I can’t say enough about this place! My daughter’s and I stopped in the 12 South location to see what all the talk was about these layered donuts. It was a Saturday afternoon and it was busy! However, the line moved quickly. I couldn’t decide what one to try because they all looked so delicious, so I bought four of them! Vanilla cream, salted caramel chocolate, birthday cake, and original glazed (not sure what their name for the last one is). The vanilla cream and the salted chocolate were creamy and filled with layers of cream also. They. Were. To. Die. For! The other two weren’t filled but they were equally as delicious. No, I didn’t eat them all in one sitting! Haha! They kept nicely over two days. The donuts are big, and have a croissant-like texture, but they definitely are donuts. They are also pricey at about $4+ per donut, but WORTH IT! Split one with someone, which is what I did. So very delicious. I wish there were one of these in Michigan!

Incredible donuts here. Lots of special flavors like lemon poppy seed and vanilla cream. Many have a lot of frosting or icing so be prepared for something sweet. They also have a restroom here and outdoor seating. Provided wet wipes for your hands before / after donuts.

Adorable location ❤ We got the Orange Dreamsicle, King Kong, Chocolate Glazed and Strawberry Iced. My personal favorite was the bacon (King Kong). It was a tad sweet, but loved every bite! The orange made me a little hesitant since I was worried it was going to taste artificial, but it was so good!

Phenomenal "doughnuts!" The quotations are because they're like doughnuts made from croissants. The key lime one is fire. I've been back twice in 3 days because it's that good. It can be busy on the weekends. Great for instagramming needs.

This is not just the nicest donut in Nashvile or even just in Tennesse... Its not even just the nicest donut Ive evet had. Nor is it just the nicest baked good Ive ever had. No... This was the single nicest piece of food I have ever eaten. No question. No debate. Just a single stand out winner without a single competitor in sight contending for this personal accolade. I had the maple bacon which had 100 layers of dough and cream baked into into. Im told it took 4 days to make and let me tell you ot tasted like it took 4 days to perfect. Both my partner and I just looked at each other after our first bite. Said nothing. Looked at the doughnut. Looked at each other for a good 20 seconds and finally one of us said 'there are no words really are there?' The location is a lovely part of Nashville while the building itself is very beautiful along with a playground outside for children. To be honest, this baked perfection is wasted on children, dont spoil your kids with one of these because from that doughnut onwards it doesnt better so dont do it to yourself and ruin your kids. In fact, they should probably ID everyone to make sure they are 21 and take personal responsiblity for eating such an addictive piece of food. Do not come to Nashville without this place on your bucket list. Its vital.

I was sent here by word of mouth from cleveland, tn so i had to try!!! This place upon arrive is so cute the atmosphere definently draws you in. I came here with my little brother. On our weekend trip to see a concert. They have lots of donut options (even paleo)and drinks (coffee, juice, milks, etc). Order the king kong i think its called (has bacon and cream filled) the donut was amazing like a hybrid from a crossaint and a donut, nice flaky, fluffy and pretty big (filled me up) my brother got a strawberry shortcake i think. The service was great and they were pretty busy. My only conplaint is they are pretty pricey my donut was 6 bucks and with the coffee my order came up to over 10 dollars ouch but i would say i was paying for the experience i would have loved to brought some home for the family and friends but that would have broke my bank!!

We stopped by later in the afternoon, so we didn't have a whole lot to choose from. I would definitely recommend going in the morning if you want more of a selection. I really enjoyed the pastry I got, it was spool fricken good. Worth every bite and every penny. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. I would definitely go again if I am ever back in Nashville.

Five Daughters has THE BEST donuts I have ever tasted. I'm from Portland, Oregon where there are quite a few bakeries, but I have never tasted anything this delicious. The 100 layer donuts were phenomenal and SO flaky and fresh-tasting. I tried the Pursuit and the Maple Glaze, both were fantastic! Such a cute little shop both on the outside and inside. I am back home now and already miss this place.

$5 donut!? Yes. They're worth it. The maple donut and sea salt chocolate donut are delectable. The croissant dough packs layers of buttery flavor into the donuts. The glazes inside and on top of the donut add smooth richness. And the whole pastry will fill you more than a standard donut; they are dense with flavor. Add that the 12 South location has a nice outdoor seating area with donut art, and it makes the experience great for families. So, yes, they're pricey donuts. But if you turn it into a small outing to enjoy the picnic tables and to savor the donut, then it's a good experience.

If you're one of the few people on this planet still partaking in carbohydrates, I can't think of any better place to trigger an insulin response and fall out of ketosis. The filled donuts are out of this world. We purchased 1 of each flavor because.... why not try all of them. The only one I wasn't crazy about was the one with bacon on it, but I removed the bacon and enjoyed the rest. These are much better than that other place that originated Cronuts and the line is much shorter too.

This was a suggested spot by our B&B host. The yeast raised dounuts were overpriced ($12 for 4) and tough. I couldn't cut mine with a butter knife (needed a stake knife). Please retrain whoever is in the kitchen. Dont overwork your dough. Not good!

My friend has been talking about visiting this place for months. We finally stopped by and we were definitely not disappointed. There are many options for different donut flavors here and it's impossible to decide on just one. The donuts taste so fresh and soft! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful when it comes to choosing what you want to try. The location is near several other restaurants and ice cream locations, so you can get food nearby and stop by here for dessert if you are hanging out with friends or family. I would definitely recommend that everybody try this bakery.

The very best baked good I have ever eaten. (I have traveled to France and Germany, If that gives you any indication of how good this was.) It is not an ordinary cake donut. The dough has many flaky layers, they advertise 100, deep fried to perfection. I tried one infused with vanilla cream and topped with bacon. (I have literally thought of that donut experience every day since.) They offer a variety of flavors, and gluten-free/vegan options as well. They are located in a former oven factory just outside of downtown Franklin in the Historic area. The atmosphere is very family friendly. One tip: bring your own beverage of choice. The coffee was not to my liking, and the milk had sold out.

I am a big sweets person and was very excited to try these donuts, but they let me down a bit. The vanilla cream donut was far too buttery and sweet - it had too much cream both inside the donut and on top. It tasted like I was just eating cream. Same goes for the maple. The chocolate churro and chocolate sea salt were much better as they weren’t loaded with cream. Still, not sure the $4.50 price per donut is worth it.

I made it my mission to visit all three locations this location is my favorite only because if the surrounding area lots of shops near by. Beware parking is limited. This was by far the best donut I ever had referring to the cream filled cronut style one. My wife was very skeptical that a donut could be that good but she changed her mind after having. We ended up slitting one of the salted chocolate but wish we could have tried more- hot of really good dessert places to try in the area though- Christie cookie and Jenis ice cream etc... this was hands down our favorite- Cute location with outdoor seating and a kids play area as well.

I give them a 1 if I can give the a 0 I will Because me and my co-works came here on 07/10/19 around 9ish, We stood there at least 10 mins no one greeted us and the works just walked by, So we decided to go to the front and ask do we get the donuts ourselves, she said no someone will help us, So we went back over there where the donuts where and a white couple walked in they was greeted and helped as we was just standing there..so we decided just to walk out and I called to ask for a manager they said there was no manager so I ask for the manager name she wouldn’t give me the manager name she said she couldn’t give it out only a email, and I explain to the so called shift leader our money spend just like everyone else and the situation she said they was off because they just got 8 dozen of donuts in,but they wasn’t so off to greet the white couple and service them so please save that lie,They might as well put a sign up that says no blacks allowed.But it’s fine some people will never change and at the end we all going to be in heaven or hell together. 5 daughters it’s nice to be nice learn that and if you are running a business money is (NOT) black or white it’s green the word for today.
