I've tried the bakery several times and every time I go in there is hardly anything up for sale so I asked about it and they told me to order whatever I wanted and they would have it ready for me the Tuesday after Christmas. Well I ordered a chocolate croissant, two lemon scones, and a cinnamon roll. I have been so excited to get these pastries and had waited almost a week. When I got there the head of the bakery was sitting at a table eating her own cinnamon roll on her computer, and instead of my chocolate croissant there was nothing. First they approached me and told me that they didn't have my "cheese danish" I was very confused. I then told them that I did not order a cheese Danish. Then they said "oh that's right you ordered two cinnamon rolls" I told her that I did not, I ordered a chocolate croissant. They told me that they were not making croissants that day, I do not care if they were not making them that is what I ordered them for and they told me that it would be ready. There was plenty of room in the pastry case for the croissants and I would have loved to buy extras. Instead of offering me a discount or a free croissant since they were the ones who messed up my order they told me I could order it for the next day. The amateur bakers also gave me quite the attitude on Facebook just for asking if they would do a special order of crepes. It seems as though all of the other people I have ran into that have been to the bakery have experienced similar issues with this bakery. I would not reccomend this place to anybody. It is definitely a last resort. I would rather drive 30 minutes to Amelias in rock hill then walk five minutes to downtown York.
