I absolutely loved the cake I got from this bakery!!!! My daughter's 7 bday party had the "Teen Titans Go" theme. It was very difficult to find a bakery who could make this cake with everything we wanted but The Suisse Shop out did every expectation we had about this cake! We got the French vanilla flavor icing and it was surprisingly great! I still get questions from parents about the cake and the party was in 11/2015! I will definitely go back to them for my cakes!!

Their cakes are delicious. That said, don't expect them to get anything else right. My son's 1st birthday smash cake was put in too short of a box and ruined on the drive home--the lid took the entire top off (with decorations and his name) when I opened it. I ended up having to take it to a bakery closer to my home to have it fixed an hour before the party. They also don't ask clarifying questions after you fill out the order form with decorating instructions, so be prepared for them to misconstrue every possible instruction in the most asinine way you could imagine, even if you provide a photo for reference. Customer service is also lacking: They nearly sent me out of the shop without a box for the two tiered cake I purchased, stating it was their policy not to provide boxes for them--no one mentioned this when I placed the order. (In fact, it was like pulling teeth to get any details about ordering, etc., from the staff. They acted as if I should already know all of their policies.) I contacted them to explain my disappointment and was offered a "sorry/not sorry" explanation and a free, plain 8" cake from their display case. This was insufficient to convince me that they cared about my satisfaction, or to make me want to give them my business again. In all, my experience with Suisse Shop was very disappointing. It was the most frustration I've ever had with a bakery--despite paying $130 for a fairly simple cake.

This place is amazing. The staff is also. I messed up my dates with my order and came a day early. The manager (Lisa; who is so sweet) completed my order right on the spot for me so my daughter could have the cupcakes for her birthday at school. Not only did I have a great experience here but the cake and cupcakes were OUTSTANDING looking and tasting.

By far the best cake in Ohio. Suisse Shop did our wedding cake and not only was it beautiful, it was delicious. Our wedding guests raved about the cake and said it's the best cake they've had. They have many flavors and varieties to choose from. They also did beautiful custom cupcakes for a wedding shower that were a huge hit. Their cupcakes are phenomenal and my husband and I always look forward to stopping in when we're in the area.

I shop at the Polaris mall occasionally and stop by this bakery for some dessert. Their cakes are to die for, especially the silk & satin cake. Its a piece of heaven. It has chocolate cake, chocolate cheesecake, white chocolate mousse, and whipped cream. I can't get enough. They maintain very high quality. I chatted with the girl in the front and during the conversation I learnt why they are so good. They use natural ingredients, don't use any preservatives, bake from scratch, and use several imported European ingredients. I highly recommend this place.

It all started with a cupcake from my boss......and I was hooked. The frosting is light and very unique. I've never had icing like it before. It is marvelous!!! The cakes (and I've tried them all) have great flavor. My kids and I have also tried NUMEROUS cookies, brownie, whoopie pies, etc. Never had a complaint. This is my go to spot for sweets, and after you try it, it will be yours as well.

The Suisse shop provided our wedding with incredible cake and desserts! We got a small cake and a couple different desserts for our dessert table, and everything was unbelievably delicious! Our cake didn't last long once word got out about how good it was, and the desserts didn't last much longer, even though we got more than enough for everyone! They were also super easy to work with, and provided exactly what we wanted. We had to handle transportation ourselves because the cost to get everything delivered all the way out to Granville was going to be about as much as the cake cost, but we managed okay and didn't have any major mishaps. Thanks to the Suisse Shop for the great experience, our guests couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was :)

I think that the people running this establishment are incredibly rude. I called and asked if we could come in to discuss a baby shower order, and was told to come on in. I got to the establishment and there were no cupcakes in the display case. They had three cupcakes there, and they made me pay for them just to eat them. I think I would rather lick my shoe than try another one of their cupcakes. I left after paying nine dollars for three cupcakes, none of which were the ones I requested, and I can confirm that they were about as tasty as sand. Customer service goes along way, and they could use some help with that. Not sure how this has a 4.8 star rating ! If you’re in the area, skip this place and go across the way to Gigi‘s cupcakes. They know how to treat a customer, and their food is actually edible… In fact, quite delicious !

I ordered 2 sheet cakes for my grandmothers' 100th birthday, and I must say that your cakes were the hit of the party (besides my grandma of course). :o) Everyone @ the party commented on how tasteful and moist the cakes were. I love the cut out cookies but recently went there to pick up cookies for a get together and 4 of the cookies were definitely old dry and not worth the 3.00 dollar price tag. The chocolate sour cream cookie with icing was so dry and crumbly. Also the peanut butter kiss cookie fell apart too crumbly not a moist chewy cookie. Very disappointing and willl think twice before buying the other cookies.

I have been using the Suisse Shop since the late 1970's when it was on Busch Boulevard. It was primarily a bakery that supplied local restaurants with breads and fabulous baked goods. At that time it opened retail for special orders, and three days a week so the public could shop there on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Since I don't like to bake but I love to entertain, having dinner parties, I got into the habit of letting the Suisse Shop do the baking! The cakes and cookies there are amazing! My all time favorite is the Suisse Almond torte with raspberry filling and heavenly buttercream icing. But for a chocolate fix, both the Silk and Satin or the Midnight Dream are to die for! Worth all of the calories! The macaroons are the most delicious cookie I've ever tasted! I have used the Suisse Almond cake for baby and bridal showers and a wedding reception for our son and his wife. Many of the guests raved about the cake, ask me where I got it! I frequently recommend the Suisse Shop Bakery to brides as I am the owner of a business which specializes in cleaning and preserving wedding gowns and have opportunities to talk with brides before they have have made the decision on a cake baker. I tell them they can't go wrong with it...that they simply must do a cake tasting there! The Suisse Shop is a, in my opinion, the best bakery in all of central Ohio!

I just left here. I sent an email earlier in the week about a cake for my daughter's party. I decided to go in and try to have a face to face consultation. When I get to the shop, which is not close to my home, I am told that I cannot talk to anyone about a cake today. The lady at the front did not seem like she wanted to help and told me that someone would get back to me through email. I would not have had a problem waiting for a few moments to speak with someone but I guess that wasn't an option. First impressions are everything. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

The Suisse Shop did it again! They made such a beautiful cake at my sister's wedding about a year ago, and hit it out of the park again for my wedding! I can't thank them enough for the entire process. The cake tasting was fun and it was very good. It was hard to choose the different flavors for each layer of our wedding cake. If you want a cake that is so delicious and the design is beautiful, then you need to go to The Suisse Shop. Krista is the one who helped us throughout the process, and she is very knowledgeable at what she does. She helped us determine how many layers would be perfect for the amount of people we were expecting. I continue to get asked where I ordered my cake from, and without hesitation I tell them and highly recommend they go there when they are in town. Also, I can't wait for our 1 year anniversary cake! We had a wonderful experience working with the Suisse Shop (specifically Lisa) for our wedding. We were able to try many different cake options during a tasting, and Lisa was extremely helpful at working with us regarding the design and color of the cake. We had 8 different cake tastings and found the Suisse shop to be our favorite tasting cake, as well as our favorite cake decorator. I wanted simple horizontal, perfectly symmetrical lines for our wedding cake, and the Suisse shop has a tool used to make sure everything is perfect and clean looking. I also love that they give you a free anniversary cake on your one year anniversary, so we didn't have to freeze a top tier of our cake and eat old, frozen cake in a year. Our guests raved of the taste of our wedding cake, and it looked flawless! They decorated our cake with our wedding flowers and it was perfect. We would highly recommend using the Suisse shop for any occasion, and look forward to going back in the future for our cake needs.

The best bakery in Columbus in my opinion! Cupcakes, birthday cakes, anything they make is amazing. I am obsessed with the white chocolate empress cake and when I serve it at a party everyone is so impressed with how beautiful and delicious the cake is. It's not cheap, but with cakes I think you get what you pay for. It is totally worth every penny.

Contracted for my daughters wedding cake. Very good cake, exceptionally high priced. Be careful regarding the number of people they 'claim' their cakes will serve. We bought a cake for 225 people and had to provide slices only 1/4" wide in order to serve everyone at the wedding. There are much better values out there. Shop around. Overall, service and quality of cake was good, the value for the dollar was poor.

By far the best bakery I've been to. The cinnamon rolls are absolutely incredible. I ordered the white chocolate empress cake for an office party the other day, and WOW!!!! The girl who helped me, told me it was her favorite so I went with it. It was a HUGE hit! Super moist white chocolate cake, a raspberry filling, and a white chocolate truffle icing. not only are the treats delicious, the customer service is great! The ladies are so helpful, and patient (I'm not very good at making decisions... especially when it comes to sugar.) I will most definitely be getting all my sweet treats from the Suisse Shop from now on and would recommend it to anyone!

The wedding cake was perfect we loved it. I hate sweets especially cake but I loved that cake it was great. The detail was dead on to the pictures we gave them to go off of. Delivery was on time and they are very good at recommendations to your cake like we had yellow cake with French buttercream which is more off white in color so they recommended us using a white dye to make the cake look white to match our design they know their stuff and we're amazing.

I'm not one to take the time to write reviews, but this place is so great I had to. It was my first time here, so i was pretty indecisive as to what I wanted. The staff were all super friendly and after chatting with me a bit they recommended I try the Zebra Cake, and OMG. It was literally the best dessert I have ever had. I was actually moaning out loud- it was one of those moments when you take the last bite and you are actually sad because its gone! The Suisse Shop is one of my favorite bakeries in Columbus! Nothing beats your french almond and raspberry… all it does is set up for disappointment when I get french almond somewhere else! The lemon was a close second as well! People were definitely swooning over the chocolate and peanut butter! I am pretty sure people asked for seconds and I saw some people finishing off any evidence of crumbs left behind on strangers plates! Besides the cake tasting wonderful, it looked beautiful and I appreciate you calling and double, triple checking the colors and details of the cake! We were so happy with the results! Our wedding cake was absolutely fabulous! Not only was it gorgeous, but also delicious. Absolutely everyone we talked to said they loved it. We really appreciated the guidance your staff offered when it came to choosing sizes and flavors. You really know your stuff and take the role of leaders guiding your clients through the process in a way that invited us to make informed and creative choices. The process was simple and seamless without a lot of excess back and forth as far as pick up and delivery times.

She suggested details for my cake and made it better than I had envisioned. She made the rings that are replicas of our wedding rings. Stunning work! They are one of the best cake bakery I have used. I have used them several times for birthday cakes and other occasion cakes for the past dozen years. They are yet to disappoint. I just ordered a birthday cake a the last minute. The manager spoke with me about my needs and they were able to help me very efficiently. We needed a Maleficent design and on such short notice they were able to get me a picture done on the cake. Pick up was a snap. And delicious. Try the carrot cake too.

The cupcakes were delicious! All my guests loved the cupcakes too! They were everything we hoped and so much more. Even more, they were definitely a part in making our wedding a memorable event. All of their staff was very kind and accommodating. If there was any trouble or issues, I did not notice. The cupcakes were delivered on time, along with the cupcake stand and set up in a timely manner. I know that the morning of my wedding, we realized that no one had dropped off the flowers to decorate our 6 inch round. My cousin and their staff ended up solving the problem and taking care of everything. Overall, we had a great experience working with Suisse Shop and definitely plan on using their services again in the future.

I'm not a huge cake fan but I struggled to choose the flavors for our cake because they were ALL delicious. We ended choosing a 5-tier cake with 3 flavors (try the raspberry marmalade!!!!!) and we couldn't have chosen any better. The entire cake was GONE. We had to-go boxes (consider doing it, you do not want this cake going to waste) and I saw people piling up their boxes to take cake home. Weeks after and people are still asking me about the cake and where it came from. With it being so close, we will be forever clients! With my now husband we always used to get cupcakes from The Suisse Shop because we absolutely love everything they have. So when we got engaged we were 100% sure that our cake had to be from there. We couldn't be more right, the cake was delicious as we knew it would be and it was absolutely beautiful. We had half of the pieces as regular chocolate with cream cheese frosting and half as white chocolate with white chocolate frosting. Everyone loved the cake and the decoration, I brought flowers the day before and they did a perfect work. What is best, even though we froze some cake because I was not able to eat it at the reception and we left for our honeymoon the next day, we didn't had to because we'll get also a small cake for our 1 year anniversary. If you like chocolate, the Suisse Shop has an amazing cake that you must try. It's called the Midnight Dream. It is my all-time favorite cake! Two layers of chocolate cake, filled with a silky chocolate mousse, and covered in chocolate ganache. They decorate it with some white chocolate moons and stars. Pure deliciousness!! I have found that these cakes are very popular and are not always stocked in their retail case. However, if I call a few days ahead, they have it ready & waiting for me, which I love!

We got the cake from Suisse Shop for my son's birthday recently. We had a small gathering of close family and friends for his birthday. Everyone loved the cake. In the past when we got themed cakes from big box retail stores, usually we had a tough time to finish the cake - no one would want second servings and most wouldn't even finish their first serving. But the Italian Cassata from Suisse bakery was consumed completely without any wastage. The common compliment was that it was smooth and flavorful. The only complaint we had was that not everyone got a second serving - we ran out of cake. Lesson learnt: get a 1/2 sheet next time instead of 1/4 sheet. :) I would highly recommend this bakery for their excellent cakes and wonderful service.

We have nothing but positive things to say! Most people said it was the best wedding cake they ever had. We only had about 3 pieces left of our wedding cake and a couple cupcakes. Everything else was gone! We had enough for 150 people and had about 100 guests so that should say something. We ate everything the next day for breakfast. I think you guys are worth every penny.

It was stunning and the buttercream color was perfect.... we had a mixture of flavors and fillings and SO many of guests said it was incredible. They declined to make rainbow layers, but I didn't want to eat food coloring anyway. Limited variety of cupcakes, cookies, and sweets for sale in the display. WOW! I may be biased because I have a sweet tooth, but our cake was amazing! The number one compliment we received after the wedding was how awesome the cake was. We had around 200 people and she helped us decide what size cake we should get. The tasting process was fun and I could tell she’s done it many times. She had her most popular cake flavors on a plate and she would let us try the flavor plain. Then she would add various buttercream frostings. After trying those combinations, she would then add different fillings to try. It was hard to decide, everything tasted wonderful! We went with a 4 tier cake and each tier was a different flavor. We had a yellow cake with a raspberry filling and French buttercream frosting, a chocolate cake with chocolate buttercream, a lemon cake with a strawberry filling and lemon buttercream, and an almond cake with a raspberry filling and French buttercream. I showed her a few photos from my Pinterest in terms of design, and she executed it perfectly. We were able to rent a cake stand from her as well. The pricing fell perfectly in our budget too, I was very pleased. We loved the Suisse Shop SO much that we also ordered our rehearsal dinner cake from there as well. Overall, a very wonderful experience, super easy to work with, and it looked/tasted AMAZING!

I wrote a review roughly 7 months ago stating that I was sadly going on a "hiatus" from the Suisse Shop, not because of their product but because of their customer service. So I am currently back. (It helps that I am pregnant and love their treats.) Well with this current pregnancy I have been quite ill and spending much of the day in bed. My husband was supposed to make sugar cookies for my daughter's classroom Halloween party and was called into work. Not sure what to do, he called the Suisse Shop and they offered to donate the cookies given the circumstances. So they did. They gave us 18 circle yellow, white, and orange frosted sugar cookies, some of which had Boo! written on them. As always the cookies were delicious. We told them that we would be more than happy to write a review for them for their generosity. I also had intentions of having the children make them a giant pumpkin thank you card and was going to include a picture of the children in their costumes enjoying their cookies. But again, for all the taste and deliciousness that their product brings, they really need to hire a costumer service savvy person. I say this because early on Halloween morning before I had a chance to even deliver the cookies to the classroom I had gotten a call asking where their review was. Then (again sick pregnant woman) running between my two older kids parties I get another message asking where the review was. I had every intention of writing a beautiful review, and believe me when I say this review is just getting up now because I was not sure how to phrase things and I needed to cool off a little bit. So now after much thought, I will be more than happy to say that they have a great quality product, which is made very well, however their costumer service still leaves you with a poor taste in your mouth. Who wants that from their bakery?

I've been going to The Suisse Shop for years and knew when I got married they had to do my wedding cake. Their cake is amazing (the only cake I like) and they did a beautiful job with our wedding cake! We got numerous compliments on the taste and appearance of our cake. They were very professional to work with and the cake tasting was so much fun getting to try different cakes and figure out what we wanted. They made it just how we wanted it. My wife and I enjoyed the unique texture of the buttercream and the fact that they are lighter than they seem. The service there was also exceptional!
