The only bakery in central Columbus that makes their cream horn shells still from scratch. If you have never tried one, you should! Either call ahead or get their early to get one. They go fast and once their gone, their gone until the next day. The cakes are FANTASTIC! Their cost and taste can not be beat by others. Not only are the items worth coming for; the staff is too!

Speaking specifically about their donuts, Schneider's is easily in the top five of all donut shops in the columbus area, and a mighty contender for the #1 spot. How long they have been around, the number of people not from Westerville that know about them, and the long line out the door from 1-2am are all clear testament to that fact. They are a staple of Uptown Westerville and if you like donuts even a little bit, their fresh donuts will turn you into a little kid wanting to eat as many as will fit in your face before you get sick. Go get an apple fritter, chocolate eclaire, cinnamon swirl, or even just a good 'ol glazed donut. You won't be disappointed.

A retired pro basketball player bought this shop. He kept the old time recipes and the knowledgeable staff who know how to make them and keep them fresh. This is the home of the traditional stick donut, but they also have delicious cinnamon rolls. Park on the side street and walk down the block.

They did a fantastic job with our gender reveal cake. It was a total surprise for everyone except the bakery and the doctor. My OB emailed them directly so that no one else had to know. In the numerous phone calls between myself and the bakery I didn’t have a clue what we were having. They also did a great job in helping us trick my brother who thought he was going to get to find out first by picking up the cake.

A REAL bakery! Not one of those fake things that is in the grocery store. Baked items from scratch using recipes. This is a neighborhood bakery where you can see multi generational families coming to buy morning treats (amazing doughnuts!) or any other wonderful product that they make. Their cream horns are fantastic. As if this wasn't enough...their staff is friendly and always serve with a smile. Worth the trip but get there early!

I have been a long time customer of Schneider's bakery being that I am in Westerville everyday of the week but I have to say that my most recent experience was awful. I walked in the door and was not greeting with a "hello" or "how are you" just simply a blank stare. When I said hello to the young girl working behind the counter she replied with "what do you want". I ordered 3 dozen assorted donuts and as she was placing the donuts into the box I tried to make light conversation which was answered with a snappy, one word response each time. I absolutely understand that everyone has a bad day every now and then, but that is no way to treat a loyal customer who spent 27 dollars on donuts. As I left I told her to have a wonderful day which she chose to ignore. I tried to handle the situation by calling the manager who was not much nicer than the original employee and made it very clear to me that my opinion was irrelevant and that he didn't see any need for my call. I have been raised by successful business owners and have been an employee for many many years and it just truly is not hard to be kind to people (especially paying customers). Unfortunately, This has left a bad taste in my mouth and do not for see myself returning.

Some of the best donuts in Columbus, but of course, anyone who goes to or works at Otterbein already knows this. Place isn't much to look at, a true "hole in the wall", and is often quite crowded, but that's easy enough to overcome with a solid product, which they deliver. Not enough to reduce the star rating, but they just recently started taking credit cards (yes, really, in 2017) but the point-of-sale system doesn't offer adding a tip. Still have to do that the old fashioned way with cold, hard cash.

Schneider’s bakery did my sisters gender reveal cakes for Saturday November 3rd & it was wonderful! They were so great about my grandmothers trickery (which was great!) we couldn’t trust my brother to pick up the cake & not peak. Bought a bag of wheat rolls and basically a dozen assorted donuts/pastries. The filled croissants with blueberry and strawberry were excellent. Several of the others have been good too, can't really describe some of them correctly because I kind of just told them to give me a mix. Busy with the holidays I'm assuming (It was pretty tight in there for a minute), but so happy I came here . (your downtown area is very nice)

But my family really loves this place and I traveled from Florida 2 North Carolina to Ohio to get that to go back to North Carolina and then also go back to Florida with Schneider's Bakery. Got my mother's craving, and then I thought as Schneider's for Barry pi and x-tra Donuts. Banana and cinnamon sticks are really good also. And everybody at the counter that works there is so sweet.

Our favorite nearby place to grab donuts! Go as early as you can! Later in the mornings, especially on Saturday, pickings can get slim. I love their "Buckeye" peanut butter cream filled donuts, and pretty much any of their cake donuts...but they're all delicious, really. We've also ordered cakes and cupcakes for birthday celebrations, and their pricing was fair, the cakes looked amazing, and most importantly, they were yummy.

No gimmicks here just great donuts. Custard filled are the best in town, with seasonal greats at Halloween (pumpkin) and valentines day (cherry). This is everything a donut shop should be and is a contender for the best donuts in Columbus. Good yeast and cake donuts, something not every shop can do. Pro tip get there early some of the best flavors are gone by 9:00 AM. You can call in orders ahead of time.

Update: if you message with concerns about Schneider's, they will be snarky sassy and rude to you with no attempt to fix or apologize for their issue. Evidently the place is run by prepubescent highschool kids. I usually have no concerns with Schneider's. In the morning I poke my head in and as for a donut without coming in because I'm walking my dog. They always say it's fine, but I got ignored after three attempts today! It's like they pretended I didn't exist. So I will NOT be back for a morning donut anymore. If you're looking for good customer service, don't come here.
