Excellent breakfast and breads. House made pizza on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Great all around spot!

Melissa Nelle

Delicious food, friendly service and the best iced mocha!

Sunday night Pizza night is a summer tradition when we vacation on the island. The simplicity of the "plain" (margherita) pizza is wonderfully delicious because of the quality ingredients and the special pizza is always a yummy treat also. It's the perfect spot to relax and eat on a warm summer night. It has a rustic, earthy vibe and there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Being situated across the street from an enormous playground makes it even better if you're bringing kids, too.

Great coffee and breakfast options. A little off the beaten path so not as busy as other Jamestown joints.

We happened upon this place one weekend morning while hunting for an espresso on our way to Mackerel Cove and felt very fortunate that we did. There is a new generation of coffee out there and once your eyes have been opened it becomes very difficult to find satisfaction in the thin & flavorless, the burnt & bitter, or the over-milked options served in the vast majority of places in RI. The Village Hearth has a small handful of New Harvest Coffee Roaster trained barista who take their job just seriously enough to pull you a solid espresso without the attitude or pretense that all-too-often accompanies such things. We shared a simple sandwich of ham, whole grain mustard, and greens on a baguette that was just what we were hoping it would be: crunchy, flavorful, and fully satisfying. The cafe itself is rustic, airy, and beautiful and the foliage-sheltered wraparound porch is one of the most pleasant places in Jamestown to sip and nibble. I definitely recommend stopping in the next weekend you find yourself in the area and in need of a good coffee.

What's not to love about freshly made bread, wholesome food and to die for pizza! Add to that a lovely rustic atmosphere with friendly staff and it's a winning combination! I've seen this place with people queueing down the road to get pizza at the weekend and then walking out with literally stacks of pizza and salad boxes! Yes, it's that good! The waiting is totally worth it! We went for lunch on a Friday when it was quieter, such a lovely place, we love it. Well worth a visit.

Have been going for over 5 years looking forward to Epi Bread every year to start vacation. Went there today first they must of hanged their hours recently because they used to open at 7:00am and now they open at 9:00am on Sunday. Had to make a trip back at 9:00 to find out that they don’t make my beloved treat anymore. To say I was heartbroken would be the understatement of the year. Still left some goodies but not having the EPI bread might make me think about not coming back. Bring back the EPI and make a loyal customer happy again.

We have been here for lunch and honestly it was just OK at best. Today we went for breakfast. My omelet Decker was good along with my coffee. However the home fries were definitely from the day before and as greasy as possible. My partner got 3 pancakes which were average at best and we make better ones at home. The whole meal was almost $30. I could have made way better at home for a quarter of the price .There are far better breakfast places in the area to spend $30 .

We have had the pleasure of dining here throughout the years. The taste, quality and texture of their baked goods and other foods are phenomenal. Like no other. After reading Doriana and Andrea's story on their website, one can appreciate the love and passion put into their business and food products. Michael and I have frequented Village Hearth for many years and consider it our little sanctuary - from the beautifully landscaped grounds, quaint European flair inside and out. They have a beautiful family and story that should inspire all. We look forward to many more years to come. Mark & Mike

Best wood grilled pizza. Special pizza tonight was mushroom and arrugala. Delicious!

Very cozy place and friendly staff. Food was good and the pastries were delicious. Just hope they had more items on the menu

While visiting Jamestown, I decided to try out this little, but beautiful bakery. It's hours are limited, but understandably given the seasonal tourism and that it's owned/managed by a local couple. During my morning visit, I enjoyed the blueberry keylime scone and a small latte. The pastry was delicious, filled with plenty of fruit and flavor. The latte was great as well, coming out in an awesome ceramic mug. Loved the artwork on my latte too. While I enjoyed my breakfast, there was a constant stream of customers who all seemed to love and enjoy this place. Overall I couldn't be happier with my visit and I look forward to future visits.

As good as it gets! Incredible pastries and artisan breads. Wood-fired brick oven pizza on weekends is phenomenal, worth the wait. Very sweet mom and pop proprietors.

Really great daily special baked goodies, fun salads and cookies. They also have breakfast sandwiches. They have hard cider and a small selection of beer. It is very cozy.

Awesome bread!

Village hearth is just a Jamestown treasure. Super touristy in the summer, getting there early is a must. The cinnamon raisin loaf is delicious, baguettes are always a fave. The macaroons are delish and they occasionally have a light airy almond cookie. Kids love the chocolate chip cookies and the chocolate croissant. The best sandwich is the veggie, I promise, Just bring cash!

In our opinion, this place makes some of the finest pizza to be found - that means it is in contention with the "biggies" that are better known. Be aware it's not a typical pizza place - they have two selections (one of them differs) each week. No calling in..and, during the season there is likely going to be a wait. BUT, hey, this is a "destination" place, not your local "I need some grease" pizza joint. The only downside I can think of is that those with sensitive gums may find the sauce a bit too spicy. All in all, I'd give it a 9 out of 10, which means it is better than many famous pies! This is neapolitan type of pie - small and quickly cooked...and perhaps the best part is the dough/crust. Being a bakery they seem to have somehow inserted chewy italian bread texture and taste into the pie!

Rick Meli

Best bread on the island.

William Vanderrest

Awesome pizza Sunday!

I have never been disappointed with the quality of the food or their coffee, which to me is the best dam coffee in South County. A perfect place after going to my other favorite Jamestown place ,Beavertail.
