I visited strossner's to purchase a slice of strawberry swirl my absolute favorite and a slice of cheesecake. The young lady which was very nice informed me that her manager wouldn’t allow her to slice the cake, due to other slices being available and would need those sold first. The manager didn’t even acknowledge me, told the young lady what she couldn’t do, and walked off. Told her to offer me the lemonade cake etc. Then my daughter asked for a slice of cheesecake and was told the same thing, no. So needless to say I wouldn’t purchase anything I didn’t want so my husband, daughter, and I left. I have mix feelings about it and probably won’t be returning. Side note I told the young lady that I wasn’t upset with her, but the so called “manager” needs customer service skills and simple etiquette.

Cakes are really good. My recommendation its the pink lemonade. They have a whole cakes ready to take. They have a variety of cupcakes, cookies, bread and slices of cake. They have a calm atmosphere. Great for bruch and catching with friends.

Everyone knows about their baked goods, but the "regular food" is also just as great. I go regularly for the quiche, and get it to go. In and out, in less than 10 minutes, and always high quality. In my opinion it is the absolute best food in Greenville, for the price. Menu changes daily, so try it for lunch and go back often.

They were not friendly, and over priced for what you get. It was our 1st visit and my husband had just left from having Chemo near them. He didn't even feel like being there but did for me because I had always wanted to try them as we had passed them several times going to the Cancer Institute. The man upfront acted like we were wasting his time by asking questions. So we hurried and ordered due to him rushing us. What we order was not good. Not much at all and overpriced for what you get. Being business owners and coming from a Restuarant family I wonder if the owners even have a clue how their business is being operated. I would definitely get secret shoppers bc other than the one young lady in the bakery everyone was rude. We brougbt items for our 3 yr old. The young girl took her time and boxed them nicely for him. That is why the 1 star. This is my 1st, to my recollection, negative review. It was such a disappointment but the treatment was beyond something we wouldn't want anyone else to experience. Why I'm leaving one.

I like their cakes and I have been coming here for years spending money, but yesterday afternoon my son and I waited 15 minutes at the counter just standing there waiting to purchase something and no one helped us. There were only 2 customers in the entire store. There were employees walking around who didn’t have the sense enough to wait on a customer. We almost left. A lady came out to finally wait on us but I was not happy by that time. Might give them one last try. Customer service is very important to me.

We had a delicious luncheon. The bakery always has a beautiful display of pastries of all descriptions. I bought two Danish pastries for my husband. He loved it. I highly recommend having brunch or lunch at Strossner's.

My first time here and drove over an hour. I bought a whole red velvet cake. Should have bought a slice first ti try it out before I spent my $40. I didn’t like it neither did my kids and it was for their birthday. It didn’t taste nothing like red velvet. I forgot to tell them leave it out cause it was cold and I hate cold cake. It had more icing than cake. But, the cake was moist. I wish I would have purchased something else.

They have so many pastries and sweet treats to choose from you dont just want one!! I got a pumpkin cake that was moist and full of flavor. Good balance of sweet and pumpkin flavor. I was disappointed that they only had brewed coffee but at least it was fresh. Very nice place to get together and have lunch or a pastry with friends. Need a gift for a friend they have a good selection that is sure to please any sweet tooth.

First time in Strossner's. I went in for a quick to go order. The man behind the counter took my order. He didn't seem very happy to be there, but I overlooked his less than friendly attitude. I ordered my sandwich. He took my money. He handed me my receipt after asking my name. I stood there at the counter and waited, and waited, and waited. He asked me again what I wanted. I told him I was waiting for a To go order. No response. Mind you, I was on my way to the airport to catch a flight. The place was practically empty. I eventually flagged down another employee and told her I had been waiting for more than fifteen minutes for a grilled cheese sandwich. She asked the people on the kitchen side if the sandwich was ready. They said it had been sitting on their counter. Noone told me where or how to pick up my order. I mentioned to the employees that they should better communicate the process for to go orders. They agreed. I ended up with a semi warm grilled and greasy sandwich. The one grape tomato garnish made it so much better...lol First and last time to Strossner's.

Cake was fine but the party theme was all black and somehow the yellow cake with black background and gold or silver accents came out light brown with black accents. Not a complete disaster but sucks paying 50$ for a cake that doesn’t match the theme of the party

Soooooo delicious!!! Their Sticky Buns are the best I have EVER HAD! Everything you love about a cinnamon roll and pecan roll combined into one! We also really liked the chocolate chew cookies, which taste like brownies in cookie form! A little pricey for us on some other items, but not these 2 items! :)

Strossner's is a gem! We are visiting Greenville and decided it looked like a great place for lunch. My son and I loved their spinach and bacon quiche and my husband, who is very particular about his reubens, was pleased that they know how to make them "right". The chicken pot pie that my other two children ordered wasn't quite as good... needed more flavor, more chicken, and less potatoes I think. But we had a pleasant experience and wish we had a Strossner's in Columbia! Bought some desserts to enjoy tonight. :)

I have been eating cakes and sweets from Strossner’s for at least 25 years and even though we have moved to the Lowcountry, my sweet tooth screams for Strossner’s every time we visit. I even make it a point to stay right across the street for the perfect dessert after our steak dinner. I was elated to find the savory snacks of chicken salad and pimento cheese snacks. They are a delicious quick bite!

Unfortunately I brag about the food and cakes here. But I walk up to the door at one minute till 6pm and I’m greeted at the door with, sorry we are closed now. I said I have traveled an hour to get here. She again said, sorry we are closed. Maybe had they known we were just taking out items, I don’t know. But won’t come here again for this reason. I have ordered from them many times. But today the customer service I received while ordering a cake over the phone was horrible. The person that answered had a terrible attitude like she didn’t want to be there and cut me short on everything I tried to ask. I asked to speak to the manager and she lied and stated the manager was on break. I know it was a lie because I got a female friend to call back 2 minutes later and she immediately got the manager. Then the manager that got on the phone tried to lie for the other employee and said they were busy. They will never get another dollar from me!!!!

The bakery is a definite five-star experience! The selection of cakes and cookies and desserts is fabulous! And they make eclairs with real custard inside – not pastry cream. Their chocolate chewy cookies with walnuts are a dream come true-chewy inside with a slightly crispy outside -always a winner! Awesome cakes to order. Bakery prices are a little on the high side but so worth it! The café has a limited menu and good food, but in my opinion it’s overpriced.

My first memories of Strossner's were as a child- I loved their eclairs! Of course, they are known for their cakes (if you like carrot cake, they have the best), and the quiche is excellent! Recently, I tried a Reuben sandwich...SO good!! And, they have small gift items if you need a small gift for someone special!!

Visited Monday afternoon with only one person in line ahead of me. After the older man finished with the person ahead of me he walked off. BTW, he started making meals again without changing his gloves. I was there for ten minutes waiting to place my order. Other people were coming in behind me too. Finally I asked vocally if they were open. No one even looked my way. I asked again loader. Finally someone took my order. I waited another fifteen minutes and asked if my order was ready. The lady said it was at the back. I was told my name would be called when ready. Could be a nice place if they had some management. Not interested in going back. BTW, cakes were $40 plus. Ripe off !!! And,,, no military discount for retired military. Concerning your reply, this wasn’t the first negative incident at your business. That’s why I decided to post a review. I’m not interested in your apology for repeated poor service. Looking at the other post I’m not the only one receiving poor service. AS far as five star service,,, never gonna happen.

This was a great place with great food. The staff was very helpful in getting my order taken. The gentleman that helped me failed to put my cupcakes in the box securely. Then he fails to money my change in my extended hand! He sets it on the receipt, slides it to me and says have a nice day as he walks away to help someone else. This was my first time ever going in but not my first time eating their products.

I spent $12 on the meatloaf sandwich today on my to go order...I ended up throwing it in the trash. The edges of the meatloaf were so burnt I couldn't eat it and the slice covered half of the bread. When I called about the burnt meatloaf, the response was I could return it for another sandwich. Since it was To Go, I was miles away from their location...oh I did get a "I'm so sorry"....very disappointed in a local business that I try to support. The response from Strossners regarding my disappointment in lunch and service after has been amazing. I have had phones calls from mg and a great conversation with her. She sent me a gift certificate for another lunch. As I told her, I love this local business and have supported it for over 30 years and will continue to do so. I am happy they reached out to solve the problem. Thank you Strossners!

Always enjoyed this place, but today was my last time. Another customer brought a dog inside the dining area and let it sit at the table eating off of the table. Several customers complained and the manager went to view the customer, when he saw the dog at the table he refused to advise the person that the dog had to be outside. Makes me wonder how clean they are in the kitchen.

My husband and I wanted a place to grab a coffee and get a little work done that wasn’t Starbucks, and this place is the perfect independent, local alternative. We split a delicious giant cinnamon roll, enjoyed a quiet morning working and still had great coffee and a comfortable set up near an electrical outlet. I’ll take this over Starbucks any day! And I will definitely be back for something else from the bakery counter. The staff was incredibly nice too.

Visiting the area. First impression; this place is very nice inside. Second impression; not the cleanest it could be. Like someone spilled something sticky and it did not get cleaned up properly. My shoes stuck to the floor. I walked out of one because of this. Very limited menu for cafe. Most specials sold out by 2:00. I ordered a tuna melt. Flavor was good but the inside was not melted. Pasta salad was ok. Dressing was sweet mayo and not Italian dressing as advertised. Staff was nice enough.
