Great homemade food, reasonable prices.
When in Amish country... eat a burger?? But that what we do! We drive an hour just to eat here. Love it. Food is so good.
This was our 3rd visit to Olde World Bakery. I felt that some of service paled in comparison to previous visits, but the food is always delicious and our waitress was delightful.
I love the cinnamon roll.
Food is great. Hope they keep working to improve the quality of service.
It's a change from the usual Amish fare in the region. Salads, burgers, wraps, baked goods and coffee. It's all ok. Nothing extraordinary but something different to eat. I got the roast beef sandwich and my wife got the peanut butter and jelly burger. The house made chips were great and the onion rings were in a funnel cake type batter.
Large portions, very fresh product. Delicious!
Great food!! They their awesome quesadillas!!!! U won't b sorry, we always share their large ones!!! Yummy! It's very filled. They were very busy the waiter couldn't keep up. Our drinks needed filled up but we understood!! Their fries r like fair fries.
Great food and awesome service
Wow, wow, wow. This is a wonderful place to eat and delight in savory food. The waitress was great, the food hot and good, and the bakery was to die for.
Amazing service and amazing food. Get a side salad, very fresh!
Just had the best blueberry muffin EVER!The cofee is superb ! The place is brilliant and the staff is just lovely! I don't live in the area but will make a point to stop here every time I'm in town!
No good
Perfect little restaurant. .great food, great portions, great staff.
One of our favorite places to eat.
If you have lots of time to wait for food, this place is delicious. I love the sweet maple dipping they gave me with my sweet potato fries. The chicken salad sandwich was delicious also!
Amazing food and great deserts! Friendly staff!
Great place and great food! Onion rings are insane good! Ask for Nate's Sauce
Great food . Amust if in the area.
Great food!
Chicken quesadilla was huge & the chicken was well seasoned. The staff was friendly. Only downside: the pecan bars were dry. Only Crust & pecans; needed a thick Carmel base to make them better.
My husband and I had the best breakfast this morning at Olde World Bakery & Bistro in Berlin. I had the omelet and my husband had the Hot Mess. There are a variety of veggies, cheeses and meats you can put in the omelet and it comes with toast - I had the cranberry walnut and it was delicious...so much so that I bought a loaf to take home (they make it right there at the bakery). The Hot Mess was also delicious and huge. We also had the best server Lauren - she was very attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back!
This was our first time to the Olde World Bistro-Berlin but it won't be the last. We took a late afternoon break for coffee and dessert and we definately picked the right place. We both ordered a maple iced cinnamon roll, they are served slightly warm and absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. We live over an hour drive from Berlin but we will make a special trip just to eat at the Olde World Bistro. Next time we plan to have lunch (and dessert) at this quaint little restaurant.
WORST FOOD EVER!!
Food was cold, and meat was tough on cheeseburger and fish sandwich. Not a lot of flavor.
I got sick within a couple hours because of the food.
Great food, great service
This place was excellent! The wait was longer than we expected but it was worth it. You'll have the best ranch dressing you've ever tasted. The waitress was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcome.
We got the bread and oil appetizer and the breads served were plentiful, but very dense and dry and thickly sliced. They seemed homemade, but not in a good way. The broccoli soup was cool, and had a mediocre flavor. My friend's salad was large and delicious. Service was reasonably fast and friendly. There was plenty of parking.
I had a delicious cup of chicken rice soup and a generously-portioned half salad, the farmers wife. The bread platter was wonderful, three varieties of bread and enough pieces to share even if there had been more than the two of us.
Not a large selection of baked goods. Very hard to get out of because of traffic. Thought it was a waste of our time for the bakery. Your reply said your not a bakery. Well then change your sign which says "Old World Bakery" with bistro in small print so people won't stop there for baked items and waste their time.
Great place for breakfast, the Omelettes are the best I've ever had.
A good little place to grab a quick lite bight.
This is a great place. The food is a little pricey but worth it. The service is great. We have been there multiple times and never had a bad experience.
Delicious made from scratch food!
Great food
Food was amazing, service was top notch! The onion rings are fresh and the best I’ve ever had! The Ruben was so good, and the drinks were delicious. I recommend this place for a sweet snack or dinner. Love the atmosphere and the service!!
Food is great! Service is mediocre. (I'm sure it depends on the server. A better server would = an amazing dining experience). A bit annoying that it wasn't shared with us before we were sat to dine in. We originally came in for just a pastry and coffee. We decided to dine in, but take the pastry to go. The server charged more for the pastry, about 50 cents more even though we didn't eat it there. I'd skip dining in if you're just grabbing a pastry and coffee/tea. Just order at the counter and sit outside or take it to go. I also ordered one slice of French toast. And the server ordered and brought a full order and of course charged the full price. I didn't want to deal with the hassle of getting the order fixed and just boxed the additional slices. More than I wanted to eat and more than I wanted to pay. I ended up throwing out the additional pieces. Rewarmed French toast was underwhelming. Yes, I did let the server know. All she did was offer a half hearted apology.
Great dining experience. The service here is very good. Food is unique and offers flavors from around the globe. If you choose to dine in, expect an intimate setting. The dining area is not large, so waiting a bit should be expected. Their pastries and breads are truly top shelf. Worth a visit, especially if you're only in the area for a few days. Very popular spot for the locals.
Late breakfast food all good bakery a bit disappointing service was good but it was an off season day
SOOOOO good! I've come here several times & loved everything! Farmer's special salad is delicious. Lots of variety - and actually open for breakfast, a plus in Millersburg!
The food is top-notch. Way above any expectation I had. The price of the food is like eating in a fine restaurant. This not a cheap place to eat. The setting however is that if some run-down diner. The service was what you would expect at a run-down diner. However if you're hungry and you want good food and don't mind paying a lot and not having an ambience this is the place for you.
You will definitely need to try the Cobb Salad!
Great handpies and good coffee. Cute atmosphere and very friendly staff!
I've eaten here a couple of times now and can say with confidence that the food is consistently good. This place has an interesting atmosphere. If I had to guess I would say that the building started its life as something other than a restaurant. The bread here is great, and the sandwiches are yummy.
By the craft mall and Christmas store. One of the best meals, very large meals
Fresh food but service was really slow
Great BLT ever!! Friendly, fast service!
Very nice restaurant. Food portions were huge and well worth the money. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Food was served in a timely manner. Would go there again and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.
Very fresh and delicious
This is a place to avoid! Our party had the worst experience trying to get lunch here. To start, the restaurant needed to be shut down that day because the A/C was broken and since they had zero fans to provide any type of air movement in the place: the heat made the wait for our meal unbearable! Next, even though there were many empty tables (and it’s not a big place) our lunch took over 1.5 hrs from start to finish. Even with the service being sloth-inspiringly slow, unfortunately the actual meal was NOT worth the wait. Examples of what went wrong: a wrong sandwich was brought out for one guest, a second had their meal dropped to the floor (with no apology), extra dipping sauce had been requested for one meal at the start and wasn’t brought. The chicken fingers must have been scorched on the surface of the sun they were so dry; biting into them was hard but trying to cut them with the dull knife provided was impossible. The supposedly “fresh cut fries” were stale and room temperature, a serious letdown. The absolute worst for us was the server. He was rude, short tempered and lied to us about the billing process. When we requested to speak with the manager he denied they were present. One of our party requested the automatic gratuity be removed from their bill, the original cashier left and sent the server to question the guest. When they were told it was “against their policy” to remove it from the bill, the guest requested the manager be brought into the matter (we pointed out that it was illegal to not remove it), the server disappeared and returned a few minutes later to say that he wouldn’t budge. “Did we realize it was money coming out of HIS pocket” and he “didn’t see any problems with his service!”, we pointed out his bias and that the service was terrible and the food inedible. The guest again requested the manager to come to the register and the server flat out lied and said the manager had left—Despite the server having discussed the issue 30 seconds previously with the manager. When this was brought up the server fled back to the manager’s office and finally agreed to remove the gratuity. This was an unacceptable experience from start to finish.
I'll never go there again. I ordered a grilled cheese. Sandwich was cold and not even grilled. No one ever came back to the table to check on us or to bring our checks. When I told the woman at the checkout that my lunch was unacceptable, she had no response whatsoever, and still asked for the full amount. It was obvious that customer satisfaction was of no concern. We saw the table waiters spending enormous amounts of time making drinks instead of waiting tables. In addition, there weren't enough waiters to handle the crowd. This place is badly mismanaged.
Quaint little place just off the side of the road. The Farmer chicken club sandwhich was pretty good. Salad and side veggies with the hummus not so great. Hummus itself tho was tasty. The homemade chips were pretty good as well...except for the soggy ones. Definitely some hits and misses here. Pastries were amazing!

However, I love the comments and I enjoy training my team using the feedback from our website. Thank you all!
Fast service! This was the first time I had breakfast there and the food was great, and not super busy.
Delicious. Big portions
Ask for pita chips with soup. Almost done with soup before I got chips. Night before didn't get my coffee until almost done with meal. Overpriced.
The coffee use to be much better, and the cookies use to be bigger as well. The BLT in my opinion was small and I usually don’t expect big sandwiches. When we were waiting to checkout the guy behind the counter checked out two people in front of us then when it was our turn didn’t say anything like he’d be back or someone would be right with us he just left. Food took about 25 minutes and we placed a carry out. Just not as good as it’s been in the past.
Sugar cookies with cream cheese frosting! To die for
Great food, great service, great owners...just a lovely place :)
Food was great, a little pricey but worth it.
Great Food and don't forget to try the Home made potato chips their great.
Food was good, desserts are pricey. Gluten Free choices limited
It was a Saturday afternoon, not a lot of customers but a LOT of wait staff. Thought the waitress was rude UNTIL she realized I was the one paying the bill for the table. Food was good but it took over 1/2 hour. The waitress even brought out the food, set it on the counter so she could wait on another table. Only after she took their order did she deliver our food. She offered refills but never mentioned or asked about refills for those NOT drinking water. Deserts were sparse and expensive. One and done.
Excellent food and service
It was an good restaurant but not quite we imagined. Thought we were going to have old worlde bread like artesian breads, and were disappointed... Good place for tourists tho. Desserts are delicious looking but prices were sky high on them!
Food was very good but service is slow. Took forever to get waited on and even longer to get our food. I would go back since the food was good but know it may take a while.
Such nice people and our food was wonderful. No wait. They were very kind about us taking up a large table for awhile since we were meeting family we haven't seen for awhile. Thanks to all!
This place was a pleasant surprise and my family's favorite place to eat on our Amish country vacation. The food was delicious and the prices were good but the real treat was dessert!
I love the food at this place and everything I have tried was amazing. My husband and I went there last night because I had a gift card but I didn't realize they expire. The card didn't mention that so when I went to pay they said it was expired. So if you have gift cards use them soon. They told me they expire in 9 months . Mine had been a Christmas gift and was issued 10 months ago.
The food here is always amazing!!!
The peanut butter and jelly hamburger was phenomenal
Great food. Service.is a little slow but we'll worth the wait
Lovely food.
We are here on our girls trip! Chloe was absolutely the sweetest, gave good recommendations and the food we had was amazing. They use very good quality ingredients!!
They used to have a more extensive gf menu which is awesome for amish country but we left without eating last time, nothing I could eat on menu & prices seemed higher.
Fish sandwich, Farms choice chicken sandwich, and onion rings were phenomenal! Loved the food, atmosphere, and service!
The best place in Berlin!
This has been my favorite restaurant in the area so far. Prices are under $10 a dish, clean space, attentive service - definitely stop here. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which had mushrooms, bacon, fried egg, cheese on toast. Coffee was also awesome. My wife ordered a dish that was a breakfast sandwich that used 2 pancakes sprinkled with powdered sugar. I highly recommend this place if you are in the area.
Terrible customer service from owner/ operator Amanda Beachy She needs a couple customer service classes . Very disappointed.
Always great food - LOVE the grilled chicken wrap!
Quiet when we were here. Delicious spinach and artichoke dip. Mocha latte was good as well. Live in the area so it was nice to find a place not crowded with tourists.
Service is so slow. Waited to be seated for over 5 minutes and was never acknowledged so we left
Awesome place, food was great for the price, server was great and the atmosphere was good. Would go back if given the chance
Best cookies ever
Good Family owned place. Clean and pleasant. God food and Espresso.
Excellent service
Stopped in while out shopping, good food, nice atmosphere.
Great burgers, better pastries, real good coffee and friendly service!
Thursday for lunch and not busy. Waited over 30 minutes for a burger and a salad. No refills on drinks. Food was ok but over priced.
I love their pastry, cookies and other baked goods!
Our favorite restaurant in amish country
Great food, wonderful baked goods, friendly staff and great prices. We spoke with the owner and she is delightful. You won't regret it if you go. If you go at peak season there might be a wait but it's worth it.
Nice eatery
My husband and I ate here for dinner this evening (Wednesday 8/7/19) and I have to say this place is terrible. Our service was very slow and our waitress in particular was unfriendly, unhelpful, and apathetic. We asked for clarification on a menu item and she responded by telling us it was “basically what’s written right there”. We may be showing our ignorance by saying this but we didn’t know what “smothered Swiss steak” was. It turned out to be a hamburger steak with nasty breading, but our waitress described it as simply “a steak”. This menu item was meant to come with grilled toast as well, which we never received. This restaurant will also not allow substitutions on side salads or soup, even for an up-charge and our drinks were empty multiple times during the meal (there were only two other tables that our waitress was serving). I don’t like to leave a bad review but this has been the worst dining experience we’ve had in a long time. Avoid this restaurant.
Did not receive half of our food. Finally went to register for the bill. They were charging for entire order so took half of it to go. No apology.
Great food, gluten free options excellent.
Great small restaurant with sandwiches, soups, burgers, desserts, coffee, and a bakery.
Great soups and sandwiches in nice quaint atmosphere.
Wonderful food and staff! Try the onion rings!
Great place
Just ate at the Olde World Bakery and Bistro with the family. I had a refreshing salad called The Farmer's Wife that I covered in a lemon vinaigrette. My wife had a Monte Cristo dipped in a delicious raspberry jam of sorts. We split some outstanding cheese sticks with marinara sauce, fried pickles with a ranch-ish sauce, and some sweet potato fries with an indescribable cinnamon-marshmallow sauce - seriously, the sweet potato fry sauce is unbelievable. Finally, we grabbed some fresh macarons from the bakery on the way out. Every aspect of the meal was incredible. Could have been a little cooler inside, but on a 90 degree day, any restaurant would be difficult to keep cool. It was a wonderful experience and we will definitely visit again when we are in the area.
Outstanding
This place has the worst service. We came in with 11 people. We waited over an hour for our food. A group of 8 came in after us. They ordered are and were passing out to go plates before we even saw a crumb from the kitchen. The man at the front could not have cared less. Our waiter was a nice man but seemed to be overwhelmed with the amount of tables and people that he had to handle for himself.
Great service & decent food!
I enjoyed the food my wife enjoyed hers and then we're going back dirty again they were very friendly
Great atmosphere, live music. Huge portions! Big fan of the fried pickles and housemade ranch
Wonderful place to eat. Local and natural foods from scratch like Grandma used to make. I love to visit here often and use it as my office too.
The amount of food you get for the price you pay is awesome. And the food is so good.
