AMAZING!!! All GF, DAIRY FREE AND VEGAN OPTIONS!!! Was a great place to stop and grab breakfast. We bought breakfast for four people and it didn't break the bank ;). This places has amazing GF cake. Staff are super friendly and the pastries are outstanding. Some of my favorite are any of the cakes, and the Lemon Poppyseed Pound Cake. This place shouldn’t be a detour, it should be the main attraction! I recommend to everyone, gluten or not.

Absolutely one of the best gluten-free bakeries I've ever been to, anywhere. The staff is extremely aware of potential allergy issues, and very helpful and welcoming. Gluten-free baked goods are often overly sweet, but this bakery's products have just the right amount of sweetness and fluffiness. The cinnamon bun is amazing, light and fluffy with perfect gooey icing. The donuts are so great, especially the cinnamon sugar ones. The coffee's great too.

I have enjoyed their products that I have purchased from New Seasons, so I was excited to see the shop in the area where I go to train. I stopped in today and ordered some things to go for friends and I decided to have breakfast since I saw quiches and coffee. It was so tasty! All of the cupcakes, donuts, scones, and cakes are so pretty, and I know they taste amazing! Being gluten free is not not a sad thing here.

I went to buy a birthday cake for myself, it was amazing! It was not a special order or anything, I called to see if they had anything on hand. As I always for some reason forget its my birthday and have to scramble at the last minute. I have tried other bakeries but this place is the best at cakes. The frosting was delicious, and not too much of it just the right amount! I got the vanilla cake with chocolate ganache and carmel buttercream. It was amazing!

Wonderful experience. I've tried almost everything and every time it's amazing. My favorite is the chocolate donuts and the cakes.

I’ve been having Gem treats for a few years now and they were the first bakery I thought of when I needed to get my wedding cake. They had wonderful flavors to choose from and everyone loved the cake. It was beautifully decorated and more importantly tasted AMAZING. Hannah helped make the process of choosing flavors and decorations smooth and stress free. They delivered to our venue right on time and were always responsive if I had any questions during the quick process! I’m the only one that is GF in my family but no one could tell it was a GF cake!! We broke the tradition of saving the top layer for our one year anniversary because it was too good not to eat! Can’t wait to come back soon and get more tasty treats!

One star for their terrible hours. What is it about GF bakeries that think they should only be open while everyone else is at work? This place closes at 3 pm on weekdays.... how am I supposed to be able to come in if they open after I get to work and close two hours before I leave the office?

This place was great! The gluten free options they have are amazing! It’s moist and as close to tasting like non gluten free options but better. The chocolate donut was killer. I recommend anyone at least buy one when you come in. I had the Broccoli and cheese quiche. And it was amazing! They have a changing table for infants in the bathroom. Small sized may fit like 35 people max. Customer service was a bit slow but worth it.

The pie was delicious, however not available on the menu as the website stated. I made special trips to the bakery twice and was turned down for pie both times. When I called to order one for the following evening, I was told it wasn't possible to make a pie in 36 hours. I will find a new gluten free bakery that represents their products and availability more accurately.

My go-to for gluten-free baked goods of all varieties. I also love that they sell their pie crust separately if you want to make a pie with your own filling. Be sure to try their coffee and teas - their mocha is a perfect balance of coffee and chocolate.

I've had their products from the market before but hadn't realized there was a bakery until my friend suggested meeting there today. I'm now glad I know. The food is great and the alternatives are vast. For people who are celiac and/or suffer from multiple food allergies, like me, it's great. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and on top of things, so your drinks and food arrive with little wait, and the atmosphere is friendly, warm, and light. Also, the tart, which is their vegan form of quiche, is phenomenal. I have so many food allergies that I'm limited even in a place such as GEM on top of being celiac, so I haven' t had anything like quiche in over a decade, maybe two, and this was as good as anything I can remember. If Portland weren't already bulging at the seams, I'd import vegan friends here just so they could have this. :)

We ordered a cake for my daughter's sixth birthday. There were four of us in the room at the time we placed the order. We specifically asked them to add two different layers of cake with two separate flavors- banana and vanilla. The first thing my daughter asked me when she bit into the cake was "where was the banana?" The cake looked beautiful but there was no banana in the cake. When we spoke with Ann she was adamant that she wasnt wrong, is never wrong and she remembers "every order." As a mother who has been ordering cakes for my daughter for six years now I also remember every order and I know for a fact that this one was wrong. I will never visit this shop again due to their terrible customer service.

Offer GF, GF no dairy, and vegan GF. Came here with my family (all are gluten intolerant) and had an amazing experience! The pastries are balanced and not overly sweet. The textures are not that of typical GF items, and have the flavors better than if it was made from flour. Overall, I would recommend and revisit in the (near) future.

Beautiful, light and spacious interioir with such tempting gluten free options. This place independently tests their ingredients for gluten. Most bakeries don't. As a celiac I was go grateful to get soft pretzels and donuts that were safe for me to eat, and tasty to boot!

I had a silly theme party planned and needed a "goth" cake and they came through in a big way. Beautiful decorations, and everyone could eat it it - no gluten, no dairy, no nuts, and vegan. Not really sure what it was made out of but it was very tasty. Great experience, we will order from them for future events.
