I love this place! As someone whose not much for cake, as I'm a chocolate chip cookie girl through and through, this is a cake lovers haven. Their strawberry cake OMG is the best strawberry cake I've ever had. It was so good I ordered a whole one for our barbecue dinner today. It was a huge hit! I actually want to try their other offerings. It's good that you don't have to commit to a whole cake, ordering by the slice is nice and pretty reasonable and the slices are a good size that you can share it. I was not disappointed at all and will surely be back!

Got my moms birthday cake from Cake bar. It was beautifully made, packaged and everyone loved it. My mom is was so pleased. Made the order the day before and it was a hassle free transaction.

The Cake Bar offers a great quality product. The pieces are generous and the cakes are delicious. I have purchased small cakes here for celebrations and they were enormously successful. My favorite is the strawberry cake, but the lemon is fabulous too. The employees are friendly and helpful. I suggest you go on a weekday to not be rushed!

This place was fantastic. I went there for the first time last Sunday, they closed at 6pm and I got there at 6:50.... people were literally RUNNING in to beat 6:00. The staff was still accommodating. I had the key lime cake and the carrot cake. Both were SUPER MOIST and SUPER AMAZING! I enjoyed both for 2 different reasons. I'm going back for the pineapple upside down cake and the pina colada this weekend (they were out when I was there). Great cake for an awesome price as well!

Damn fine cake! I enjoyed myself quite a bit with a slice of carrot cake, then I stole a few bites of my wife's Pina colada cake and then I attack my daughters strawberry cake and finished up with a few bites of my son's hummingbird cake. They were all delicious but if I were pressed to Declare a Victor for my favorite it would be the hummingbird. and of course if you're going to have cake you have to have milk, whole milk none of that nonsensical 2%. While everything did taste amazing I can't help to feel that it may be slightly overpriced at $5.25 a slice $15 for a 5" round and $40 for a 8" round. As ridiculous as it sounds I feel that if it was priced at $4.99 a slice I would feel better about myself lol but don't let the prices discourage you from enjoying an amazingly delicious slice of cake. I should also mention that the interior seating is a bit cramped but they do have outdoor seating as well just something to keep in mind. Why five stars and not JL foodie certified: The price point hurts a bit and then also I like to visit a establishment a few times for the sake of consistency before I declare JL foodie certified *Poor *Decent *Good *great *Best *JLFoodie Certified Food. Best cake in Dallas!! I don’t even like key lime as a flavor but the KEY LIME CAKE IS A MUST!!! I’ve tried almost all of them and it’s the best flavor. Can’t go wrong here!

One of our favorite spots to grab a slice of cake! You can't really go wrong with any of the cakes on the menu. They have all kinds of flavors to satisfy anyone's taste. They also have cookies, puddings, pound cakes that we need to try but can't seem to veer off from their delish cakes!! They are all moist and with a smooth and creamy buttercream icing. They are consistent in flavor and quality and a great location to hang around!

Today was my first time there, we bought about 6 different slices of cake and a few cake balls and my nephew got a chocolate milk! Well milk turned out to be spoiled with today's expiration date. We didn't check date while there because it having today's date we probably wouldn't of bought. My nephew took one drink and spit it out! Please check your dates on your milk! Cakes were all very good!

Gave this “bakery” a second and last try today. They were replacing one of my birthday cakes. We originally got a wedding and strawberry cakes. The first wedding cake was nothing like a wedding cake. It was stale and heavy and had very little flavor. The strawberry’s cream cheese icing was soured and ruined and was a yellow color, not white like the pictures on the website. When we picked them up, no one had any customer service skills. They acted like they were so over serving cake for a job. When my husband called back to share feedback, there was no apology from the owner, just her telling my husband how HE must have done something wrong! He informed her that he had followed the storage instructions to the letter. She finally agreed to replace the wedding cake, which he picked up today. It was fresher and slightly better, but still not good. Certainly not for the money and the effort. The icing is whipped and the cake is extremely dense and over cooked. It was still nothing like a “wedding cake.” We really have had better cakes from boxed mixes.

I have been here a few times. I am a repeat client for the pineapple upside down cake. I have also tried the hummingbird and coconut creme cakes. All very delicious. I use to favor the black walnut hummingbird cake but Cake Bars version is much better. The cakes are delicious. The people are great.

I use to love this place, but something has changed. The cakes are dry, especially the wedding cake and the red velvet cake. If I return, it will be for the banana pudding or until they cut corners here. Please figure out whats going wrong. The first year was great, but now not so much!!!!

I have been here at least once a week for past 3 months because I LOVE their wedding cake! I have to admit however, I was disappointed on my last 2 visits since the cake didn't appear to bake well - it looked as if it fell a little; and it was dense and not as light and moist as usual. Hopefully the next batch will be better!

I’ve been to the cake bar several times... every time the cake slices are dry... there’s a lot of hype around it but I don’t see why... I purchased a cake for a 1 year anniversary and I just wanted the name of the business and the date of establishment on it... very simple. I’m not sure how the writing was on one side of the cake. An inch of space in the right side and about 7 on the other... and they thought it was good enough for the client! The owner was rude to me and she was condescending! She offered no fixes and said that’s how I ordered it. I will never give them my business again. And as a former pastry chef I am highly disappointed in the lack of detail and poor quality.

Great cake, but bad service. The owner behind the counter was rude and telling my friend and I we had to leave. It was 15 minutes to closing and we should keep track of time. I did not know what the business hours were. As soon as other clients entered the business, she showed a different side to them. This was my second and last time going there.

I've been here few times and have been meaning to leave a review. I love this place!! The cakes are baked to perfection and the staff has always been great. I absolutely love the Key Lime cake!!!! The Banana Pudding was amazing!!!!!! The store itself is small, but it works for what they have going on. It's always pack (which is never an issue for me) since I'm in there to grab a slice or two and leave. If you haven't been here, give it a try!!!!!

The cakes here are amazing! I like that you can either get a whole cake for a party, a mini cake for 2-3 people, or a single slices for yourself. Their carrot cake and the frosting on that was def some of the best I ever had. Glad this place isnt far from me!!

I am not much of a dessert person but I have been a here a few times. I have tried the strawberry, pineapple, carrot and chocolate cake. All delicious, my personal favorite is carrot cake. Somewhat pricey if bought by the slice, but good taste.

My family and I had lunch in the area and I suggested The Cake Bar although I hadn’t been there in awhile and after my visit on yesterday, I remembered why I hadn’t been there in months. Why have a business if you know you will have contact with people and you’re not friendly? And then I have to ask is that a requirement for the staff to be rude and unfriendly too? I’m just asking. I purchased two slices of cake and my family bought some other sweets. Cookies were good but my cake left a film in my mouth like Crisco and the cake was DRY. Hope others have a better experience but for me, I’m good. There are too many other bakeries in the area that are much friendlier and the cakes are better.

Amazing Cakes, so moist and have several kinds. The combinations like pistachio key lime pie is just Devine. The service the employees provide to help you with all the cakes available by the slice. Every cake is made with love and are so scrumptious. Coconut cake is light fluffy and moist it is another favorite. Carrot cake and red velvet are a few I bought last week and PHENOMENAL.

The cakes are delicious. The banana pudding was delicious. However, milk wasn't all that cold and I had to serve my own tap water from a faucet they have, a sink they use to possibly clean or wash stuff. They should probably have a jar of water at least. The line gets super tight, there is not enough space and it can get a but crowded.

This is a great concept, a cake bar! I’m more of an ice cream guy, but this place was wonderful! The German Chocolate and Dark Chocolate were so moist, and the frosting complements the cake well. I also tried two cake balls, but the cake slices are much better, more moist and richer flavors. Go here with a large group so you can share and try more than one flavor. Highly recommended!

This place is one of the best dessert joints I've had in Dallas. Cake slices are a bit over 5 bucks each but they are both BIG, and delicious. If you visit when strawberries are in season, don't pass on the strawberry cake.

Stopped in here saturday around noon. Fairly busy. We got slices of, Carrot cake, and wedding cake and a bowl of ice cream for my chocoholic of a child. The cake was delicious. I dont know how much it cost because i stayed outside, but it was fantastic. Very MOIST!!! The buttercream was awesome! Will be back. Perfect for that date night treat or if you just love the cakey cake! Parking could be a problem on busy nights.

Small and cute cake shop with a good selection of cakes but even with so many choices you kinda go in knowing what you already want. I loved the quick service and recommend for a nice after dinner snack and chat spot with friends or a date!

Its always a good experience! I appreciate the smiles and greetings that the staff are able to render being that its always busy and that line never really seems to get shorter. The products are always fresh from cake, to cookies, to the pudding. My son loves the free smells!! We make the drive from Grapevine at least 3 times a month.

I've been eating their cake for several years because my company orders them a lot. Their cake is very dried. The price is not reasonable compare to their quality. I do not recommend their cake except their banana pudding.

I've just had a few slices of cake from here. Prices are fair and their selection is pretty awesome. A lot of people are criticizing the cake for being dry, but I haven't experienced that, and I'm usually pretty critical of deserts.

Our Family is HOOKED!!! My Mom is 90 years old and she has been baking since she eas about 10yrs old. Her exact words was when I took her a slice of the Italian Creme cake was "Baby those people can bake! The next time you go to Dallas please stop by and get me some more, in fact two slices. So I stopped by again and purcased Ita.Cream and German Chocolate slices and they were ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! We're customers for life! Best Scratch Cake in town! Great Prices as well
