(Translated by Google) It is a small and cute shop, but you can also eat it. It seems that you can also eat a set meal? There were about 7.8 kinds of beetroot bread in Japan and about 6 kinds of cakes. I bought a melon bread ordinary and matcha tea, an apricot bread and a sausage bread. The melon bread contained cream inside. All were very delicious! There was no private parking lot, but you can park on the road.

Nice people. Very clean. Food fresh and tasty. Katsu sandwich great.

Adorable cafe! It is a very small operation, so be prepared to take your time. Definitely try the Gen Maicha green tea. The Katsu sandwich is great, but they might sell out.

Shannon Wayne

The lunch menu is 3 options, all come with a salad or a miso soup. How delightful and fresh! Worth the 10 minute wait for them to prep it. Very clean and quiet atmosphere.

My family and I enjoyed the delicious pan de jamón (typical Venezuelan bread), pastries, fruits and coffee. Chako will be relocating to 611 Main Street in Covington, KY in October 2018. Make sure you visit Chako Bakery, you won't be disappointed.

This place is amazing. Super friendly, fantastic food, very clean, and peaceful. For anyone who has been to Japan and is looking to get authentic flavors that you can't find anywhere else...this is the place to go. Do yourself a favor and go on Fridays and get the curry soup...it will change your life

All the food here is delicious! Get a bread, I've tried a lot of their breads and it's always changing so there is always something new to try along with some favorites that come back. Chako has some great breads, the flavors are balanced so well! It's not so sweet that it makes you feel guilty about eating it. The Bread tastes fresh and flavorful. Their lunch items are also great! The Katsu Sando is so good, and the Karaage (fried chicken) is perfect. These items are made to order so it does take a little bit of time to but it's more than worth it to get such a great meal! Plus you can sit down and enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee, and a sweet bread. It's a must try!

Artisan baking. Beautiful presentation. My custom birthday cake was delicious and beautiful.

I love the simplicity and warmth that Chako gives to its customers. The staff are very sweet and helpful and a lot of them seem to speak Japanese too. They serve very good karaage (a form of breaded fried chicken) sandwiches and also have a selection of what looks like carefully chosen teas. Their pastries a beautiful and delicious, and they also feature a selection of Japanese breads with mixed in delights like bacon and matcha. Their pastries are not only sweets, they also have savories! My favorite staple is their salmon-filled onigiri (rice ball wrapped in dried seaweed) which is sort of a full meal for me. Highly recommend for a quick cheaper place to grab a bit of Japanese that won't be 20+ dollars.

(Translated by Google) I didn't think there would be such a Japanese style cafe in the Midwest of the United States. In Japan, a calm cafe located in Karuizawa. It also matches the historic city of Cincinnati very well. Nostalgic and tender taste. I was healed by Japanese fried chicken and cakes that I had eaten after a long time. Even if you go with your children, it's an atmosphere that will welcome you with ease. I was very happy about the store's care. It seems that there is no parking lot, and there is no parking lot and the street is crowded, but there was a lot of places where the car could be parked at a place slightly bent from the street, so it was not enough for parking lot.

Staff is friendly and dining room is good enough for the space. Food was amazing as well. Chicken katsu sando + matcha roll cake. Sando was perfect, the shokupan toasts wonderfully and balances out the rest of the greatness in the sando. Matcha roll cake was perfect. The matcha flavor of the cake is suble, unlike other matcha baked goods out there. And the cake is dense and soft at the same time? I'm sure I could describe it better but it disappeared from my plate so quickly....

Incredible food. Staff was friendly. I recommend the katsu sando. Only issue I have is that I want to try all of the pastry offerings.

Absolute best cafe and bakery in the Cincinnati area. Quiet, relaxing, the service is stellar. Coffee is delicious, lunch is refreshing and filling, breads and pastries are a work of art. Everything looks beautiful. To come to this place is a spiritual experience.

Delicious Japanese sandwiches and the bakery is run by a very talented and kind woman. They're moving to Mainstrasse in October 2018 so I hope more people will try this cafe!

We arrived with around 10 people in front of us. It was very disorganized. After about 10 minutes we were next in line. Then what seemed like the owner, they recognized the person behind us, ask for their order and gave it to them for free.

Really enjoyed talking to the cashier. She was so nice to my niece and I. And the owner was super nice. The breads and desserts I had were good. Will update after I order a cake from there.

Chako is a cute little place on Main in Covington, with a small selection of lunch plates, breads and cake. The sandwiches here do not disappoint, with its thick cut of pork or chicken. The tonkatsu didn’t have its traditional panko crust as far as I could tell, but it was still great. Definitely more than filling for a simple lunch. Something that was confusing was the “karaage sando”, which does not mean a sandwich and side of karaage, but instead essentially refers to chicken katsu sandwich.

Very kind staff and wonderful Japanese style bakery. What can go wrong?

Kaitlyn Brewer

Got the onigiri lunch box, it came with deliciously fried chicken and a fresh salad. It's the only place in town that serves onigiri, and it tastes totally authentic. Absolutely recommend.

Really amazing food!!!!

I received an absolutely beautiful and heavenly cake from Chako's bakery for my birthday. The cafe smelled amazing already, but the moment she lifted the lid of the cake container, the room filled with the scent of french cream and berries. I may never find a finer cake, unless I get another from Chako; she is truly the hidden gem of Covington.

(Translated by Google) I didn't know there was such a place for nearly 4 years. I should have known more quickly. The bread is almost Japanese quality and is good for Japanese. ^ _ ^ I ate cutlet and fried sand but it was delicious. The salad was also freshly picked vegetables, so it seemed like I had eaten such a delicious salad in the United States for the first time. Since parking is on the street, parallel parking is mandatory. (Original) 約4年近くいてこんな所があるとは知りませんでした。もっと早く知っておくべきでした。パンは

Fantastic brunch, Chako prepared venezuelan Cachitos and Pan de Jamon for us (ordered in advance), we also had salad and Kara-age, both had great flavor and presentation and of course a very good coffee. All in a very cozy environment, wish I live closer to go every week, gracias Chako

AMAZING addition to the Greater Cincinnati culinary scene! The Japanese pastries and lunch options are very authentic and delicious. The staffs are very kind and helpful if you have any questions. I am already hooked and this is my favorite new place :-)

Absolutely fantastic. Incredible textures of baked good unlike anything else around! Chako is wonderful!

Austin Shumate

Amazing! Food was delicious, and the owners and staff were soooo friendly! Teas are really refreshing.

Chako Bakery Cafe is a great place to grab a quick bite of delicious pastries. There are also savory choices that I will try next time. It has a cozy dining area that can seat a large group. The people working there were very nice. Definitely worth a visit.

I love that Cincinnati has a Japanese bakery. Prior I used to have to drive up to Columbus to get Japanese baked goods. My only complaint are the hours. I work on the east side of the city which makes getting to the bakery difficult due to their hours. Would be nice if they were open past five one day a week.

Jessica Meyer

Good selection of not your typical baked goods. Wonderful bread.

We got two sandwhiches with miso soup and miso salad. The pork is better than the chicken but both are great! Ask for mayo on the pork sandwich!

Yume32 M

Came on a Sunday afternoon and everything was great. I wouldn't recommend coming here if you have big group or no time. It's a small cute bakery with yummy desserts and breads. Would definitly come here again.

Chako Bakery Cafe is a lovely place to spend a lazy day. The bakery selctions are always unique and tasty. The "setto" or dining sets are beyond delicious and offer a peak at what a true Japanese dining experience looks like. The decor is simple and pleasing. The staff are always friendly and helpful. This is by far one of my favorite places in the Cincy and Northern KY area!

Delicious freshly baked breads and cakes as well as sandwiches and soups.

Charming place... Great food... Exceptional people/service!

Lara Rumizen

We had the karaage sando and the onigiri and karaage lunch. Everything was fresh and very high quality. The karaage was incredibly delicious. I loved the onigiri.
