Unpleasant workers and bugs everwhere good food.
Excellent Bakery! Outstanding sandwiches, breads and confections in a quaint and unique natural setting. A rare find . . .
Been there many times for Friday night pizzas, great food, wonderful atmosphere
Never been disappointed here! except when I went in and they had no Blondie Bars... Was so good last time I was there.. got a bunch of cookies instead and all were amazing =) Glad this is here. I camp up the road so am here often.
Delicious breads and pastries. Their Lunches are creative and beautiful. Fantastic view from the deck.
Great relaxing place, great food
We are camping at french creek state park... tent camping and it's cold. Our choice, I totally understand... so we've heard that the village is cute and nice and we figured we could go check it out get some coffee. The village is tiny... but with the fall leaves shining it's beautiful... everything seemed to be closed and we were there at 10:45. So we stopped into the bakery... while their treats are delicious... Mary is the reason this place gets 2 stars. She looked like we were annoying her.... I'm sorry MARY, we have never been here before we were LOOKING before we ordered anything and I'm so sorry of it inconvenienced you in any way! We will not be back and we will not encourage others to visit.
They would have 5 stars if one of the 5 people behind the counter would turn around and take my order. Seriously, their customer service leaves something to be desired, they’re nice once they start helping you. But the croissants, light, buttery, delicious! Ive never been to France but I’m pretty sure France tastes like these croissants. You can call ahead and have them hold them for you cause they sell out quickly. It’s also a cute little tucked away place, not too crazy or rowdy but not deserted either, a good balance.
My 'third place.' Great food, great people.
Great place to stop after a hike. Cute environment and love the deck.
Cosy setting with outdoor seating and delicious food.
Amazing food, super cute atmosphere, and very friendly people. Highly recommended!
A gem in the rough don't tell anybody else LOL
Quaint little bakery off the beaten path. Worth a visit. You won't be disappointed.
Im a Chef and there Blueberry Pie is the best Ive ever had!!!
Great coffee, baked goods, and service. They have quite the menu of food and pastries, along with all the normal coffeeshop beverages and then some. Love the atmosphere, loved the food, and the staff were super friendly; I'll definitely be returning. Nothing like the cool coffeeshop on a fall day
We hosted my sister's bridal shower at the bakery and it was absolutely perfect. The staff was friendly and attentive, the food was was delicious and the DESSERTS!!!! The staff quickly jumped on chilling the champagne we had brought and were on top of making sure there was plenty of food. They provided linens, flowers, prepared champagne flutes with raspberries, juices for the mimosa bar, and the best food I've had at a bridal shower all at a very reasonable price. I feel guilty taking credit for all the compliments we received from the guests when Saint Peter's Bakery deserves all the credit. Thank you, thank you, thank you all for making the day so special for all of us!!
pretty good but very busy and very small
My friends and I love this spot for coffee/tea and a baked treat or for lunch (and sometimes dessert, too). They have a small selection of delicious lunch items usually including a fresh made soup (amazing) and quiche. Their bread is also top notch. We've been going here for years and the food is always fresh. The bakery items fill a whole case--pies, cookies, bars, cakes. Plus, they have lovely outdoor seating that overlooks the rocks, water, and woods--so beautiful!
There comes a time in a mans life when he realizes a smoothie should not be so expensive. A time for war, a time for peace, and a time for properly and clearly advertising what is in your menu items. I’m not mad, I just know you can do better.
Personal, cosy, one sandwich fed two people, the desserts and breads are ridiculously good. They even cared for the dog while we sat outside by the river on the balcony.
Great location and nice bakery/coffee shop. Be sure to check the hours they are open and sometimes when they have music you will need a reservation. There are some great rocks from the french creek behind it you can climb or go further into town where there are trails.
Great place! Great food, good coffee in a beautiful atmosphere. The staff is amazing, they go above and beyond to be sure you are comfortable. Thankyou Mary for making our experience memorable! We will be back!
It's a nice place to go on a hot summer afternoon or autumn evening. They sometimes have live music on Friday and/or Saturday in the evenings. I enjoy their pastries and the selection of hot tea available. The coffee they brew is decent, and they make tasty sandwiches, as well. They're within walking distance of all of the trails and shops in the village, and are the most accessible lunch option for anyone who came out to spend the afternoon at the nearby winery or pinball arcade. There is a small area in back, where customers can sit and look out over the water.
Very over priced, but staff was very friendly and extremely helpful!
Wonderful quiches, sandwiches, and coffee selection
Very nice sitting on deck having lemonade Beautiful view. Good service .
Slow service, high prices ($4 for iced tea!). Sandwiches at $9.75 were tastey but not worth the wait. They ask for payment and tip at time of order; otherwise they wouldn't get a tip!
Fun spot in a quaint little village!! Food, desserts and baked goods are wonderful!!
Best bakery in Western part of Montgomry County. Beautiful setting!
Incredible sandwiches, salads, soups, coffee, breads and pastries!
Such an awesome little spot! Nice for a quite lunch, they offer hand crafted sandwiches And quiche! Also a great assortment of desserts! If you like coffee, try the northern lights! Once you go, you'll be addicted!
Very nice lunch fair price
Delicious food in a unique location.
Wonderful Pastries.
We love this little hide away. Great breakfast sandwhich and good coffee. The bread and desserts are fantastic. I love sitting on the deck and enjoying nature. The folks working there are as pleasant as the food and views.
Cute and clean. A little on the pricy side
Croissants were excellent
Love to come and sit out side to eat our lunch. The food is great and they have friendly staff.
What a wonderful find in a tiny, beautiful village. Great selection of coffee and tea drinks, beautiful breads, nice variety of cookies and pastries. Pleasant indoor sestise as well as a deck overlooking a creek surrounded by boulders and trees. Had quiche with fruit and a London fog (Earl Grey tea latte.). Bought cookies (the lemon are wonderful) and a slice of maple-bourbon-pecan pie (OMG!)
It was good, got very busy. The breakfast sandwich was decent, with high quality ingredients, but needed seasoning. The home fries were a good mix of white and sweet potato, which was nice. It was more than I would normally pay for such a breakfast, but it was more convenience. We'll go back, but not often, as we'd only go on Sundays when other options aren't available.
Wonderful local spot, for baked goods and coffee... And lunch and dinner. Warm and welcoming. Rear deck overlooking the creek and boulders of St Peters Village. Free wifi, but zero cell signal, which is good.
Only restaurant in town right now. Decent sandwiches and view on the back deck.
Very unique setting with good food. A wonderful array of delicious baked goods, cookies, pies, and cakes. The sandwiches are great as well. Friday night is pizza night, but it gets crowded, so make a reservation. Outside dining over the rocks is available. Well worth a stop.
If you're reading this, just go for it! It would be silly not to stop in for a fresh baked goodie and a beverage! This place is always cranking out delicious seasonal products that I have never once resisted!
Wonderful cafe and bakery in picturesque setting. Great spot for lunch overlooking boulder strewn creek.
Great Food & Staff. Music by John B. Austin was Awesome.
Very nice place, food was great.
Excellent food and desserts. Never had a bad meal. Sandwiches, soups and salads are all delicious. Friendly staff. Michael is fabulous and patient with questions...very helpful when placing special orders. Always a pleasant experience. Even the above average sized unisex bathroom is a delight....clean, well stocked with supplies considering how many people are using it and doesn't smell.
Nice little place to grab a cup and a sweet treat. Their outdoor seating overlooking a wooded area is beautiful.
Always enjoyed the drinks and baked goods. This morning I had a breakfast sandwich and it was great, especially because of the bread. It was also served with fresh fruit which was a nice touch. Loved it all.
Perfect place to visit on a rainy day. Warm and cozy atmosphere. Healthy menu options. Delicious specialty coffees.
Enjoyed our visit. Beautiful setting with trees, rocks, water, and a quaint village. Food and drinks were very good but be prepared... it's pricey.
Great food and atmosphere!
Friendly staff, Divine treats
I had a turmeric latte it was delicious. The service was great.
Great little spot with a great balcony, great views, and most importantly great grub!
First time there. Great coffee and pastries.
Great back goods, can be a little more aware of customer needs
Very nice but, expensive.
Good food just didn't fill me up.
Brownies, Coconut Macaroon are amazing
Absolutely charming café for coffee, cakes. Breads, salads, quiches, sandwiches and more! Dine inside or on the elevated rear deck.
This is a great bakery with so many wonderful breads, cookies, pies and specialty desserts. Their cakes are simply amazing. Food, service and atmosphere are all excellent. Can't say enough good things about this place.
Wonderful little bakery overlooking the rocky creek below. The lemon cheese cake was wonderful, but you really need to try the lavender cookies.
Delicious sandwiches and pastries, with indoor and outdoor seating and a scenic view of the French Creek.
Very nice place to go love the sound of the water on the deck with a cup of coffee .
We had lunch here and everything was amazing!
Great dessert selection and really good artisan bread, but prices are a bit high for some items and service has been hit or miss.
Awesome cozy place with great cookies
The best blueberry pie I have ever tasted. The real deal. I took it to a dinner party and everyone went crazy for it. I cannot wait to go back for more goodies!
10 star. Amazing carrot cake
A delicious place to eat when you are visiting St Peter's Village. They offer a nice variety of sandwiches and pastries. The pastries are fresh and delectable. Sandwiches are well portioned and provide for a good excuse to have dessert! I am yet to be disappointed with any of the cakes or other pastries I have had there. If I am in the area...I will usually make it a point to stop there for quick bite. Highly recommend the the black granite torte! Very rich and flavorful!
Cute place, amazing location with the river running just behind the bakery. Great selection of food and desserts. Worth a stop.
Really neat lil place with good menu and fresh coffee. You won't find a better view than from their veranda
Best Brownies on EARTH!!!
This is a byob place. Good sandwiches, salads, and pizza. Vegetarian options. Desserts are pricey but outstanding. They have a guitarist on Friday nights, but you better make reservations at least a week in advance for that.
Best cheesecake I ever had. Excellent soups and sandwiches too!
My favorite getaway from Berks County
Great service and the pastries are delicious
Good food always...and desserts!!
Love the bakery. It is a hidden gem in saint peters
Love this place! Good food. Patient staff is wonderful with kids. The outdoor deck is the place to be for a lovely view of the boulders and stream while enjoying your meal.
Great place.
The baked goods are wonderful and the sandwiches are fresh and unique. Try the Pilgrim Sandwich and enjoy the water running under the deck while you eat. Of late, they seem unorganized with no pastries at open on Sunday morning so at 9:30 we have up and just had coffee. A small black of coffee was $3.19? That's more than Starbucks and has quietly persuaded our group to go elsewhere.
Great view of calming flowing water as you eat your delicious food
I haven't been to St. Peter's since I was in high school, but decided to stop there last weekend when I was in the area with my Father in Law. We walked around a bit, checking out the town, then stopped into this place for a bite to eat. This place is amazing. The people were great, the food was great... everything was fantastic. Highly recommended!
Amazing lunch after hiking at St Pete’s. The nitro coffee was smooth and crisp with nice foam head and served in a mason jar glass. We tried 2 sandwiches which were equally amazing and had cookies for dessert. Must try the lavender cookies if they have them! Can’t wait to go again!
The food is amazing! It is expensive but they also actually make the food with legitimate ingrediants. The waiting situation was a little confusing and took a while, but I'm sure some of the workers were being trained.
Quaint, local bakery, good food and coffee.
We have been a couple of times now on fridays when they have Byob and pizzas with live music, and it is so fun! In good weather the deck is beautiful, with the relaxing sound of the creek in the background. Pastries are also delicious!
AMAZING food! Very cute atmosphere.
Fantastic view on the deck!
A fantastic place with super friendly staff. Will be back someday. :-)
Great baked goods! Great view!
Kewl little bakery / restaurant in a kewl town along French Creek.
Great comfortable vibe
Love the cookies and coffee here!
My new favorite weekend escape place. Nestled along a flowing creek and large boulders, the back deck is a slice of heaven. The food is delicious and the coffees enjoyable. I can't wait to return.
This is an amazingly cute bakery situated in an original building used as a bakery with the oven preserved in the seating area. The outdoor deck features an absolutely amazing natural view of a rock run with a stream running through it. The staff is quite pleasant, the food is excellent, and they accept credit cards. The whole town is amazingly nice but this is a jewel.
Grea time
Amazing little spot!!!
Late 1800s general store overlooking the ‘Falls at French Creek’ repurposed as a quality Bakery. I visit for a relaxed coffee and breakfast of toasted apple/walnut bread, tasty croissants which sell out fast, or a large slice of quiche of interesting and complementary ingredients. My coffee and lunch consists of the multigrain bread stuffed with blackforest ham, cheese, tomato, and romaine, with the honey mustard on the side, for mustard quantities vary by the individual. An added treat is the fresh sliced fruit (breakfast) or fresh baby green salad (lunch) on the side for entree-like orders. We have yet to attend the Friday evening homestyle pizza and music events, but friends have said we are missing out, so much so that reservations are required to accommodate capacity Friday nights. One will find a richness of taste and texture in this Bakery that I have not found in other bakeries across the country. Hand-made quality ingredients have a natural sweetness. Thus, their products are rich in taste, but not overly sweet. Some have said the prices are a little high, but as a home baker of breads, pies, and cookies for charitable events who has costed out ingredients and labor, St Peters Bakery prices are very reasonable. I would recommend the triple ginger, oatmeal, and cowboy cookies, and any of the pies (my blueberry and apple pies are slightly better of course, although the Bakery has excellent variations thereof). The double chocolate cake and the fruit tarts are real crowd pleasers, and friends/relatives ask us to bring more of these when we travel.
Great bakery that turns into a music venue and pizza BYOB on Friday nights. Stop in for a treat after hiking the nearby trails, and come by for gourmet pizza and music to relax.
Cookies, cupcakes and brownies are amazing! They also serve sandwiches, coffee and homemade lemonade. Very quaint!
Must visit when you're there
Delicious breakfast amd desserts to go!!!
Delicious food for breakfast and lunch and awesome desserts can't beat the atmosphere
Great deserts. Amazing service. The prices were a little high but some deserts were enough for 2 ppl. I would definitely recommend it.
Great for lunch and the views from the back deck are great. The chocolate cake alone is worth the trip.
Nice little bakery
I love their baguettes
The best!
Sensational lunch. The bread was SUPERB. I had a salad and sandwich and it was unbelievable. Cookies for dessert were perfect. I came here a long time ago...32 years ago. Today it is PRIMO. Stop in and be surprised and pleased.
Fantastic and artfully crafted. Everything here is divine from the breads to the salads. They also make stunning wedding cakes. Can you say ganache?!
This is a must stop when in town. From the friendly service to the delicious sandwiches, we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Make sure you take a fresh pastry or baguette with you when you go.
One of my favorite places to eat all year round. Food is amazing and worth every penny, and you can tell the staff take a lot of pride in what they do.
Yummo! Their bread is excellent, as are their baked goods. Would definitely return.
Breakfast lunch or dessert! What's not to love? Homemade bread too!
Our Saturday date morning snack - delicious, warm and inviting.
Just had a delicious lunch here. Made even more special by the owner and her staff. I checked the website before we set out and the hours listed were 9-5. When we arrived at 3:22 we were so disappointed that they stop serving lunch at 3pm. We left sad and disgruntled;( only to be chased down and offered lunch) ;)!!! What a pleasant surprise and YUM experience! Even though we extended their work day the staff smiled and even checked in to make sure our choices were exactly as wanted. Bakery treats were the perfect ending. The peanut butter / chocolate torte was recommended and was even better than described! Thank you!! We'll be back ( many times. ) we ve always been happy with our meals but today most especially by the kind consideration of this lovely place;)
Desserts were out of this world!
Poor delivery on quality and value. Iced chai tea lacked spiciness and flavor. 2 varieties of cupcakes tried - although pretty good, both were quite small for their price of 4 to 5 dollars each. I can't recommend this place.
Love this place! In the summer, I take the kids boulder hopping. We make time to eat our delicious lunch on the deck with a view from heaven. If you have never been, it's a real treat. The soups and sandwiches, and dare I say desserts keep you coming back for more.
The Bakery is a cute place with great bread and pastries!
We've been frequenting The Bakery for years and absolutely love the food and the ambiance. Can't say enough good things about the baked goods, breads, quiche and salads. Combine that with charm and a delightful view. Recently had the wonderful experience of a great farm to table dinner which was outstanding!
Delicious pastries, friendly staff, good coffee. The regular coffee was excellent; better than the cappuccino.
Stopped in for coffee and a snack, really cool little place will go back if ever in the area
Good bakery, and great music on Friday night sometimes. Walk through to the back and see incredible views of the rocks below.
Everything I purchased at the bakery has been excellent. Great quality! Love the place! Its a must try!
Come here once in a while with my wife and kids. Everything you get here is absolutely fabulous, not cheap. You can tell that behind this business is someone who loves what she does. I don’t know the owner here but I can tell by the way the place looks, they way you get service and how we are treated, she love this business. Good for her, it’s hard to keep a bakery/ restaurant going like this busy and maintain quality. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My wife and I stopped by there yesterday for a sandwich and some treats. I know they have wonderful bakery items because I previously purchased them at the Phoenixville farmers market. However, I never had their sandwiches and so we decided it would be nice to grab a sandwich and sit outside on the deck . We were then informed you need a RESERVATION to do so. Are you kidding me? A reservation at a bakery. The tables were all empty. This is a bad business model for a bakery. I'm sure we are not the first people that left because they couldn't sit down and eat their food or goodies while enjoying the nice weather. I think they would do much better if they went to a first come/served model as most people would not expect you need a reservation at a bakery., *************************************************************************** Update *************************************************************************** We went there today for brunch and Melanie, her son Jeff, and the staff could not have been more accommodating.. My Frittata and my wife's quiche were amazing. We split a double chocolate cookie for desert that melted in your mouth. I already knew their baked items were the best, but now I know they also have a delicious brunch . There was some confusion the first time I went there on a Friday evening, that is the only time they suggest a reservation due to the popularity of their Friday night musical entertainment {which we definitely plan on attending.} In summation, I highly recommend this bakery. You can not go wrong with the meals, baked goods, and the view from the back deck overlooking St. Peter's village legendary scenery,,,
I got the granola at the Phoenixville Farmers Market and it is awesome! It is much better than packaged granola I get at Whole Foods. I live in NJ but if I was closer I would get it every week. I also got a croissant and it was really good too. Very impressed with this bakery! -- Inspired to write, that's how good it is.
Great little bakery in a beautiful setting. Great place to sit and sip a latte watching French Creek roll by. Stop often when I am biking for a slice of wonderful blueberry pie. Bought a pie for a party and went to and it received great reviews.. Good pizza on Friday night.
