My daughter and I had the Red Velvet Gluten Free cupcakes with cream cheese frosting and they were absolutely fabulous!! All of their gluten free baked goods are delicious! Definitely a must try!! They have a wide range of baked goods with or without gluten! I have seen specialty cakes they make and decorate and they are always awesome!!

This bakery is exactly what Seneca needs!! Everything is always fresh and delicious and all of the employee's ar was super friendly and very helpful!!! If you're in the downtown area and you dont go by there you are definitely missing out!! Keep up the good work!!

I am completely satisfied with Cakes By Shirley!! Last April they did a beautiful four tiered wedding cake for my wedding and each layer we did a different flavor and all of them were moist and delicious! My mother was so pleased with the wedding cake, that this past weekend she ordered my baby shower cake from them! The cake was decorated very cute, and once again tasted SO good!! Their hummingbird cake is my favorite, but their white and chocolate cakes are also amazing! :) Like I said, we were happy customers two times in a row! Please don't ever change! :)

Amazing flavors, beautiful cake, easy to work with, what else is there to say? Our wedding cake was great - 3 tier, custom decoration, 3 flavors (Raspberry Champagne, Key Lime, Peaches and Cream). Gorgeous inside and out and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend!!!

I have been doing business with these folks for years, back when it was Shirley's and have never had a problem....until now. I bought my daughter's birthday cake from them, as always and it was beautiful. We got the fresh strawberry cake with buttercream icing. The cake part itself was delicious, but the icing tasted like semi-sweet Crisco! It was horrible , not to mention inedible!! I called and spoke with someone - all I got was an apology and an offer of 2 free cupcakes! I paid almost $60 for this cake!! Unfortunately, I will no longer be doing business with them.

Absolutely amazing bakery!!! There isn't a thing they can't or won't do. They offer a wide variety of baked goods and their new location is BEAUTIFUL!!!! You can pick up cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other baked goods to take home or place an order for a custom design cake or baked good. The new location on Ram Cat Alley is a must see and their baked goods are moist and delicious!!! See for yourself!!!!

I ordered a strawberry gender reveal cake from this bakery and it was amazing. Now, I lived out of state but wanted to have the party with family in S.C. The ladies at the bakery worked with me, via telephone and email, to make sure it was exactly what I envisioned. They were professional and just so sweet! They made sure to keep my baby's gender a secret too. Even from me!! The cake tasted absolutely scrumptious and was surprised when it revealed that we are having a baby boy. Thank you, Walnut Street Bakery, for making our party so special!!!

Overpriced... Decent Cakes... Customer Service needs work... At our first tasting they served us cupcakes, which were dry. Our second tasting was much better (since they actually served us real cake that time.) They quoted us $1,500 PLUS an art fee for a 4 tier cake. Maybe it's just my opinion, but a cake shouldn't cost more than a wedding dress and DJ combined. However, we were 24 and not knowing any better, my fiancé and I paid the $50 deposit. After speaking to our parents, we decided to go with Publix (got the same thing for $500) When my fiancé called to cancel the cake, he asked is we could get a cupcake since the deposit had already been paid. The woman said, "No, it's a non-refundable deposit. And the deposit doesn't go towards the cake. It goes towards the consultation." So, I would like to know what the consultation was. Maybe it was the art fee that we never received a quote for. Maybe it was for the two tastings.

I have ordered birthday cakes for our staff at work, my daughter's lingerie shower, family birthdays and several other occasions. Not once have we been disappointed. We've tried several flavors, all good, but the strawberry cake with strawberry filling is our go to favorite.

How many people want an earthy, naked, Reese’s flavored mini wedding cake for their elopement? WE DID. And it was absolutely the most amazing cake ever. I’m still drooling over it. Coming from Florida for our elopement was challenging but with timely responses and phone calls from the bakery we were at ease. Walnut Street Bakery exceeded our expectations and our taste buds. My husband ordered a cherry pie for Valentine's day. The cost was a bit more than I expected, but they asked when we wanted it. It was the BEST cherry pie I've ever eaten. It wasn't from a can, it wasn't over sweet. The cherries weren't all mashed up. I would truely recommend the pie and shop.

I've ordered 3 cakes from this place since it opened almost 10 years ago. All looked horrible and tasted worse. The yellow cake tasted like cornbread and the icing looked like I had doodled it on at home. Could've gotten better bday cakes at the grocery store.

I loved this place up until today. I order cakes from here often. Walked in to place order for a cake that was to be picked up Saturday June 23 talk with the lady showed pictures of the cake told her where I got the idea from so she could go back and look. I stressed to the lady that I’m sure I would be satisfied because I buy cakes here a lot as long as everything was spelled correctly. Now when I went in to place my order she gave me a look like I was lost or something. I didn’t pay that any attention. So as I get ready to leave from placing my order of an vanilla cake with strawberry filling. She tells me she need a deposit for the cake, ok cool which I’ve never had to do. I tell her I will be at 2pm to pick up cake . She says mam we close at 2 , we’ll ok I’ll be here before two. Saturday comes 1:30 pm I go in to pick up cake. Mam your cake was a 2:00 pick up she still working on it can you come back. 2:15 I go pick up cake. Get home Son says mom it’s spelled wrong. Cut cake I have a strawberry cake with a little filling. I call on Tuesday to let them know. She says Kathy will call you back on Wednesday. Kathy calls me and says mam I’m sorry but the order has strawberry cake. We never make vanilla cake with strawberry filling unless it’s ordered. Goes on to tell me she had the recipe since 1999. I know exactly what I ordered, I’m not sure what her employee wrote down. Made me to be a whole liar didn’t apologize or anything try to make it right or nothing! I spent $51.10 on this cake for my son 13th bday today. I will never ever go back here again. They were very unprofessional . I guess she forgot that she just made me a Victoria Secret cake in September with vanilla cake and strawberry filling. I’m done with this place I’ve spent to much money here to be treated like this.

I absolutely LOVE this bakery! They are so creative when it comes to flavors and the quality/taste is off the charts! I refuse to get cakes/cupcakes from anywhere else. We usually go at least once a week/two weeks just to get cupcakes. The staff is always so friendly and cheerful. I definitely recommend them for any and everything.
