Such a great place to eat!! Oh man, that lunch buffet was just scrumptious!! The "mac n cheese", is outta this world good! Not kidding! And "perogi cassarole", Holy cow! The price for lunch IS a bit pricey....$14.00, but it includes a drink,(which i didn't know). The selections are wonderful, an a salad I got was there, was "Creamy Lettuce with boiled eggs, sweet n sour dressing", Oh my Heaven's ! I had a reg salad, pumpkin muffin, main entree's, buns, + a dessert. (An a drink to go!) Wow!!! Nothing bad here!! Go there, you will not be sorry!

Nice restaurant. They have a buffet or you can order off the menu. Reasonably priced. The staff is amazing and friendly. They have a greenhouse and shops also connected to this restaurant.

Every time we go there, usually during a bus trip that we had just booked, the food is great. You can either eat from there buffet line or go into their cafe area and order food. I always get the meat loaf and another family member gets the roast beef. Big portions fill the plate and always go home with leftovers. They have a large gift shop and flower nursery. Always busy because people come back time and time again. Give them a try and remember.. come hungry.

I love this place!! Its like a tiny version of Shady Maple. Between the dinner buffet, candy shops, trinket shops, and garden center there is something for everyone. Lovely place to be, staff is always very nice and such a calming atmosphere.

Love this place! We were accidentally charged twice for one item but in their defense it was about 10 minutes past closing time and they were extremely patient with us while we picked out our last few items. It was hard to leave! We will soon return to hit to restaurant and bakery!!

What a neat place! Felt like an original Cracker Barrel. All scratch made comfort food. Excellent bakery. A few people highly recommended the buffets, but we got there too late for it, so we ordered off of the menu. Food was excellent. Overall very touristy feel. Gift shop, nursery and ice cream stand. VERY clean! Staff was very pleasant and attentive. Will definitely go here again!

If you've read some of the other reviews you already know this place is amazing from eating to shopping. This review is about our server, Julie G. There were 8 of us at our table celebrating my sister-in-law's birthday. Altough highly unusual, we found some of the selections a little dry, tough or overcooked (fish, prime rib, shrimp). However, our server made up for it by her constant, friendly attention to our needs. We filled and emptied drinks and plates faster than I thought possible. But even though Julie was also working other tables, her service was above par and always with a smile and friendly words. She was a true joy. Julie, if you are reading this, thank you again for taking such good care of us. You canbet we will be back!

Very happy with the venue. We've been here probably 10x and the service is consistently good, the food decent, and the wait times fast! On the busiest day (mother's day) we probably had a 20 minute wait. The place is very big and open, so don't expect a tight nit environment.

I grew up going here and was excited to visit again when visiting relatives. The food is always fresh and good quality. I especially like their mac & cheese. I also love walking around the store when we are done eating. They have a good selection of candy and baked goods and still offer a wooden nickel to children that they can exchange for five pieces of candy. The rest of the store is a mixture of kitchen supplies, home decorations, silk flowers, outdoor decorations, and children's books and toys. My favorite section however is the greenhouse full of plants to look through.

Eat here regularly. They always have good food and good service. Would recommend to anyone that hasn't been here. You will not leave disappointed. Buffet seems overpriced but includes drink and dessert. Roughly same price (or less for lunch) as anywhere else when you take that into considerstion.

Country themed restaurant serving delicious food with ample portions at reasonable prices. They also have a bakery, high end chocolates, nostalgia sodas and candy, and a gift shop. An on premises greenhouse adds to the overall atmosphere. The entire building is immaculately kept and parking is never a problem.

Hadn't been here on years and was surprised how much it had grown. The breasted chicken was as good as I remembered. But I had the seafood platter and the crabcake was all breading and no crab. Our waitress was nice enough but they move you through pretty fast. And they could use bigger glasses for beverages. I had to ask for 4 ice tea refills and the waitress never offered without me adking.

"If you need a serrated knife to cut it, it's not 'prime rib'." I visit the weekend buffet monthly (on average). I love prime rib. But, in the past couple years, the quality has really taken a dive, specifically, the prime rib. Only about 1 in 3 visits leave me satisfied with the quality of the meat. The beef is often very tough. They now have serrated steak knives available at the cutting station. Looking for a new buffet!

Country Cupboard.....what has happened to the quality of your food and presentation of that food. I’ve been coming to your restaurant since I was a teenager. I am now 57. In the past 6 months I have frequented your restaurant on 3 different occasions. The first time in that time period, our experience with waitstaff was not up to par. We were with a group of 12 and my husband’s meal never came. By the time we got our waitress’s attention, and she ordered his meal again, he never got his meal until we were all done eating. His order of haddock was dry and not hot at all. Very disappointed. Willing to chalk it up to a bad night, we were back again in April for a birthday dinner with family. Again, the food was dry and tasteless. I ordered a spinach salad that was half the size it normally is and looked as if it had been just thrown together. It really didn’t look appetizing at all. A family member got a steak salad and the steak was so grisly and chewy, it had to be tossed. That brings us to this evening, June 9. We were there for my brothers wedding reception. Since it was a party of 30, we had to get the buffet. The broasted chicken was dry, tasteless and chewy. The pork loins were equally chewy. The meatloaf was “okay.” At least it was moist, but still tasteless. The only thing decent was the prime rib. The buffet was definitely NOT worth the price you pay. As stated above, I’ve been coming to your restaurant for a VERY LONG TIME and something has changed. Please get back to where you used to be. As I can see from other recent reviews, others are disappointed for the same reasons I noted above. Time to regroup and get back to where you were.

Absolutely rude mean woman at the desk. Walked in at 7:34 and she shouted at us 'I'm sorry, we're closed'. The sign on the door stated they closed at 8. My husband looked at his watch and I said "you're closed?' to which she replied 'yes! We're closed'. She actually did us a favor because we ended up at Matty's Sporthouse and our waitress, Sara and the food were awesome. Country Cupboard should look into hiring customer centric personnel like Sara

Had a late lunch there today. I had the soup, salad and dessert bar, my husband had the chicken fingers with Mac and cheese and fries also on his plate was a small scoop of stuffing and cranberry sauce. At the salad bar I started with a cup of potato soup there was also tomato as a choice also. The salad bar had a large selection of choices to put on your salad. There where 3 types of breads to choose from. The dessert bar was big and had to choice from. I had the blueberry delight and was good. They had a ice cream machine there you helped yourself too. They have 3 types of buffets during the day dinner buffet starts at 4pm. They have a breakfast buffet to. The prices are reasonable and when done they have shop there too.

Stopping at Country Cupboard has always been a family tradition since before I was born. We travel from Sayre, PA to Gettysburg, to our family homestead for our family reunion. Its a great weekend of camping and family that has scattered themselves across the states and even countries. After that I look forward to the annual stop at the CC. The buffet is always superb! My typical "grab a plate of food yet only pick at it" children...they cleaned their plates every time they filled it!!! You can't forget to look around the shops when you are done. There is a little something for everyone from oldfashioned candy/soda to up to date wall decor. Maybe im just biased of the place because I like traditions. But this 33yr old still loves stopping here and my kids are loving this tradition as well.

The food was fresh and the service was just right. We got right in at lunch time to get the buffet. My only personal opinion is that some of the food was saltier than I would have expected. We are trying to cut back. The sweets are addicting! It is hard not to buy something from the various sections in their store. It is well worth a trip there.

When it comes to Buffet's this place is the best I have been to anywhere in the world. The food tastes amazing! When you are done, walk it all off through their massive store that sells all kinds of neat little things. The kids love it, and my wife and I could spend hours in there looking at everything. Especially in their green house!

Decor is over the top 'ugly Grandma' interior but looks fairly clean. They really work hard to hide the price of their buffet. It's not even listed on their menu, which was almost a deterrent to even going. The building is a massive maze of store kiosks and counters of merchandise. There is an electronic screen scrolling through ads at the hostess stand that lists Friday night buffet as special for having prime rib, but we went on a Sunday and discovered that it's the same price with all the same features- again, just a confusing bit of advertising meant to trick you into not knowing the price for sure until you're in the door. The food was decent and I enjoyed the selection. Flavor wise I found a lot to be on the bland side. We paid $22/person. I wouldn't go back.

We were there today and disappointed. Ordered the chicken tenders and the chicken was tough. Their homemade garnish is stuffing/dressing and cranberry, which they top with gravy, weren't asked if we wanted gravy. Don't like gravy and it encroached on the chicken tender, on the bright side they weren't eaten any way. Read the fine print steak salad comes with bleu cheese crumbs, not a fan. Normally the wait staff would ask "do you want gravy" or may mention the bleu cheese since it is an acquired taste. Again, read the fine print.

It's a great place to eat if you want room temperature food and iced tea that is overly diluted with water. When the waitress brought our drinks, she said that she forgot my iced tea but would bring it back. I had to ask again for it. Since I ordered a dinner, I was supposed to get a muffin and roll, which they usually bring out beforehand. I also had to ask for that. Not coming back here anytime soon.

The shops inside are worth the stop alone. We ate there and the food that I ordered was way more than plentiful. I had the chicken parmesan, my go to meal. The spaghetti was not the thin that I usually use. My fault not theirs, I should have asked. Chicken was hot and not dry. Greg had the fish combo. He said it tasted good but for the price it could've had a bit more on it. We are driving through but glad we stopped

Can you spell "Tourist Trap"? Waaaaay overpriced. Food is mediocre - you can get it's equal at any diner in the area. Fast food is a step up. I've eaten here multiple times, spanning nearly 50 years - and I've always wondered WHY anyone wanted to go there. And I still do. Lots of good reviews - mostly from people whom apparently have an under-developed set of taste-buds, and an overly stuffed wallet.

What a terrible experience. We stood at the hostess station waiting to be seated, watching the hostess jabber with customer friends with her back to us. She finally turned around when one of her friends pointed us out to her. She did apologize and seated us. We then waited and waited, watched more "friends" walk in and take up the staff's time. We finally got tired of waiting and left. On our way out I told one of the waitresses (who was standing around holding the wall up) that I didn't know who was supposed to wait on us but we were sitting there being ignored. And again I was ignored. She looked away from me and didn't say a word.

The buffet was great. Prime rib, roasted potatoes, choice of vegetables, salads made for a super meal that would have cost much more at another restaurant. And the food was great. We were babysitting our grandson (20 months old), who ate free. His parents were at a basketball camp all weekend. They came in late from the camp and helped him eat even more. The staff was super with the parents. They did not eat, but this allowed us to sit and converse. Thank you Country Cupboard for being so gracious to our family.

My favorite place to escape to. I'd rate this place 10stars if I could. YUMMY chocolates, a large selection of plants, unique crafts to buy, so many things to browse and see. A very fun place to shop. The only critique I have is the restaurant is WAY over priced. Would be 100% perfect if they would lower the price (i.e. Cracker Barrel prices would be ideal).

The buffet isn't what it used to be. Dry roasted chicken. Hard sticky buns and the Salisbury steak is just plain awful. The only thing I enjoyed from the buffet was broccoli salad and macaroni and cheese. The knot rolls were also hard like they were sitting out for a few hours. For 20 bucks I'd rather travel to Golden Corral.

The roasted chicken was cooked to perfection crispy and juicy on the inside. You have to try the grilled sticky bread al a mode. Hands down the best dessert I had.

We went 2 years ago and they had a really good variety in the stores and the buffet was out of this world. Now the buffet is average and pricey for what you get. Did not care for the desserts. And the stores are not that great anymore.

Very very pricey, not very wheel chair accesable, food is standard comfort fare, with lots of emphasis on fish. So much fish....good if you wanna while away a very very long evening
