Ordered my wedding cake from them - which was a horrible mistake. Went in to pick it up the day before my wedding, cake was set on a counter far away from me and I was told to wait outside while they boxed it up. I didn't think much of it, and when he (Rob the baker) came out with the cake he let us know to keep it cool but not refrigerated since they use modeling chocolate and fridges can cause condensation. He also mentioned how to repair in case a crack did happen on the outside. My maid of honor and I drove out to my venue with the cake in her lap and the AC on to keep the cake cool. As we arrived she looked into the box and said "it's broken". The entire lower tier had split open and the supports inside were toppled over, leaving the top tier to fall against the side of the box. When I contacted the owners about any kind of replacement or compensation I was answered with being told that they never recommend holding cakes in your lap while driving (which we were not told at the bakery), and that since we left with our cake they are not responsible for what happened. They then referred us to look at the contract - which states that they would attempt to recreate the cake within a 24 hour time window. We had contacted them over 24 hours before the start of our ceremony, and they claimed there was not enough time to make us a new cake "even out of courtesy". The cake did not have the proper structure and it collapsed on itself because of that. Wouldn't recommend sending anyone here, even my worst enemy.

HORRIBLE!!!! My fiancee and i went in to get a quote on a 6 inch sculpted cake. Was talking to Rob about prices and such told him how much id like to spend. Also how my family and i were going to make cupcakes for our wedding. Rob told us for $100 more then what i originally wanted to spend that they would make the cake and cupcakes for the wedding. So i agreed about a week and a half later, i got an email from his wife saying that they werent going to do what we had discussed for the price i was told i would be paying. I asked how much more would it be then, and they more then doubled the price and we still would have to pay even more to do a tasting. Worst experience of my life! Horrible business.

I ordered this cake two weeks in advance. When I showed up the day of my event at 9:30, the cake was completely white. He hadn’t even begun decorating yet. I sat and waited 25 minutes while he quickly threw it together. This cake was meant to be a name announcement for my baby shower, which is why I agreed to pay the $200 for a cake! On the drive home, the cake was literally falling apart. When paying that price, I would expect they would take the time I deserve to create the cake they said they could. I emailed them my concerns, and all I got was a “sorry about that”, they couldn’t even reply to my messages. This place seriously lacks customer service. People at my baby shower asked if I made the cake. Not one person thought it was worth what we paid. So upset and disappointed. I would STRONGLY urge you to find a different bakery. God forbid I had trusted them with my wedding cake!

Worst Customer Service Ever. Ordered a cake for my son's birthday and showed up at 10:30am (the scheduled time to pick up), only to be told the cake won't be ready until 1pm. I asked "why couldn't I get a phone call telling me this after driving 30 minutes to get here?". His response was "you don't need to be rude to me". Seriously? You know what's rude, is not calling your customer about the situation and forcing them to make an hour round trip while pregnant with a 2 and 5 year old in the car. Then, he went on trying to give me a refund with no cake. I left and the cake was picked up by someone else for the party, still late at that time too. Both cakes were very sloppy and sub par. The lady boss did give me a 50% refund after apologizing through email without me even asking but I believe the baker needs to take a class on customer service. I felt like I was on candid camera waiting for someone to tell me "just kidding". This is not the first time I've seen his ridiculous behaviour, he once was yelling loudly at his young kid in front of customers...very inappropriate! I'll never be going back and neither will any of my family members.

Hired them for my wedding, everything was explained on their website so I knew what I was getting into before I even went to the cake tasting. Met with Rob who makes phenomenal cake and the buttercream is the best I've had. Kristina followed up with a formal contract and I had the opportunity to ask questions, but most of all see my contract before I signed it and continued to have access through their wedding portal (which was a huge plus!) of our conversations and any changes I was able to see and authorize. Payment plan was very helpful.

I hate to do this, but I am hoping to spare my fellow towns people the issues that I faced in trying to order a cake from Next Dimension. I was a pretty regular customer, and decided I would order a cake for my daughters graduation. I was told to go through the website. I first thought I wanted a 2 tiered cake so I filled out the custom cake form to try and get a quote. After several emails back and forth I was finally quoted a price of $6 to $7 per person. Apparently that is their only price range for custom cakes. They could have just said that on the website and saved several days of my time waiting for a quote. Anyway, that was more than I wanted to spend so I ordered 2 round cakes instead. I picked the frosting, filling, cake type and gave links to example cakes and gave my idea on color and the theme. I paid in full on the website. A few weeks later I got an email from Kristina Bragdon giving me the cake pricing for a custom cake again. I told her I was fine with the 2 round cakes I had already ordered. Then she said I needed to pay for my order. I said I already paid online. She said Oh ya it is paid in full. Then she said no wait it is not paid in full. I will send you an invoice. I then got an invoice for $27. I opened the invoice to see that there were 2 round cakes, but not the sizes or type of cake or frosting that I had ordered. I was very concerned at that point that either my order did not reach her or something went wrong in the system. I called the bakery and left a message saying I needed her to call me to straighten this out. There had been to many conflicting emails and I just wanted to go over my order on the phone with her. The next day I received an email that she was cancelling my order. In her email she said there had been several mistakes and the website was new, etc. And even said in the future I will just call the customer and clarify the order with them. That is all I wanted. Now I am left with no cake and very short notice to get one. I was trying really hard to buy locally and I am sure the cake would have been great, but Kristina made it an impossible dream to have a functioning cake bakery in Forest Grove. I would suggest she find another job and give this position so someone more suited for customer service. I hate to see a good local business go bad, but I think that has happened at Next Dimension.

Donuts are amazingly fresh every morning when I stop by. A good variety on the menu and ran by a very nice couple. Cakes are moist and delicious. Highly recommend! Everything I have tried is superb.

Nice deli/bakery, but not a true bakery that make all their own on-site. Donuts, crawlers, etc. are made elsewhere and delivered to them each morning, selection is limited because of this. Conveniently located near the University.

BUYER BEWARE NOT WORTH THE MONEY OR TIME! THE MOST STRESSFUL PART OF MY WEDDING WAS A CAKE AND CUPCAKES THAT WERE OVERLY PRICED AND VERY SLOPPY! Also emails demanding your review be changed without any type of resolution to concerns. Blow customer off with statement of “you’ve had your closure.” There is nothing good to be said. Upon consultation on October 28, was told 2-7 day turn around for contract. Groom, mother in law and father in law all attended and heard this. After a month of waiting, no contract. Was told over and over it’d be there soon (next week, by the end of the week, after they moved, etc.). Did not receive until December 22 after having to write out exactly what was discussed as somehow it was unclear as to flavors, style of cake, number of cupcakes. Should have known right then after discussion and reading multiple reviews by others to CANCEL the order and not pay the deposit. As the day got closer was repeatedly told the cake would “melt” if in the heat. Our venue had managed to keep cool. Compromised twice on delivery time to avoid this melting issue. DELIVERY WAS LATE! Arrived at 8:11, final product not on table until after that time. No acknowledgment from the bakery to bride or groom or any one else within the cake area before departing. Horrible service and guests commented on the lack of professionalism as it was delivered. When cutting into the cake, it was clear something was not right. Cut in to it 5 minutes after it was delivered... Cake crumbled and even trying to grab a piece to feed the bride and groom was impossible. It was warm to the touch like it had already been out in the heat prior to delivery. The so called “not fondant” was terribly done, too thick on top, thin on the sides, not at all equal. It was not the same quality as sampled at the shows we had attended. The lines on the cake were very unclean. The rose on the top was supposed to be a baseball rose. It was white with red specs splattered on the tips. Not at all a baseball type rose as it looked like a bleeding rose. The green of the stem was not a true green. It was a dull green and was very sloppy looking. The red was to be Belles dress from Beauty and the Beast, not even remotely close. It looked like sloppy loops with no clear detail. The cupcakes were a whole different story. Reviews from our guests ranged from dry, under cooked, over iced, filling, no filling, filling in the liner not the cupcake, flavor not there, bland, overly sweet and more. Not the cake and rich flavors we had sampled. The cupcake base, which they claimed would look good, was an UNCOVERED PIECE OF WOOD! Not what was expected at all (especially for the price) as it states in contract it was supplied. The toppings on the cupcakes looked rushed, no symmetry at all. Some were so off with the lacing lines it looked terrible. Cupcakes were to be rounded like baseballs; they were flat and overlapped. There were to be two greens for grass, did not happen. It was not the quality that had been promised at consultation. OVERPRICED! To top it off: did put the cake in the fridge after cutting, hoping to save it for anniversary. The poor quality resulted in water bubbles all over the cake and the cake imploding on itself. It met the trash the following morning as it was so far gone to try and save. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE UNLESS YOU WANT A HEADACHE AND TO PAY MORE THAN WHAT YOU SHOULD!

Found them through a posting in regards to another bakery shutting down where I was supposed to have my cake made. Next Dimension Bakery CAME TO THE RESCUE!! They were very cordial and are working with my last minute wedding. I am SO glad I ran into their cordial post about helping this bakery out that was shutting down, it is so nice to see a bakery that DOES NOT talk down about other bakeries. Brett Blackw appears to be a troll here being offended because a business did what a business should do and reached out in a time of desperation for me and my fiance. I ordered a custom cake back in March and was very happy with the design and price (military discount offered). I ended up ordering another cake for my daughters birthday. After ordering it I called to mention the military discount and confirm the pick up time. I was told they no longer did military discount on custom orders and the pick up time would have to be the day before due to them being closed. I hated the idea of a cake being made a day or 2 before the event but was assured it would still be fresh. About 2 1/2 weeks before the party we realized our venue wasn't going to work and wanted to cancel the order. I was told they do not offer any refunds. It was pretty stressful because as much as I wanted to reschedule our party, the $60 I spent on the cake would of been lost. I ended up rescheduling it to the Saturday the day I was picking up the cake and email them 3 days before that I'd pick up a few hours earlier. She wasn't sure if that "sudden change" was going to work and would have to get back to me. She ended up emailing me 3 hours later saying that he would start working on the cake now (Thursday) 3 days before the event... which was what I was trying to avoid. Overal, my complaint is mainly with customer service. I feel they are not accommodating or very friendly at all. To no surprise, the simple cake looked super sloppy and amateur In comparison to the last cake, it almost seemed intentional since they were obviously frustrated With me. Cake tasted ok... that's why they get 2 stars. That will be the last time I do business with them. You can order a Beaverton Bakery cake for less money, better tasting and amazing service.

I call one afternoon needing a cake for that evening. Talked to Rob himself who was so helpful. I was expecting a a two layer basic chocolate cake. I got a gorgeous four layer chocolate cake with wonderful chocolate buttercream frosting with glitter. With my future daughter-in-laws name spelled correctly. It was decorated beautifully. When she saw it she cried. And it was delicious. It was honestly the best chocolate. It about killed us. Lol. Definitely going back! Thank you!

When our venue changed, and even our date of our wedding they were so accommodating I was so happy they could still create our cake! The staff person was not friendly. I told him this was my first visit. No welcoming greeting. I told him I was getting several donuts for my office. He packed 2 donuts each into little bags. (Squashed with the icing gone.) He gave me 4 little bags with nothing to carry them in. None of these is a deal breaker, but also no reason to ever go back.

The cake was delicious as well as the cupcakes and cake pops. Although the coloring on the cake pops began to smear and drip due to them being very cold and it being warm that day, overall everyone raved on all 3 flavors, southern red velvet with Bavarian cream filling cake with salted caramel butter cream frosting, carrot cake and chocolate cake pops as well as vanilla bean cupcakes. Magnificent baking!

So far I've tried their pretzels, donuts, cookies and eclairs. Everything has been awesome, but the eclair tasted like it might have been sitting in the case a little too long. Honest mistake! I Iove their little Forest Grove Farmers Market stand too and I will definitely be back!
