REVIEWS OF Harbour Town Bakery & Cafe IN South Carolina

Mary Beth Minor

Great food...nice staff. Very relaxing and enjoyable with a varied menu.

Arthur Hurlburt

Great place for danishes and coffee. I have not had their made to order breakfast yet, but it looked amazing. The staff is very helpful and friendly. It is just the type of place that everyone would enjoy going to on vacation. A must stop if you are ever around.

Blake Gifford

Delightful, get the breakfast BLT. Would come back for lunch.

Carol Tally

Delicious sandwiches and fresh fruit, friendly service, amazing variety of freshly baked treats! While vacationing in the area, we decided to try this place for lunch. Two in our party of 4 ordered the adult BLT. The other 2 ordered chicken salad on croissant and roast beef. Everyone was so busy enjoying their lunch that there was no conversation for a good 5 minutes - just the contented moans and lip smacking. We will definitely return when in the area again.

Bill

Very well managed and consistent good service and fine limited menu fro breakfast until lunch...closes mid afternoon. Walk to Harbour Town boats and venues. Indoor and outdoor seating...casual but upscale.

Sean Locklin

This would be a better rating if the people were nicer. There's an old lady with white hair that works the register and she is constantly annoyed by the customers, especially kids. Food is ok (no healthy options), but when a place only has Tabasco as a hot sauce and is snooty about it when you ask for a different kind, it further confirms their horrible service. Additionally, they don't accept any form of digital payments. They probably have the ability to take Samsung pay, but they would probably ask you to leave if you tried. I would recommend a place outside of Sea Pines, because there would be better food opinions (i.e. healthier options) and significantly nicer people. It seems all the grouchy/mean people are in Sea Pines.

Raymond Lamb

Only got something quick here, the cookies, but our friends and us enjoyed it.

Lynn Watkins

Great seating outside...first "adult grilled cheese" I had...cheddar, sliced tomato on sour dough...was great!

Matt Langreder

Pastries were decent as well as the breakfast. But oh my God the coffee was bad. For anything other than drip coffee they have a gas station style coffee machine, so if you are looking for espresso or espresso based drinks, stay far away from here. It was also very busy and crowded so if you're looking for a quiet and relaxing morning this isn't the place for you.

Dennis Baker

Wide selection of freshly made baked goods, sandwiches and coffees. Delicious food and friendly service.

Dean Cecconi

Had an enjoyable breakfast.

Nicole Scheerer

Great food for a great price. Options for vegetarians, but watch out they cook their potatoes with sausage! You can refill your coffee all day too!

Silvi Land

Love this place ✔

Bill Burns

Nice little cafe with good food and atmosphere. Leave the kids at the Villa and sneak up here, with your Love, for an intimate breakfast. Roll in at 7AM (to beat the scrubs)

Eric Crawford

We truly enjoyed our breakfast!

Nick Deyarmin

The food and service is great.

Valérie Loiret

Very nice food in historic building

Hayden Foster

Bagels and muffins with a few full menu items. The coffee is good though

Edward Yannett

Ladies, there are great!

Missy E

Good food, but pricey

Scott Regan

This is the go-to place for a really good breakfast.

Peter Weyandt

Nice little bakery. Cute and clean. Pretty good selection of baked goods. Coffee selection is a little lacking. They do have gluten free options and lactose free options. Good seating options both in and outside. Service was ok.

Niall Thompson

Great little spot. Stopped there for lunch and their sandwiches and pastries are excellent!

Steve Glick

I day dream all year about the southern pecan coffee and blueberry muffins from the Harbour Town Bakery and Cafe!! It's hard to go wrong with anything in Harbour Town but this cafe IS THE BEST!! Whenever I am on vacation in Hilton Head I go here every morning. It's a popular spot!

Dan Cronstein

Ok by me. Girlfriend loves their egg salad.

Paul Tortorella

Good place to grab a early morning coffee or breakfast. Loads of outdoor seating and a great menu, complete with delicious southern breakfast style pastries. Try the southern breakfast with the cheese grits!

Narlowe McFarlowe

Try the chocolate muffins and the chocolate filled crossaints. They are amazing!

j. gill

Worth the wait in line for breakfast protein. Coffee was a bit weak. Location is awesome especially with kids. Parking in the nearest lot is confusing.

Bart Girdwood

Our go - to breakfast place when we're in Hilton Head Sea Pines.

Matt Clickner

OMG, Breakfast BLT is incredible and is worth the trip to Hilton Head just for that. Bakery goods and coffee options were great as well.

david richardson

Wish I had found it sooner

Raymond Moore

Walked in just because of the convenience of the locations and was pleasantly surprised with the food here. Friendly atmosphere and great food. Had their club sandwich and it was great. Will be by again next time I'm in town.

Aric Buckholt

Stopped in for lunch based on a recommendation. Definitely a good choice. Ordered a Reuben and it was done well. Served at a good temp and just the right amount of toppings. Did pasta salad for a side and sweet tea. Tea had just the right amount of sweetness. Definitely marking this as s return to place.

Brendan McCarthy

The perfect breakfeast for a morning trip to Harbour Town. Food was not expensive. Awesome food, and iced hazelnut cream coffee was so good. There's indoor and outdoor seating which I loved too!

Jessica Martyn

The food is good (sometimes great) and the coffee is great! But they're incredibly inefficient at handling the orders and long lines - counter service is slow (this morning there was one person working the register and filling baked good orders with a line out the door and down the steps, every order requires a signed credit card slip (like with a pen!), and the person working the register has to run the card for you). Please get a more efficient point of sale system and please make a second line or something for coffee and bakery orders so we can get in and out without having to wait for the people placing orders from the grill for their entire group. I'm sure there are many ways to improve the situation, but we've been coming here for years and it's always been this way - every time I come back I think "maybe this time it will be better", but I feel like no one has ever thought about this.

Bryson Bachman

Did the job, but be advised that this is very straightforward Fair of the type you would generally see in a tourist destination. Not a great value, but not bad food either.

Jeff Rucker

Really just a gem. Great food, fairly priced. The "Adult Grilled Cheese" is my favorite and never disappoints. Good coffee too. Friendly service.

Greg Garnhart

Great bakery! The Harbour Town Bakery and Café provided me with a quality iced mocha, and at a reasonable price. The other dishes offered included fantastic looking cookies, croissants, and breakfast sandwiches. The café was crowded, but the service was fast enough that it was okay. I'd prefer to rate this establishment 4.5 stars, but without the "wow" factor, I cannot. That being said, this café will provide a good experience, and will not break the bank. I recommend it. Enjoy!

Meli Brown

The gluten free blueberry pancakes were awesome! My fiance ordered the Southern Breakfast, which turned out ok. The bacon was floppy, toast wasn't fresh, but the eggs were good. The fruit cup that it comes with is tiny, which is weird, since you're ordering that in place of grits or home fries, which would come in a much larger portion. Service was quick. Their bakery offerings look great and they're huge pastries, but we haven't actually tried then yet. Tons of seating options. Overall a good experience.

prock8654

Have no idea...person closed up shop at 2:30 pm as I was reaching for the door handle. Guess they close at that time.

Rich Lange

It's a GREAT little bakery and spot for breakfast. Yes, the line is sometimes long.....but it's a breakfast spot in a resort, so relax and enjoy your time. Great coffee, great muffins, and the On the Fly is a great breakfast sandwich. This place is one of our treasured traditions during the annual trip to Sea Pines.

Ronald Jones

Great.

Ian Arthur

Fantastic service, good food

Ozzie Rodriguez

Delicious Blueberry biscuit. Coffee was ok.

Ruben Ramos

Cute place for a quick bite to eat. Close to the shops and harbor.

D R

Delicious and well made baked goods and lunches!

Lauri Tamberrino

Excellent food and great place to grab lunch before hitting the playground. Kids loved their sandwiches!

Kenneth Dempsey

A cozy wonderful place with friendly staff..

Rene' Paul Romagosa

This little shop is a very good bakery and great coffee cafe located in Harbour Town. Over the years, it has remained consistently good.

Katrina Bentley

Delicious, quick service and relaxed atmosphere.

Vernon Iturralde

We had great bakery while there. The sticky, pecan bun was delicious!

Alisa Jones

Cute little local bakery in a historic building. Lots of decadent food and a few gluten free options.

Mike Derr

great setting and yummy. we come every year for breakfast

Alvin Da Costa

Very good.

Alice Iannetta

The best place for breakfast on Hilton Head island! Service is good too...Mary was the best. A definite must.

Joe L

Best breakfast in area. Friendly service and great variety for breakfast or lunch.

David Nelson

I perfect place for breakfast or lunch when I'm Sea Pines.

GRACI FINKLE

The worst pastry and egg sandwich ever, pastry is a flaky pie crust with a Crisco taste. Bagel was dough waste of $26.

Mady McGiverin

Long line, but was worth the wait! Everything tasted great.

Michael Barnes

Vacillates between crowded and empty. Interesting. Solid prices for a tourist destination. Good iced coffee, iced tea, and acceptable edibles.

Lacy Ballard

Has great food and coffee early morning if you are too lazy to make it yourself. (Me)

Paul Duffy

Always a pleasure. Great breakfast sandwich and a wonderful professional staff.

Chris Dunlap

Always love hitting HT Bakery and Cafe! On the Fly sandwich and Southern Pecan coffee really hit the spot!

Jeff Mills

Great breakfast two days in a row. Kind of pricey and long wait on one busy morning. I was a huge fan of a deli that was at this location a million years ago, but equally love this place.

Mark Cloninger

Great muffins. Had to wait a little bit on service but was well worth it.

Noemi Nesbitt

Yum, yum! Delicious pastries...cozy outside seating.

Lois Smith

Counter ladies friendly and patient even when busy. Closes early, around 2:30, just serving breakfast and lunch.Prices high for food quality. Place is located near playground but away from hustle/bustle shopping area. Love history about building. Indoor or outdoor seating available. One bathroom which is constantly busy.

Steven Soucoup

Best Breakfast Sandwich I ever had, and I’ve had a lot. Replaced the bagel for a croissant and bacon for Sausage. It was $9 but worth every penny! Very Large and delicious

Jill Smith

It was ok. I had the quiche, which was way too salty for me and the fruit on the plate wasn't even close to being ripe. Not a lot of space inside and was very cramped. The others I was with did enjoy their food and the service was very good!!

Rich Murray

Good. Good food nice people. Will frequent

Ninja Rob

Nice little place, check it out.

Mike Abbott

A favorite spot in Sea Pines. Great food selection with large portions. For a treat, eat under the old oak tree.

Kevin Glynn

You get your own coffee, and it's weak & watery. You stand at the counter to order. You fetch your plastic knife and fork. Food isn't bad. Then you clean up after. I tried it twice, but won't be back. Also very expensive.

Rachael Schubert

Sweet little bakery in a beautiful location. Loved it!

Roger Moore

I am from Canada and come to Sea Pines twice a year Always go see my friend Mary who is the manager and always have a great meal My kids and grandkids are now fans as well Make sure you drop in for breakfast or lunch and make sure to say hello to the wonderful Mary Tom Blackmore

Francis Duffy

Paper plates and plastic cutlery.....nuff said.

Wendy Seles Shelton

Great place, but you'll need to liquidate your 401k to pay for breakfast...

Vicki Hays

While in Harbour Town drop in this restaurant for breakfast.. good tasty choices and very reasonable prices.. self order and pickup, so not necessary to tip.

Brian Newberry

Enjoyed the baked goods more than the things we ordered to be made hot. The muffins were good, but cinnamon bun was my favorite. Went twice during our visit for breakfast we liked it so well.

Smon Bere

Lovely food

Jon L

Made to order omelettes until 2:30pm, including how many eggs you would like ! Very good and accommodating !

dan polin

Always go here Everytime we vacation here

Frank Davis

Great breakfast, wonderful service and enough food to share with multiple people.

Olga Svinyina

One of the nicest places I've been to! Great atmosphere, amazing food and their pastries are extremely delicious!

Brian Martin

Cool little place with great food and fast service. Love the cool overflow building.

Michael Foley

Very quaint cafe with a half dozen indoor tables and a patio eating area. Pastries are fresh and delicious. The menu is just the right size, not too much or too little. The breakfast and lunch menus overlap so late morning you can get either one. The service is excellent!

Angela Eldridge

The bakeryr has great selection of deli sandwiches. Price $. Great cookies and other items. Close to harbor pines pier. Play ground and shopping center. Parking limited.

Sean Sproat

Great breakfast and the best sticky bun on the island

Wesley Margeson

My wife and I went for breakfast while the kids were still asleep. The pastries we bought for them were very good but the hot breakfasts we puchased for ourselves were not. My wifes eggs were very dry and overcooked and my hash was clearly from a can and way too salty. For $10-12 a plate we expected more than styrofoam plates and poorly executed food.

Mike Sonny

Great play area for ages 1-10. Nice walking area with some shopping available. The only negative I had was it was not all sidewalks had on / off ramps for strollers.

Barry Devlin

The staff could not be any more accommodating. The food is delicious. Coffee might need a little work.

Chris Keefer

One of the best Reuben sandwiches I've had!

Andrew Shelton

A little overpriced but the breakfast and baked goods are great. Always a treat to go there.

David Johnson

Very good muffins. Polite staff. However, there was a fly in the display case.

Shawn Jolly

Three words...cappucino chocolate muffins!! Plus the friendly staff made this our favorite breakfast spot.

Angie Ballou

I love this area.

Leah Weigel

It was good, I had the quiche special with fresh fruit we sat outside ad enjoyed our breakfast.

Craig Fruchey

So beautiful place to visit

Morgan White

You have THE WORST customer service. Why do you have a phone if you do not answer it. Not everyone wants to stand in line for an hour for breakfast and would rather call in an order for pick up. We have called your restaurant 20 times and no one answers your phone. After working in a restaurant for many years this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Lily Brown

The pizza was horribly disappointing. It tasted like a microwave pizza. Also, the tomatoes were not fresh and the prices were too high considering the quality of the food.

Anthony Roman

Great overall

Michele M

Employees were very sweet. Coffee was good and hot. Cinnamon bun & coffee roll were delicious.

Charles Silvey

A wonderful location for great baked goods as well as wonderful sandwiches. They close early in the afternoon, so make sure to take advantage of the outdoor seating to relax with your coffee, sandwich or cool iced tea.

Harold Hurst

$50 for a small family but hey...it's a tourist trap as they say. Wife liked her wrap and my young son enjoyed his hamburger. Me and older son had chicken quesadillas but they were loaded with too many peppers. On a side note, the lady who took our order did know about "mustard" potato salad because after I ordered I was informed they do not have that. Nevertheless, $15 less and we would felt we got our money's worth. Otherwise a good overall dining experience.

Missy Miller

Very close to our villas! Food was quick and tasted great. Prices were pretty reasonable and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Will definitely go back again!

Collin Pyle

Food was fair but cold. Coffee was undrinkable. Had to switch for iced tea which was very good. Didn’t really know where to order.

Paul Graves

Air conditioning was the best bit with the over priced food and day old bakery. Avoid.

Jake Martin

Pecan roll is enough for two if you are self conscious. I ate it all, delicious.

Denise Nico

Great place to stop for a coffee and sweet or breakfast. Seating in or out.

Brian Cohen

One of our favorite breakfast spots. Over priced but the food is good and it's nice to eat breakfast outside the cafe. Fun spot.

JR Hazenfield

Reccomend the Ruben turkey sandwich for lunch and the double chocolate cookies for desert. Shady trees outside to sit under and it is away from the crowded marina.

36ahrensfox

Pecan rolls to die for, great menu, low prices, and fantastic views.

Jake Spell

Great desserts and good lunch/breakfast. Price is a little high but the convenience makes it worth it. Limited seating inside but plenty of covered outdoor seating under the oaks.

Julie Cronan

Delicious

Michael Tickle

Favorite spot for breakfast in Seapines. Love love love the breakfast BLT and the French toast is great too.

Tami Snell

Very good

Spencer Johnson

Great place to grab breakfast. It's all good!

Jeff Hackney

Awesome sweets, prices, and setting. Very helpful with selections!

Augie Olsen

Great place for breakfast and fresh made goodies.

Stephen Caldwell

A little pricey but everything we order was delicious.

Dharvinder Singh

An excellent place for food. This is easily of my top 10 favourite places to go..I really appreciate your efforts. Keep up the good work.. I will definitely come back again...

Kathy Castle

Nicest people own this place. Great food! Just stop in before you get to those higher priced restaurants. Great for lunch.

Brad Adcox

Food was good and the service is great.

Josh Tipton

Coffee was good, however food was incredibly expensive for the value/quality. While the French toast was decent, the potatoes, eggs and toast were barely edible.

Leslie LeBlanc

Lovely old building, good food, friendly staff

Mark Allen

Has gotten expensive. Good food. Sunday is not best day to go.

Tom Thornton

Handled the morning rush with ease and a smile. Something for everyone. Bakery items are off the freaking chain !

Antonia Lezama

We stumbled upon this really cute cafe....We had the BEST bagel sandwiches we have ever had!!! The staff was very friendly and the prices were not too expensive!

Brian Berger

Good food. Plan ahead, there can be a wait.

Bob Saline

Always busy. Good food at breakfast and lunch. Polite staff.

Brooke Morrill

As the only breakfast place in it's vicinity, a restaurant could throw quality out the window and bank on people frequenting their establishment out of scarcity. Harbour Town Bakery and Cafe takes another approach by making high quality and delicious meals, pastries, and beverages all morning and afternoon long. Plan to wait in line, but it's worth it. Plenty of indoor seating across two buildings, with outdoor seating for when it's nicer out. We've gone two days in a row and most likely will make it a third tomorrow. Plenty of bike racks! I would make this a destination even if I didn't stay in Sea Pines.

Steve Herron

Great place!

chris letizia

Mediocre coffee. Keep looking

Donna DiNinno

Great pastries!! Not much of a personality when entering. Customers had to tell us where to order. Coffee is horrible!! Kinda figured from other reviews. Need more of a breakfast option. Omelets would be great!! Cute place though. Thank you!

Aaron Ewing

I love eating at the bakery, their pastries are to die for!

Tony Laskowski

Excellent food and wonderful staff. And the pastries are amazing.

Brian Honig

The coffee here is pretty amazing, especially if you like your espresso.

Austin Wilkerson

Fantastic breakfast place! Delicious bakery. We come here every time we visit Hilton Head.

Trip Creech

Food was delicious and the location is very quaint but the service was underwhelming. Counter service was fine but when the food was delivered, the attitude by expo made us feel like we were an terrible inconvenience. A small smile and a few pleasant words would have helped us feel much more welcome.

Margo McGilvrey

Great veggie wrap!!

spencer stanley

U have to pay $8 to get to harbour town. But the food was awesome

Lisa Callahan

We had really good reubens, iced coffee and wraps. Friendly service too! Tuna salad was on the sweet side.

Steve Hogan

Stopped for a quick lunch during our bike ride to Harbour Town. Wonderful staff, and great sandwiches and baked goods. Outdoor eating on warm days quite comfortable. Plus is breakfast served the entire open hours.

Susan Ochsner

This place is so popular, a client bought a condo nearby and counted the steps to the Harbour Town Bakery (120 steps, btw.). Cozy place with wooden floors, fireplace. Its a bit tiny inside but when the weather is good you can sit outside and enjoy. Good food also!

Rich Seiler

Great food and friendly service. A great place for breakfast, lunch or brunch.

Karen Dieminger

Quick service on a Sunday morning with good options, but my scrambled eggs were "well done." They have outdoor and indoor seating, and many people got to go orders.

Mrs C

We were there for the first time in Hilton overpriced for breakfast they had plenty of breakfast options be careful when l ordering sourdough bread the cashier charged us for 3 orders of this bread and we said 1 order too late it was a waste we could eat that much bread other than I would visit this place again if I am in the area

Grahame Rae

Great place for breakfast and great muffins

Carmela Deck

The breakfast sandwich was excellent and very filling

Ben Fadell

The food was amazing and the pastries were flaky with just enough frosting. Friendly staff got our party of 8 taken care of quickly.

Karie Clement

Cute place...and they have gluten free pancakes and muffins!!

Eric Frazier

Food is good, but pricey.

Cathie Rasch Group

I meet clients here regularly before showing them the wonderful Sea Pines community amenities and homes. It's a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee, breakfast or lunch. Enjoy the outdoor seating on a beautiful Hilton Head Island day or sit by the fireplace on a cooler day.

Brianna Ridenour

Quick and easy breakfast. Staff was very friendly and the food was amazing!

Sara Fowler

The line is long and the prices are typical for HHI but this place is popular for a reason. The environment is quaint and has a special feel. The muffins are huge and the chocolate filled croissants are amazing. The iced coffee was perfect to top off a delicious breakfast.

Frank Ricciardi

The coffee and muffin were very good. Can sometimes have a long line in the mornings, but they clear pretty quickly. Large outdoor seating area across from the harbor.

Johnny Martin

I had the Southern breakfast. The whole wheat toast and the orange slice were the best part of the meal.

M J Green

Great bakery goods, fresh and tasty. Lots of menu items. Interesting quaint setting. But if you're disabled, forget it. You can't get in because of the steps. If you have an able-bodied person with you, he can go in and order. The friendly staff will bring your food out to you.
