I have only positive things to say about Cakebuds. I went to them first time about a year ago for a friend’s birthday and they made a delicious gluten free cake. Ever since then, Ms. Tammy has been nothing but amazing in taking my cake orders and their cake designer is absolutely phenomenal. I will come to them and ask for the strangest cake ideas and am always very happy with what I pick up. I once asked for a cake with a “soup” theme and they make a soup bowl to put on the top as decoration. Also, their attention to detail is unreal! I would highly recommend Cakebuds for anyone who wants a beautifully designed cake that tastes just as good as it looks!!

Thank you for the fabulous job you did for my son's 40th birthday! The Pink-Floyd themed cake looked fantastic and the cake itself was out of this world! Everyone loved the strawberry cake and the vanilla layer was equally tasty! The cake really put a smile on my son's face. Thanks again for a great job!

Ordered cookies for the office and had them delivered. They showed up right on time and everyone loved them, especially the chocolate chip cookies that were still warm when they arrived. Was pleasantly surprised you can get fresh baked cookies delivered in Johnson City. Will be ordering again for our next office meeting.

Couldn't believe the taste! Our family ordered a sculpted cake and we assumed the taste of the cake would be subpar based on the difficulty of design of the cake itself. The cake even required a support structure! Much to our surprise the cake was moist and full of flavor (cookies and cream is the way to go). We will use Cake Buds for all of our cakes in the future and will highly recommend them to anyone needing something that exceeds expectations! A great find in our local are.

I ordered a cake for my sons birthday, the Jeffy cake, when I picked the cake up it looked awesome! The design was nearly perfect! Fast forward to party, I go to cut the head of the cake and it won’t cut, it’s styrofoam!!!! The arms and legs are completely fondant, only the body is edible!! Now keep this in mind, I paid 250.00 for this “cake” that is suppose to serve 50 people, it barely served 20 people! When I voiced my concerns I was told that next time to make sure I ordered an edible cake! What??? I thought when I ordered a CAKE that it would be edible!!!! $250 wasted on a cake that over half was not edible. I usually sing the praises of Cakebuds but this time they completely missed the mark.

Absolutely delicious!! I'm writing this review while I eat the leftovers from my daughter's birthday! I asked them to make her a mermaid cake with glitter. I didn't have a picture or anything for them to go by but they did absolutely amazing. I got the strawberry cake with a fondant icing and buttercream underneath. It was so delicious and moist!!! I just can't thank them enough for making my daughter's birthday extra special!! The price was great as well !!!

I called cake buds to inquire about gluten free baking not knowing that they did that... This is a plus as finding a place for gluten free baking is difficult... I did call Tuesday and was told that I needed to call on Wednesday to reserve the cake. I did just that, I also went ahead and paid in full. I did not ask for anything elaborate. I got a very small gluten free 6 inch cake. The price wasnt to bad. Gluten free is expensive. With that being said though I came to pick it up on Saturday as was spoke about on phone with previous arrangements made. I got there at 11:45 in the morning bc I had to be at work at 12. They close at 1 on Saturday's. When I arrived the cake was not done!!! The lady could not find the cake when she did she came out and said there is a cake in here but its not decorated. She then asked would you like to wait while I decorate it? I said no I can't I have to be at work at 12 and you close at 1. She said well we can deliver it. I agreed to that. When she brought the cake she said here is your cake and looked down and said oh the top of the box has smashed it a little. I got offered nothing for the inconvenience and had to fix the top of the cake myself. Was not pleased with the experience at all.

AMAZING job on my 5 year olds roach birthday cake . I was skeptical that it would come out like the picture we sent them but WOW was i surprised . She was so excited when she saw it . Thank you so much Cakebuds for helping make her birthday so special .

Ordered wedding cakes here. Came in, did quick tasting. Their size based on servings is so spot on. Pricing is fantastic for the quality they deliver. Sent a picture of each cake via email. Absolutely amazing job. Delivered early with no worries! Will do business again for other events!!

I absolutely LOVE Cakebuds.. They always make beautiful cakes, but more importantly, they AlWAYS taste AMAZING! I hate fondant, but love the look of it. I was very disappointed in the cake I ordered for my son's birthday party. The cake was very dry and not very flavorful. It also wasn't decorated like the picture I showed them. It definitely wasn't worth the money spent and I won't purchase anymore cakes from here.

By far the best bakery in which I have ever been! I fell in love with the cupcakes the moment I bit into one of them. I was surprised at how moist the cake itself was, seeing as how most bakeries I have been to typically have cakes that are on the drier side, but not these! I could tell that the bakers use fresh ingredients and knows what they are doing. They have a passion for what they do and it shows in the way they make their cakes. They are doing a fantastic job, and hope they don’t change a thing! If you find yourself in downtown Johnson City, I highly recommend you stop in and grab yourself a delectable cupcake. You won’t be sorry you did!

I ordered a chocolate cheesecake from CakeBuds and it turned out to be quite tasty; however, I do feel it was a bit overpriced. I remember CakeBuds was at the Farmers' Market last year during the Whoville Village event. They had a giant Grinch on display that had been constructed mostly from fondant. It was pretty impressive, to say the least. I wish CakeBuds all the best.

Cake Buds made our wedding cake for us; It was delicious (red velvet, coconut, and vanilla). It looked amazing; it turned out just like the picture we gave to them. However, when we went to pay the last payment (which was 2 days before our wedding) we were told that it could not be delivered on the day we had previously agreed to; due to them not being opened on Sundays. We agreed that it could be delivered to the venue on Saturday. At 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, it had still not been delivered; and they were unable to be contacted. We were so worried we wouldn't have a cake on our wedding day, that we sent someone to Food City to buy a cake for us to cut. The wedding started at 4:00 and the cake arrived around 2:00. We tried multiple times in those two days to contact the bakery and never could get any response. We were happy that they delivered on Sunday when they were closed, but it was very stressful that they didn't communicate with us that it would be delivered on Sunday.

Very neat place. Our family came across this while exploring the Downtown Johnson City area and we were pleasantly greeted by the staff. We each had a cake pop as we made our way on around the corner to visit Hands On Museum. Moist and delicious. We will definitely be back!

It's truly amazing how cakebuds created exactly the cake we wanted. Made our daughters birthday over the top. I have been a customer for 3 years and I can't imagine getting our cakes anywhere else. Thank you for allowing us a last minute order after my husband forgot to order in advance. You really came through for us again. We needed a cake shaped like a crown for a celebration at work. Cakebuds did an amazing job - everyone was in awe of how much the cake resembled an actual crown. Additionally, the flavor of the cake was wonderful. We also had cupcakes, and those were quickly devoured. Cakebuds delivered on both style and taste, and the process was simple.

I was VERY disappointed with my granddaughters cake I was very specific how important it was to be, a awesomely decorated troll cake you know, glitter , streamers , a troll party cake with butter cream, what I got was the opposite of everything I paid 87.00 for, it was a blue cake with a troll doll on it and flowers around it you can buy at Wal-Mart , they need to put closed on door and find another profession if this is what they think of as awesome, one thing they say is true they are VERY minimalist in their decorations , baby girl VERY disappointed !!!!

Cakebuds is the best! Ordered my mom a birthday cake the morning of, and they delivered right on time the best carrot cake she’d ever had (the whole thing was a surprise, and they even included a birthday card when I asked!) I asked them to use almond buttercream frosting and it was super light and creamy—mom and everyone in her office loved every bite! 10/10 recommend for personal or office treats and delivery is very punctual and good flavor!

I CAN SEE WHY THEY LOST FIRST ROUND on TV. THERE CAKES ARE ALL SHOW! picked up my sons birthday cake the day before the party. My son was with me and squealed with delight at the cakes appearance . I should have spoken up but he liked what it looked like and it was too late to do anything else. I knew this place was supposed to be top notch so I just told myself that it would be exceptional on the inside. Decided not to say anything about the fondant that the cake was 100 percent covered in. I had specifically asked that ther be no fondant used. I asked for chocolate with chocolate icing and marshmallow filling. What I got was chocolate cake with white filling that had zero flavor maybe lard was the taste but that was as close as I could come in flavor. The tiny bit of chocolate icing under the 1/4 inch fondant had the same flavor. It looked chocolate but did not taste it. The inside of the cake was a big moist clump in the middle, it was actually “wet”.. No one ate the cake. It was left on everyone’s plate. I was so embarrassed to have this fancy looking “fake” cake. If I had not specifically asked for NO FONDANT I would not be so upset. I did give them free reign on what the cake looked like with the exception it needed to be a bowling theme and NO FONDANT. So expensive and such a let down. I threw it in the garbage. I left a message on their machine trying for some closure and received no reply. They do not care.

Perfect day with the perfect cake! Thanks for helping make today's birthday celebration great! We asked for 25 serving # cake and ended up with a cake that fed way more than 25. It was so pretty I didnt want to put candles in it.

they have a 10 to 14 day in advance cake order.... for get them if you need it in 7 days. They will not accommodate. I'm from out of state and wanted to surprise my cousin since this would be her first Birthday alone since her husband died. He was not sympathetic at all.

I ordered a smash cupcake and 12 cupcakes in the shape of a dream catcher for my daughter's 1st bday. I showed the woman pictures I fount on Pinterest and they did better than the originals!!! Plus it was delicious.
