I ordered 40 doughnuts and a quarter sheet cake with a free smash cake for my daughters first birthday. I told them about my order 1 month in advance. Two days before the event I went in to actually place my order. They told me they were out of smash cakes? Like they're a bakery and couldn't make one in two days... So I cancelled the cake ordered. So I just ordered the 40 misc doughnuts. The day came and I went to pick up our doughnuts and they said their fryer went down so they only had 30 for me... I am all about supporting local businesses but I just simply did not have a good experience here. I dealt with two different ladies and one of them was nice and helping and the other was short with me and almost rude. I don't know if I'd go back..

I grew up on Tate Ave, one street over. My gramma raised me. One of the ladies who worked at Michael's Bakery lived 3 houses down from us. We called her "Losti". I'm sure she.has passed by now I was just a little girl and now 63. We used to go to this bakery every morning and get their crumbs and small pieces frrom the bread slicer from bread that had been sliced for the birds. My gramma a always got breads & pastries here and oh my goodness I've been wanting to go back to the old neighborhood ever since. I can still smell all the good things being made❤

For the past six years a birthday cake order that doesn't change except for the color of the frosting flowers/lettering was done correctly ONCE. The other five was from not writing down the entire order/missing parts and pieces then for me to be blamed and told there was misspoken parts even after they verified what my order was (exactly everything I told them) and persistent forgetting. I would let it go if it happened once or twice, but five times in six years for such a simple request (putting almonds around the round tort like the rectangular ones). I'd rather be told no than having that accepted into the order and not followed through Spending $45 for a fantastic quality cake is fine, but this year's cake I was told that I can be given what they forgot to to do and finish decorating my cake at home. Seriously???? There was a casual sorry and quick call to the manager of how to fix this...the fix was I finish decorating my cake AGAIN!!! (the other years I had to go out, get the what was left off, and finish decorating my cake). No one is to be yelled, that's straight up rude to do, but I just want to know what's up or how can I make my order easier to do because it is hard to be a baker (or any job really).

For the first time in my life I found the best donut way better than troyer's Bakery and Buehler's Bakery any Walmarts Bakery. Haha... In 1964 at age 11, I was a Plain Dealer paperboy on Hood Ave & would start my route at 6am... The smell of bread baking is still with me this 50+ years later! I occasionally have to make a trip into town to get my fix of that amazing Rye Bread. For the last month or so, I've been craving an old fashioned "Butter Ring" & can't find one anywhere! I'll be planning an early morning trip one day soon to fulfill that craving... Michael's is without question, the real deal when it comes to an old fashioned bakery. The best!

I go here often as it is one of the best bakeries in the area. Authentic quality sweets and breads. In fact I stopped here today! I picked up some Miami's (I don't see these often), bread and a round Rasberry Cheese Danish. I couldn't pass it up as it looked good. We will have some for dessert tonight. Some other favorites are the cookies, beehive's, "fans" and so much more. Oh, I have to stop there I can feel the pounds creeping on as I write this lol. Make sure to check out this local favorite as it will become one of yours too.

We walked in as a big group (5 adults and 4 kids) so it was a little bit crowded inside, but right away one of the baker's came out and asked if the kids wanted a tour of the actual bakery area in the back. They loved it! Best poppy seed roll around, plus lots of other delicious treats!

I personally don't really buy anything except a coffee generally when I am there. The staff however is friendly every time I'm there and my girlfriend absolutely loves their cream cheese donuts. This business does catering services as well. Granted they seem a little expensive on some items but you pay for in house prepped baked goods and they make your drinks right in front of you. If I ate the stuff, I'd suggest no other place to go for these treats.

We are friends with the bakery owners so we are biased somewhat. Their baked goods and coffees are very good. On Sunday morning, a small church group meets at the bakery. We have good fellowship, teaching and intimate worship. This must be what it was like in the early days of our faith when believers met together in each other's dwellings, simply and spontaneously. How refreshing! Bring your own snacks and drinks. The bakery is closed on Sunday.
