Our entire experience with Pawleys Island Bakery couldn’t have been more positive. A great, local, family place that was genuine and polite to work with. Our cake tasting was a lot of fun as we met with the head cake maker one morning and sampled every cake & icing flavor under the sun. She was very knowledgeable and professional and gave us all the time we wanted. She was able to make the cake look exactly like we wanted from a picture we sent her. It was delicious and moist with easy and reliable delivery. We also ordered a couple lunch platters with sandwiches, wraps, and salads that all turned out great as well. Big hit with everyone and not a crumb was left! Would highly recommend them for a wedding cake and really anything they make for that matter. All fresh and delicious.

Stopped in during a recent stay. Bakery has a great selection and very friendly staff. There were so many delicious options, we decided to get a little bit of everything. Each item was very fresh and tasty. We had just eaten lunch, but noticed a nice selection of sandwiches available to order.

Pawley's Island Bakery did our wedding cake (on short notice as well) and it was exactly what I wanted. The colors matched my bridesmaids perfectly and the white chocolate seashells were great. My cake was the only thing in my wedding that was easy to plan and Max made me feel taken care of. The cake was perfect, and people went back for seconds!! My two teenage sons and I were in Myrtle Beach August 2013 and took a day trip to Charleston. On our way, we found this bakery. It doesn't look like much from the outside. It's in a small strip mall with a tiny parking lot and is next to a seafood shop. There is really no signage to grab your attention. We went in and were blown away by the selection and quality of the product in the case. We tried the 'magic' bar, a lemon bar, chocolate chip cookies, an eclair and an apple fritter. Everything was outstanding and every crumb consumed! We ate in our car in the lot but realized that attached to the bakery is a little dining area with plenty of tables and chairs. If you get to Pawley's, try this place. It looks like a drive by but it is definitely worth the stop.

Wish we could give this place no stars. We just were married on 9/17/16 and Booked Pawleys Island Bakery to do our wedding cake. We booked it a year out, then followed up 3 months out, then followed up 1 month out, then followed up 2 weeks out and the week of. Every time they assured us they have never missed a wedding cake and was almost offended by us asking. During the week of the wedding the wedding planner confirmed as well with no problems. The owner Max assured us we would have a wonderful cake the day of our wedding delivered to Our Charleston venue. One hour before the wedding we get notified there will be no wedding cake because pawleys island bakery forgot. With everything that had occurred we were hugely upset because one they assured us it would be done and second we will never get to cut our wedding cake along with the one year anniversary cake cutting. The worst thing about it all is the owner is denying he had any contact with us when we have confirmed emails from him and his bakery, nor any apology.

I needed a cake for my wedding and this ended up being such a wonderful choice. I had no idea what I was doing and they were so accommodating, patient and kind taking my order. The man literally sat down at a table with me and helped me plan out our cake. He was so patient and calm. Just being around that kind of energy after everything else was so stressful, completely made my day. The cake was stunning and so delicious. I can't wait to order a cake for the next event.

We love coming to this bakery every time we come to Litchfield beach. Its a tradition for us to always go by the bakery and get a Key lime pie and let our kids pick out a treat. The past few times, the customer service has been been awful. We came in yesterday and the lady behind the counter made us feel completely unwelcome from the minute we walked in the door. She didn't ask if she could help us, just stared at us waiting for us to say what we would like. The only time she spoke to us was to tell us our total. We LOVE all the sweets from there and are never disappointed in them. The customer service just gets worse with each visit.

The Pecan Butter Bars are my absolute favorite. I drive from Georgetown to get this special treat once a week. But on this most recent trip, August 18, 2018 @ 3:37 pm, I had a terrible experience. I was treated as if I was not wanted as a customer. When my mother and I walked in, we were not greet by the young lady at the front, she just looked at us. I ordered a 2 Pecan Butter Bars and my mother ordered a plain doughnut. The young lady was about to put the doughnut in a bag but my mother said she does not need it and will be eating it now. With that being said, she tossed the doughnut on the counter top causing it to slide to her. We questioned that but continued to proceed on. The young lady rang my order up, my total can to $7.25. I handed her $8.00 and she tossed my $0.75 in my hand as if it was a crime to touch me. Never have I ever been treated this was. I was so disappointed.

Both were unique to them and was exactly what each one wanted and many of the guests went back for 2nd's (and I suspect 3rds as well). They are very accommodating and open to ideas and suggestions. Hugh assortment of baked goodies under glass to choose from. In the South, white coconut layer cake is popular but only available in whole cake. We purchased Danish and cheesecake cups. There is as deli adjoining bakery for light lunch choices. We headed to Pawleys Island tavern for burgers.

We were so glad to find this cute, delicious little bakery! We love getting doughnuts at the beach, and coming from Winston Salem area, we steer clear of Krispy Kreme because it's so available there. We got a half dozen doughnuts (2 with sprinkles, my son insisted ) a bagel and a muffin. Everything is so yummy and the breakfast pastries lined the top of the shelf at the store egging me on to buy more. Guess we will have to come back!

I wish there were a half star option. The coffee was food and the donut my daughter had was alright....needed to heated up a little. Unfortunately we found a hair and an eggshell in my wrap. There was also a spider web on a chair at a table by us. The attention to those types of details made this a less than positive experience.

My husband and I stopped off on the way to Charleston from myrtle Beach. I have been down here for 10 years and nothing comes close to this bakery/cafe from North Myrtle Beach to Pawley‘s Island. They pay attention to detail from the sandwiches to the cakes, cookies and coffee. I had a hummus wrap and my wife had a crabcake Panini. Absolutely out of this world. The dessert was just as good. I highly recommend the Pawleys Island bakery. Wish they would open up another location near Myrtle Beach.

My wife and I bought cupcakes from here for our wedding over 4 years ago. We now make this place a traditional stop during our anniversary trip to where we honeymooned. Each year we get a few things, mostly whatever jumps out at the counter. This year we had a salted caramel cupcake, some sort of cinnamon crunch muffin, and a piece of strawberry shortcake. We split these items up over the course of the day as they were wonderfully rich and decadent. Each item was more delicious than the last and these sweet treats are a perfect reason for me to watch my diet the rest of the year, just so I can partake at Pawleys Island Bakery!

I ordered a birthday cake for my daughter while we were in the area, and it was wonderful! They nailed the design, and the European buttercream was exquisite. On top of that, it cost about the same as it would have if we had ordered the cake from a grocery store bakery where the frosting comes premade out of a bucket! On a side note, I also got a cinnamon sugar cake donut, and it was fantastic too.
