You will be able to see all the feddbacks of real people like you who purchased the products of Oakmont Bakery (Bakery) around Pennsylvania area.
Currently the business has a rating of 4.8 out of 5 and this score has been calculated on 3143 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is practically the best, and it's founded on a large number of feddbacks, so we may say that the valuation is quite reliable. If many people have bothered to give their feddback when they've done well with the business, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually bother to put feddbacks when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Bakery corresponds to the category of Bakery.
I took my Dad to have breakfast for his 75th birthday and told him to pick his own birthday cake. He chose the Strawberry Bliss cake. It was my Dad (Ray) first time to Oakmont Bakery. He has had your doughnuts and cakes but never been to the bakery. He enjoyed his first visit and loved his chicken and waffles. He said they were the best he ever had. Thanks Oakmont Bakery for a great visit.
Mouthwatering desserts! A must try when you are in the area.
What a wonderful experience. You have to visit to get the true feeling. The bakery is still great and they have added a dining area. I will be coming back more often. They still need more parking.
The best of everything: breads, cakes, doughnuts, specialty desserts, etc. Just be prepared for a huge crowd of shoppers. This place is always busy.
Love the new bakery! The line moves quick and everyone is very friendly and helpful. The dolce cakes are out of this world, as well as the butter cookies.
Nice new building/echo chamber. Hard to hear over too loud music and much too loud PA system calling out numbers. Bakery still good - I'd order ahead to spend as little time inside as possible
I Love it the place is so pretty but sometimes the people who come to shop are rude to other customers giving the place of business a bad look and that's not what they are about... So just remember that when you are shopping you could turn good customer away just for being rude...
Best Bakery in Western Pennsylvania, go see for yourself, you will not be disappointed.
I don't think I can visit the area without stopping here. I've been going here since before I knew how to speak, and it hasn't changed a bit. Everything is top notch, I cannot stress this enough. If you don't believe me, ask any local.
Has every treat you need. Baked goods, candy, lunch and good coffee.
Wonderful assortment of items to choose from. Very friendly staff. Delicious!!
Love this place! Great pastries and cookies. Excellent service provided by Tristan today!
AWESOME. Killer donuts, yummy Italian bread, Brooklyn style bagels.
I introduced my now husband to Oakmont Bakery 17 years ago when we first started dating and they are the ONLY place for cakes, pies, or cookies. My hair salon is in Oakmont as well and needless to say after everything appt there is a put stop there. When we finally decided to get married last year they were the only place to go. They took 3 different designs we had and added our personal touches to our wedding cake. They also made the cookies and pastries for cookie table. When their delivery guy came to set it up, he made sure it was perfect. He called the store to ensure he was reading the order correctly since the writing was smugded and asked me repeatedly if it was how I wanted it. He was professional and super sweet. Courtney who we dealt with was AMAZING!!! She was patient, helpful, knowledge and very nice. She worked with us on a few hiccups as I'm sure everything wedding has but she never missed a beat.
This place can only be 5 stars. Best bakery ever. Cupcake selection for every palette and the perfect Italian pastries!
This is a wonderful bakery, every thing was delicious.
As someone who has a gluten intolerance, it’s quite a treat to find a bakery that has some gluten-friendly baked goods! Yummy almond torte! :P
Got this for a sweet 16 party. Beautiful decorations and super delicious cake. Just one thing is you must take the cake directly to the event or they won’t let you take it because it will ruin it. We went the night before and they wouldn’t let us take it so we had to come back.
I love the atmosphere. Foods are good. Some excellent. If you are visiting a must- see and visit place. Has coffee and eat-in dining if relaxing. Always busy. Traffic is bad usually getting in and out. They need to work on that with Oakmont. Great staff. And family owned business. Started from nothing and worked their way up. Great people and I highly recommend this stop. Seasonal favorites available. Call ahead or look online to see.
Amazing variety, and everything was delicious! Can't believe the sheer number of options. Also their ice cream and coffee are delicious too.
Fabulous bakery. Endless selection. And all the workers are so friendly and helpful!!
New location, lots of room but still super busy. Great sweets
The Oakmont was fantastic to work with up until the wedding day. They delivered on a beautifully designed cake with average taste. However ,customer service was lacking.
This place has an amazing selection including bread, donuts, cupcakes, cookies, pies, and cakes. All of it is beautiful and tastes just the same. It even has a few of the Italian bakery favorites like cannoli. It can he a little overwhelming to walk in and see the number of customers, but trust me, take a number and this place runs like a well oiled machine. I couldn't recommend it more!
I am here to visit my sister and this place is amazing.
Five stars for the best bakery that has ever been created. Please go and go often.
Great sandwiches! Parking lot is always packed.
This is a baked goods experience...not just a bakery...a vast aray of goodies. You can also stop by for dessert and coffee. Nice dessert place.
Nice queuing system, huge selection
This is an obvious must-visit spot if you’re in the area and want to see what Pittsburgh’s all about because Oakmont Bakery is a Pittsburgh ICON. Expect fast, friendly service in a massive, usually-packed shop full of every type of treat you can ask for. Try the Oakmonter for something different, or literally anything else from the case for a great dessert. Their breads and donuts are great too! Seriously, make the stop and fight the crowds. It’s worth it.
OMG best bakery I have ever been to. Selection was amazing and everything we had was delicious.
Easily the best bakery in Pittsburgh! Amazing pastries, bread, cakes and everything baked!! They have so many choices to choose from, the place is absolutely gigantic! They serve coffee, breakfast, lunch, etc along with all of there goods. Going here is an experience... An amazing one!
Absolutely amazing! I was out that way for an appointment and heard about it so I decided to stop because it is a hike from where I live. I bought several different things. The “Chip” cupcake super yummy! I did get some lady locks and a small almond torte cake for my mom-which was $5.75 and the equivalent to 2 1/2 slices of cake which you would have paid more for at a restaurant. I personally thought everything was reasonably priced considering I have paid about the same if not more for mediocre baked goods at the Market District. Even if you live far away it’s worth the drive if you have some time
This place is beautiful and delicious their staff is really friendly and cheerful
Love this bakery. The only complaint is parking. Very hard to get in and out. It is always busy and in a high traffic area.
Amazing delicious bakery with friendly staff and huge selection.
Delicious cake and desserts as we all know, but the wedding delivery is terrible. Also they were very rude to my family. Bad service. Not because you have 5 starts rating you can stop caring about your customers.
Such a unique place. The bakery offerings are endless and the place is huge and run very efficient. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch with some quite yummy sweets afterwards.
Most of their baked goods are very good. Gets extremely busy on weekends. Be prepared for long lines. Worth it though.
They just keep providing the best quality!
Awesome place, high energy, great food, coffee and service. Reasonable prices. YAY and Namaste'
The new location is beautiful (although I never saw the old one) it smells like heaven when you pull into the parking lot. They have a great ticket number routine where they call your number to go up to the counter and order. Very fast and efficient. We got half a dozen donuts got the next morning and they were still so fresh the next day. So much flavor. I wish it was closer. We just happened to drive past it on the way to an event. If I'm ever in the area I would live to try some other items.
Great food, but hard to find a parking space.
Amazing.... Lot of variety and delicious. We boughts pepperoni and bell pepper bread is awesome
Never visited the store, but I’ve had their baked goods brought in by someone at work. They are really serious about making good donuts! I will definitely visit them soon.
I am sure there are better bakeries, but you got love their display cases and the variety of baked goods. Everybody raved about their personal selections. Personally I judge bakeries on pies, breads, donuts and cookies. I selected the chocolate chip cookie and was very disappointed. Judging by the cookie selection, Oakmont cookies are not what they are known for. Impressive display and variety, don't go for cookies...of course that is just my opinion!
Very delicious. It cured my sweet tooth
Wow!! What a place. Long lines are nothing because it moves so quickly. The folks working there are on it, and treat you like you're the only person in the store. The "Goods" are far above the best! The creativity of they're bakery cakes etc. Is unmatched
Very busy, their self serve racks are great for a quick stop.
Service was great. Josh was very informative in answering our questions.
Clean clean organized busy many delicious looking bakeries and breads.
Great but should have auto open button for doors. Handicapped entrance is vital.
I try to give honest reviews so sort of sorry about this one. Was glad to see they were in their new location. It is beautiful. I spent $38 plus what I had for lunch. Their carrot cake (the small one) was awesome and so was their fresh Itialian bread. Bought some raisin filled cookies. There were no raisins. The cookies were folded over and seemed to have just knife full of sauce in them. Bought some danish and although the pastry was good I think they got smaller than they used to be. What a shame. Wonder if they have new owners.
The best in Pittsburgh. Could compete with any bakery anywhere in the world! Passionate family run business with a new facility that is absolutely breathtaking. I would eat anything made here. Mangia!
Oakmont Bakery with a wonderful we even had bought salads for lunch and chicken sandwich and brought them home everything was just wonderful the salad I ever ate I should have taken a picture of it I forgot thank you for being so good new bakery
Nice bakery, good products. The prices have dropped since they've moved into the new location and are now reasonable.
Oakmont Bakery has wonderful baked goods. The new facility offers a place to sit and have coffee, sandwiches, and the like. Unfortunately it has those super high ceilings that are so in Vogue now. It makes it virtually impossible to have a conversation while sitting in the restaurant part. Parking is hard to find, even with the extra parking lot down the block. In the opening of this store created a traffic nightmare in Oakmont. Overall I would recommend this Bakery only for their baked goods. Their breakfast sandwiches are typical of what you would find in just about any other restaurant. Simply put, my breakfast experience was nothing to write home about.
Legendary. It's hard to comprehend all the choices, and none of them are bad.
Carrot cake soooo good the girl that waited on me was so sweet and nice very helpful
Got a beautiful birthday cake! DELICIOUS
There are so many delicious options that it is hard to choose what to get here...really awesome bakery.
Amazing place! Remodeled building is slick but not an ideal place b/c traffic build up. Nice size parking lot as well.
The deserts are amazing I highly recommend going here
Everything was delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful
Visiting is an experience in itself. And you'll leave with some of the best baked goods that you have ever eaten...!
The lined was at least 30 people deep. I panicked and called the order in at the door and it was ready within 5 minutes as I just needed a premade cake with writing. As I was paying my number was called. So overall things went swiftly.
Yummy and quick service....I was number 68 when I arrived and they were only on 43.....I was waited on in no time by a pleasant employee!
Amazing selection. Biggest bakery I have ever been in.
Words cannot begin to describe this place. Just looking at the display cases you can gain 5 pounds. This place is awesome!
What an amazing place. Turbo squeaky clean, staff is friendly, accommodating, & happy to work there. Even tho its usually jam-packed with people, your number is called rather quickly so be ready as soon as possible with your order. TONS of ALL sorts of baked goodies from breads, pies, cakes, rolls, pastries, cookies, to muffins. And lots in between. These guys have their game down & it shows in their product & service.
Best baked goods around.
Awesome experience! We are using them for my sister’s wedding so we came to deliver the cake topper and get some goodies, they did not disappoint. So excited to see what they create for the wedding.
Best fresh doughnuts I ever had. FRESH is the key point. But a bit expensive though but I guess you can't put a price on quality
Best baked goods ever. Anything you could possibly want. Definitely worth the trip.
Busy. Sunday at 11 isn't the best time but the wait wasn't bad. Parking in the back is very convenient. All the items in the bakery are delicious you can't go wrong picking anything. I got lady locks, cheesecake, burnt almond torte [the best),and some doughnuts. Going home to enjoy them
Lunch was excellent with a nice selection. You can use a kiosk to customize everything without tying up a line. The bakery selections are vast and amazing. Best bakery I've been in since I was a teenager.
The bakery is already been famous for years so there isn't much to say that a lot of people haven't seen or heard about this place. First of all it is a massive place with a selection that will dwarf other bakery selections. Be prepared to struggle to find parking due to small lot and no street parking. There is eat-in space for those who want to sit and eat. The wait time can be significant in order to get a turn however it will give you time to walk up and down the cases to look at EVERYTHING!
So, this place is the heaven for people with a sweet tooth. There are lots of pastry and cake options. They offer them in single person, a couple sized and group portions. Some coffee options are available as well. That's not all. The bakery, obviously, sells breads as well. And they have a sandwich menu. Everything can be ordered for dine-in or take out. Finding a parking can be tricky some of the time.
I was here for the first time and it was amazing. The selection of baked goods was phenomenal. It definitely lives up to the hype you hear about it. I would definitely return!!
Awesome place. A bit expensive but great food. An interesting place to go and a unique retail experience. There's always a line but it moves fairly quickly. Parking is still a challenge due to inconsiderate idiots but plentiful due to the overflow lot.
It was my first time at Oakmont bakery! I have been waiting for this for a very long time. I've eaten their goodies but never had the pleasure of enjoying the atmosphere of the bakery. We arrived early enough (9:15am) to find a close parking spot and quick access to order breakfast. It was very overwhelming for a newbie. Had I not been with someone who knew what they were doing I would've been lost and in the way of other customers. It would be nice to have someone to greet and help the first time customers with the flow. The food was delicious, as always. I had a breakfast wrap, coffee, and Somoa donut.
The sandwiches are as good as their pastries!! I'll definitely be returning.
Love the food! Only problem is everybody loves the food which makes for a crowded bakery. Even with the new building there's still a lot of people. Bakery is a must go to place for the sweets.
Took a little bit to figure out the ordering situation (which is annoyingly not displayed anywhere. I hate these local places where you're just supposed to know the drill.). Great food, amazing baked goods, but the overall "everyone knows what to do" attitude was supremely off-putting.
The sandwiches at the Cafe were delicious and reasonably priced. Very filling and I will definitely be going back soon.
AWESOME AS ALWAYS! Except the getting to and from the ILLEAGALLY BUILT NEW BUILDING that WASNT ZONE or a PERMIT OBTAINED FOR!
So you have to take a number from in front of the main door, then stay behind the guard lines until that # is called. Such a really great bakery. Park around back (much easier) there's a door to enter on the side. Such a friendly staff constantly moving and busy. Very Very good sweets, don't have a favorite bc everything I've tried as been AMAZING!!!
The bake goods are very good but the cafe needs work. I've been there twice for lunch and sandwiches were just ok. A hot sandwich should be hot and cheese melted. I had a sandwich that was pressed in a panini press that made the bun so hard that it cut the roof of my mouth. The meat and cheese were cold inside. Not what I expected. There is definitely enough seating indoors and outdoors. I'd recommend the baked goods lots if variety.
Courtney and the staff at Oakmont Bakery did a beautiful job with my nephew’s Wedding cake. Most importantly, it was all done via email since I live out of town (New Jersey). I sent pictures to Courtney and she gave me prices, we finalized it and it turned out absolutely perfect. It was a beach themed wedding, a very laid-back and relaxed kind of setting... The cake was magnificent and everybody was commenting on how beautiful and delicious it was... I would absolutely recommend them to anyone for their special occasion. You will not be disappointed!
What a great place. A wide variety of sweets and breads. A must visit!
Absolutely awful customer service. Aloof, sharp, and extremely rude. Very hard to get hold of on the phone and through email. Do they have quality bakery goods, yes. Are they pleasant to work with and courteous to their customers. definitely not. Fortunately, there are so many other wonderful bakeries in town.
To big feels institutionalized. Should have more seating and more self ordering stations away from the entry doors. Other than that great stuff. Parking could have been set up more efficiently.
Really nice place to eat and buy all kinds of pastries
I used to go to Oakmont a bunch as a kid and then I moved away. I came back and visited for the first time in 6 years and it looks great! They have so many more delicious sweets and the building is much bigger. The employees were very nice and were able to understand descriptions of deserts that I had forgotten the names of. I definitely will go back! I ordered a cookie cupcake, a happy camper cupcake, and an apple dumpling which were all very delicious! I also got their everything bread which is super great warmed up! You should definitely visit the Oakmont Bakery of you are ever in town.
Best cakes ever. Cookies are good but cakes are the best
Best pastries and desserts ever.
Oakmont Bakery lives up to its reputation. The cake is some of the best in Pittsburgh. The key lime pie is amazing. If you go on the weekend, it's going to be packed. Take a number and wait. It will take much less time than you think and it's worth it.
If you're ever in or near the Pittsburgh are, you MUST visit this bakery. Everything is oh so delicious!
The new backery is awesome. Love the gobs and pecan rolls!
If you have never been to Oakmont bakery you need to make the trip. Phenomenal bakery. My favorite is the almond torte cake and the Oakmonter. Huge selection, friendly staff and very clean establishment.
It's pretty awesome.. Iv been going to Oakmont bakery for years and love it. Now with the new building there is more space then ever and the baked goods are better than ever. Don't over look there food either the sandwich's are great.
It's like unbelievably dreamy.I loved it.
Just go that's all I have to say ,you won't be disappointed. Try their everything bread if you haven't WOW. EVERYTHING IN THERE IS WOW.
Best iced Oatmeal raisin cookie on the planet!
Amazing place! Clean and great bakery items! Highly recommend it. I drive almost an hour to this place!
New building is huge. All the goodies r still gr8. 1 of r fav places to go
I love this place, the new location is gorgeous and easy to get to. It is always busy so be prepared before you go and grab a number but the line moves relatively quickly and it gives you a chance to make a decision (it's so hard because there are SO many options). I've never eaten anything from Oakmont bakery that I haven't loved. Plus, you can order most things online.
The pasties were good as always. I just do not like the functionality of the new bakery
Incredible bakery. I have tried the donuts (can't go wrong with any of them, but PA Dutch is the best), cakes, tiramisu, bagels, and bread. All have been delicious! Prices are *very* reasonable, too. The wait times can get a bit long, but given my experiences ans the fact that they have so many regulars means that the wait is worth it!
This is in my opinion the Best Bakery in the US! Staff is very helpful and so nice to customers! I have to stop here every time I go back home!
Fantastic pastries and wonderful atmosphere make this bakery a great place to go. Only real problem is what to get once you start browsing. They also have tables and chairs in case you decide to eat there.
Great lunch in their cafe and the best baked goods I have ever eaten.
Love everything I have ever bought there! Lunch, bread, pastries...!
If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and get something from here. It's all equally delicious.
We love all the goodies there. We are missing the pumpkin filled donuts though
Bought some Gluten free chocolate chip cookies and some gluten free vanilla cupcakes. The cookies were soft (not hard as most gf cookies are) and delicious!!! The cupcakes were moist and very flavorful!!! Thank you.
The Oakmont bakery has the most fantastic items on the planet!! It's just hard to get in there because it's so popular. I went on my lunch break recently and it was even an odd time of day and I ended up leaving because unfortunately I didn't have enough time to wait. Hoping to go back one of these days.
A great variety of options, $30. Later we couldn't decide and enjoyed trying a little bit of everything
This is one of my favorite places! We live in the DC area and only make it up about once a year if that but we always plan to go if we are even remotely close by. The new facility is amazing! I recommend the Almond Torte!
Oh my, this is the place! It is a wonderful bakery. If you can imagine it, they probably have it. I so enjoyed my time eating, drinking my coffee and reading. A really top notch place.
When I walked in I thought it would take forever . I was 925 and when I walked in they were on 907 it only took only 7 min to be checked out . Very pleased
Don't go there hungry! Everything looks amazing! Not cheap, but extremely delicious. The environment is very loud, and can be overwhelming. I'll be sure to take earplugs next time.
So this is the fabled Oakmont Bakery. Visited today for the first time and was overwhelmed by the selection of goodies. I could go in here with a gallon of milk and spend the whole day wallowing in gluttony. My wife was with me however so I had to show a bit of restraint. Ended up with a Lemon Torte, Mini Lemon Pies, Elephant Ears, and Cinnamon NY Sticks. Yum.
The first time I visited this bakery was like dieing and going to heaven. I've been extremely impressed with everything I've tried. I've ordered cookies for my son's birthday and cheesecake for the holidays, too. Great service and products.
This is the most beautiful and impressive bakery I have ever seen. It was a bit of a drive but worth it. Everything was absolutely delicious. We got the Oakmonter as as someone who is allergic to chocolate, it was 100% worth it.
Good baked goods! Inside is inviting lots of seating.
Such an awesome bakery. Tried the everything bread for the first time and loved it. The Oakmonter Cake is the signature and it will not disappoint. The parking and navigation tactics to get there are a little rough. Once you accomplish it though you’ll be a pro.
Oakmont Bakery is there any other don't think so OMB is the greatest the new building is huge very clean and the system they have in place you don't have to wait long and all their staff are very polite and friendly I recommend everybody trying not to new place.
I brought a friend here and he called it the 8th wonder of the world. When you go in immediately take a number. (Center of the floor by the main entrance, I didn't know this my first time in and it was shoulder to shoulder in the place) The line usually looks intimidating but it moves really fast. They are on the pricey end but I've not had a thing there that I didn't like. On another note I was sad to see walking into the bakery from the side lot that the employee break area is next to the dumpsters. This company makes enough money to provide an outdoor sitting area for its employees AWAY from the dumpsters. (I do not know anyone who works here, this was my observation during my visit)
This place is fantastic. We are ordering our wedding cupcakes here. They have the best sweets in town. Get anything and it's going to be great!
Never have I ever went here and been dissatisfied in any way.
First experience here. I was picking up a cake that I had ordered online (American Torte, which everyone loved), and I wanted to grab a few other things. Except no one spoke to me. It was 2 in the afternoon on a Friday. It was busy, because I'm sure it always is, but for the time of day it wasn't too bad. No one helped me. My number was called and I was ignored. I wouldn't visit again for this reason. I'll go elsewhere to spend my money.
BEAUTIFUL BAKERY, Came for a Boston cream pie...
Have you ever had a bad anything from here? Of course you haven't!! Simply the best!
Oakmont Bakery is a staple among local Pittsburghers. They have everything from specialty cakes, to cookies, to dipped fruits, to holiday/seasonal creations. Everything I've had from there has been delicious. The experience is pleasant with friendly staff and easy to maneuver display cases. Stop in, grab a number and try your new favorite bakery! My favorite is the Almond Torte!
Haven't been here in 15 + years, and glad my prosthetic Dr. Is very close so I have an excuse to go. They have plenty of staff on hand when it was busy last time I went, so waited no more than 10 minutes. Haven't tried the food yet, but I'm sure it's great as well the one star is missing is parking was a bit chaotic.
State of the art facility with a unique setup that prompts fast service and a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is nice and even though it can become busy and chaotic it works. The food is on another level and out of this world!
So we went there on our first visit and we're looking forward to buying some things. Not horrible prices but daniil was not particularly helpful and kind of rude with his answers. The place was very crowded which was fine but there is no real signs about the ordering and it was a bit of a non sense way with no organization as far as the people in there. Seems to me they are just happy to make money and don't really care if it's a bit chaotic or not because they stay on the other side of the counter and don't have to really deal with it. I'm not saying horde us in like sheep but maybe a better set up that allows people to feel welcome there. We did purchase some food all looks great and I'm sure will trade good as well Most likely will not go back again
Oakmont Bakery is a wonderful place. There are sights and sounds of customers to enhance your visit. The baked goods are excellent.
Great lunches. Sweets to die for. Don't be discouraged if it's crowded. They move people through quite quickly. They served over 100 while I was there for a lunch. If you're not sure about the ordering process, ask anyone. Staff and customers are all very friendly.
Awesome food, great treats.
We visited this bakery for the first time today 8-17-19 We were totally amazed at the different kinds of pastries, cakes, breads etc. the many different varieties. The people who work there are so friendly and helpful. We are from Johnstown, Pa. and we will definitely be back. Everything we purchased was so delicious and so fresh was just unbelievable.
Super clean, personable quick service, delicious food beautiful prepared. only downfall can be the wait in line which is in no fault of the Bakery's, just so much volume of customers.
Not sure how anyone could give this place anything but 5 stars. The ownership of this establishment is five stars and you can see this as it carries through in everything they do all the way down to the cashiers. Everything the baker's made tastes delicious it's fresh priced appropriately this place is an absolute Pittsburgh stop for anyone visiting. Just take your patients because they are always busy which reflects on how fantastic this place really is
Can't find a better bakery, everything is fantastic, service is great and friendly
New location was a breath of fresh air. The large open space and wonderful food selection makes it a staple to visit if making your way through Pittsburgh area!
Delicious. The new kiosks to order food are fantastic too!!
Definitely not the place to go if you want to lose weight. They have the most awesome Bakery I've ever been in so much of a selection and the help is so wonderful if I could give it more than a five stars I would
A great Oakmont/Pittsburgh tradition. It may be a new and beautiful location but the history of the bakery is the thing that keeps me going back. And I would be remiss without mentioning Michael the manager, I think he lives in a van down by the river, just kidding, he is always there and always happy to help. Ask for him!
Overhyped to the extreme, terrible atmosphere! Oakmont Bakery has some delicious items, however most are mediocre at best compared to some of the other high quality bakeries in the area. Crossiants dont have that crunch they should, macarons are way too sweet(a common theme for everything)bread is no better than you can get a giant eagle bakery. All packaged in a factory like environment.
Impressed by professionalism displayed by the staff! Food tastes great too!!!
I’ve never seen such an environment and wide range of products in this area. Probably one of the best bakeries in Pennsylvania. However, their customer service system is a little bit confusing for first-timers, and apparently I wasn’t the only one confused when there for a visit. Perhaps they’re still adapting to the recent expansion.
Everyone knows the Oakmont Bakery in it's new spacious location. I hope to try their paczki next Fat Tuesday
Was a bit of a walk I am handicap and couldn't park close so I had to wait for half an hour just to get a place to park witch upset my wife. But the bake goods we're wonderful
Awesome, huge, lovely bakery! Excellent selection of delicious products and amazing, efficient customer service! Clean and welcoming!
Oakmont Bakery never disappoints. I drive around 45 minutes from my home just to get their maple bacon doughnuts and chocolate covered strawberries since they are my favorite. This location does have a bit of a wait, but it is definitely well worth it.
They won't run a loaf of discounted bread thru the slicer = 1 star. - - - I grew up in Pittsburgh but this was my first time here. It's an amazing place and gets fabulous reviews, so obviously my 1-star rating is an outlier. So what's it based on? Principle. To not take 30 seconds to run a loaf of bread thru the slicer (for my 81-year-old mom), like almost every bakery will do as a matter of course, is simply wrong. I'm just kinda speechless that they would create a policy where a loaf of bread won't be sliced. Really? I mean, really? Did the Bakery feel they are losing money or going thru some other unsustainable hardship that they had to stop slicing the discounted bread? Really? I just think this says something significant about the character of the owners, who, I'll certainly admit otherwise seem to be good business people (or maybe it's the manager?). Look, maybe I'm old fashioned or have some facts wrong here, and maybe its long-time universal nation-wide bakery tradition to not slice the day-old bread for a customer, and I'll be the first to admit it. But on the face of it, it's simply rediculous, to me, that the Oakmont Bakery won't slice a loaf of bread from the discounted rack. ESPECIALLY for a senior citizen who might not be as good with a knife as they used to be. It's just absurd.
This is the absolutely best bakery in the area in terms of choices, tastes and prices. They have cakes, cupcakes donuts, pastries, desserts, bread products, bagels etc. Somehow, the bakery is able to bake perfectly delicious items that are not cloyingly sweet to the taste. The bakery staff are pleasant, courteous and knowledgeable about their products. IMO their best cakes are the Chocolate Mousse and the Black Forest. If ordering bakery products, you should take a number from the ticketing machine immediately after entering as there is nearly always a queue waiting to be served. The queue can triple during certain pre-holidays. They also have regular cafe food, hot or cold drinks and ice cream that you can order from a side counter or via a touchscreen kiosk (you do not need to take a number to do that). There are plenty of small tables and chairs inside the new large and airy bakery, and a few tables and chairs outside on the shaded patio. There is also a neat fireplace with seats, and WIFI. The parking lot in the back is much bigger than the one in front. The bakery is oddly placed in relation to the surrounding roads. It is easy to turn into the bakery from any road, but once inside the car park, it is difficult (and I believe not allowed at times) to make left turns on Halton Road to cross the bridge. That is not a biggie because you just have to make a loop around the small roads to get back to Halton eventually.
