for my wife's birthday, but unfortunately we didn't get what we wanted because they were almost out of stock. I would suggest to the customers to get there early morning if they want their choice of confectioneries, and will also request the bakery to restock the items during the day to avoid disappointment for the customers. Honest, real, simple food! It's the only place I know that makes lentils soup the way my family does (we are Italian). Their baked goods are very good. It's a simple, joyful happy place for the whole family. Love it.

Not sure what happened recently but a lot has changed in the service and quality. We have enjoyed their signature "lunch specials" for several years to find out today that they have discontinued it without warning. The roast beef on my sandwich was much like it was left out of the cooler overnight, dry and tough and the bread was dry and broke up in my hand. The person delivering plates the table need a shower or maybe just deodorant,and probably both would be appropriate; the person in this position should be pleasant in every way. I have the impression that it has been sold, under new management in difficulty of some kind. It's a shame, used to be such a gem in the community.

I came here to pick up some cupcakes, but couldn't resist the temptation of the cookies. The cupcakes tasted great and were very moist. (They remained moist even after a few days in the fridge.) The cookies were amazing! They tasted great the day I bought them, the next day, and even two days later. (We finished them that day.) I will definitely buy more desserts from Upper Crust, and will be back to try their lunch menu items as well.

I live in California and found this bakery randomly on Google to decorate a birthday cake for my son who lives in Austin. I was happy they let me pay by credit card over the phone so my son could simply pick it up at the store. The person on the phone was extremely nice and helpful and offered a variety of fantastic cake choices that would fit my budget. I hope y'all in Austin will frequent this place because they deserve it. Oh, and my son said the cake looked awesome.

What a wonderful experience we had working with Seven for my daughter's wedding cake. He is wonderful and pleasant and funny. Even when I got the information wrong about what type of cake arrangement my daughter wanted (which she corrected the week before the wedding), Seven took it all in stride and made it work. And the cake was exactly what she asked for and delicious! Thank you, Seven!!!!!

What a great bakery! I have enjoyed all the desserts I've tried from them; the cookies are sweet and have just the right amount of savory (just a bit!) and their cakes are also great. I really enjoy the texture of the icing and it tastes far better than anything you could get at a grocery store. I was informed that they only accept Visa and MC payments, so if you have an Amex or Discover, you should bring some cash or a backup card if you want the baked goodies.

One of our favorite bakery in Austin for over 30 years. Great place to meet for breakfast pastries and coffe or lunch sanwiches. The cinnamon rolls are out if this world good. Also try the lemon buttermilk pound cake. Their Chocolate Cake and their Italian Creme cake are some of the best we have tasted. Pick up your goodies to go or hang out for a while with your friends. You can't go wrong with Upper crust.

Staff was great. This is the second time we've eaten at Upper Curst both times we've had unpleasent interactions with to owner. He is rude to his staff and was short with us even after we purchased a lot of pastrys. I also ordered an Americano and it was hands down the worst cup of coffee I've ever had. We will not go back again.

One of the places I really miss since leaving Austin. They have the best cakes, pies and cookies. I highly recommend the GATEAU MARISA, a yellow cake layered with creme patisserie and a choice of fresh sliced strawberries, bananas or both. Iced with cream cheese icing and topped with whole strawberries. It is always fresh and delicious.

I would have given it a 5 ⭐️ if it weren’t for their slamming my bag in the counter when they were charging me. Don’t get it wrong the pastry and sandwiches are good but the services is the worse. Only people that smiled was the older gentleman who took our order and the tall one that was friendly and even offered to give us a bigger bag to place what we purchased. The young blonde lady that was there seemed she was having a bad day and should have been sent home. Customer service should also be a priority.

Upper Crust bakery has been around for quite some time. And they have a variety of wonderful pastries and sandwiches. However, my favorite thing to get is the cinnamon roll. It is one of the few places that have cinnamony cinnamon rolls! There is no sugar icing on them, just cinnamon! Yum! They have worth the trip.

Probably the best bakery in town! I will drive from Cedar Park just to come here on special Saturday mornings. They also have just the best carrot cake I have had in town, even better than any restaurant. If it wasn't so far away from me I would go every week. Make sure to get there early and try their quiche, the ham and spinach is my favorite.

I have yet to have a bad experience with the quality of the customer service or food quality at Upper Crust. Their cheese soup is to die for, and although I don’t recommend combining the two, if you ever get the chance to devour some Italian Cream Cake, you will not regret it. Their menu offers a wide range of pastries and desserts as well as soups, salads, sandwiches, and wraps in their cases. There is a good amount of seating although some tables are close to where customers wait in line, which can be noisy. The quality of their food (especially for the price it is at) continues to amaze me. I was able to get two large Italian Creme Cakes (serving 72 people) for $64. If you are looking for somewhere to sit and have lunch or do work, Upper Crust is the place. It is locally owned with fresh ingredients and you will enjoy whatever you get.

Wwny by today. Its been a while. Lived in Crestview years ago and used to take my boys there. I guarantee this is still probably the best bakery in Austin. Ive tried many others over the years as I have moved to another part of the city but always return. Its a chill vibe, beautiful display cases and goods. Can't say enough about UC except it brought back a lot of memories both happy, wistful for the good old days and a little sad they are over. Maybe if mine have kids we can all go back. Its a tough business and kudos to the original owners and current ones as they've got a blue ribbon bakery here. Thank you for keeping it high quality delicious!

You have to try the apple pie. Bought it for my family it was a hit. Pies are made daily with fresh ingredients. Definitely will come back, it's nice to see family enjoy a tasty pie. Hands down. Glad I made the choice not to buy from the supermarket. And there is plenty to go around. I all ready recommended it to coworkers and it was there first time hearing of it. It's not on my side of town but it is worth the drive.

Nothing like it! I ordered a Black Forest 9 inch cake for my birthday which got me disappointed. It tastes nothing like it, tastes like gin is in it and those are not Cherries on top or rather they are overripe. I suggest you think twice before you order Black Forest from them and it looks nothing like the photos they have. This bakery needs to have right recipes to have good cakes or rathe right bakers hands

Really enjoyed my breakfast here today! The cappuccino was perfection with the foam holding up all the raw sugar I wanted. I’ve never had a danish with fresh fruit just sliced up like this one but I don’t know if I’ll be able to go back to the jelly/jam style filling because this one was truly decadent. The quiche was really good, but the guy who was getting it for me was very confused about what was available and which he was grabbing. This could lead to some potential problems, so keep an eye on what they grab for you if you go the quiche route. It was absolutely STUFFED to the brim with bacon and spinach so it was worth the almost mix up.

I love local bakeries and cafes. The pastries taste like they were made with care, versus in a factory. The management is super kind. I have met the owner and I just want to give her a hug. The food, while simple, is decently priced and tasty. The coffee, while not mind blowing, is still really good. All in all, this is an excellent place, and has a nice homey feel to it.

One of the best bakeries in all of Austin. Their "grandma's chocolate cake" is especially moist and delicious, but you can't really go wrong with anything here. I'm sure the not sweet things are good, too, but I can't resist their desserts, so I wouldn't know. Tip: you can buy cake by the slice if you'd rather cake than cupcake. I didn't realize that at first.
