A real Amish bakery in the middle of South Carolina... Who knew? I certainly didn't but am very thankful I was let in on the secret! I drove about an hour out of the way to get there but it was worth it! You must try this place!!!

What an unexpected treat! We met Nelson, the owner, and not sure if that is an everyday thing, but love it when supporting small businesses! Anyway, we were referred here because of their apple fritters... But the selection was overwhelming! We walked out with apple fritters, cookies, Danish, and this absolutely perfect bite of a thing called a Ladyfinger! I have never had one before and took a bite on my way home... WOW! Homey atmosphere, excellent service, exceptional tasty morsels... I wish I had gotten more! Just another reason to go back! And we will!

The lovely smell just brings you in and the bakery at South is small and quaint but still large enough to be able to place your order and receive what you came in for. Only disappointment was that the cherry turnovers where all gone by the time we got there and we were there quite early. (9:30)
