I love The Spoon. It's everything good and wonderful about buying local. The service is always consistently awesome and personal and the baked goods are delicious. I often have a hard time deciding which baked goods to buy every time I visit. But I've never been disappointed. If you don't know what to choose, you can't go wrong with a bacon cheddar biscuit, a salted caramel brownie or a strawberry almond oat bar. (P.S. Their gorgeous party fours make the best gifts.)

Our all time favorite Columbia bakery! Not sure how we survived without them. Their pimento cheese biscuits are legendary - you can pre order mini ones for dinner parties, holidays or tail gating (perfect with ham). Love to go on Friday morning for croissant specials (love the brie & jam especially). Husband ordered a carrot cake for a special occasion and it was devine. Will admit that we are regulars on Saturday mornings and love to see we are not alone. Many familiar faces when we are there. Follow their instagram account for all the specials they have - you will not be disappointed. Super sweet birthday cakes, special occasion treats and made to order desserts.

Can't say enough good things about this bakery! It's in an old house and is super adorable. They have a great selection of cookies, muffins, biscuits, cake, etc. They made my gender reveal cupcakes and not only were they adorable, they were insanely delicious! They have an array of coffee drinks which are great too. I recommend the dirty chai latte. The staff is friendly, kind, and helpful. There are 2-3 tables inside and 2-3 tables on the porch.

Loved everything about this charming bakery. From the inviting front porch to the friendly staff to the delicious selection of treats. We tried the salted caramel chocolate cupcake (my oldest daughters favorite), the salted caramel brownie (my favorite, very fudgey...so good!), an excellent chocolate chip cookie and the huge frosted sugar cookies. Everything was very fresh and clearly made with talent & care. Also had a very good latte. If I lived in Columbia, this would be my place!

I live in Pa and my boyfriend lives in SC. I won't be able to see him for his birthday so I wanted to do something special for him. I called multiple bakeries to see if they would accept a credit card over the phone due to me living out of state. All of them said no except for this place. I spoke/emailed two women(Kristen and Erin) which were extremely helpful.Plus this was the only bakery around the Columbia area to make a pumpkin flavored cake year round!

Silver Spoon has some of the best pastries around. My favorite (and I think others as well) are their croissants, which they only make on Friday. They have all sorts of pastries and each one is delicious.

I will be using Silver Spoon for many years to come. I called them a mere few days away from when I needed a birthday cake, and not only did they squeeze me in, but I received a cake that exceeded expectations. That cake ended up stealing the show for the entire weekend. I was so impressed that I have recommended Silver Spoon to everyone; hence why I am writing this review even 2 weeks after the event. This place is great!

Amazing frosted sugar cookies! The staff is super friendly and I LOVE that they take vacation and aren't open 24/7. Anyone who works as hard as they do to deliver such great service and goods deserves to take a break!

The absolute best bakery in columbia. Try the salted chocolate chip cookies. Go on Wednesday’s for mini cinnamon rolls. Go on Friday’s for amazing croissants. Heck just go every day. It’s always amazing.

I was so happy I found this lovely place while visiting for my daughter's graduation at Fort Jackson. They created a wonderful, to die for, red velvet cake, decorated with congratulations to honor the event. Not only was the cake great, the staff was very helpful & hospitable.

This place is great, their coffee is good, their service is excellent, and their pastries are some of the best I ever had. My wife and I love them so much we asked them to do a large Chocolate Croissant for our wedding instead of a traditional wedding cake. They took it in stride and provided an amazingly huge and delicious croissant. Will always go back here when I'm in town.

The baked goods deserve 5 stars; however, their selection is almost always poor. I've been here 6 times and only once was there an abundanct selection. I strongly encourage them to put things in the oven before they run out. A bakery should not be stock out of cookies at 1 pm.

You have to get here early to have a lot of choice. When i got there, around 11, only a the monkey bread muffins and Carmel pound cake were left. That said, they were both delicious. Probably will change score to 5 once I try some more items.

OMG. If you haven't been here, you need to go! Fantastic baked goods and they aren't expensive. If you get there too close to closing time, there is NOTHING left. Best bet is to reserve online (Facebook) if you don't think you can make it when they first open for the day.

I really love this place- the customer service is great and the desserts are to die for. My only complaint is the past 3-4 times I’ve been, they’ve been out of their best item- the frosted sugar cookies. I’ve called before 2 on 3 different weekdays the past 2 weeks and they’ve already run out. I wish they’d make more of their best seller- for those of us that don’t get off until closer to 4, it’s hard to actually have the option of getting one!
