I always enjoy going to Ravelin baking company. I have actually gone there since the first year that they opened in Denton near to TWU University. In my opinion, the pastries and bread here get better each year! To me, this place is truly a hidden treasure in the City of Denton. I highly, highly recommend it to everyone!

This time around I got a loaf of breakfast bread sliced. It was moist and filled with nuts a mcnd raisins. I also picked up a sour cream nut cake that was probably one of the best "coffee cakes" I've had. Of course I'll always be partial to their old fashioned chocolate cake and Italian cream cake. Go early, see the full cases...its truly food art!

Wonderful! My boyfriend and I walk here all the time from our apartment and have enjoyed everything we've gotten there. The 100% wheat bread, Creme Brulee, and Swiss and mushroom croissants are my favorites! The staff is very friendly and always ready to help! Love it~

Only thing flaky around this bakery a rich, buttery croissant! I try to make it a ritual to pick a couple up on Saturday morning. I'm also partial to the zucchini muffins as they remind me of my grandmother's zucchini bread. And the sourdough loaves are perfect any time...break bread over a special dinner or toast a slice and top with an over easy egg and avocado for breakfast

Ravelin is so good. It's our go to for a pick me up or treat. Everything is good. I always get a ham and a cheese croissant. The cream puffs are great. The cookies and cake are delis. Everyone is nice and service is good. You can't go wrong.

Ravelin is a nice bakery. Our family enjoys stopping by when we're in town. We've tried their breads, cookies, cream puffs, eclairs and more. Everyone has something they like. The quality is much different than the mass produced baked goods at your local supermarket. I'd say that if you like the high sugar, artificial ingredients laden baked goods at the supermarket you might not like the real food here. But if you want a break from artificial ingredients, give them a try. You won't be disappointed.

I purchased a blueberry orange muffin and it was delightful. Usually I find muffins too sweet and gaggy especially in the morning. This was the right amount of sweet, and I felt like they used actual natural ingredients. It didn't taste like a chemically induced plastic filler cheapo crap today's standard muffin, but an actual baked good made by a human in a small kitchen. I enjoyed the flavor and particularly the texture. I will probably make the muffin a Saturday habit and get muffin top as a result, but I don't care. It's a lovely treat & a really nice local shop. I recommend you try it if you are in the area. :)

Their macaroons taste incredible. If I remember correctly their food is made freshly daily with all natural ingredients. Yes, you can taste the difference better yet smell it upon your arrival.I found their location via Google and love local businesses that cares about what they feed to their customers. First time I had ever tried one and it was the real deal, in truth I never had a macaroon before but innately know it was made right. One visit I purchased a raisin oatmeal cookie there and discover they "don't use the regular raisins" that have a slight bitter taste and I was impressed, so much so I finished it on my way home. I took my time with this review because they take their time with the food they provide. Hope this helps

Cute place. Recipes are not necessarily authentic to the name. The shortbread had an overly lemon flavor. The Russian tea cookie was very dry and gritty. I was told to get the chocolate cake but haven't tried it yet.

We have visited Ravelins on several occasions since mov8ng here a year ago. The service is consistently friendly and knowledgeable. The baked goods that we have tried have been fresh delicious and flavorful. My Husband's favorite is the seasonal chocolate tart. Just the right amount of chew and fudgie filling. The biscotti are amazing. The fig and cardamom is my favorite but there are different flavors every day. Try them all. You won't be disappointed. We ordered a selection of their small cookies for a family get together. Everyone raved about them. We can't wait to try the holiday selection that they will have.

Unassuming outside appearance, _DO_ go inside!! I can't wait to go back and try some more of their goods. I was checking out the Akido Dojo in the building behind them and saw the bakery. I bought a slice of Cherry Tart and one of Chocolate Cake. Both were absolutely sinful they were so good. This place should be banned. (just kidding) I have never had better baked goods anywhere in my 74 years of culinary enjoyment. Can you tell? I love to eat. This bakery is definitely on our list of places to frequent often.

Everything I've tasted is delicious. In fact, I got a sampler of all if the cookies and pastries so I could decide what I liked best. For me, it's the coconut macaroons! I don't think you could go wrong with anything you pick. They offer items that you won't find in other bakeries. It's worth a visit.

The staff are very friendly and patient when choosing all of tge gteat delicacies that this place has. I orginally thought it was like a donut shop but I was totally wrong. They have a wide assortment of artisan baked goods from, breads, to pastries, to tarts, and cookies. I usually grab a bite to eat and a drink before heading next door to a place called The Art Room inside the door that says Martial Arts lol awesome place as well! Will definitely leave a review there also.

My wife and I have been going there since they opened at their original location on the other side of the square ( I lived 2 blocks from there at the time). I can honestly say that everything I've ever gotten there has been fantastic (from almond crisp to whole Key Lime Pies to various breads). They also have jarred unfiltered raw honey that is great. They have also always had these loaves of sweet bread (apple coffe, banana and my favorite sour cream) on a rack next to the register for around $5 that make a fantastic snack/gift. The folks working behind the counter have always been really nice too!

I have only been here once so far but I'm definitely coming back! I had ginger biscotti and the Chipotle bacon croissant. The texture on both is just fantastic. Crunchy and chewy biscotti was amazing and the croissant's layers are beautiful!! Just like France :) I'm sure they're in there really early every morning to make those croissant!

I have never been disappointed. I really love their chocolate chip cookies, cream puffs, fruit tarts, brownies and muffins (the orange blueberry is the best). The Brioche is amazing for french toast if you can hold off that long. I get all my special event cakes here. Do yourself, your friends and family a favor, buy something from here.

I make a weekly stop at Ravelin, my favorite item has to be the Dark Chocolate shortbread cookies, it's impossible to only eat one. I've been enjoying their treats for years, I used to walk to their previous location when I lived by TWU. Most of the time I buy their sourdough and specialty breads to enjoy them throughout the week. If you have the chance to pop in, you will not be disappointed! Plus their staff is amazing.
