Awesome cakes!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. I found this place and booked a tasting for my wedding cake and decided also to order a cake for my sons 1st birthday. I placed the order back in March and sent in picture after showing them what I wanted. Fast forward from March to May 12, 2018: 15 mins before picking up the cake I called to confirm it was ready and was told "they were busy" and it would be ready 45 mins later. My fiancé picked up the cake and it looked nothing like what I ordered. (Pics in comments) When I called they pretended to have amnesia and stated they didn't understand because the cake I got was what I ordered. To put the "icing on the cake" my guest complained and said the cake was dry and hard! Please do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere. This is a bakery who told me they didn't "have time" to make a cake and smash cake I paid $75 dollars for. And just to think I was going to have them do my wedding cake

Their cakes are fabulous! We have ordered at least 6 cakes from them for birthday parties in the past 2 years and we have not been disappointed yet! She also executed all of my ideas so well!! They turned out gorgeous too.

Bakies had come highly recommended by multiple people. Based upon this positivity, I placed an order for my son’s cake a week prior to the date needed. The day of pick up, I receive a phone call 45 minutes prior to scheduled pickup time asking if I could come later. My schedule did not leave any wiggle room for this accommodation. I made a few phone calls, rearranged my schedule and children’s pickup times from school in order to ensure a cake for my sons special day and to ensure it would be completed to everyone’s expectations. It is highly disappointing to be asked to come later due to the baker who would be decorating the cake (Gayle) not being there on time or able to be reached. I understand appointments and life happen. I am a small business owner as well. My philosophy is the client always comes first. This was not an emergency situation. This was poor planning on this person’s part. I rearranged my schedule. A simple apology for my accommodation to her schedule would have gone a long way, possibly even something a little extra for my understanding and inconvenience. This was a terrible first impression, not to mention a B rating by DHEC on the front door. Let’s hope the cake is better than the customer service and untidy bakery.

Bakies catered my wedding about a week ago and I was SO incredibly satisfied. They were very easy to work with, very hassle free. I did a brunch wedding and actually had cinnamon rolls instead of a cake, and all the guests were just raving about them. Apparently some people actually went back to Bakies later on to get some more!! The food is one thing, but like I said, they were truly great to work with. One of the most stress free vendors I worked with!!

O a whim I tried Bakies from the suggestion of a close friend. I was blown away with the I got a cake made for my brother. It was in the shape of a lightbulb and fed 25+ people for a very reasonable amount. I got a 3 layered amaretto chocolate chip cake withthe brown sugar icing. OMG so delicious! Their prices are reasonable and the taste is amazing. They will take GREAT care of you. The best part is they can design fancy fun cakes without FONDANT!!! Also I have tried several of their treats. The peanut butter chocolate thingy is to die for!

TREMENDOUS AND WEDDING CAKE SUPER HERO! What was a horrible situation with a prior bakery turned into a blessing in disguise! I called Hannah and her team at 3pm on a Friday afternoon with a cake emergency. Our bottom portion of the cake had fallen thus leaving us with only a topper. With the wedding event less than 24 hours, Hannah assured me that she would take care of it. I am so thankful that there are people who can assist with last minute errors. HIGHLY recommend this bakery and these folks! I look forward in using them in the near future!

Ok, so I got a cake for my daughter's party and I think someone got the mixes, mixed up! Because the cake was like cornbread.Matter of fact I would have put money on it. Was not good at all. Its was fondant and the bow was a disaster. Won't go there again.

By far the best bakery in the area. Beautiful , tasty cakes especially for weddings. Reasonably priced. Great friendly staff! Awesome cookies and cupcakes and brownies!
