Perhaps one of my favorite pasty restaurants I’ve ever been to—anywhere! First off, the interior is adorable and very New England. The employees are extremely friendly and very helpful. But the stars are truly the pastries! Their attention to detail, use of seasonal ingredients, and the flavor is worth making a trip- even if you’re visiting Boston. This place is a must.

I come here often because the dessert is amazing! Last night 10/13 my best friends from out of town visited and we stopped here. They said it’s the best they have ever had. This place is truly amazing. Our server Juan was excellent. He was super attentive and has a great personality! Thank you so much for an awesome experience!

The place is small and it can get crowded fast, but that doesn't give the right for the personnel to be rude. The guy taking names for the tables was flat out rude and condescending, no people skills at all. From the get go he just started yelling at us, "HOW MANY? 20min", not even a "hi welcome to... can I take your name..." We were waiting with 2 other groups for a table when he just started barking orders for everyone to go wait outside. That's when one of the other groups just decided to go to another establishment. The lady next to me even made the comment that she felt like she was being scolded for just trying to have a coffee. I wasn't happy with the way he was treating us, so we decided to leave as well. Don't get me wrong the coffee and pastries are heavenly, we buy their cakes for nearly all of my family members birthdays, but lately the service has gone downhill. I guess they figured that people will just keep going to eat there anyways, so there is no need to have manners anymore. I will really think twice before going there to have coffee with the family or with friends. Maybe next time I will just do take out, maybe we don't get yelled at that way.

Excellent, professional service, but I highly recommend ordering by phone if you need a full cake for take out. In fact, you'll need to order 24 hours in advance if you want a large-sized cake. Otherwise, I need not say more about what how tasty everything is here. I mean...it's Pastiche.

The best place to get desserts and coffee, hands down. My favorite cake to get here is the carrot cake, and we get it almost every single holiday/special occasion that goes our way. The shop is a little on the smaller side, but it works for me as I always take my items to go. It appears to be a nice, relaxing environment to sit down and mingle with friends when seating is available. Absot worth a visit!

This is one of my favorite dessert spots, ever! It is the only place I will go to eat cake. My favorite is the almond raspberry cake, totally not the kind of cake I usually opt for, but this is heavenly <3 Their chocolate torte (pictured) is also to die for.

I was looking for Italian desserts (may be the name had something to do with it) the desserts we're standard American style, maybe they were good but I had my mind set for Italian custard cream filled pastry, fruity nutty individual pieces, or almond cookies ... Had Italian espresso only, it was ok not strong enough( longo not chorto style)

This is our spot after date night dinner or the main event itself I have been coming here for 10+ years and definitely the best desserts in RI! I get most holiday and birthday cakes here worth every penny, and if you like chocolate chip cookies they are yummy (almost as good as mom's lol) quaint and cumfy sometimes too small on a busy Friday or Saturday but worth the wait.

Adorable little cafe in the heart of federal hill. Coffee and cookies and cakes and cannoli's...so much to choose from. The carrot cake was heaven on a plate. The place is small and is usually packed....take something to go. You won't be sorry!

If fine dining has a place to go just for dessert, this is it. Tiramisu soft and moist, lots of chocolate and espresso, but well balanced, not dripping. Was so inspired I had seconds: chocolate torte so rich it should go into finance -- but just like you don't feel 65mph the same in a BMW as in a corolla, the chocolate richness is just smooth and wonderful. They take time with every offering, and it shows. Well done.

Decided to try this place because some of my friends recommended it. They desert were not that fresh. I ordered macaron because someone just put it up there, so I assumed it must be fresh. Not only it was hard as rock, it didn't taste good too. I ordered two more desert to go, because I didn't want to judge a place only by one desert. The other two was okay. Not great, just okay.

Got the chocolate mousse cake which was perfection. Not the biggest sweets person but I really like the options at this place and the cake wasn’t overbearing. While celebrating one of our teammates birthday, we headed to Pastiche for his favorite key lime pie. After a good walk post dinner of his favorite, pizza (Coal fired pizza, read about that review too) we reached the cozy "patisserie". The time was about 10 past and it was so full of people wanting their desserts. We were immediately seated and attended to by one of the waitresses. After giving our orders and waiting for 5 minutes, we were served. The key lime pie was very good and so is their other desserts. A must visit for those in Providence RI to taste the fantastic desserts at Pastiche. Yummy yum!

Always wanted to try this place. Very busy place aswell. Nice and small location with alot of desserts and pastries to try. They all look so good under the lights and behind the nice glass. But taste mediocre. I find this place to be overrated. The desserts I tried and had from the carrot cake to banana cream pie to the brownies I found them all mediocre at best. Especially for the price I paid I was not amused. They also gave my friend the wrong item she had asked for but by the time she realized it was too late. The staff are nice people I'm sure but the desserts weren't that great. Maybe I came at a wrong time or wrong day

We were there late and were happy that the bakery was open. We stopped in for dessert and coffee and there was a line out the door. It moved quickly, however, and we were able to snag a table. We wanted key lime pie and, even though there was one in the case, they were only willing to sell the entire pie, not individual slices. That was a little disappointing but we settled for some other items. They were a ok but the icing on top of the cake slices had the taste and texture of wax - not good if you're looking for a creamy buttercream. The insides were delicious, though, and my chai latte was perfection.

I love this place I came here about 6 years ago and now I'm back for my daughter's birthday cake and it was amazing. The pricing range for their baked goods is in the high range but well worth the money. I also had bought a fresh fruit pie I didn't get to eat it till the next day and it was delicious I was very surprised there fruit is definitely fresh.

We ordered a couple large cakes from Pastiche for our wedding. My husband and I have known that Pastiche has delicious desserts since we moved to Providence. They are a small bakery and so only do the standard cakes that they have on their menu, but if the taste of the cake is more important to you than the look of it then this is the place to get them! We ordered the largest size (18-20 slices) of their Classic Vanilla Cake and Tiramisu Cake for 20 guests, and many of our guests said it was the best cake they had ever eaten and everyone cleaned their plates even after a large dinner. Most of our guests got a slice of each cake, and then another slice later on in the evening because they were so irresistibly delicious. Even though the cakes were simple round cakes, Pastiche does a beautiful job with simple, elegant decorating plus they added inscriptions to both cakes. Pastiche was very professional and friendly when we ordered the cakes, and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for simple, delicious wedding cakes!

We had very attentive service when we were there, at a very busy time of day. The inside diner may be somewhat distracted by all the foot traffic at the counter for takeout, but it is a nice place to satisfy your sweet tooth just outside the hubbub of the main square. They make a nice cappuccino and wide variety of interesting desserts.

Quaint European style cafe in the Federal Hull neighborhood. Desserts have been really great here. Nothing has been overly sweet and the ingredients are really fresh - just try the banana cream pie for instance. There can sometimes be a wait, but the queue will move fast. Skip dessert at whatever restaurant you went to in the area and go here instead.

When we stayed on Atwells Avenue with family we tried different local places. We read the reviews on Pastiche and were looking forward to a good cup of coffee and dessert. If you don't mind spending $$-$$$ on two small cups of coffee and a tart this is your place. Would I recommend, no. There are several places on Atwells Avenue that has friendlier service, better coffee and more choices and will make you want to return just for their baked goods.

Quaint little place with a great selection of desserts. Located in a part of of Providence with many great restaurants, Pastiche is the perfect place to go to after having dinner nearby. Due to the small size of the dinning area, there are few tables, and you may have to wait to be seated, depending on when you are there. But since Pastiche serves only desserts and the service is fast, tables become available very quickly. The menu has a good variety of tasty desserts, which all taste very exquisite!

Just picked up a cake I had ordered 2 days ago. I requested to have writing on the cake and when I got it home there was no writing. Disappointed I called and the girl that answered said “I’m sorry” but no offer to fix it or anything. A $60 cake isn’t cheap so at least fulfilling the order would’ve been nice. The box even states there should be writing don’t think I’ll be coming back anytime soon and it’s a shame because the cake was very good. Sometimes it’s not just about a good product but good customer service too.

Overall really delicious! I tried the fruit tart, eclair, and cannoli. The fruit tart was decent, but the eclair and cannoli were the best I've ever had. If I had to complain about something, it would be that it was pretty expensive.
