I emailed the main company email to schedule a wedding consult and discuss pricing. They did not answer, so I called the store, not mentioning they didn't respond to my email. The store then told me the best way to schedule was to email them, so I forwarded my previous email back to them and apologized for being a bother since they may have just been busy. They got back to me and let me know what pricing would be like, which I appreciated since some places are not upfront with pricing. She said she would be happy to meet with us, so I replied with the day of the week we would like and asked for times that would work. She never replied and at that point we let them go as an option and moved on. I didn't want to stay on top of them to answer my emails, and they are a vendor that should be working to get our business, not the other way around. Maybe this isn't the norm, but I think it's not acceptable for that to ever happen.

It was empty inside which didn’t surprise me after my bad experience: I just wanted to use the bathroom, and as I am a woman, I might have needed it urgently; and the barista inside told me ”you cannot use the bathroom if you are not a customer! “ and he didn’t even say “sorry”. Such a wasted person! Even though we wanted to buy a cup of coffee with my husband after using the bathroom, we gave up, simply left and responded “Thank you for being a bad person!” Because without bad people, you would never understand the real value of nice people!!! Then, we simply went to “Coffea” cafe, only 1 block away and full of customers. There, nobody says anything when you use the toilets and nobody kicks you out if you sit inside for hours; besides, they offer free water and welcome you warmly! Bottom line, go to Coffea instead! The name “HALF Baked” already sounds disgusting enough!

Very disappointed!! We ordered cupcakes ahead of time and set a date to pick them up 4 days ahead of time. When we went to pick them up the store was locked and dark, even though they told us they would be open and the hours on the door indicated they were open as well. Their phone was going to voicemail and wouldn't let us leave a message. When we called the next day nobody answered even though they were supposed to be open as well. When we got ahold of them the following day and explained the situation they hung up on us. So disappointed! They used to be a place we frequented.

It was recently a close friend's birthday and I thought they would appreciate some wonderful cupcakes from a store I'd previously held in high regard. However, this store really threw me off. I was taken aback by the employees lack of respect and their passive demeanor. I normally don't post reviews because it's easier to discuss interactions face to face, but the management at this establishment showed me the darker side of the mostly amiable community in downtown Sioux Falls. Their ego has superseded their taste.

I had the salted caramel crumble. It was great, but so incredibly rich that I could only eat half of it. I also had the chai with a shot of espresso, and maybe it's just me but it was just too sweet. Good experience and cool ambience, I'd go back.

An alright cupcake and coffee shop that also serves ice cream. Overall, there was not a great selection of cupcake flavors. Further, the icing was quite sweet, to the point of not being very enjoyable. The staff member present was not very friendly, seemed more annoyed actually, at our presence. Nothing earth shattering about it.

We used half baked for our wedding. The cupcakes were great but, the customer service was not the best. It was very hard to get anyone to respond to us. Usually at least a month between emails and multiple follow ups. I finally was able to finalize everything and get an invoice a few days before the wedding.

My son and I stopped here for a much anticipated birthday treat and were quickly disappointed. It was an hour before closing and the guy behind the counter was dismissive and rushed, even though the place was empty. There were only about 8-10 cupcakes on display, in only a few different flavors, and he made sure to let us know there was barely any selection left. That should've been our cue to leave. We bought 2 cupcakes, at full cost that I believe came straight from a freezer, and vowed not to return.

Will never do business here again. Ordered cupcakes for a party ($300) worth. Had pick up time for 10:00 because party was at 11:00. Got a call at 9:58 saying i couldnt come until 10:30. I was late to sons graduation party. Emailed 2 times and no one ever responded. Horrible customer service.

Delicious cupcakes with FUN flavors. Beautiful interior. Perfect location. I chose a Raspberry Lemon cupcake and a Monster Cookie cupcake. The first was my favorite of the two. They also have good coffee, but the cupcakes are the true stars!

These were the best cupcakes we have ever tasted! We originally tried to contact a different cupcake baker for our upcoming wedding and they dropped the ball. Not these guys! They responded immediately and were flexible with scheduling a time to meet with us to discuss details. We met with one of the owners, a super chill, nice guy, and he was very knowledgeable, welcoming and put us at ease. They sent us home with a DOZEN different cupcakes to try, and an offer of more if we needed to try more flavors. We ended up having 14 dozen cupcakes made for our big day (Lemon Pie, French Toast, Red Velvet, and Caramel Chocolate Chip) and a small 6" cake for cutting. Our guests' responses were phenomenal- "The best cupcakes we've ever had", "Can I take some home?" and "These are better than the ones we had at OUR wedding... where did they come from??" So glad we went with Half Baked!

I walked into Half Baked for the first time yesterday while shopping downtown. I absolutely loved the layout of the shop and atmosphere. I ordered a half a dozen cupcakes from the young man working. He was very friendly and helpful. The easter cupcakes were a hit at the event I brought them to. Next time I would love to stay and order some coffee or Ice cream! I will be back!!

It is difficult to find a coffee menu for Half Baked so I thought I would take one myself and post it. Their cupcakes are amazing and deserve the attention that they get but the coffee should definitely be raved about as well. Get the iced cafe breve and I promise it will make your day. The cupcakes pictured are lime coconut and French toast. The French toast has ruined all other cupcakes for me ; )

This is another one of those downtown merchants that does a reasonably good job of imitating a contemporary business. These folks sell cupcakes and ice cream (and some other stuff that I've never personally purchased) and they do a pretty good job of it. The cupcakes are awesome (but they are SO SWEET) and there's a nice interesting variety available. The ice cream is also very good, although the selection isn't as varied as the more popular chains. The only drawback is that the place is sometimes understaffed, but everyone we've met there has done a good job keeping their cool and making sure everyone gets what they need. Overall, this is a great place.
