I love Italian pastries sold here and the other food items look amazing although I haven't tried them yet. My kids loved the cannolis that I purchased here. A friend and I had the Boston creme bomb which was delicious. The main reason for me coming here was the pepper biscuits which are great.

This past Wednesday, I went into the bakery looking to bring pizza, spinach pies, pigs in the blanket and" Real" Italian bread to Florida. Renee took wonderful care of me, she knew exactly how to package and wrap everything I bought for my flight. Everything here is delicious!! My husband loves the snail salad. The meatballs are light and perfect. I make a quick version of eggplant parm with their fried eggplant...It's cut longways and very thin, so good!! Pastries are works of art!

Where should I start? My two friends and I needed to go to Johnston and on our way back this bakery caught my eye. Me, being a lover of good bakeries, decided to stop by. From the outside and the walk in, this place looked very promising. Nobody was on line so we decided to look at the menu before ordering anything. As I began to order, another lady from behind the counter asked if they can help my friend. He needed more time to look so he just said "Sorry, I'm just looking". After he said this, the lady behind the counter gave him the dirtiest look and told the rest of the counter staff "dont worry about them, they're just looking" with a really smug attitude. I originally came in for a couple items but as I watched that type of service, I couldn't spend any more money there so I paid for my two pastries and left. In all honesty, he was planning to buy something in the store but this type of service really turned him off. By the time I got home, I was hoping that the pastries were really good but they were just "okay". You could even say mediocre. Long story short, my first and only experience with this place consisted of bad service and overpriced, mediocre pastries. I dont intend to hurt this business, overall they just need to work on consistent customer service.

I have lived near it since it originally opened The pizza is known by all. Pleasant staff I was there when it was on fire years ago and was interviewed for the news I spoke of the sadness of the fire. People are loyal to this bakery. The new building is beautiful. D Palmieri Is one of the original businesses of Killingly Streey and during the blizzard of 1978 was open so quick so the neighbors could get their bread. When aroma of the bread filled the cold air. It was heavenly. The prices may be a bit high but you get quality for it Wine biscuits....yum. I have just begged for broccoli pies for years Great business endures the test of time.

Best place to get an authentic cheap Rhode Island lunch. Best place in RI to get pizza strips (a regional RI item) and snail salad (really it is Conch....or welk I think). Great eggplant parm. Great grinders. I love the apple squares after some snail salad. Super friendly staff. I come here any time I am in the Johnston area.

They close on sunday at 200 they are closed on mondays they then dump the old bread on the shelves of the ri stop and shops ,i called and questioned the lady who answered , she just kept repeating we deliver daily ,we are not responsible for what stop and shop does with it ??? they deliver a cpl pkgs of each items ,its not like stop and shop keeps them in back room .this practice i have proven to stop and shop on manton ave . i will take it to regional office if they dont stop this practice ,i know the difference between bakery fresh and 2 day old bread
