Finally had a chance to check this place out during the day as they are not open into the evening. Ordered 3 different cupcakes and a dessert they call "treasure". While the cupcakes were mediocre at best, the coconut-banana-caramel treasure was amazing! I believe they also do cakes to order but I have no experience with that service. Atmosphere was clean and the service was pleasant. I'd return if only for those 'treasure' treats.

Saw tons on reviews on the Treasures, went 2 hours before closing, saw literally one, young man tells me "yeah it's because we are closing in an hour" this was at 1, they close at 3. Wish I could have tried them, but definitely won't be going back. Was excited but first impression is everything and he had an attitude. Not to mention he took about 3 minutes to come out from the back, literally stood there alone in silence waiting, horrible customer service. Saw some people walk up to the door as I was leaving, because no one was in the front they seemed confused and left. Wish they had better employees.

Romelia's bakery is a nice little treasure in Huebner Oaks. I tried the strawberry cupcake & to my delight, the frosting was cheese cream & soft. I hate the butter cream frosting because they are too sweet, but this one was perfect. The sugar was minimal & really let you grasp the flavor of the cupcake. The prices are fair & will definitely be coming here more often!

I'm not someone who leaves reviews often, but I just experienced the smoothest and creamiest cupcake frosting I have ever tasted, on a strawberry cupcake. At $3.50, it was really the perfect price. Cannot speak highly enough. I will be returning.

Would 10/10 recommend Romelia's!! Eduardo totally saved my butt when it was my boyfriend's birthday and I had forgotten to order him a cake. I called them at 5pm and they had it at his office by 11:30am on Wednesday. There was no time to order anything specific given the tardiness of my request, so I just trusted in Eduardo to throw something together and he more than delivered. The cake was of thin layers of wafer cookie with a merengue-like cream between them and absolutely doused in fresh perfectly-ripe berries. It was also extremely affordable even with the delivery fee. I was completely floored by both the great friendly service and the delicious product. I will definitely return to Romelia's for all my cake related needs!

I think the cupcake was absolutely okay. I thought it would taste better because most of the cupcakes were sold out, and a guy came in recommending a bunch of them. It's a cute bakery, and the cashier was friendly, but I wasn't a huge fan of the cupcakes.

Saw they got the blue plate award and was excited to try it. My family surprised me knowing my interest and got me a birthday cake. The cake was so dry it just crumbled apart. The icing was good, the appearance was beautiful but the inside was undesirable. I love to support local business but was disappointed.

The best dessert in town: their treasures! The Berry, Mango/kiwi, or Banana are very delicious. I have been the hero on more than one occasion showing up with these treasures. As well, you can buy them in 8 and 10 inches. Thank you, Romelia's, for these amazing desserts!

Order a graduation cake as a gift was poorly designed. Ask for the cake to be white in color its yellow. Asked for the school color which are navy grey and white. Got a freaking royal blue color. Call to see if the could make some type of change to the cake for customer satisfaction was told no. Should of just went to heb. Embarrassed to give this cake as a gift.

Assuming this is a business less than one year open it stills runs very poorly. As for the sweet bread for sale, its very deceiving. Don't know where the effort go towards when ingredients are slapped together ungenerously. Lacking lustrous taste amongst the palate we all expect, its rather left wanted. Save your money

Cupcakes are good... BUT the older man (owner) is very RUDE. Left a bad taste in my mouth. Also, it says they close at 6pm but they turn the lights off at 5:30pm even while customers are still inside. I can’t believe the way they treat their customers. They shut down and are not accessible long before 6pm comes around. Incredibly poor customer service!!!

I bought a cake from this bakery awhile back that was really delicious. I got so many great compliments, I wanted to buy another one. I emailed them and never got a response back. I also called the bakery to get a quote on the cake and the man didn't understand what I was asking for. He wanted to know lenght and width sizes. All I asked for was a cake for 10 people and that was a shape of a 2. He sounded really rude on the phone. Will never do business with them, when they can't even quote me on a cake.

I called Romelia's with a last minute emergency cake request. I literally only gave them about 16 hour notice. But they were willing to try, I sent them an image we wanted on the cake that included detail and 2 logos. Initially they said they couldn't do both and just wouldn't have enough time, but they ended up doing both logos, and it really turned out fabulous. Not only was the cake ready in time, but we are super pleased. San Antonio - Romelia's will go above and beyond customer service for you!! Thank you to Eduardo and the whole team at Romelia's.!

Pesimo Servició/ Bad Service. I love this bakery. It is by far my favorite bakery in San Antonio, I am a loyal customer and am always sure to recommend them at parties and such. I recently ordered the cake located below-- the cake was supposed to read "Happy birthday Edward" and have the blue gradient effect, like in the first image, on a 10 inch red velvet/buttermilk cake. Final price $75. This cake was for my Fiancé's birthday party, since I would be unavailable to pick up the cake my mother in law was kind enough to pick it up for me. My mother in law had never been to Romelia's Huebner location, so naturally after arriving at 'The Strand' she called the bakery to ask for further directions, since the store is small it's easy to miss. When the owner picked up the phone he dismissively told her to "figure it out"/ "look around" and find the place on her own. So she did. Whenever she did finally find the location she asked to speak to the owner-- when she gave him a piece of her mind concerning his lack of customer care he condescendingly replied "Do you want the cake or not?" "Va a querer el pastel o no?" It's sad to say that instead of listening to her criticism and learning form it, he decided to continue riding on his high horse and once again dismiss her concerns IN FRONT OF HIS OTHER CUSTOMERS. Porfavor, si está tan ocupado, no ande de recepcionista. Búsquese a una/uno con buena actuitud— así no pierde clientela—porque la de usted? Esta pesada amigo. It was unsettling to have to listen to my mother in law recount how small she felt and then APOLOGIZE for the unfinished calligraphy on the cake. She was afraid to head back into the bakery only to be ridiculed again. Overall, The customer care/ customer attention is lacking at this establishment and should definitely be re-evaluated. Oh my goodness! So good. I don't normally go to bakeries, but I wanted to get my friend a cupcake because she was sick. So I got her the red velvet and she told me it was so good and that I had to try them. So far we've tried the German chocolate cupcake and the caramel banana treasure. SO GOOD. Ordered a recreation of our cake top from our wedding for our anniversary. The owners were lovely and food a great job adding the little Android man on top as a representation of my hubbies grooms cake. So delicious too!! I highly recommend the carrot cake! (And the treasures!) But if you are after treasures, get there early. They are so stinking good, they sell out quick!!
