Enjoyed our visit with my husband who’s not a big fan of sweets but loved the carrot cake. Wonderful staff and delicious breakfast quiche. I had the best Carrot Cake I have ever tasted delicious, I purchased a piece at a booth at Maplewood Christmas Expo at Summit County Fair grounds . It was $8.00 and worth it! premium ingredients. All of my future cakes are going to be ordered by Sweet Mary’s Bakery

Completely disappointed in my experience. When I received my cake it was rock solid from the inside out. I normally go to West Side bakery but wanted to try something new. Cake was flavorless and icing tasted old. I feel like Acme or Giant Eagle could’ve done a better job, I’m just super upset because this cake was for a big birthday but it was just a big let down.

This place has wonderful, high quality baked goods and from-scratch breakfast and lunch specials. I've never been disappointed with purchases from the shop or from the pop-up market days in Highland Square. However, I had a strange experience with a special order inquiry (for a birthday party) I placed online. I was bummed, but I will still frequent the shop for lunches and to-go goodies.

Sandwiches kinda dry but the bacon was alright. They had nasty soda. Their cookies and cake are good. The staff seemed to be annoyed if I asked a question.

I was planning a beach wedding in NC but the hurricane changed those plans. We came home to OH to plan an entirely new wedding in just three days. Sweet Mary's was able to put together a desert bar for 110 guests and our cut cake with just a couple days notice. Everything was beautiful and delicious.

The selection wasn't huge, but I showed up at closing and they were suprisingly friendly and answered all my many questions. In the end, my indecisiveness cost me fifty bucks, which is normal for me when pastry and cookies are involved, and should be expected at a high quality specialty shop such a Sweet Mary's. It was worth it... The salted caramel macarons we're chewy and amazing and the pecan pie was the best we've ever had. If I had any gripe, it would be the selection size, and again, I came late, but the small counter didn't have the space for much more. The quality over quantity adage certainly held true though. Save yourself a hassle and park in the water dept. parking deck.

Tiramisu is to die for. The quiche is pure and utter perfection. So creamy silky its smoother than velvet!!! And the unlimited delicious coffee refills while in the shop...pure heaven!

Had these at a meeting at work this morning. frosting was standard sugar/shortening, Cake was extremely dry and tasted like freezer burn. Not sure if these were supposed to be dairy or gluten free, but something was very off. They were pretty, though; colors of our new corporate logo.

I went to pick up a cheesecake my daughter ordered. Since I had some time, I ordered the Chocolate Creme Pie Parfait and it was excellent!! Very yummy!! Parking was easy in the garage next door.

I am leaving a review here because I am sure they will not post it on their website. We ordered our wedding cake here and although it was very pretty we were VERY DISAPPOINTED. When we ordered the cake they asked us what time we wanted to pick it up on our special day, a time was chosen and agreed upon but when we arrived at the scheduled pick up time the cake was NOT DONE and we had to wait an extra 45 minutes for them to complete it!!! For any of you who are married or understand how tight a wedding day timeline is, this is totally unacceptable. It through off our whole timeline and ended up costing us valuable time on our big day. The cake was also incredibly dry! Like, the cake itself was made too far ahead of time and had either been frozen or sat for too long before being used for our cake. The icing was yummy but overall the cake was not good and the 45 minute time discrepancy a total disaster. Very sad.

A taste of home... Everything here is cooked fresh, daily. No additives. Nothing artificial. Just straight up delicious baked goods that your mom might have made. And the service compliments the quality! I was stuck in the rain across the street and called the bakery to see if anyone would come out and bring me a menu. They brought the menu, took my card, made the payment and brought the cinnamon roll back to me… All with a fantastic smile and wonderful attitude. This is a regular stop for me, now. It’s tiny, but you can eat in enjoy the ambiance of Akron “back then”.

This place is great! My son needs gluten free food. I ordered his birthday cake here, and was possibly the single most delicious chocolate cake I've ever had in my life. All the pastries are great. I highly recommend the pecan roll. My daughter lives the macarons.

Have always loved all the baked goods I have tried. Very nice, small place. If there is a line service is slow. They offer breakfast foods which the biscuits and gravy are amazing but they don't have servers so it makes it kinda awkward.

A foodie's heaven. Mary delivers brilliant, unique & appealing made from scratch goods. She is sure to blow your mind and taste buds! I go crazy for her earl gray & matcha macarons, the hazelnut chocolate scone & her newest March "green" creation: lemon matcha cheesecake. Her desserts are works of art that you would expect from a bakery in New York, yet here we are in downtown Akron savoring mind-blowing dessert and savory goods (especially those made with Not Yo' Daddy's Mexican Hot Sauce!)
